Very beautifully landscaped, small, well-kept park right next to the basilica. There are a few park benches to allow you to take in the area, not just by walking through it. Worth seeing and experiencing.

What a splendor of flowers! The beds are so lovingly cared for and the whole area with its statues and benches and greenery invite you to linger. The whole region around the Deutsches Eck is generally such a wonderful place: water playground, beer gardens, Deutsches Eck itself, kiosks, Rhine promenade, Castorkirche and the nearby old town - no wonder that the Federal Garden Show was held here in 2011 and with the cable car up to Ehrenbreitstein, has become an attraction! But the flowers here are definitely a brilliant addition (see photos).

A small green area next to the basilica. It was very quiet here on Sunday morning. The gardens were redesigned for BUGA 2011 and the result is impressive with lots of flowers and fountains.

Awesome place

Wir wurden im Blumenhof noch nie enttäuscht. Vor allem in kulinarischer Hinsicht. Weiter so!

Es ist immer wieder schön, sich auf eine Bank zu setzen und die Blumenbeete im Schatten von St. Kastor zu bewundern.

The surroundings of Blumenhof justify the place with its name. Lots of floral installations. I took pictures of everything, although already at dusk. She decorated herself with a flower and enjoyed the walk. Parking is nearby as well as Deutsche ecke and the cable car.

The former monastery garden impresses with its great splendor of flowers and blooming bushes.

Very worth seeing and away from the usual tourists, you can relax here before you continue.

The Blumenhof is a small park that was newly created on the occasion of the 2011 Federal Garden Show between the Ludwig Museum, housed in the Deutschherrenhaus, and the Basilica of St. Kastor, not far from the Deutsches Eck. The area, surrounded by benches, consists of several flowerbed fields, which - as during the BUGA - are planted seasonally, as well as two water features. Beyond the hustle and bustle at Deutsches Eck, the Blumenhof is a welcome oasis of peace and reflection.
