So far it's been the highlight of our Thai holiday. Feeding, playing with and bathing the 3 rescued from tourist industry elephants was most probably the most calming experience in my life. While your half a day visit you'll help to feed, walk and bathe the elephants. You can choose either morning or afternoon visit. Personally I recommend morning visit as it's still not too hot. That is of course if you don't mind an early pick up. Time will depend onin which hotel you are. The van will pick you up from the hotel around 7am and drive you to the sanctuary. Here, first of all you'll be told about the elephants history, how they are being looked after in the sanctuary. You'll also be told about the safety while interacting with those beautiful giants. Later on you'll be feeding, walking and bathing them. You'll get plenty time for interaction as well as taking some amazing photos. Elephants look happy, well looked after and healthy. I'd definitely recommend that breathtaking experience and truly great cause.

This is the real deal. People here give three overworked / old elephants a nice place to retire. Every other place would just expose the elephants to more people to increase the profits. Not the Krabi elephant sanctuary. Limited number of visitors (maximum 20 at a time). Great English guide. Gentle caretakers. Amazing and super friendly animals. Great interaction. You are actually helping - really HELPING - the sanctuary to prepare food and feed / clean the elephants. It was an absolutely amazing day. And I am absolutely convinced that the money is very well spent here.

Such an amazing place! Exactly what a sanctuary should be like! No chains or anything, they just walked around freely! Joe was full of energy and information! Loved every second of it! Even though Joe thought I was in a bad mood when I got there 🤣

An amazing experience. The 3 female elephants are docile and super relaxed, you get the opportunity to learn about them, feed them, prepare their protein food, walk with them, get muddy aaaand finally take a bath with them and wash them! You can tell they are well looked after and that everyone here loves these animals and does not exploit their existence. Our group was only 6 people so everyone has plenty of time with each animal, but they don't have sessions with more than 20 people which is very sensible. The facilities are also quite recent so you get clean toilets, showers, lockers to put your valuables, and they also serve you some fresh fruit and beverages. Staff is very friendly and helpful and ready to answer any questions. Can't recommend enough. Thank you for everything!

Such a fabulous day at an ethical Elephant sanctuary. Fed the elephants, then had a mud bath with them. Great to see the elephants personalities. Also wonderful to hear the history of each elephant and be reassured that their remaining life will be of leisure and not of the hard work they used to endure. Lunch provided in half day package was also amazing. Enjoyed it so much, we visited 3 days.

Wow what a lovely place. We met 8 elephants and they all looked happy and not chained up. We fed them, then gave them a mud scrub and then washed them. The people running the sanctuary really looked like they cared for the animals.

We wanted to go to a place that was ethical, no riding & which actually cared for their elephants, this place was amazing. The elephants were not tied/chained up & no leads/spikes etc were used when the trainers walked them, just simple commands. Yes they were trained to do certain things like stand still & allow us to interact, stroke & feed them but if they chose to wander off, this was ok too. We started off with a talk about the elephants from the owner who had a great sense of humor & fed them bananas, before taking a short walk where we stopped & got to stroke them & have our pictures taken with them. They were free to eat the palm leaves around them & a no point were chastised for this. Next we wandered down to the mud hole to give them a mud bath (they seemed to really enjoy this), then we walked down to the river to wash it off. One of the elephants decided that they didn't wan to get out of the river afterwards, despite several attempts by it's trainer so he was allowed to stay & get an extra long scrub. There was ver basic changing rooms & open air showers for us to wash/change. We were given fruit & water afterwards (not much but it was great to sit & watch the stubborn elephant enjoying his bath while we relaxed. (Some of the elephants also came up to our platform so search out extra fruit!) Next was making the medicine (depending on which package you chose), again the elephants stood next to us & cheekily grabbed leaves from us before we could put it in the giant pestle & pulp it along with a few other natural ingredients used to keep their digestive system healthy, they seemed to really enjoy their extra treat! We saw the elephants being led off across the road to another area after our visit & were told this was where they were able to roam freely in a safer environment. It was clear these elephants were well cared for & very loved. We had a fantastic time & the owner was so friendly & welcoming.

Very friendly and informative host. Family loved feeding the three elephants, walking with them to the mud baths and jumping into the pond with them to bathe the mud off. The setting is beautiful as well. Certainly in my family’s top experiences that they will never forget. Thanks!

(Translated by Google) Beautiful area. The elephants look well treated there ... but they are captive elephants (probably also unable to fend for themselves because of their past). We found the instructor very cold, directive and not very smiling.

So cool to see these elephants and interact with them. They are living their best life :) You feed them, walk with them, and bathe them. Love that this place rescued them from poor conditions at an elephant riding place and are now taking good care of them.

A peaceful place for elephants. If you want to help the animal cause and fight against elephant abuse in Thailand, this is the best place to. Here elephants are treated with care and respect. I highly recommend this place which will transport you to the world of elephants. I went there with my friends and we loved it. We had prepared their food to feed them afterwards and we also went to clean them. A real escapade for a moment. Thanks to the team and the elephants for this unforgettable moment.

Highly recommend! This was an incredible experience with my family. We spent the entire day learning about these elephants, feeding, bathing and walking with them. They've all been rescued from elephant trekking and are loved and taken care of. It was well worth the money and our ride to and from was included in the price. The staff were all super friendly and educated!

(Translated by Google) An experience to do absolutely. It is true that it is a small budget especially if you are with your family, but it is worth it. The kids loved spending time with these beautiful creatures. The park is beautiful and it is very large, the elephants are well maintained. (Original) Une expérience a faire absolument. Lovely elephants You can definitely tell these were elephants rescued from cruelty of elephant tracking . All the elephants were lovely and keen to hang out but were also allowed to go about their business without being pushed to interact with humans . I just wish our guide had a little bit more information to give about these lovely animals 🐘other than that it was really great .

A must do in Krabi where you are able to bath and play with the elephants. The guide and trainers are knowledgeable and you could ask as many questions you have.

  • 5/5 Megan M. 5 years ago on Google
I absolutely loved my experience here! Three beautiful female elephants that were rescued from trekking reside here and are cared for. It felt very ethical. You get to feed, walk with, and bathe the elephants. I loved that it all seemed to be on the elephant’s time. If they wanted to wander around longer, they could. If they wanted to be done bathing, they were. I would never do elephant trekking after learning of how overworked and poorly treated elephants can be.

(Translated by Google) Very nice half day, spent doing the work of caretakers: we feed the elephants, accompany them to go in the mud then finally we bathe with them and we wash them Two teens with us, who loved it! Despite everything, I wondered if the elephants were happy in this "sanctuary" because they have to do the same route twice a day .... They are therefore not free, but given that they were captive before arriving at the sanctuary and trained for shows or rides on the backs of elephants, they still won.

I highly recommend a trip here sooooo much! A place where abused elephants come and are highly cared for.. The elephants do what what they want, when they want. No riding - just ridiculous amounts of love and care. The owners compassion is astounding. They need all the support and monies that they can bc get, as to save the elephants from abuse costs this place a lot of money. If you go riding elephants in Thailand, I’m afraid you need putting down with a dart yourself.

(Translated by Google) A magical meeting with the elephants, we came in a group by mini bus, the staff presents each elephant to you and explains their story, photo and hug with the elephants, then we walk next to them, accompanying them to the river, we cover them with mud then we will have a giant water fight in the river, a snack (fresh fruit and cold drink) will be offered to you after the shower, a photographer will take lots of pictures for free and you will collect them the next day on Facebook. We took the 1:30 option À which is more than enough.

Thank you so much for this experience, it was a great honour for me and my fiancé to be able to share some of our love and care with the lovely Elephants living at the Krabi Sanctuary! Elephants deserve no riding, no punishments but love and freedom as they are perfect creatures of nature- there is a reason why these animals considered holy in many cultures. Please support all Sanctuaries in Thailand when you have the chance, never exploit animals. Thank you Krabi Elephant Sanctuary! You'll be in my heart forever! ❤

👍👍 I didn't walk ashore on the cave but did kayak all the way into the 'hong'. Rental of the kayak is 400baht without time limit and definitely worth the money. Try to go there as early as possible to enjoy the quietness and calls of the bird/insects.
