Highly recommended!!!!! Located near to the walking street connected between Railey East to Railey West. Facing the sea but not much view as it isn't a beach. A few minutes walk to Phra Nang beach and the hike to view point and lagoon. Nearby with lots of restaurants, massage centers and bars. The room was wide and spacious. Facing the swimming pool with a huge balcony and a big day bed. They do provide great amenities like thermo mugs as well as a beach bag and beach towels. A safe box and toiletries are included. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a water dispenser on the second floor. There was a live band at night at the restaurant. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. One down side is you have to be careful of the monkeys especially during 5pm - 7pm. Keep away your stuff from the balcony and close your balcony door. Otherwise, this is a great hotel with a reasonable rate.

We had a great experience here. If you book at the desk here in person you will get a better rate as well just not paying the booking website fees. We booked 2 rooms for our group of 3 and enjoyed our stay here as the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was nicely done! The breakfast was great too! The amenities and bedding was comfortable as well!

Friendly staff, attentive owner. Loved having (fresh every day) beach towels and picnic bag to use during our stay. Very good value. If you have any issues, they resolve them quickly and are very friendly. Amazing pools. Look out for the monkeys ;)

The price is high for solo travelers and not necessarily worth it - although the hotel is very beautiful. The room is relatively clean (not so much when you look under the bed or the sheets and even the table). I'm not sure they clean it through and definitely not sanitize it. The water didn't run smoothly when I visited and sometimes it was very cold. Breakfast was OK. I was worried about the milk being out in the hot like this. The biggest issue for me, though, was the internet connection that wasn't strong inside the room, and I had to struggle with it when I needed it most. Overall, the area is nice and probably all the hotels are expensive and give similar experience. Solo travelers beware - you should consider someplace else. It is family friendly and group friendly and the stuff is very nice and helpful.

Very nice hotel. We had a room with a swim-up patio which was nice. Breakfast included which had enough option to keep everybody happy. A little upscale feel to the hotel compared to the run of the mill cottages and guesthouses. Very good value.

Nice hotel in a great location. I was really glad to stay in Railay to have incredible beaches a few minutes walk away. The staff were friendly, the monkeys were fun without being annoying (for me anyway), and the room was a good size. Nice to have free beach towels provided. A good place to stay, but I'm giving 4 stars as the air conditioning was OK but it was still quite warm at night, because the WiFi was quite poor in the room, and because the cleaners didn't refill the shampoo etc once during our stay.

This review is about the restaurant since i didn't stay here. Their food was terrible, drinks were watered down, and the serving staff was completely aloof (maybe understaffed). The only good part was the musician; fantastic talent. Come early evening to listen to him and have bottled beer since the staff can't mess that drink up.

Beautiful hotel in Railay beach! Right in front of the beach, outstanding views of the mountains and full of monkeys jumping around. Keep your balcony and room door closed to avoid monkey messiness and you’ll be fine! The buffet breakfast included is quite generous and varied, and they also have good food and drinks at all times in the restaurant.

STAY AWAY! The hotel is absolutely filthy and there are cockroaches everywhere...staff is not helpful at all or even friendly. Food is expensive too. There are plenty of nice places in the area and good food...

Quality room, great breakfast, friendly staff. Very attractive design for the resort. Great value in low/covid season. Only minor quibble is the led on the emergency light(?) on the ceiling is quite bright at night, there should be a way to cover that. The big balcony would be *perfect* if they could install fans for cool air and to keep the mosquitos away.

Even if it is located on the east coast of Railay, it is just 10 minutes walking from both beaches (Phra Nang and Railay West). Big and spacious rooms with toilet separated from the shower. The balcony with views to the pool has a sofa and it is quite big and relaxing for reading. The buffett breakfast is compound of vegetables for salad, yogurt, two types of fruit, toasts (butter and jam), fried eggs, sandwiches, sausages, a couple of thai dishes, coffe, milk, juices and cereals. The swimming pool is huge and it is kept clean. They have a free transfer boat from the floating pier to Ao Nam Mao (coming and going) that you can book in advance. The staff is really kind and they speak good english.

Great location and rooms. Good breakfast but the restaurant staff seem quite stressed out. Don't leave anything on your balcony because the monkey gang will visit between 3-6pm smeven towels and clothing they will throw it into the pool

Recommended!! More than expectation. Great location , Great breakfast, Great room Very close to the east Railay pier (from Ao Nam Mao), Night Market, very convenience. The room is very big, and very nice. Swimming pool is big. Value for money. I will be back here again!

Very clean lovely hotel on the east side of Railay Beach. It’s on the pathway to phra nang beach and only about a 5 minute walk to Railay west. The monkeys did frequent the hotel but didn’t cause any issues with us. The staff was nice enough to upgrade our room to pool front and it was amazing. The balcony with the couch was great for hanging out during storms.

Nice and renovated hotel, a little too small, poor service, of the cleaning staff, and especially at the reception desk the staff does not help or give information. And when giving the information is incorrect. The food in the dining room, very basic !! And you can not ask for anything !!

Beautiful rooms. We loved our swimout room and enjoyed relaxing in the pool. The room was huge and very comfortable. The waterfall shower is amazing. Location was 5 mins walk from West Railay beach and close to lots of restaurants on the east side. The breakfast included is delicious - lots of options for everyone. They have live music in the restaurant at night, we didn’t eat there but enjoyed a drink. We bought a few drinks for the pool from the mini mart next door - 70 baht for a beer and kept cold in the mini fridge in the room! Be careful of the moneys - they show up in the afternoon looking for food. They were not aggressive but also weren’t scared of humans. We went into the pool while they did their lap and made sure we didn’t leave anything out and kept door closed. We also noticed they don’t stick around your room if you leave the blinds shut.

Bed is excellent and room size is big, they are very dark and we saw one cockroach upon arrival but nothing after that. A/C leaked on one occasion, breakfast is good, but you need to tell staff to replenish items later on in the breakfast service. They do not offer laundry service as advertised! Room had a smart TV which was good, also live music each night was nice, with good seating area to watch.

The rooms are ok, nice. We booked with the pool view and it was worth it. However, they advertise they have WiFi, but it does not work in the rooms. You can connect by the restaurant and if your room is close to the restaurant you will have WiFi. For me, I need to work during the stay and not having WiFi is a terrible experience 😣

Nice and clean resort with a great pool in a beautiful area. Tons of natural beauty in the area and interesting spots a short walk away. They played live music and had a great deal on drinks during happy hour.

Really nice hotel. Staff are very friendly. A very informative receptionist as well on arrival. Rooms are very spacious. Showers are excellent with really good water pressure. Water dispensers are available in the hotel as well so it saved us from buying bottled water each day. Air conditioning worked really well in the rooms. Large outside balcony with bed and drying rack. Live entertainment each evening as well. Breakfast was ok as well. Only downside was monkeys would sometimes drag rubbish into the pool which did put us off using the pool at times. Location is also very good. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights we had the upstairs and downstairs villa with pool. Great location on the quiet side. Chilled music during the day and night. Monkeys travel through every now and again. Private Pool is great for chilling and relaxing if you have had enough of the beach and the sun. Great atmosphere. Loved it.

The Avatar at Railey was a perfect hotel . The rooms were always clean and light . Our room walked straight into the pool which was nice and on a couple of occasions monkey's visited the pool and entertained the guest . It is near all amenities and close to the boats so not far to carry your bags . At night time it is lit up beautifully . Staff are all really nice . The breakfast was very average though . I highly recommend Avatar at Railey .

Hotel is nice with big rooms and all clean. Cannot judge about the restaurant. 1 star lost because of the pool which is quite dirty and many times occupied by the monkeys swimming and chilling.

Perfect! Lovely rooms, free breakfast and water + boat rides per schedule. Would definitely stay here again :-)

Unfortunatley I didn’t follow my intuition and leave. The signs of not a not so good rest were there: The kids spotted a big rat in the restaurant, too many menu options from pasta to Thai, pizza burgers etc (they serve ”everything” so probably not fresh veggies etc, quite empty and not attentitive staff - I took s plain veggie hot dish but still ended up getting food poisoned. Go for drinks only, great live music.

Very dirty rooms and lobby/resting areas. Bathrooms filthy, room had black mould, and overall the town and beach is filthy- tourism has wrecked the area and there’s no infrastructure - sewage sprayed on roads etc, trash everywhere. I would not recommend staying in this hotel or anywhere on Railay Beach. Very poor breakfast selection, especially compared to other places here, poor food hygiene as well. Skip altogether.

One star less because there was a cockroach infestation in the room I was given (counted about 5 of them walking around in the room and bathroom, though there are probably more of them around). Requested for a change of room, and all was well and good - the second room was very clean, huge, and very comfortable. Breakfast was great. The walls are not soundproof. Wifi strength depends on the location of the room.

Pretty room, great food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Very clean and great water pressure for shower. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Extremely friendly receptionist as well. Great stay.

I loved my stay at Avatar Hotel. Railay Beach was amazing. The gardens of the hotel are spectacular, the pool and room was also very cool! 🧗‍♂️ ⛰ 🏝!
