Koblenz and its fortress are absolutely stunning! The most impressive thing is the view of the city from above, with its beautiful old town located between the two rivers - Rhein and Mosel. I really enjoyed the cable car ride and the panorama; less remarkable are the museums and exhibitions inside the fortress. The funniest thing happened to me in the archaeological museum: the security guard told me that it was forbidden to take pictures there, so I had to delete the ones I had already taken. Of course I didn't complain; on the contrary, that made me laugh a lot!!! In Italy we have plenty of archaeological sites, museums, finds that are far better than those and that can also be photographed! I really didn't need those pictures, I even don't know why I had taken them! So I want to thank the security guard for reminding me to delete files that would only have occupied space in my hard drive. As far as the museum curators are concerned: it makes no difference to me at all, but please note that this is not the best thing to do if you want to promote the little you have. P.S.: Now I see that you have published some videos about the house of archaeology on YouTube...so your photo ban makes me laugh even more!!!

Der Besuch des Landesmuseum Koblenz ist dem Aufstieg zur Festung auf jeden Fall wert. Allein die herrliche Aussicht über das Deutsche Eck, wo die Mosel in den Rhein mündet, ist Atemberaubend. In den Ausstelungshäusern erfährt man, auf sehr anschauliche, wie einprägsame Weise, viel über die Siedlungsgeschichte, den Weinbau, Archäologische Funde, usw. Besonders gut geeignet für Kinder. Hier gibt es viel zu entdecken. Das Personal ist absolut freundlich, kompetent und hilfsbereit. Man sollte aber viel Zeit mitbringen. Wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne hier her zurück.

Awesome view point to see the beauty of Rhine and Mosel. I really liked it being here with my family.

Fortres Ehrenbreitstein is definately worth a visit for every fortification enthusiast. Be prepared for a bit of stepes and walking. There should be more english infotexts around. Expositions are not over-stuffed.

Eine der interessantesten und imposantesten Festungsanlagen Deutschlands mit einer 5000 jährigen Geschichte. Ein Besuch ist immer lohnenswert, am besten sogar mehrere Tage einplanen um alles zu sehen. Wunderbarer Ausblick auf Koblenz und das Deutsche Eck. Zusammen mit einer Seilbahnfahrt ist die schöne Altstadt Koblenz zu besichtigen.

Sehr beeindruckend die ganze Anlage. Die Aussicht auf das deutsche Eck und Kassel ist super. Wir hatten Glück es war noch die Räuber Hotzenplotz Ausstellung. War schon cool nochmal eine Reise in die Kindheit. Aber auch so die Geschichte der Festung war beeindruckend und gut dargestellt. Der Besuch hier lohnt sich

Sehr informativ und umfangreich gestaltet, dabei abwechselreich mit kleinen Filmen und Audiogeschichten gestaltet. Für Kleinkinder zu langatmig.

Die Ausstellung über Gesten ist großartig und unbedingt zu empfehlen!

Wir waren total beeindruckt von der Festung. 🤩
