Viking Cave is the home to thousands of indigenous white-nest swiftlet bird. This is closed for tourism now and we can only view it from afar. Excellent view of the cave from the boat though we couldn't go inside to view its beauty. Locals go here to harvest these nests as the saliva of these birds are an excellent source of protein. This place is also a scuba diving haven which can be booked through local tour agencies. It has an amazing coral reefs to snorkel too.

Was not able to enter these caves as it was closed for tourists. But we did see from a distant. There are thousands of bird nests inside and locals do go their to haverst them (some form of delicacy!).

Viking Cave is one of natural sites on Koh Phi Phi Leh. Located at the bottom of a tall cliff on the northeastern side of the island, it takes 30 minutes to get there by long-tail boat from Tonsai Bay ( main pier of Phi Phi Island). Viking Cave owes its name to the paintings found on the walls of the cave – they represent various types of boats, including what resembles a Scandinavian Drakkar (Viking ship). These paintings were made by sailors taking shelter in the cave during a storm. Now it’s closed to tourists 🙁 Visited December 2022

If you like caves you may love this place. Take time to enjoy it other wise you will see it as just a place from boat. It will be better if you can go inside.

Nice little bay to snorkel and have a casual swim. Lots of boats will be harboring here, lots of people snorkeling, water is cool, and the corals are mesmerising. The rock formation is nice to look at. Just pray that it drizzles a bit when you are there, trust that makes the experience so much better. Overall ❤️
