Visited the 105 yr old boat on this gorgeous trip with my wifey on her birthday dated 17/12/2019,which was a surprise for her.was very apprehensive of this tour since both of us are non- swimmers and my partner has a water phobia too.but after reading the reviews of Micheal & his team ,good sense prevailed and both of us were in the boat. Right from the meeting point to coming back,these guys take a lot of care on all small things.they create a awesome ambience in the boat since they don't allow more than 30 guest.so you have the feeling like you are traveling with friends(meeting people from all over the world)at the end of the trip. Imagine people with no experience doing any water activities,snorkeling in deep seas for more than a hour on 2 different locations on the same day and jumping from the boat mast in to the sea....Micheal & Carlotta only u'll can convince & manage it so well. Suhag(if I am pronouncing it correctly) was a darling and also all the other crews. Micheal & Carlotta ,I & Usha love you both and if we are coming to Krabi again,it will be just because of you....love u guys. Micheal u r are our hero.....had told u this personally......heehee. Best cruise experience ever!! They have everything prepared for you! great food nice drinks super nice staffs. So many activities and so much fun! Kayaking, snorkeling, Sup(stand up paddle board) and even jumping off from the top of the boat!

Amazing trip to take while in Railey Beach or Ao Nang, you will do snorkeling, paddle boarding, jumping from the boat etc ... The staff are very nice and helpful with whatever you need , drinks are cheap, could not ask for more, it was an amazing trip ! This is a must try in Railey !

Such mighty craic. The staff were very friendly and all round good fun. They were looking out for everybody's safety while making sure everyone enjoyed themselves. We seen a few different islands, and got to snorkel, canoe and paddle board at them. A good mixture of ages and nationalities getting along together. The sea state wasn't the best at the time of year but using their excellent knowledge of the area Michael took us to more suitable locations. Tasty beer, cocktails and food. A brilliant day out and would do it again if given the opportunity.

I always love my trips with KSC! The Thai and Farang staff are fun, energetic, but not obtrusive at the same time. Having fun with your friends or meeting new ones on the boat is easy if that's what you're looking for -- or just do your own thing. The boat is the perfect size and looks beautiful, too. I would finally add that I always felt safe with them, we even watched two of the KCS staff "rescue" people _from another tour boat_ because they were not paying attention as well as KCS was. 10/10.

Really enjoyed the mix of activities in the program. The weather helped, but more so by the cheerfulness of the crew. Particularly pleased with the way safety was managed without diminishing fun. Highly recommended.

Sunset cruise is a very good way to spend time in Krabi. They will pick up you up from Krabi and take you through ao nang pier1 to the sea. Transportation cost is included in the ticket. We will reach around 2.30 to the pier and around 3 at the cruise. Their hospitality is very nice, they will offer you a welcome drink, all the drinks are free on the cruise except alcohot. Also variety of seasonal fruits will be given to all the tourists on the cruise. We will get to do snorkeling,paddling and kayaking in the sea.They have a team of trained swimmers and you'll immediatrly get comfortable doing all the water activities even if you don't know swimming. Lastly they will give a nice thai dinner and end up with night snorkeling :) :) :)

My husband and I so thoroughly enjoyed the cruise on the very pretty boat in 2017 June. It was a beautiful day. The cruise was not rushed, we had ample time at each stops. Crew staff were friendly and courteous. My husband and I are biologists and we were backpacking for ~90 days in SE Asia mostly going to forests looking for frogs, lizards and snakes and photographing them and living ultra cheap. The cruise price was above our forest-backpacking budget but one of the owners was so kind to give us heavy discounts (because my best friend at Krabi was v. good friends with one of the owners) so we could go on the cruise! How incredible and generous! We really appreciate the kindness. So many highlights for me: snorkelling to see bioluminescence at night time was so cool, jumping from the top deck was so scary but I did twice! (with life vest because I can barely swim), watching friends do amazing stunts like forward and backward flips from the upper deck OMG, headstands on paddle board....endless entertainment. The cruise staff are well trained swimmers and you feel you’re personally taken care of especially if you’re not a very water-person. One of the owners had one of his best mates on the cruise who were both excellent swimmers (and both professional rock climbers!!!! btw you should also totally do rock climbing in Krabi). Music was good, food was good. If you can afford it, we would highly recommend doing the cruise on Krabi Sunset Cruises!

The COMPLETE info of this cruise 4 of us went on this cruise in Jan 2019 and I decided to write a review because so many reviews do not provide information that would benefit all. The Pros: Good music (not hard), excellent/helpful crew, very good snorkel equip w/ fins (location of vest makes it difficult finding your size), plenty of cold drinking water and includes hot chocolate/coffee, coke/sprite/soft drinks. Lots of fruit snacks, all day! Once at the snorkel areas, many variety of fish. The Cons: Boat is too small for 40 customers plus 6/7 crew members (often bumping into each other). The amount of seating is for only half the customers, others have to sit on the floor cushions (keep in mind this is 6 hr tour). WARNING- do not select the floor cushions in the center of the boat--it gets very wet and high traffic area. The buffet dinner is actually a lunch with 5 items (I live in Thailand so I know the difference from Thai lunch and dinner) and you balance the food on your lap (which is tricky if sitting on the floor). At the 2 snorkeling stops, they anchor the boat about 75 yards from snorkel area (thank god for fins) so be ready to swim 300 yards (not including the swimming at the snorkel area). Caution when accessing the Top Deck (not shaded) as you must use a pirates rope ladder loosely strapped to the side of the boat. The last stop for bio-plankton swim, our group passed on this -- waste of time. You must move your arms, hands & legs very fast, as long as possible--maybe 5 minutes, to create a small amount of green glow, all awhile the bright lights from Pranang Beach diminish the opportunity to see more. Getting off and on the boat with 40+ people and 1 ladder you may wait some time. Tips: The pick-up area is across the street from 7-11 so you may select alcohol drinks (unless they change the rules) and snacks. I bought Barricade Coolers and they provide free ice in cups. I also bought several small cans of beer, 1/3 the price of on the boat. For mixed drinks, buy a pint of whatever at 7-11, they provide the mixer and ice. Their cocktails are Thai well drinks for a high price. Prepare your dress and shoes to get wet (up to the waist for some) when transferring to and from on the longtail boats. When the sun goes down your wife may want something to cover with as it could get cold. Overall: My opinion, this cruise is for ages 16 - 45, healthy/in good shape, not concerned about the price of alcohol, lunch vs dinner, the limited food options, and have deep pockets $$$. After the 2 snorkels and lunch we were ready to go back to the beach, skip the bio-swim.

Highly recommend this cruise! I booked it after meeting Michael in town and it was just an awesome day! The food is fabulous and there's so much of it! Plenty of chances to snorkel and paddle board or even just swim :) Scored myself a cocktail for my backflip too haha the crew and everyone was lovely, it was a fun day out! The plankons at night was a highlight, so magical as the light up going when you move around so be sure to swim with them!

We had a full day on the boat. Was an amazing day started out by meeting the crew at Railay pier for a short boat ride to our boat for the day. We was welcomed aboard by Micheal and his crew. After a few minutes we was asked if we wanted a drink and offered to go up and sit on the roof of the boat for the cruise to the islands. The scenery was breathtaking, we was driven around the coastline and taken to some amazing places, the drinks were flowing and we had an awesome day, which included me diving off the roof of the boat, snorkeling and trying some oysters. The snorkeling was my first time, the staff were very helpful and a lady by the name of Carlotta she helped me and gave me advise and even came to my rescue when I was getting tired from it all. All in all was a great day topped off with an amazing sunset and cruise back at the end of the day. All the staff were amazing and we even ended the day having a beer with Michael in a bar, they were so friendly, would I recommend.... You bet to anyone visiting this cruise is a must. A++++++++ Legends.

i have been lucky enough to live in railay bay , an awesome place . over the years i’ve done everything , and there is lots for backpackers , families , climbers . pla luang is without question one of the best things available to do in railay . the staff are incredibly welcoming , the boat is beautiful and has all you want ( SUP is fun ! food is amazing . it’s pretty much a must do ! and super reasonably priced . i give it a 10 out of 10

We visit Railay every year and have been on both the breakfast and sunset cruises with this company. Loved them both! The crew are always friendly, attentive and welcoming to everyone on board. They are clearly focussed on ensuring every single person is safe and enjoying themselves. The music is awesome and sets a great vibe. The food is amazing and plentiful, and the drinks are cold and refreshing. Breakfast on the boat feels particularly luxurious... Especially if you've been travelling for a while! The staff choose the snorkel spots depending on the conditions on the day, so I've been lucky enough to snorkel at lots of different places. I had my first snorkel with bioluminescence and first attempt at stand up paddleboarding on the cruise. There were a few people on our boat who wanted to snorkel but weren't confident swimming in the sea, so the staff happily took them out with life vests on so they didn't miss out. The looks on their faces when they returned was priceless. I'd highly recommend these guys to anyone travelling to the area who wants a fun day out.

Amazing boat, crew, and views! They had everything you need to enjoy your time out at sea with your friends. Snorkeling gear, paddle boards, kayaks, snacks, drinks, and music. I’ve done many boat/island tours before but none on a pirate ship like this one. They have a flat roof on top that you can jump off of and enjoy the scenery and breeze while traveling from island to island. Going on this boat has become a new favorite thing to do for my friend group, always booking it for special occasions and any time we just want to get away and enjoy the sea.

Excellent trip!! There are loads of boat trips to the islands but if you do one then do this one! We would totally recommend it. A real mixture of people and ages, from a family with young kids, 20/30’s to oldies like us! Amazing boat with lots of space, you are not crammed in like sardines! Michael and his team are super friendly and make everyone feel welcome, lots of snacks, soft drinks, fruit and tasty, sunset dinner included. Beers and cocktails are available to buy. The scenery is truly stunning, some great snorkelling spots and the bioluminescent plankton was totally awesome. A real treat at the end of the cruise, LOVED it! Thank you Michael and crew!

Hands down, the BEST boating trip in Krabi. Forget the long tail trips and get on this amazing Bermese Junk Pirate ship. Captain Mike is a joy to be onboard with and the crew is spectacular. We got to snorkel around the islands, hangout and sunbake on the boat top, kayak and paddle board, rock climb. We ate really good food and just had an overall amazing time. There’s drinks on board and plenty of room to just hangout with fun people. Everyone on the boat was so cool and fun too. Not to mention the safety on board is top tier. Free drink if you backflip from the roof 😂 I will definitely be telling everyone I know to book this tour. You will not regret it.

One of our favourite things we did in our entire trip through Thailand. The staff was amazing. They made sure they got to know each individual on board from where they were from to their interests/hobbies. They made you feel like you had all been friends for years. The dinner included was absolutely delicious, especially the pumpkin, we had to go back for seconds. We snorkelled in a couple of spots at our own leisure and there were tons of fish to spot, and then we had the bioluminescence snorkel which was super cool! We highly recommend this activity whether you’re single, a big family, a couple, whatever! It’s fit for everyone. We loved Michael and his team and we are excited to visit them again next time we come to Thailand!

We had an amazing time during the 5 Island Sunset Tour. Michael was an amazing host and he along with Panchi ensured all of the guests on board felt welcome. The whole experience from start to finish was great. The pickup location was easy to find and the whole trip was well coordinated. Each stop was well timed and we had the best time snorkeling. The buffet dinner hit the spot and we enjoyed dinner with a few great folks we met. Michael followed up a few days later with a dropbox link with photos taken with this drone. This was a great touch. Book the tour...you won't regret it!

We booked this tour based on the fantastic reviews and we were not disappointed. Michael the owner was so friendly and took the time to learn our names and chat to us throughout the tour. We snorkelled in beautiful waters, saw many fish and enjoyed the complimentary cocacola on board (could also get lots of other drinks). Dinner was delicious and the boat was super cool. Could jump off the top of the boat which was lots of fun. And go paddle boarding in different places. Boat was big, spacious and comfortable. Seeing the bioluminescent plankton was super cool too. Overall great time was had and we would 100% recommend this tour.

Do you like being herded like cattle? No, me neither. Which is why this is the only cruise I’ll do in Krabi. So chilled, such a beautiful vessel, amazing staff and delicious food. I come every year and have tried the rest - this is the best! Do it!!!

The Krabi Sunset cruse was incredible from beginning to end. Michael and his crew went above and beyond to ensure their guests felt welcomed. I loved that they spent the time to get to know each guest and encouraged everyone to snorkel and experience it even if just once, so as not to miss an opportunity of a lifetime - Why wouldn't you?? Soonam, one of the awesome crew members took me out incredibly far into the ocean away from the boat at our second snorkel stop - way far beyond where we were supposed to go. Was I terrified for the most part? Absolutely. Was it worth the incredible experience? Without a doubt. Above and beyond what she needed to do. Just. Wow. At our third stop we "parked" for the sunset and it was just so magical. In those moments I really took in the fact that my trip was soon coming to an end and what an adventure it has been. Once the sun set and dinner was had, we made our way back, but not before we had one more opportunity to snorkel in complete darkness to see the bio-luminescent plankton. I had originally decided I wouldn't go back in the water and hoped that I'd be able to see it from the deck... but I decided to go in after all, and I am SO glad i did - snorkeling in the ocean under a dark night sky of twinkling stars, simultaneously the water twinkled and sparkled even more spectacularly of the plankton. This was by far the highlight of my trip as a first time solo traveler to Thailand. Book this excursion - you won't regret it!

This tour is simply special. Our group was a huge mix of couples, families, singles, and groups of friends. The excursions to be able to go snorkeling, paddle boarding, and everything else, around the beautiful islands of Krabi are so much fun. The equipment is kept in great condition and we were given ample time to enjoy the surroundings. This, in itself, gives this trip great value. What makes this special and memorable is the service from Michael and the team. They created a space of safety and fun. For those who were less confident about swimming, their team helped the whole way. There were birthdays and honeymoons in our group and everyone celebrated together. When I was planning the family trip, came across this tour and saw glowing reviews. This is one of the higher priced tour in Krabi, however its worth every penny. Michael and Charlie were wonderful. Both my wife and I do not know swimming, still we managed to do snorkeling for close to an hour at 2 different locations and also saw bio-luminescent in the night and they engaged my 5 year old son with paddle boating when we were snorkeling. In the evening we saw the beautiful sunset from the top deck of the boat. The experience was amazing. I did not expect to find prescription snorkel masks and good vegetarian food and I was pleasantly surprised. In all this is the must do tour, while you in Krabi.

We booked this on a whim through TripAdvisor. This sunset cruise is probably one of the highlights of trip, and we're only 2 days in. Before the sunset we stopped at 3 spots dor snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding. I saw several large pufferfish, parrotfish, and stingrays, among many many others. Between trips we could climb up to the upper deck using the rope latter attached to the mast. Then sunset, which was beautiful of course. To end the night they served a home cooked thai buffet and a night swim in the bioluminescent bay. 10/10 experience

Do not miss out! By far the best trip I've participated in. I can only say positives about the day: fantastic crew - laid back yet professional and super helpful. The scenery was of course stunning - the traditional junk boat just made everything look even more out of this world. Great snorkeling spots - also huge help from the staff for those who can't swim well. We got to try stand up paddle board and some jumps off the rooftop as well which was great fun. Fantastic food, great cocktails, stunning sunset... on the last stop we got to see bioluminescent plankton as well! We got to do more on this single trip than we did during the 4 days we spent in Krabi. Four of us all wanting to do and experience different things - we all had a fantastic time and ended the trip tempted to book again for the next day. Definitely going again!

Great time with Krabi Sunset Cruises! Beautiful tour; was great to get away from busy Ao Nang. The atmosphere works well for anyone as you really can do as much or as little as you like. I enjoyed just chilling out, taking in the views, and snorkeling while others enjoyed diving off the roof of the boat. Good for groups, couples, or solo travellers (like myself), which says a lot. The staff was super friendly and inviting.The food was delicious! I was not expecting that. Staff took photos during the trip and sent them to the guests as well. This was one of (if not) the best cruises we have been on. Charlie, Michael and the rest of the crew go out of their way to meet and chat with all of the guests and make sure that everyone feels welcome and included. They stop at awesome locations and really do provide you with the opportunity to snorkel, kayak or SUP as much as you desire. The stop are long enough that you never feels rushed and they even accommodate the less confident swimmers by towing they through a snorkelling experience on an inflated tube. I also watched a member of the crew teach someone to do a backflip and steady their legs while they learned to SUP. They created a wonderful "family like" enviromnent amoung the guests, which encouraged people to get involved and try new things. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, they would even deliver food and drinks to the roof if you were too lazy to go downstairs or jump off the roof. I had high expectations of This tours because of their reviews and they have all been exceded. Thank you for an amazing day out. Just the right pace for a holiday. Thank you.

During our 2 week stay on railay beach, we did this tour twice. 1st of all, the boat is incredible!!! 2 decks, clean comfortable and beautiful! 2nd, the snorkeling spots they took us to were so good! We saw so many beautiful little fishies and the surroundings were absolutely breathtaking! 3rd of all, the food was delicious and they had a vegetarian option, which I was worried about at first because I forgot to mention it before the tour! And lastly, the staff is amazing. They were very attentive, answered all our questions, very friendly and pretty funny too! They also made sure that everyone was safe and if someone wasnt a strong swimmer, one of the staff members would go with them! If that's not great customer service, I dont know what is! Not to mention the sunset spot was perfect! I loved everything about this tour and cant wait to go back and do it again!

This experience is THE perfect day in paradise! Cruising around in the Andaman Sea on a beautiful traditional wooden boat with a super friendly crew that makes you feel very welcome and makes sure you connect with the other guests. So even as a single traveler you easily make new friends to spend the day with. Chilling on deck or taking in the sun and the beautiful scenery from the roof while listening to nice music and having a drink or enjoying fresh fruits between several stops where you can jump from the boat, snorkel in a beautiful underwater world, SUP, kayak, swim... There is authentic Thai food for diner while you are watching the sun setting between the Karst Islands. If this isn't enough yet you go for a night swim in bioluminescent plankton. It's incredible swimming in a see full of stars! I enjoyed every minute of this day and can highly recommend it!

Super rad boat trip through some beautiful islands off the coast of Railay beach! Amazing junk boat, with a great crew + food! The boat stops and you get to go for a rip on a paddle board or kayak, or go for a snorkel and check out some tropical fish! Hundred percent recommend for anyone who wants to be a pirate for a day!

Highlight of my adventure around south east Asia. This tour is not like others. It's a very unique experiance. Managed very well and far more activities than other tours who just leave you on a beach. The staff are with you the whole way and do everything to make sure you have an amazing day. Paddle boards, snorkelling, kayaking and crazy jumps off the roof top if you're feeling adventurous. I’ve loved the sunset cruise! The surrounding landscape and the spots where we stopped to snorkel/canoeing/paddle boarding were beautiful, the variety of fish I saw was breathtaking, the food + drinks they provide were very good and the good music playlist was a pleasant added bonus :) There was a genuine good vibe, all the personnel was very friendly and welcoming and I felt at ease straight away. Carlotta is such a smiley and happy soul and fluently speaks different languages (I can recall English, Spanish, Italian but there might be more?); Michael is a cheerful Aussie climber that lives in Railay to make the most of climbing + seaside life and gave me several useful tips on the routes around the area and we also climbed together that week. I highly recommend Krabi Sunset crew of you’re looking for an unforgettable life experience. Ps: did I mention that we dived from the roof of the pirate boat? 🏴‍☠️

best boat cruise to date! the tour DID NOT disappoint. the highlight was seeing a ton of marine life. the staff are amazing and aim to please!
