Management is Incompetent and unprofessional.... wish we were able to give no stars!!

To new possible tenants: Think 2ice before you sign a contract with them. Support is non existent. All they care is to take your money and then when you want to leave they might give you the deposit back even 6 months later. I have lost one of my 2 keys, they don't respond to get me a new one, garbage room is a health hazard with mice roaming around, they don't care. Some electric appliances don't work for some people here, no fcks given. On the positive side the rooms look good warm and quiet.

I lived here for 10 months and I was considered lucky to get my full deposit back three months after I moved out. The processing fee they make you pay turns out to be illegal which I only found out after I left meaning they are exploiting mostly international students who do not know about this! They also disregard and want you to be unaware about your rights as a tenant! Firstly I am left completely traumatised by the state of the garbage room and secondly I had incredibly noisy neighbours which after my flatmates and I tried to reason with them and had to complain to management about them SEVERAL times nothing came out of it! They also make you feel anxious when you move out by not giving everybody thier deposits back over RIDICULOUSLY petty things! One of my flatmates was even forced to get a lawyer involved in order to fight for it! The only positive experiences I had was just that my room was brand new and clean when I moved in and when I moved out I had a decent inspector that allowed me to photograph and observe his paperwork once the inspection was complete. Overall I only had a good experience when I moved in and then when I moved out. ZERO STARS!

I wanted to rent a room here and after filling out forms and asking info, I never got a reply for confirmation. I was glad I found something else in time. Bad experience. They took very long to answer their email in general.

Since the new staff in “Die Zimmerei” I live in a much cleaner environment. The professionalism and sympathy of the team are remarkable. The quick response to damage is particularly impressive. These positive changes have significantly improved my stay. Many thanks to the dedicated team!

Unfortunately, I have had mostly very negative experiences with carpentry. Despite the very nice building with a good concept of “upscale” living for students, you are disappointed every day. Communicating with the property management via the chat function is very tedious, as answers are simply not responded to or even answered. Overcrowded garbage rooms, dirty common areas or package thefts are just a few of the problems that have not been dealt with in the slightest since I moved in in 2021 (as one of the first residents of the house). Cleaning staff and a caretaker who appears from time to time only provide a short-term solution. Four washing machines for over 200 residents is also rather ridiculous. The highlight for me is the deposit refund of over €2000. Messages, demands and deadlines from me were completely ignored. Consequently, after almost 6 months of no response, I had to hire a lawyer. The lawyer's letter including the claim was sent on Friday, I received a prompt reply in the app on Monday and the deposit was paid back to me over the course of the week. I clearly suspect that behind such inconsiderate behavior there is a system that deliberately exploits students. So I clearly can't recommend the carpentry and advise everyone to look for somewhere else to stay. Completely overpriced apartments, neglected buildings and an unscrupulous property management team.

Read!!!!!disgusting experience!!!! 1. Disgusting environment everything is filthy for weeks, people do not clean up. There are mice and rats, common areas are dirty and uncomfortable. 2. Friends from certain nationalities and ideologies and i ( arabs/muslims/pro Palestine) experienced racism/isolation/disgusting comments, and insensitive behavior on a new level here. Admins of the common group chat KICKED out a girl for sending “ Mein Beileid an all meine Palästinensische Brüder und Schwestern 🇵🇸💔“ on the group. Which started a chain of horrible accusations and stereotyping that was not dealt with neither fairly nor appropriately . As young, smart, respected, well established, respectful and peaceful logical people. We do not appreciate or accept people using certain biases against us in a forced projected way based on their perception of our ideology, religion, political stands or situations. !!!To all potential tenants coming from similar backgrounds we hope that this place harbors a more PEACEFUL welcoming and clean environment and that you do not have to deal with this. Especially not during EXTREMELY sensitive heartbreaking times.!!! Good location tho.

Until a month ago I was able to understand and sign every bad review, but since the new building management team Sharif has been in the house for about 2 months, things have improved a lot. The building is cleaner and the guys can be reached almost immediately if there are any problems.
