Hands down one of the best massaman Curry beef I've had in Thailand, my partner had the vegetable curry which was also exceptional. I read the reviews before I decided to come and was nearly put off by negative responses. Dont be put off as you will MISS OUT.

We returned to this place after 1.5 years as it was close to our hotel and in the rain we wanted something good and nearby. The food was good and we managed to find some gluten free option for our friend. Papaya salad asked with no spicy and it was not spicy. That is not always the case. The massaman curry chicken was good too! 2 starters 3 mains 2 desserts (mango and sticky rice) with juices cost 1000 baht.

We've tried the massaman curry in many different restaurants in town, and come to the conclusion that THE MASSAMAN is the best. I especially like the vegetarian massaman with tofu. We go here a few times a month - always coming back.

Disappointing. As others have mentioned, some of the curries are very watery - our green curry was a soup with no flavour other than salt. The Massaman was also very disappointing - bland with very little sauce. However, the egg fried rice was nice and the service was good.

This restaurant was all the rage at our hotel apparently. We did come here 2 nights in a row actually as the snapper was amazing! Fresh, and very tasty sauces. They also prepared the fish so that it already came in pieces and you didn't have to debone it yourself which was a very nice touch. And the owner seemed nice!

Had lunch here and ordered the Thai omelette (khai Jiao), deep fried fish, pineapple fried rice and raw prawns. I wouldn't say the food is spectacular but no real complaints.

Much prefer the food and service at nearby Ao Nang boat noodles shop. Wont be back to Massaman and definitely would not recommend.
