Went to this cafe because of the reviews but - what a waste of time. Terrible, non existent service! Everyone in the reviews raved about the food!!! I ask - what food?! This is a tiny cafe, that, if you're lucky, might seat 15 people on a good day. There is so little room they don't have a counter service so the staff come to you to take your order. Perhaps absent-minded could best describe our waitress, who turned up to take our coffee order. Which, after taking, she turned on heal and flounced off before we had any chance of asking for food. Well - we surmised, perhaps they do this a little differently here and take the food order once they bring your drink - BUT No!!!!! Plonked the drinks down and did a great disappearing trick - Houdini would be proud!!!! Apparently they just didn’t need any customers messing up the kitchen today. So, despite trying to gain the attention of the 2 staff (who appeared completely engrossed for 10 minutes in the detail required to cut a cake) we left without tasting ANYTHING. Won't bother returning EVER.

Stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe as we waited for our train, and were extremely pleased with the cleanliness and lovely interior. The staff member that served us was great and took the extra time to explain all the excellent varieties of cakes. The one we chose was salted caramel apple cheesecake, which blew me away with its light yet rich texture and blooming flavours and I couldn’t recommend it enough. A fully well deserved 5 stars and if I ever find myself in Koblenz I will surely make my way back down to try more of those wonderful cakes with another cup of tea.

Das Café Guglhupf ist zwar schon lange kein Geheimtipp mehr, aber immer noch ein kulinarisches Kleinod in Koblenz. Die Inhaberin backt Tag für Tag frische Kuchen in der klitzekleinen Küche. Ihr Kernthema sind Käsekuchen verschiedenster Art, aber es gibt auch andere Dinge wie Rührkuchen, Brownies u.v.m. - neben "Dauerbrennern" sind auch täglich besondere Leckereien dabei. Es lohnt sich also auf jeden Fall, sich einmal alle vorhandenen Kuchen zeigen und erklären zu lassen. Wagen Sie ruhig ein Experiment; Sie werden sicher nicht enttäuscht sein. Ich für meinen Teil habe jeden Kuchen (und klang er zunächst noch so ausgefallen) außerordentlich genossen. Die Käsekuchenkreationen sind außergewöhnlich gut. Der Besitzerin gelingt es, den Käsekuchen so herzustellen, dass er zart auf der Zunge zergeht. Ein Gedicht. Das Café ist recht klein, aber sehr gemütlich. Das Ambiente empfinde ich als sehr angenehm. Dank der geringen Größe und der direkt benachbarten, winzigen Küche, wird beim Backen auch der Gastraum mit köstlichsten Düften geflutet. Schon alleine das ist den Besuch wert. Natürlich gibt es auch frische Kaffee- und Teespezialitäten. Mein Favorit ist ein "weißer Schokopresso", also eine weiße Trinkschokolade mit einem Schuss Espresso und Milchschaum. <3 Also: das Café Guglhupf lohnt auf jeden Fall einen Besuch. Und wenn alle Plätze besetzt sein sollten, können Sie immer noch Kuchen mitnehmen und ihn zu Hause genießen.

Perfect ambient for morning breakfast or evening coffee. A quite place to enjoy your meal with the fragrance of freshly baked bread, cookies and cake. Should be checked if card pay is possible before dine in,cause we could not. Luckily had some cash wich save the days🥳🥳.

So good, wish I could give it 6*! Very relaxing and cute cafe that specialises in cheesecake. The selection was exquisite, from fruit to chocolate to crème brûlée. The Appel streusel was perfectly balanced. Raspberry and chocolate was rich and dreamy. Very smooth coffee to go with. Super friendly hostess.

Wunderbares Café. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, leckerer selbstgemachter Kuchen, sehr schokoladig, den wir hatten, super! Sowie der Saisonale Frischkäseteller mit verschiedenen Geschmacksrichtungen von Herzahft bis Dattel-Süß. Was für ein Vergnügen. Eine Empfehlung um den Tag schön zu starten und die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Sollte man mal in Koblenz sein, ist ein Abstecher hier hin zu empfehlen!!😃
