We spent three days in Puri. The main purpose of visit is of course Jagannath Temple with that Puri beach is also main tourist atteaction in Puri. The beach is very long and there are so many restaurants, hotels and Shopping centres along with the beach. Also you will get so many food stalls, shopping stalls, across the roadside and beach side. You have choices to enjoy your time on beach, food options, shopping options.

The place is good..but the people there is not very friendly at all. Not only this beach area....I faced many difficulties as a tourist every where I go during this trip. People are less helpful if are not talking in native language, very rude ( don't know why). If planning to visit there...will suggest to avoid the interaction with the local ones.

Nice & Crowded place on weekend. Much bargaining required for purchasing. You can enjoy bathing in sea, camel riding, Sea waves enjoyment in Tubes. Lots of sea items available. Took Shankh in 150 RS. Which Vendor was selling in 750 rs.

Good market. They ought to care about beach cleanliness. I don't see any dustbin to throw used plastic bottles bags. Beach is full of people and plastic pieces. No body cares which is sad for me. I didn't see life gaurd station near by in case of any incident happen to swimmers. Please don't throw the garbage to beach.

Must carry an umbrella in the event of a sudden downpour. The tarpaulin wouldn't be sufficient to keep you dry. Sitting facilities aren't available much, you can avail the paid ones at the beach... or sit on the benches adjacent to the food stalls.

Puri is a good place to spend 2 to 3 days holiday. You can take train, bus from Kolkata. It takes you 8 to 9 hours to reach. You can visit Puri in the rainy season and in winter. But where to roam in summer time is a bit difficult. And you spent your evening by the sea.Thank you

I’m also a pure vegetarian I’m suffering alot for pure veg stalls and shops near this beach market but after all that struggle I found a single stall of paav bhaji and run to that stall eat alot of plates of paav bhaji then take taxi and go to my hotel for sleep. Because it’s rare for you to find a pure vegetarian restaurant and stall in puri city. You are lucky if you found that easily.
