All the reviews about PRIESTS are true, they bifurcated our familyโ€ฆ gave mantras and worship things and expected money in returnโ€ฆ we were glad to pay donation ourselves but not when someone FORCES youโ€ฆ. We spent 1500 rupees while they were demanding 500 rupees moreโ€ฆ. The temple was such a holy place but PRIESTS ASKING this much MONEY is not at all ETHICAL what they are doing in the name of god is not right.. the god is watching them also! We went there for peace of mind, not for getting feeling of being LOOTED! Its not about money lost its about the integrity! This is not Sanatan Dharma!

Just go and pray to God yourself. Don't interact with the priests. Be Careful as multiple priest are there and they will force you to pay you money. They will wisely separate the family members and ask ladies and gents to come separately. They force you to pay Rs 1100 separately from each ladies and gents group of same family.

Worst behavior of priests of this temple I have ever faced in my life. Priests in these temple are so annoying and so misbehaved that one of them tried to snatch money from my hands as i refused to donate more than 20 rs, saying that you should donate a big rupees note. Literally if you visit just ignore the priests at this temple, lest their conduct will be such to steal every single penny of yours.

Please be aware of the priests they will ask for small puja and then will ask lot of money from you forcefully. If want to visit with less money or tell them beforehand that you will not give money. Someone please take actions against them.

Small temple in the small streets of Puri but with great significance. Bedi is chained, and there us a story that Hanuman was chained to prevent sea from entering to Puri. Beautiful idol and very blissful. There is an entry ticket of Rs 5 which is very strange that we have to pay to visit a temple.

The temple was excellent and without any rush of people. Had a very good view of the deities. The only trouble was the behavior and attitude of the priests, who were trying to force us to donate more money.

Really, i should have read reviews before visiting temple.... Without paying 100 for Prasad you cannot enter main premise of lord Hanuman. Preist were divided and does their trickery very smartly. Wait near the entrance and priest 1 will tell you story of lord bedi Hanuman. You are bound to pay 100 for 1 small packet containing "ukhuda"(fried paddy sweetened with sugar), sindoor and dia. All 3 should not b more than โ‚น20-โ‚น30. But u pay โ‚น100. Anyway u came for darshan n u won't mind paying โ‚น100 as u want to see n pray lord bedi Hanuman. Now priest2 near the lord will start his trickery. You as a couple will part of puja. Children's were not allowed inside. I have not heard any mantra from this priest. Smartly he brings a "kada" and ask your spouse to leave outside. Stating that now only male will get puja. He binds this kada into ur hand and will ask for min โ‚น600 as donation "shradha se kuch b dan kijie". I hesitate to give. I paid him โ‚น100. He started asking min 600 as it is the cost of kada... Hello!!! I didn't ask u for kada... N y should I pay 600 for it. He argued n forces to pay. I was unhappy n ask him to keep kada n โ‚น100 as well.. Seeing my response he allowed me to leave... Coming out I saw another priest3 asking me to do a puja of kada at Ram temple... I sensed same trickery i have already faced. Hence denied. Priest 4 has already taken ladies n children near to Jagannath temple n was doing puja with a small Jagannath idol in my wife's hand. Pay minโ‚น100 here as priest 4 has done puja for you.. Don't get looted guys.

A lovely story of Bedi Hanuman temple. You can search in Google. Be aware of anything you touch in temple even if pujari gives, that will loot your pocket. Just visit the temple don't ask don't with anyone. Visit the temple get the darshan done. Get out as soon as possible or else get ready to empty your pocket by the priest ๐Ÿ˜‰. FYI - only 1% or 5% priest are Good ๐Ÿ˜Š. Beware of rest 95% you will feel looted.

One of the worst culture i hv ever seen in life in the name of god.if anybody ever want s to visit only carry 2 or 3 100 Rs note in purse.otherwise all money will be snatched.they cheated me and took 1500 . Then I fled without doing puja. Never visit any temple which issues gate pass and always visit where people are present in large number. This I havelearnt today .

A small sea side temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is situated west of Chakranarayan temple in Puri. The temple is known as Daria Mahavir Temple. In local language 'Daria' means 'Sea' and Mahavir is another name of Lord Hanuman. The temple is located on the left side of the Chakratirtha road leading from Subash Bose Chowk to Penthakata. From the architectural point of view the temple is not so important but from the religious point of view, it occupies an important position in the cultural history of Puri. The exact geographical location of the temple is LONGITUDE 85050โ€™67โ€E and LATITUDE 19048โ€™03โ€N. The temple is facing towards east. The outer walls of the temple housed images of different Deities. The image of Anjana, holding a baby in her lap, is carved on the western side wall. There is a female divinities over a decorated pedestal on the northern side wall. The image of Lord Ganesha is carved on the southern side wall. The presiding deity is a two armed Hanuman, holding a ladu (sweet) in left hand a gada (mace) in his right hand. Famous rituals like Pana sankranti, Hanuman Jayanti, Rama Navami etc are observed in this temple. The temple is also known as Bedi Hanuman Temple. The temple has an interesting story behind the name 'Bedi Hanuman'. It is believed that Daria Mahavir protects Sankha kshetra Puri against the fury of the sea. It is Daria Mahavir's duty to see that the sea does not cross its limits and enter the peripheral boundaries of Puri. But when the Jagannath Temple was built, Varuna, the God of the Sea, able to came to the Jagannath temple to pay his respects. In the meantime sea water entered the city, causing considerable damage to the temple. The devotees prayed to Lord Jagannath who asked Hanuman to explain how the sea entered the city in his presence. Lord Hanuman told that he was not present at that time and was left for Ayodhya without informing him. On hearing about Lord Hanuman's unscheduled visit to Ayodhya, Lord Jagannath got his hands and feet tied with rope (bedi) and asked him to be vigilant on the sea shore day and night. Since his hands and feet tied with rope (bedi), he is known as 'Bedi Hanuman' or 'Chained Hanuman'. There is a popular belief that since then, the sea has not entered into the city. ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ

Great temple to visit lord hanuman;Devote your faith in lord hanuman. But at the same time beware of pandits at this temple, specially. With all due respect,Pandits at this temple are so ill mannered;misbehaved;unconscionable and greedy;despite the fact that people of Odisha are so humble and well behaved with other people. They will have a eye upon your pennys and overtly asks to donate money. And if you donate less money then they will not let you see lord Hanuman from proximity. They will keep on insisting you to pay tons of money on some fake pretexts.

Read it before you visit the temple. The rating is not for the almighty. Who are we to rate Hanuman. But the rating is for the people who are managing the temple. Devotees come to the temple with lot of emotional understanding and pray. But those pandits who are not at all pandits have a different idea. They pull you into the inner sanctum of the god and forcefully pull money from you. They say something in the name of god and ask for money and emotionally disturb you. Are the authorities not aware of this or are they turning blind eye to it?

VISIT AT YOUR OWN RISK!! The government must take action!! The priests force people to pay. A minimum of 250-300 INR is taken from everyone, peeking into purses. The place is empty filled with fear and greed. The temple is good but not the people running it.

A temple of big mythological importance , this temple of Lord Hanuman is nearer to Panthaniwas, Puri, Odisha more nearer to hotel Kalinga, z hotel, located in the main road, nearer to blue flag beach, Niladri beach Puri. It is believed that Lord Hanuman, living God in earth, always protects Jagannath Temple Puri. So must visit the temple. Though temple is small in structure, it has so much importance for which one must visit and take the blessings of Living God.

Bedi Hanuman Temple is a popular pilgrimage site located in the holy city of Puri in the Indian state of Odisha. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, a Hindu deity who is widely revered for his strength, courage, and devotion to Lord Rama. The legend behind the Bedi Hanuman Temple dates back to the time when Lord Rama was exiled from Ayodhya for fourteen years. During his exile, he traveled to various places in India with his wife Sita and his loyal brother Lakshmana. When they arrived in the city of Puri, they were greeted by the sage Markandeya, who advised them to build a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman at the site where they had set up their camp. Following the sage's advice, Lord Rama and his companions built a small temple at the site, which was later expanded and renovated by the local rulers. Over the centuries, the Bedi Hanuman Temple became one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in the region, attracting devotees from all over India. According to local legends, the temple is also associated with Lord Jagannath, the presiding deity of the famous Jagannath Temple in Puri. It is believed that Lord Hanuman is the protector of Lord Jagannath and his temple, and that he watches over the city of Puri and its residents. Today, the Bedi Hanuman Temple is a major tourist attraction and a popular destination for devotees seeking the blessings of Lord Hanuman. The temple complex includes several shrines dedicated to other deities, as well as a sacred pond where devotees can take a holy dip. The temple is also known for its elaborate carvings and sculptures, which depict various episodes from the Ramayana and other Hindu scriptures. In summary, the Bedi Hanuman Temple in Puri is a sacred site that is steeped in legend and history. It is a testament to the enduring faith and devotion of the Indian people, and a reminder of the rich cultural heritage of the region.

We visited Puri atleast 15 times but this is the first time we visited this Bedi Hunuman Temple. When we a group of 4 (we 2 sister and our husbands) entered in the temple, 5 pandas came and for offering puja they give us something small round shaped , news paper wrapped prasad @ 20/- and told our husband to stay in front of the hanuman ji and advise us, both the sisters, to go to the next deity since only ladies are allowed to visit that deity. In front of the second deity one panda suddenly given a small thing in my hand and before realizing he closes my hand and tell me to surround the temple without talking to any one, after completing the pradakshin when I came there I heard the same panda is telling my sister just now your sister has agreed to pay 500/- (obviously I have not ) you should also pay the same and my sister is not agreeing to pay. When I heard this conversation I told the panda that I didn't tell you anything . Then the panda snatched the thing which he had given in my hand, I saw it is a statue of 1.5 inch height of hanuman ji, cost of Rs.25/- hardly. The main tricks of them is to separate everybody. At that time we were not aware about the condition of our husbands, same thing happened to them also , they were also asked not to talk with each other and a small statute of hanuman ji (1inch height) given to my Bros-in-law & asked to pay Rs.1000/- and a bangle of golden colour to my husband and forced for Rs. 500/- In the name of puja, they snatched from us total 700/-. This is the experience of ours (2nd week of Sept.'18).. Now visitors will decide about their visit. We met another group of tourist also in the same temple, they told last time they have also faced the same incident.

Good temple. Prasad sellers were almost forced to purchase the prsadam. This is not good. A rain water harvesting system should be constructed inside the temple. Water wells should be dug inside the temple. More desi and local trees should be planted.

Being a Hindu and devotee of God Hanuman,,it is too sad to say,but the priests in this temple are brokers or salesmen. They were after us like anything for money... Well, they have mini shop next to God idol. And worst part is they are having Paytm scanner in case you don't have cash. 5 to 7 priests present in this temple. Don't spent single penny even to buy prasad. Just go ,pray and come out in 2 mins or else ready to waste your money (minimum 1000).

Why ticket to see god? I know its very less it is just rs 5 but still why even 5 rs? If people give money in temple with their own will it is nice but when it is compulsory it is not wrong.
