This rental was by far the best I had in Asia already. The available scooters were all almost brand new (from 2km up to 200km only!) and we got ours for a very fair rate. Also the helmets provided where fitting and protecting perfectly. The protection was tested during our rental when a car hit us while driving. Luckily both of us only had minor injuries. After I informed the owner (Bonny) about the accident he offered to help within seconds and jumped in the car to meet us in hospital which was 2 hours away. He really took great care of us and was always more worried about us than his scooter! So if you are in KK and looking for a scooter to get around I highly recommend to rent it from Bonny!

This place is awesome. Stop looking and use them. The lower end scoots start at 40rm, a few upgrade options add 10rm, and they may give you discount if you rent longer. The owner, atleast the person I believe is, was very helpful. He hooked us up with rain jackets, cell phone holder and ideas of what to do. We rented for 5 days, planned a fairly long journey, and we we returned them 1/2 day early he gave us money back for time not used. The scooters were like new and worked perfectly. The helmets fit well and were clean and safe.

I was recommended to this scooter rental company and boy, the service was amazing. There were a few very minor issues on the scooter I first got but were sorted out by Mr. Bun in a prompt and professional manner. The scooter they have are pretty new and the helmet I got was clean and did not have weird smell. They even had phone holder on most of their scooters! All of their scooters have premium insurance which really made me feel very secured. Mr. Bun gave me a very personalized service and explained everything in detail and also recommended me a few attractions to visit. Highly recommending this scooter rental company when you visiting KK.

Great place, new motorbikes. Very friendly owner. There was no problems with returning deposit. Motorbikes are in great condition and they allow you to go outside of city, not like other companies. Good insurance. I can't recommend this place more. Rented motorbike for 8 days and it was amazing.

Wide range of well maintained two-wheels to be choose: from scooter, various type of 250cc motorcycle, and even a Harley ! I myself rent a CB250 for 3 days, had a great time with that nibble bike, and the entire process from booking, taking and returning the motorcycle is hassle-free. The owner and his wife is super friendly, had the honor to spend some quality time with them, totally can tell they are really passion in what they're doing; serving and providing their customer the best service possible. And such given service mentioned above is a very rare sight in Malaysia. I can assure you that Scooter Monkey is one of the best, if not, the best, two-wheel rental you can find in Malaysia. Before i forget, to Scooter Monkey; thank you so much for renting me your motorcycle! Really appreciate all the advice given too.

We made a 3 days trip around Mount Kinabalu and to the Peak of Borneo. Scooter was in perfect condition, owner was very helpful and friendly. Very pleasant experience.

We had an extra 1.5 days at the end of our trip to Borneo and wanted to rent a scooter to see the area surrounding Kota Kinabalu. I was worried that the Yamaha 125cc we rented wouldn't have enough power, but it turned out to be perfect as the average speed on the interstate is only around 70 km\h. It was great to see the areas less travelled by tourists and the lesser frequented attractions like the Crocodile Farm, Ant House, and interior cities which are interesting but not typical destinations. Renting could not have been easier and the owner is extremely helpful with tips on what to see and provided GPS coordinates to a few locations not on Google Maps or Tripadvisor.

If you're in KK and know how to ride a scooter or motorcycle, do yourself a favor and visit Scooter Monkey! Hands down the best service on the island! I arrived in Sabah with the intention of renting a scooter and doing the entire Sabah loop, a 14-20 day trip... I fired up google to look up scooter places, and it was clear who I needed to visit. at first, I assumed the reviews were to good to be true. the sheer number of positive reviews they have compared to the competitors...but after meeting and working with Bonny the owner. It was crystal clear how and why they were leaps and bounds above the other scooter rental businesses on the island. Bonny listened to my trip plans, gave me honest recommendations on the best vehicle for the extended trip. Urged me test drive as many units as I wanted, to make sure I had the bike that best suited me. (every single one of his bikes is essentially new within the past year or two, beautifully maintained and meticulously cared for) Once my perfect bike was picked, he gave me saddle bags (massive life saver for extended trips.... These are a must!) rain ponchos, bungee cords, oil to top off the bike, and 2 helmets in case I had passengers along the way. Everything to ensure I had a safe and reliable trip was provided with the rental! He then went over trip planning with me, gave me highlights around the island, personal recommendations and insider local secrets that you wont find on tour sites. Not only do you get an awesome rental, but you get a personal guide who knows, and cares passionately about the island he calls home! If I had any questions along my journey it was so reassuring to know that I had a knowledgeable and well connected friend to reach out too on the island. Sabah/Borneo is really an incredible place, having the ability & freedom to explore it ground level like I did was an unforgettable experience. Id recommend the journey to anyone willing to go off the beaten path. weather you're taking a weekend trip or multi week adventure. Scooter Monkey is the only place you need consider! the level of customer service, communication, friendliness and willingness to help is purely unmatched by any other business i've worked with on the island, and most businesses in general. by the end of it, I really felt like I was given the close friends & family treatment. When revisiting Borneo I know where my first stop will be!

After diving with Diverse Borneo, I was keen to spend a couple days scooter touring. The DB guys recommended Scooter Monkey. I went over there with no plan and they got me stoked on a variety of ideas of what to do in Sabah. I ended up going out to Mt Kinabalu NP by scooter and then did a day tour of town. I also rented a tent from them to go up to Kudat. When I go again, I bet I will rent a scooter the entire time. Such a great way to get around, with so much freedom, and enables serendipity. PLUS, the owner is so helpful with anything you need! The bikes are great quality and no hidden costs. A must go to place in KK.

Rented a scooter from Scooter Monkey for a day trip which was simply awesome. The bike was near new & in great condition so you don’t have to worry at all.. Bonny the owner was the nicest guy I’ve ever rented a bike from (& I’ve rented dozens across Asia) & makes you feel really safe as if anything happens you just need to give him a call & his got your back. Which was great to know as a solo traveller. Was also really nice chatting to him after returning the scooter.. So if you’re looking for a scooter, or a car to rent, look no further.. My only regret is that I didn’t discover this place at the start of my holiday as it would have been awesome to rent one for a week.

Highly recommended - my wife and I were staying at a resort out-of-town and a scooter was the perfect (and most cost-effective) option to get in/out/around KK. The boss here - along with the other staff - is extremely helpful and a top class guy. Will definitely rent a scooter from here again next time we're in KK.
