This is a valuable facility for preserving the damage and lessons learned from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake for future generations. Although I felt a little scared due to the abundance of videos, theater, and storytellers, I was able to view the disaster as a personal issue rather than an HR issue. I think this is a facility that many people should visit at least once in order to prepare for and prepare for the upcoming Nankai Trough earthquake and Tokyo metropolitan earthquake.

I understand japanese culture and people more after visiting the museum. It truly and deeply shocks at first and then explains and edutains it's visitors about disasters and safety measures.

It's a multi disciplinary museum, history (living history and primary accounts), science (why these three things happen) and some health and safety advice ( stay or get out of the car in an earthquake)

A shocking and insightful look at the terror that the January 17, 1995 Earthquake had on Japan. It was a somber glimpse at that period in time that now defines many of the regulations that Japan has for its infrastructures. If you enjoyed the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, you should definitely add this to your list.
