Perfect
Location
at
Park
Street
very
close
to
major
places
of
visit
in
Kolkata.
The
positives
end
right
there.
Firstly,
the
place
is
a
little
difficult
to
spot.
Then
entrance
to
this
place
will
put
you
off
because
it
is
a
small
gully
which
is
the
back
entrance
of
restaurants
where
the
dishes
are
done.
So
the
gully
is
almost
always
wet.
The
lift
that
takes
you
to
the
backpacker's
hostel
on
the
2nd
floor
is
excruciatingly
slow.
One
would
rather
take
the
slow
lift
than
walk
up
the
stairs
which
are
dirty,
greasy
and
has
no
lighting
at
all.
There
are
common
baths
with
hot
water
facility
and
western
commode
toilets,
but
these
are
extremely
small.
The
Dorm
rooms
are
extremely
small
and
one
I
stayed
had
one
table
built
by
some
novice
carpenter
thrown
in
to
keep
the
baggage.
There
was
a
carrom
board
tucked
away
in
one
corner
which
I
wonder
had
never
been
put
to
use
in
ages.
There
were
storage
shelves,
and
one
can
purchase
a
lock
for
Rs.
30
at
the
reception
to
keep
any
valuables
locked
up.
The
AC
was
functional,
but
only
just.
The
remote
was
not
working
and
the
temperate
set
was
a
fixed
25
degrees,
which
was
uncomfortable.
The
trash
was
never
emptied
and
the
trash
bins
in
the
balcony
area
and
the
kitchen
was
almost
always
overflowing
with
empty
liquor
bottles,
chips
packets
and
tables
littered
with
cigarette
butts.
The
kitchen
area
was
extremely
dirty
and
badly
maintained.
The
tea
sauce
pan
handle
was
coming
off,
one
of
the
two
induction
cooktops
was
not
functional
and
the
other
was
greasy
and
dirty
with
the
buttons
on
the
induction
top
being
non
functional
and
a
separate
circuit
board
with
buttons
put
in
place
to
make
it
functional.
All
kinds
of
masala
packets
were
kept
open
and
the
refrigerator
is
something
worth
not
even
mentioning.
No
wonder
there
was
a
mouse
of
two
running
around
the
kitchen
(felt
like
the
Mouse
from
the
movie
Ratatouille,
which
probably
dished
out
an
impressive
meal).
The
owner
of
the
place
seems
to
be
least
bothered
about
the
place
and
was
only
boasting
about
the
location
and
the
price.
I
wonder
if
foreigners
would
ever
stay
at
this
place
if
it
is
so
dirty
and
badly
maintained.
For
almost
Rs.
700
per
night
per
person,
one
expects
a
better
deal.
I
have
stayed
in
Agra
and
Chennai
backpackers
dorms
at
a
lesser
price
with
are
much
cleaner
and
better
maintained.
I
would
advice
people
to
think
twice
before
booking
this
place
and
would
never
recommended
this
place.
