I had a delicious breakfast here during my visit to the water front Cape Town. The staff is very friendly and diligent. The menu covers a quite a range of food and beverages to choose. They have bottomless option for certain beverages. Comfortable place and an attractive atmosphere to dine in with friends and family.

Had a lovely breakfast with the family. Staff friendly. Breakfast bagel was tasty. I asked for dry scrambled egg and the kitchen delivered. Fresh mango juice to end of the meal. Will definitely visit again.

My mom, niece and I came here for brunch. We ordered Mugg & Bean's well known giant muffins and it was simply delicious. Our waitress was super friendly and gave an amazing service. Will definitely come here again.

Ordered a Alabama chicken stack yesterday and it was tasteless and chewy. The bread felt like I was eating bubblegum and the mozzarella and bacon that was on there were burned. The only thing that was fine on that plate was the sweet potato fries. The kiddies chicken burger that I ordered for my daughter was also very dry and I couldn't even see the chicken that was on there. My first and last time eating at cape gate mugg and bean.

Had a Famous Blueberry Muffin and a bottomless Lemonade. The muffin was good, warm and fresh. Tasted great with the butter, cheddar and jam. Lemonade was also very good. Would appreciate more cheese however. My girlfriend had Mediterranean veg open sandwich with a chocolate milkshake. Very delicious she enjoyed it thoroughly. The sauce was very good, everything worked very well together. Strongly recommends, very filling meal. Milkshake had a slight taste of blueberry. "Odd but palatable". Waitress was nice but not as attentive, felt distracted and at times neglected us. Overall a pleasant experience.

This is in the Cape Gate. The parking lot here is spacious and convenient. I asked the location of the outlet to use the laptop, and the staff answered kindly. The best menu of Mug & Bean is African Benedict. I will go there again to enjoy it anytime.

Always a very nice place to meet up with friends for a catch up social with delicious drinks and meals to make the experience more enjoyable. They support the non use of plastic straws, but the paper straws do not last very long in a milkshake. So, I would advise if you have your own metal straw to take that along - otherwise ask for at least 2 straws. 😉

Rude staff, brushed us off when trying to redeem the free promotion for a coffee and slice of cake. Told that "you need to have a history on the app" and "no it's changed now." Pathetic service and treatment, will never come here or recommend this place. EDIT: I see they provide the usual canned response from the Social Media team, pathetic. I forgot to mention this wasn't the first time I've had disgusting treatment from them, dating back to 2014-15 looking for jobs I ordered a coffee and was using the WiFi there and still had coffee in my cup trying to find a JOB lo and behold, I was only there for about ~30mins or less when a group of people wanted to sit down at other open tables, and the waiter asked me to leave. Absolutely dehumanizing and disgusting, good to see 8 years later nothing has changed at all.

Being seated next to the kitchen area is too noisy... making conversation difficult. Food is good quality and portions are big. Service is too slow, however, waitress was very friendy and helpful. Will not recommend for a quick lunch, however, if time is not a issue then its all good.

I normally stop in for an early breakfast on the weekend while waiting for my son to complete his lessons. It's wonderfully quiet and I highly recommend the poached eggs with buttermilk chicken and blue cheese. Divine!

Had a very nice brunch . Enjoyed it very much . Good service. Waiter was very friendly and helpful. Food served was great. I love the fact that they were able to cater for someone with celiac disease. We had a good time in general. Thanks so much for the service. Only suggestion would be for the servers to make notes to avoid any confusion. But will definitely recommend this restaurant

Had an enjoyable breakfast on Mothers day. Our waitress was really great. When we required extra condiments or hot water it was provided quickly. When something was missing from an order alternatives were suggested and given (one dish didn't have cheese on and a muffin flavour was out of stock). Refreshing menu.

The food is amazingly fantastic and delicious, the chai latte was very good. Always a must have for breakfast option. The staff very attentive and polite.

arrived November 30 at 17.01. First I waited on the veranda for 10 minutes waiting for the waiter. There was not a single waiter on the veranda, everyone crowded inside the main room. I decided not to swear, as I was hungry and silently moved inside. After that, I waited another 5 minutes, when at least someone will take the order. Until I started to resent, no one paid attention to me, even though I am a big bearded man. Despite the terrible hunger, I just got up and left. I used to leave a tip of 100-150 zar each time, now I no longer want to come to this place. totally forgot. The hall was almost empty, just the waiters apparently found more important things to do.

The service given was excellent and our waitress was nice and friendly. There was one thing we didn't like though, a other customer sitting close by was talking so loudly and we were a bit irritated but besides that, we enjoyed it. The food was lovely too 😋

Needing to refuel between running errands, I was looking forward to lunching at one of my favorite restaurants. The staff seemed sleepy but the efficient manager took care of my order - thank you kindly! I feel that this branch could do with some much needed interior TLC as it is in a fantastic spot in Cape Gate Mall. The food quality and preparation can be improved too. Looking forward to seeing these changes when I pop by again

I ordered the low carb breakfast, but unfortunately the poached eggs were ice cold when I received my food. That was a big disappointment. The waiter only checked in with us at the end of the meal, so it couldn't be rectified early enough. By the time the manager came to me, we had to leave for another appointment so there wasn't time to make new eggs as we had to leave. He did discount the meal though, but the food was disappointing.

Mugg & Bean Cape Gate has the most delicious cheese cake and carrot cake.... So different to the other Mugg & Beans. I'm not a cake lover of them but Cape Gate wow excellent, well done, I will definitely be back. Thank you so much Craig for your excellent service.
