A very good Bavarian restaurant, with tasty food and a nice view. the cheese cake "Käsekuchen" was super nice I highly recommend it.

Good place on mountain top to eat and enjoy food.

Food was horrible, tasted very old and couldn't even finish the dish and I very rarely don't finish it. At least the view is very nice. But stay away from the food!

Nice place to take refuge from the elements ('einkehren'). Lovely views to enjoy a coffee with.

Although a bit pricey (for not that big of a schnitzel), it has many tasty treats and very nice views. I ate lunch before the hike to the top. After that I came back for nice big chunk of käsekuchen and delicious chocolate milk with rum, with a great view of the mountains, right after it started to drizzle (which fortunately drove most people inside).

Outstanding view, nice service. The biggest disadvantage is that you can not pay with Visa or Master cards, only cash and Germany invented EC card. And of course there is no ATM around)) That is really frustrating....

This place puts the Shire to shame. Absolutely don't go here. Totally not worth it :) A solid and advanced 2+ hr hike. Did it with kids, with no proper gear, and charged. Not for the feint of heart. Unreal nature and views - doggy heaven. Alp restaurant at the top is key and Gondola ride down!

Fantastic ropeway experience, scenic beauty, absolutely beautiful lake, with numerous hues of blue, snow clad mountain range,tall green trees,tourists with children and pets, fabulous beer with lime,fries, chicken slices and undulating walk!

You'll come across this hut on your hike to Herzogstand. It has excellent food paired with a stunning view. During the winter, it's a perfect place to pause and savor some warm, comforting dishes. Have a delightful time in this beautiful location!

A very nice and good place to spend the weekend. you can reach it by the flying cabins or through hiking trails which makes more fun. the food is with top quality as long the service, the nice staff, the surrounding view and the rooms. it is very recommended for Mountain lovers.

We came after hiking up the mountain for lunch. The beer was good, they still offer a full Maß (which I think you don’t find everywhere anymore)! We had the vegan lentil soup (so cool they had vegan options!) and the Kaiserschmarren. Both were extremely delicious and the portions were huge, probably enough to fill three people (or two starved hikers) 😂 It’s a place you want to go back to, of course it’s not a crazy downtown restaurant, but the food was actually good and we’d like to try some other things from the menu! Plus more Kaiserschmarren.

They kick you out of the terrace the moments starts raining by collecting their umbrellas, without having enough place inside to welcome the guests, the self service isn't the best and the food quite plane with too much salt on the Linseneintopf, I don't recommend

Well worth the climb to get some classic Bavarian cuisine. The terrace is lovely too when the sun's out.

The Kaiserschmarl was very tasty and came in big portion (however a bit expensive: 13,9 euros). Otherwise nice views over the valley and lots of places to sit. The service is based on self-service.

Well located and great for refreshments after the hike. Although the vegetarian knödel was very average in taste.

Very clean and cozy hostel. Excellent service and staff - lovely ladies! If you are looking for a good deal and do not expect a miracle by high stanfard this is definitely a place to be. Awesome location and super quiet!

Top view and reasonable price food. We ordered 2 beers, a potato dumpling and Currywurst with fries, total price was around 26 Eur.

Beautiful place to spend the time with family.. you can see very beautiful places from the top you can hike a little further from the haus to herzogstand peak (1730) to get the best view of kochensee and you can hike further to reach Heimgarten.

We had been really looking forward to enjoy a nice Kaiserschmarrn, but it turned out to be the worst doughy and chewy piece without even raisins we ever tasted. Views are nice, but food is totally overpriced and poor quality.
