Fantastic steak, side dishes in a wonderful atmosphere. The service is outstanding! I highly recommend this cozy friendly restaurant.

We felt so uncomfortable that this a place was only for the owers friends. The staff asked us where we were from but then asked us how much money we make multiple times after they had given us terrible service. Totally inappropriate and unprofessional. We asked for tap water but were brought bottled water, smartly we should've turned it back but unfortunately, we excepted it only to see it was nearly 8 euros on the bill. Totally excessive. Ordered the goulash soup with bread but when it arrived to the table there was none. After asking about it they said the initial free bread provided with every table was the bread for the soup. We pointed out on the menu that the soup came with bread then they finally brought out a small portion. We felt that we were being perceived as a bother. It got worse when the GM sat at an adjacent table and kept chatting with 4 staff who seemed hoover to over over us the whole time we ate. My husband asked why they were watching us and there was no answer despite feeling like we were being diligently watched the entire time. Oddly we had to ask for the bill militiple times despite being one of only 3 tables in the restaurant. My husband eventually went to the bar to complete the sale while 2 new tables, who seemed to GM's friends, came in and were greeted with dancing by the staff, hugs, shots, beer and immediate service, while we and the other table with a family were treated like we didn't matter as much as the friends who just entered. I just felt like we were not valued to be honest. Ultimately, it didn't feel like we were important to the staff despite the fact that we were only 1 of 3 tables there. The food was okay but was not the elevated dinner that we were hoping for. Sadly we went to another place afterward to feel like we were satisfied for dinner and honestly left feeling like we had been being singled out as tourists and treated poorly. We have been in Europe for 2 months and this unfortunately was the worst dinner we have experienced after 5 weeks of going out for food multiple times daily. Again, food was decent but the experience was very off-putting and frankly ruined our evening I am sad to say. There are better options.

Great restaurant for plenty of choices of types/cuts of meat. Staff was very friendly trying to answer our English questions. They were able to accommodate our party of 7 on Christmas Eve. We ordered Ribeye, Rack of Lamb, Wild Boar, Argentina Filet. The mushroom cream sauce was good. I loved the herbs on the vegetables. Price €20-€30 for dinners. I would recommend.

First rate and both of us really enjoyed our meal there so much so we are going back tomorrow. Food is superb and would recommend this place to anyone. Staff were amazing.

Firstly, the schnitzel was very disappointing. Good quality meat, but very small and the salad was a total joke. Half a slice of a piece of tomato? Seriously? Secondly, despite ordering a certain dish that was advertised at €11, because I didn’t specify that I wanted the exact same dish from the menu at the door and not in the standard menu, I was charged €14.50. How does that work?? The same thing but two different prices in two different places?? Service was good and friendly but wouldn’t come back for that only.

After the owner review asking for the bill i've edited for a full one star, just to certify the "quality" of the service (i'm in Koln every year since 15 years for Gamescom so I don't have to show anything to prove anything. Learn manners

Everything was nice and worth the Money!!!

Service was fine. Nothing to complain. Food was very and veryyy average, especially for the price…It looked good when served but it wasn’t that good. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Potatoes were meh. Steak was ok but really nothing worthy for that price From the outside this place and others in the same street look like the ‘good, expensive’ places but it’s just a typical tourist trap. And I noticed there were more foreigners than Germans at the place.. So that is not a good sign either Better find the more local places when you want the good food. We went somewhere else next day, a more local and hidden place and it was way and way better Edit: I almost forgot to mention.. When we finished eating, I saw aloooot of rats walking around the terrace

So i should start by saying that we went on a busy saturday night, and they did accommodate us. We ordered steaks and thought we would have dessert, but we were ignored for such a long time after our mains we simply ended up just asking for a bill. Around us a lot of returned food, unhappy customers and a lot of arguments among staff. I liked my food, but paid close to 100 euros for two people, and the whole experience was very chaotic. As i said i may have turned up on a busy evening and staff were simply overworked.

This place had the potential of 4 or even 5 stars but I ended up with 2 for the following reasons. After arriving, it took a long time to even order drinks, let alone food. We kept having to move tables as they kept trying to squeeze in larger groups (if they don't fit, don't bother trying). We ended up pushed right up close to the entrance/exit. This meant we were either always cold, or breathing in cigarette smoke. When we eventually ordered our food, it took roughly an hour before we received it. The quality of the steak was ok, but the extras (chips, veggies, sauces etc) were all cheap, wholesale items. Which was a shame, because if you look at the prices, you'd probably, like me, be expecting excellent quality products on your plate. The food was horribly cold. I don't think it was the chefs fault, it even tasted like it had been sat waiting for ages. And that wasn't just my meal. Even though the Christmas Markets are super expensive to eat, it still worked out cheaper than at this steakhouse. At least the food at the markets is hotter, fresher, better quality, quicker and CHEAPER (but not cheap). I do not recommend this restaurant.

Sorry, but it is one of the worst experience you can have for a restaurant. Waited for the food for 1.5 hours. Waitress is clumsy and dropped our food. Did not complain at first but no solution was given. Left us hungry most of the time. Eventually have to give up and accept this awful experience. I would give 0 stars if can be.

Got really sick on thursday from their Schnitzel and the chef itself did prefer Germans A LOT instead of an tourist.

Staff is not friendly, had to wait 30 minutes before I got my drink after ordering. Couldn't even get a smile or "thank you" after we paid. Service was bad, we didn't even order food. We decided to eat somewhere else

Friendly staff. Delicious tender steak cooked to specification.

I order rump steak but i got just side part of meet. You can see from picture, this is not a nice steak. I left the fat part on a plate. Salat they forgot to serve and i got it later. The food here is bad and not worth the money. Just go somewhere else.

Service was not good. Too expensive for the quality of the food. The chicken wings that o ordered was raw. They add taxes just when they brought the bill, which make prices way more expensive than the prices from the menu.

Very busy place just off the Rhine. Quick service and nice steak.
