Pretty solid as far as viewpoints go. I navigated here by just following the path on Google maps, you have to go past a few dodgy-looking dogs and a goat but just keep faith with the map and it’s all good. There are loads of helpful signs too. 20 baht entrance fee which she takes off a drink if you buy one.

We stayed at Saii Phi Phi village and read about viewpoint 3 so decided to try and find it! This was trickier than we had imagined as a) none of the staff/locals seemed to be aware of it or how to get to it from the resort (they all tried to take us to Tonsai Bay via longtail boat and go to viewpoint 1 and 2 first which we didn't want to do) and b) there are no signposts for it. But we knew it was nearby as we'd read the other reviews on here and seen the pictures!! So we went on a little adventure!!! By using some logic and common sense (and also getting lucky by bumping into some other touristy looking individuals who were clearly on the same hunt as us!) we found it!!!!! And it was well worth the effort. We only went to this viewpoint, so can't compare to the other viewpoints 1 and 2, but I honestly didn't feel the need to walk any further once we had been to this one. It really is spectacular. The pictures really don't do it justice but I would encourage anyone to go. I cannot believe we have been to this Island a few times and not realised this was just within our reach from the resort we stay at. It does involve a 40 minute trek through mainly jungle territory which is steep, very uneven and home to many mosquitoes so ensure you are appropriately dressed and prepared but, as I said, well worth every bite and bead of sweat! At the viewpoint you have to pay 20 baht entry per person but you can stay as long as you like taking in the view etc. There are benches/seats and a small shop selling cold drinks and snacks very cheaply. So here are the directions from the Saii resort as best I can describe them.........leave the resort and walk right through the small village at the back and over the bridge. At the end of the bridge turn left and head towards Loh Lana Bay (this bay is where you can also get a private longtail boat trip very cheaply to Tonsai Bay which I would also highly recommend. You could then go to the other viewpoints also which are easier and quicker to get to from this start point). Rather than heading straight down onto the bay/beach though, keep following the path around to the left. You will see signs that detail viewpoints 1 and 2 and you'll think you're going the wrong way but keep going! After about 5-10 minutes you will see a sign on the right hand side of the edge of the path that points you into the jungle/forest path. Again this is signposted only to viewpoints 1 and 2. FOLLOW THIS PATH! It does lead to viewpoint 3. You need to follow this path through the jungle for approximately 35 minutes (depending on how quickly you walk! We are quick walkers and we didn't stop once.) On the way you will see official looking blue coloured signs that detail directions to viewpoint 1 and 2 and also Saii Village for your return journey but you will also notice less official (ie more makeshift!) red signs that do say viewpoint 3. These will spur you on knowing you are heading the right way!! You literally cannot go wrong. All signs lead directly to viewpoint 3 and it's impossible to miss once you come out of the jungle path and onto a clearer and more open pathway. You then head up to the right to the viewpoint and simply enjoy the view! I hope this helps more people to find this gorgeous spot and spread the word to others.

People! Stop chasing viewpoint 3 and dont use Google maps. Unfortunately it leads you through a freaking jungle, full of trash and insects. Just go to Tonsai town, whatever way possible (by boat or if you're on Long Beach, next to Paradise pearl, right at the end of the beach there's a sign and after a little climbing you get to a road. Just follow the signs and you'll get to Tonsai beach and from there straight to town). Once in town, look for Arboreal resort. Those are the stairs to viewpoint 1 and 2. You don't need anything else imho. Entry is 30thb and it's true there's a 10thb fee for using the toilet. Right at viewpoint 2 there's the Viewpoint cafe and Bob Bar. If you don't want to die of heat, maybe don't go between 11 and 16, as we idiots did 😅 This review is for viewpoint 1&2, same as most people here it seems since ALL photos are from there lol

A long hot climb to the top plus extra 20thb entry but it's well worth it for the view plus the drinks are cheaper up there.

We started our walk at the village, the road to the 3 viewpoints was easy to find, you must be in a good shape to end it to the bay. The viewpoints are absolutely worth the exercise, at every of the 3 points the scenery is tremendous, especially number 3 is top

great views worth going at sunset. about 40 min walk up to top which can be tough in heat. the path from saii resort is quite an off road path. dont recommend going back at night , better to walk down to tomsai after sunset and get a boat taxi back. 20 bhat enterence fee and theres food drink and toilets

Very beautiful viewpoint. It's definitely worth going up and taking a look. In my opinion, the view from the 2nd viewpoint is slightly better. I would recommend taking a bottle of water with you, especially on warm days. It could be exhausting.

do take the extra walk to view point 3, it's worth the extra money and effort. I am in no way in great shape and found it quite easy, I also went further and took the trail to lamenting bay and said phi phi village resort, also a great experience you just need some good shoes. the jungle walk donest need a guide just follow the same trail

Wonderful place to see the island from the top. It was my second time in Phi Phi and I couldn't leave not seeing this place from the top again. (you can never get bored seeing a great view like that!) The only point that drops down a bit is the access information... There is faster and easier access to stars straight to the top having a break in viewpoint 2, which is also astonishing, making the whole experience more enjoyable. Otherwise, you would have to prepare yourself for a long walk on a huge hill around the island to get to your final destination. In any situation, anybody wouldn't have a word to say after facing the amazing view on top of the mountain.

To reach Viewpoint 3 you have to climb viewpoints 1 and 2.. which is doable and not that intensive. maybe the stairs are hard for some and steep in places. The last leg is up the mountain thru the forrest and quite enjoyable. Reaching the top you get welcomed by a magnificent view of the whole island and beyond. A monkey lives here!

Steep climb with lots of stairs, but the view is definitely worth it! I went early, and unlike others have said, all the cafes were already open. There is a girl sitting just before viewpoint 1 and had to pay 50 Baht as an entrance fee. Also, unlike others have said, I didn’t have to pay at viewpoint 3.

Great views over Phi Phi! From viewpoint 2 to 3 its a bit of a trek through the jungle, I did it in flip flops but would have preffered trainers. No one was there at point 3 apart from a few monkeys in the tree that left me alone. Felt like you were in the top of the trees.

The elevated vantage point offers a picturesque panorama. The initial segment of the pathway is well-paved, gradually transitioning into a more robust composition of hardened clay and gravel. This location proves to be an excellent choice for an evening stroll, providing an optimal vantage point to witness the sunset.

The view is superb from here, you can see the whole island and the viewing platform can fit a bunch of people. The main disadvantage is the way up there. It is a steep climb, but the main issue is that it is littered all the way up, which takes a lot away from the beauty of the island. You have to pay 20 THB to enter but I was there really early in the morning so no one was there to pay it to.

View Point 3 has a broader view of Phi Phi And other islands around with and spectacle sun set. Pick the best timing for your visit to enjoy it.

Very beautiful place but take care because google maps show you wrong road through some hotel. There is NO way there. You must follow the local signs and climb by stairs, or there is a longer way round- by bike half can be done and after a walk through the jungle.

The view is stunning!! It’s better to go early in the morning or at the noon cause u have to climb many steps to get there and also it’s not so crowded.

Beautiful view and nice hike. Beware that the viewpoint is not always open. Follow the same path down.

I recommend a hike to get here - we used Wikiloc and had a very nice day hiking all around phi phi. As per the viewpoint - very well taken care of. You will pay 20baht (if I’m not mistaken) to get in, and you can buy smoothies and ice cream (I recommend the mango smoothie 😍). They have some hammocks you can rest in. The view of phi phi is great! Beware of the monkeys while you are there and do not feed them. You can fly drones here as well.

Beautiful view on top! You can see the entire island! 🏝️ Beware you are charged 50 baht each person to be able to start the hike even for viewpoint 1 and 2. Cause it’s private property apparently. Enjoy!

Possibly the best view point of the island. It takes longer to access but it’s much more quiet here and the view is higher and better. You can even see bamboo and mosquito islands from this panoramic view point.

It took us a while to go all the way up but i cant express how beautiful it was. It was worth it. The entry fee is 30 Thai Baht per person.

Perfect location for watching the sunset. Far enough for the view point one special in hot days but should try it.

Don’t trust Google map on the way here. Better ask locals and look on the signs. The view is quite good but you gotta be hurrying if you want to catch the sunset

There are beautiful views of the bay. It is better to go in the morning, when it is not too hot. The stairs are quite steep.

Stunning sunset views. Well worth the 15 minute hike up

Great view (if it is opened). Can be tricky to find the path to get there (go to the shed at the bottom of Viewpoint 2 and turn left). There is a viewing platform, but it’s usually locked up.

When you visit the island, there is only on way for you: Visit this point to see the sunset! Is is aaaaaamazing! Go there! And there are not much people. If you are lazy or/and fat, stay at home! You will sweat a lot.

  • 5/5 Mohamed G. 1 year ago on Google
Going here might take you a bit of time and sweat but totally worth it ! The entry fee is around 20baht at the time of this comment. You’ll have a breathtaking view on Koh Phi Phi Don. Ideally get here early in the morning and you’ll enjoy the view and take some nice pictures

WOW, what a WALK! We only wanted to go to view point 1, but ended up at view point 3! Signage wasn't fantastic for view point 1, we followed our map, but went in head first first the best view I suppose! Two young teens in tow, didn't complain, considering it was sweltering hot, manage to WALK the 1 hr up the hillside over many terrains! The view was pretty Amazing at the top though! 45 mins to get down, cooled off with a beer and kids dipped in the bay water!

😐 This is very small beach. Part of the beach is private and is only for guest only from near bungalow. Beach was quite crowded (around 12 pm). Hike on this beach is very step.
