We signed up for a weeks retreat with fitness retreat Thailand under the explorer package at 5000 baht per person. The explorer package said it included a morning and evening activity (this is just the class schedule), unlimited access to the class schedule, a weekly massage and pick up from the airport. We came by boat so weren’t offered pick up (an extra 4 minutes from the airport). We went straight to Superpro Samui where all the classes are held and realised they offer the same package minus the massage (which we weren’t offered) and the pick up from the airport (which we weren’t offered) for half the price (2500 baht). When we asked Jaz what the difference was in the two packages she advised Fitness Retreat Thailand provided more guidance. We received no contact from Fitness Retreat Thailand apart from 2 WhatsApp’s throughout the week. The team and classes at Superpro Samui are fantastic but I would recommend saving your money and booking directly with them instead of going with Fitness Retreat Thailand - a massage and a lift from the airport is not worth an extra 2500.

Together with my wife, we've done the fitness retreat in Thailand for two weeks. Thijs was our trainer and the lessons were very good and professional. We stayed at the Banana Fan sea resort (part of the deal with fitness retreat) which was also very good. Recommended.

Love how they make the schedules for you and the meals included are so tasty. Great atmosphere, great people and awesome locations. Would 100% do it again

As a 60 year old overweight guy I stayed for 4 weeks having training 6 days a week including fitness meals and Banana Fan Sea hotel. The time was a full success! I lost weight, I feel much better and I had fun all over the time. Everybody was sooo polite at SuperPro and at the hotel, the training was always managed according to my personal capabilities. The training got never boring as it consisted of different courses like crossfit, endurance, hiking, swimming, yoga, beach workout and MuayThai. Special thanks to Thijs, who did his job really great in being the personal trainer and organizer. Finally some words to the hotel Banana Fan Sea. A really great location to stay for several weeks. Located at the sea with a very nice pool and spacious rooms. Always clean and very obliging. I can only recommend to everyboday this retreat suitable for trained and untrained people.

One of my most favorite places in the world. Sport facilities are perfect. I go for MuayThai and crossfit at least one time every year. Rooms are good, beds are big, staff is so helpful with everything and everything is very clean and taken care of. This year will be my sixth visit. What I love the most is that I go there and don’t have to worry anymore. Sleep, train and eat! But then twice a day in that order;) Absolutely my happy place.

I signed up for a three weeks program and it was a great experience. The pace and the mix of the activities and exercises was perfect for me and could be adjusted along the way. Everyone at the gym were fantastic and I had met some really good people and had made a few friends. All the trainers there are great. Thijs and Jasmine were both very decent people. Thijs was a great guy and had corrected some of my bad habits and postures with my exercises. I did the program for “enthusiasts” and you do need a certain level of fitness to fully enjoy the experience. All and all, I highly recommend it to anyone who like a challenge, both physically and mentally. It was an unforgettable journey for myself and I had done things which I thought was not physically possible for myself until I did the program. I had already planned to go back for more next year.

We have just done a week long explorer package and it was great! We only did the crossfit and yoga sessions but the PTs/teachers were all excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the classes and the excellent facilities. The hotel room (we stayed on site) was really nice with a big comfortable bed, balcony, good AC and a fridge. There’s a nice pool on site and it’s a 10 min walk from the beach and close to a 7eleven. We also had a tasty breakfast included every morning which they were able to tailor to be vegetarian. The only slight drawbacks were it felt a little disorganised at the start- just needed someone to explain how it works and that you can just turn up to any of the classes each day. I think we didn’t get a schedule because we were on the explorer package so were very much left to our own devices, but once we knew how it worked this was completely fine! It would also be useful to have the exact date of checkout confirmed before arrival instead of just ‘1 week’. On the website it said a massage is included but we never heard anything about this (although to be fair we didn’t ask). Also understood from emails that a food package would be available however this wasn’t the case (apart from breakfast), but lots of restaurants nearby so not a problem. Despite the above I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the retreat and wish I could have stayed for longer! We had a fantastic experience.

A really amazing gym with superb accommodation. I stayed here for a month and trained hard! Enjoyed my usual Muay Thai routine but also learning some new mixed martial arts and joining in with the intense but really fun crossfit classes. The trainers are also really patient and full of expert tips to get you fighting/training like a pro!!!

I have been here many times over the course of the last years. Every year it became better and bigger. Every year I made friends who I still see and speak on a regular basis, from Holland and abroad. The staff is superfriendly! They will make you feel right at home! The vibe with the other guests is very good to, everyone is willing to help you on your fitness journey. In short; overall great experience and I can't wait to get back there again!

We trained here for a week during our holidays. We enjoyed it and learned a lot. Personal Trainer Sessions are included, where a Trainer will observe every movement and teach how to do it better. Also liked that you can try a lot of new stuff, as for example Muay Thai.

I had a truly magical experience! From the team, the program, the location, the depth of knowledge the team has, the flexibility in the training schedule to fit your needs, the vast selections of activities available, the awesome meal plans, the fantastic accommodation with sea view literarily by the beach. I cannot give justice to how amazing the overall experience was for me. I went for a two weeks transformation package, all I can say is if you truly want an experience that you will never forget and will literally transform you, I seriously recommend you to look no further. Fitness Retreat Thailand truly over delivered, and exceeded any expectation I had. Beside the awesomeness of the experience, you will get to meet the most incredible team ever, Robbie, Kwang, Thijs and Jasmin, you guys are truly a magnificent team, amazing coaches and very inspiring individuals. I cannot wait to come back again very soon. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience!

I have just come back from Koh Samui with Fitness retreat Thailand. I have honestly had the best 8 days with them. Everything was so well organised and taken care of , so when i arrived i had nothing to worry about- from being greeted at the airport, to the accommodation ( which was so lovely btw) to the transport to the classes everyday . You will get a schedule for the week based on the type of experience you want and if you want to add more or adapt in anyway- Jasmine is always on hand to help you with that . The schedule is great as it also gives you lots of time to explore the island and do your own thing which i loved as i didnt want to be on a clock where i had no free time! ! I tried Muay Thai for the first time and absolutely loved it . The team at Superpro Samui are the best , they have so much knowledge and the training they do caters for all levels. I was a complete novice to Muay Thai and they were so patient with me and taught me so much in the short time i was there. A highlight of my week was the Jungle hike we did with Jasmin and Thijis (a P/T & breathwork expert at Superpro Samui who does alot of the workouts ) , the sights and views were amazing and something you would never normally experience as a tourist to the island. The local knowledge they have is incredible. To sum up the week - i swam, i hiked, i did cross fit, endurance workouts , beach workouts, breath work, yoga i tried Muay Thai and i also got time to unwind and relax The time i spent was just what i needed. I'll definitely be back .

Really enjoyed Fitness Retreat! The gym was approximately 10 minutes by car away from the hotel. Jasmin made a programme for me which included yoga and beach workouts and individual classes with her. I did not see the accommodation near the Gym but heard it was comfortable. My hotel was on the beach which was magical. I did some early morning workouts at the beach facilitated by the lovely Thi( Dutch guy). He was unfailing kind and adapted the exercises to suit my very unfit self. Jasmin did some individual classes with me in the gym plus a fab yoga on the beach in the evening! Pai ( ? Correct spelling), Thi and Jasmin ( I did not meet any other staff) were great and adapted to what I wanted.

From mid-June to mid-July, B&S ventured to the Fitness Retreat Thailand in Koh Samui. We decided to take the plunge on a month long retreat - we had become very unfit (and unmotivated) and needed a reset. We both came with some fitness but not much. B was a lot fitter than S. We are in our 60s and knowing that we had to do something now to regain some fitness and wanted to be serious about this. We decided to enrol in the transformation package - accommodation, all meals except Sundays (cheat day) and an exercise plan that was negotiable depending on circumstances. So, what did we do right? The time of year was perfect. The length of time was perfect (except would have liked to have stayed longer). The combination of exercises were perfect. Food was great and extremely healthy - but huge! So, were never hungry. What would we change - starting point - should be a lot fitter. We needed two weeks (especially S) to get a reasonable amount of fitness to be able to cope. Day 2 we were wondering how we were going to last the distance. However, we did get into a rhythm, even if it did mean that we were the worst tourists ever. We stayed 1.3 km from the gym (beautiful resort on the beach and highly recommend for the location and closeness to facilities). We walked to the gym 1-3 times a day. We walked home between sessions when they weren’t back-to-back - for food, rest, or a beach swim. What did we do - combination of many sessions - loved them all (although not very good at some). Mauy Thai, swimming, crossfit, endurance, yoga, beach workout, hiking, gym PT, calisthenics, breathwork, ice baths, paddleboarding, body scans and massages! It was amazing. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, super friendly and young. We learnt so much and were very sad to leave. We worked out that over the four week period, we attended 81 sessions, 3 body scans and 4 official massages. These ranged in start time from 5.00 am (not very often) to finishing at 9.00 pm (twice per week). Biggest challenge - keeping going once home and back to our lifestyle, fitting in exercise and work. Would we do it again - absolutely - totally loved it! Would we go for shorter/longer - longer! Were we too old? No - and they didn’t even go light on us because we were significantly older and less fit than most people there, which was great. Recommendations • Know what you want to achieve before going. • Get some fitness behind you before getting there. • Listen to suggestions. There were things we didn't want to do but decided to try them (e.g., ice baths - very challenging, but totally worth it - invigorating, refreshing). • Make sure you take a plate and cutlery with you if you are on a meal plan. • Check Visa restrictions • Ensure you have fun!
