This review is specifically for their day program for hot spring access. There was access to both the indoor and outdoor gold and silver hot springs on the lower level. Front desk was very accommodating and helped to translate for me. Clean and comfortable changing rooms. No clothing is allowed in the hot springs but a modesty towel is allowed/provided. Unfortunately due to covid and the time of day I was there, a couple restaurants were closed and the gift shop was on break so I wasn't able to use the coupons provided with the day pass.

The both spa at the basement and the top floor are fascinating. The lobby, hallway, rooms are all spacious. The dinner and the breakfast buffet are wonderful.

Built in 1959 you would never know as Arima Grand Hotel had been well cared for over the years and continuously updated. Beyond the wonderful rooms I cannot recommend enough the iron baths that they have as they leave your skin feeling nice and smooth. Lastly, the owner and management are amazing. My wife's family has been coming to the hotel for many years. He personally had the chef prepare a little something special for our families dinner to say congratulations for our marriage a month back. The owner even personally saw us off despite there being a large crowd.

Amazing hotel. Great hospitality every time we stay. The food is delicious and the hot spring is great. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Grand Arima Hotel was great! The set meal provided was very personal and provided a unique look at the Japanese culture. All the staff were friendly and eager to help. The onsens were very relaxing. There is a free shuttle bus to Arima Onsen town. Overall, this hotel is great for a relaxing getaway. :)

Nice ambiance and they have public bath at the top floor for viewing the sunrise while bathing and also at the basement. And the massage is very good.

Whole hotel and spa were closed on Apr25 without proper information on website, so we made the trip to arima grandhotel for nothing

Disappointing. I’ve been coming here over the years, but the hygiene standards have deteriorated. The 9th floor onsen is not well cleaned or maintained. The younger cleaners are very lazy (the girl with the short hair can’t clean or do anything). Where are the older staff? This generation is pretty hopeless and unwilling to keep the standard. The western restaurant waitress is also very unprofessional. The 9th floor onsen is poorly kept. The girl doesn’t even want to change the towels. Why do you hire these lazy people?
