Best department store in Kobe..wonderful food court on level B1 and some nice eateries on upper floors. Wide variety of goods and services on all levels..

Multi-storied shopping mall located at the Kobe city centre offering very good shopping choices for all people.

We use this place to shop for Kobe desserts and snacks. B1 floor is diffinately a heaven for sweet tooth. Since most of the Kobe famouse cake and pastry store seem to have an outlet here, including Motomachi Cake, Juchheim, and many more. We also love the C3 Tiramisu. There is a sign of "Kobe Gift" indicates that this is a local store. So, if you have a limited time and want to explore the famous Kobe Sweet or buy souvenirs, then this might be a good option.

There is a special event: food and products from Hokkaido! Lots of sea food products, but also: meat, cheese, snacks, goodies, etc. Taste is excellent but pricey! It is certainly worth exploring and trying out some dishes. Definitely recommend it!

Tip: go DOWNSTAIRS to B1 for the food floor. Half of it is a supermarket, the other half deli, desserts, breads and you-name-it ready to take out.

High end department store with a wide array of quality products. The number of branded food stalls in the basement is rather impressive.

Haven't go inside the building yet, but it's very good outside

This is the iconic department store at Sannomiya, Kobe. It's a bit pricy, but you can purchase most of the well-known Western brands like Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Dolce and Gabbana, etc. As the similar stores go in Japan, this one also has the gourmet food stores at the basement, and a variety of restaurants at the top floor, which you may not be able to reach by an escalator (only one leads there), though. Probably, you'd like to take a lift, instead. There is sometime an event at the same floor. When we went there on Feb., the exhibition of the foods from Hokkaido was going on. There is a strict facemask rule applied inside the store, and the thermographic cameras are in place at the entrance, by the way (probably up to May 2023). So if you are not covering half up your face, don't try and get in there.

This is a typical Asian department store with individual sections for different designers. Some of them even have their own physical store inside the store. Most of them are high priced well known designers. The 9th floor has a few restaurants, but overall, I found the choices a bit limited and a bit high priced. Generally speaking, the store seemed clean with friendly staff.

I don't remember how many times I enjoy coming to visit this valuable department store right after walking around the old China town next to it. Kobe has been a great international city ever since Edo period. This amazing shop is more than a little history.

Very good department store with a great selection of goods from clothing to housewares to everything in between.. Top quality too and with lots of designer names thrown in, both menswear and ladies and childrens wear. Plenty of places upstairs to eat also. Takes a while to walk around if you are taking everything in, but a great way to kill time.
