Great value for money ! Conveniently located within walking distance of the metro and bus stop. The staff was incredibly helpful. Highly recommended!. The property itself was impressively neat and well-maintained. The rooms, common areas, and facilities were all kept clean, creating a pleasant and hygienic environment for guests. It was evident that the management took pride in ensuring a high standard of clean

Pros. Location great, elevator, lockers, good WiFi. Cons. Employees are all completely unmotivated, self-absorbed, uncommitted, but with an arrogant attitude. Never experienced staff like this before. Didn't speak a single word for 4 days. They don't care at all. Although the super friendly response letter to booking when registering, bed requests were not received until after long requests, even though beds were de facto free. Beds too short. Doublebunk beds wobble. Max. 1.80m, no bed lamps, but large fluorescent tubes on the walls. Breakfast tasteless toast, frozen jam, frozen butter, 1 mini banana. No variety. Many long-term guests, Observed several times within 4 days, bed sheets and pillowcases are not dipped after the change of guests, only pulled straight without wrinkles. Not for hygienically demanding travelers. When extending the stay, I had to pay an extra charge for a smaller dorm under the pretext that there were no free beds, even though there were 2 beds available in the original dorm on the corresponding night. If you like used sheets, 1 night is ok.

I felt really unsafe during my stay. Slept with one eye open because guest (not even roommates) and staff walking in/out the room constantly. Talking and shouting outlood till midnight. Switching off the airconditioning at certain times through the day while it was 40 degrees. Weird athmosphere, multiple people left because they felt the same. Would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Did a best decision booking at this place. These guys are new and really need some exposure in order to more people to come and stay here. I had booked a room here for 2 days and before booking i had called the owner 2-3 times and everytime he answered all my questions very patiently and finally when i reached there even the staffs there were very friendly, you have full independence here as there is no time limit to enter or exit the hostel. The rooms are very clean and so is the bathroom, they provide each guests with safe cupboard with good lock facility. Also Bread-Butter-jam with tea is provided complimentary in the morning. Location: it is located in the 4th same building where HDFC Bank is located .

The double stack beds and air conditioning are in clean rooms. We are given a pantry area where we may prepare our own breakfast using appliances like an induction cooktop, a bread toaster, a kettle, and foodstuffs including bread, butter, jam, and tea bags. Bathrooms are tidy and heated.

I found this place filled with extremely friendly people (both management and people staying), the rooms and bathrooms are clean and there are proper hostel etiquette followed by everyone staying which makes it a pleasant stay without much interruptions and I was able to get my work done peacefully even though I was staying in a shared dorm. Everything was great - place is managed by professional and accommodating hosts, the friendly vibe makes it easy for guests to feel relaxed and at home to cook, lounge or work in the shared space. Highly recommend for travellers, backpackers or anyone looking for a nice and fairly priced place to stay overnight(or longer) in a great neighbourhood. Thank you for your hospitality ♥️

I stayed at this Hostel for one day and my experience was beautiful. Even though I belong to Calcutta, I felt like I was in a new Calcutta. Best for backpackers.

I stayed at the hostel for 1 month, they have a very good team of staff and the owner also helped me a lot during my stay, the owner even took me to a doctor when I had pain in my teeth. So all good for me.

It's probably the best hostel you could stay in here. Everything is decently nice and clean. Hot showers and a nice blanket on your bed. The AC was nice and cold. It's a little odd checking in, but once you understand the layout and location, it is fine. Nice staff and potable water in the kitchen for guests. I was the only female staying here that I saw, though, which was a little odd, but all went fine.

A good and cheap place to stay for tourists who have come to kolkata. Breakfast is provided (bread, jam, butter, tea, banana) which is pretty good to start the day. Also rooms are well maintained and this hostel is at a nice location near to restaurants and metro. Don't rely on the lift in this building though( an advice with experience).

The rooms are clean and hygienic. They maintain the rooms quite well. Bunk beds as well as single sharing beds are available. They also provide complimentary breakfast for the customers. For solo or duo travellers, the rooms are recommended. Tram, bus and metro to all important areas are easily available from the area.

One of the best hostels I have ever experienced. The caretaker is really so God hearted. So there is a day on Tuesday, my checkout day... All of sudden my train booking got cancelled and I have not enough money to stay anywhere bcz my budget got over. So I asked the caretaker what to do. That man literally says you can stay here in the common area, you can sleep or sit on the sofa. Use the toilets, kitchen WiFi. "It's okay, sometimes that happens" Bro that man even keep our bag in his chamber for security, (we went to the Market on the same day) Room: 4.9/5 Cleanness: 5/5 Service: 5/5

Decent dormitory located close to Sealdah railway station and MG Road metro station. Only downside was that the hostel manager asked me to cancel my online booking and book offline. And he asked me to pay in cash. Either the guy is fooling the owner and keeping the cash himself or the owner is doing it himself for tax evasion. Not a good look whatever the case may be.

This place is run by a goon - an arrogant guy. You don't believe me ? Just read the responses the hostel posts on negative comments. Horrible ! Not a safe place for women !

Nice place. Centrally located. Great for people who are on a budget trip or for those who want to stay very close to Howrah and Sealdah railway station. At walkable distance to college street. Lots of food options available nearby.

Clean rooms but a bit humid smelling. It would be great to have a place to dry your clothes. Bathrooms were also very clean and well maintained.

I really request the owner to put 2-3 more fans in the 10 bed bunker room... It is very hot during the day... We really want a cool place to stay... It is like a hot Furnace in the day around 9-10 o'clock... Requesting owner to look for it... Everything else is 10/10. Thanku

Completely over rated, very unfriendly, unhelpful staff. Just local Indians living there, they keep taking during the night, being loud. I'd never be back there. Avoid this place at all cost. There was a drunk guy living in the entrance in the ground floor. Really horrible place

Me and my 4 friends stayed here for our 1 day stop over in Kolkata Pros: -very good value for money -cleanly -well managed by reasonable and accommodating staff -1 large locker person -Can wash and dry your laundry for 100rp -They allowed us too leave our luggage with them past checkout time since our train was at midnight the next day, leaving us much more free to explore Kolkata. No negatives, thanks again for hosting our stay.

Pros: - The location is good and just 50 metres from the bus stop. - All the tourist attractions are within 30 mins from the hostel. - Rooms were nice and spacious and toilets were clean, and they kept them clean all the time 👌. - The kitchen is available to cook food for guests. - The quality of the mattress was good, but the beds need little upgrades. Cons: - Staff is helpful but untrained and needs proper training and hospitality etiquette. - This is not a traveller's hostel. This is a dormitory where anyone can stay. - A family was staying there for more than a week. - College students were staying there as paying guests on a monthly stay plan. - There is one sofa and dining table on the name of the common area in the hall that is also a part of the kitchen. So, the kitchen smoke can make you cough or sneeze sometimes. - The free breakfast is just a banana, breads and tea(you have to make it).

Good hostel with adequate facilities. Need to improve the breakfast menu as being in Kolkata, guests should be provided atleast puri, luchi, eggs fruits at nominal cost!

Friendly staff especially manager Mr. Vikas treated us with great hospitality, he went above and beyond service by giving us colour printout of exam hall ticket for us as we were running short of time, and the security was so kind that he sincerely prayed for us to get passed in exams , service and cleanliness was exceptional, took opinion from room mates and according to them they had been in other properties in Kolkata and felt city central hostel is the best in town, highly recommended for singles especially girls.
