Had an eye infection while in Ao Nang. The service is fine. Staff was quite efficient, kind and professional. Facility seemed clean... doctors spoke some english, which was fine. BUT... THE RATES ARE NOT FRIENDLY. So basically for announcing me the diagnosis of severe conjonctivitis (which I knew) and for rinsing my eye twice and the medication prescribed in total I payed about 320$ us. Also, as I was curious, prior to the eye wash procedure I asked the nurse the total amount of money I would have to pay and she told me a certain amount considering everything, but at the end the amount was much higher! Since the meds did not work, I took the first flight to Bangkok. After flying to Bangkok and consulting a well-rated and known specialist (ophthalmologist) who did a variety of tests, including lab tests and immediate results!!, also changed 3/4 of the medications I was given in Wattanapat Hospital as some of those I was given would irritate the eye even more (the doctor literally threw some of them in the gargabe bin in front of me!), also including opening of a new file and an emergency exam fees... and all this for a scanty amount of about 40$ us for a tourist!!! After a car accident in November 2022, 2 friends and I were brought to the Wattanapat Hospital and spent 10 days here. First impressions were immediately that it was a very professional and friendly environment. The first nurses and doctors could not speak English very well but made all efforts from gestures to google to explain what was going to happen. We were placed in separate rooms on the 'tourist department' where the nurses spoke better English. All the people we came into contact with were incredibly friendly and made every effort to make us feel at ease. When one of my friends was dismissed earlier than us since her injuries were not so serious and they put an extra mattrass in my room so that she could stay with us until our repatriation flight. I was unfortunate enough to have previously been committed to a hospital in Berlin for different reasons and would prefer the Wattanapat Hospital any day! It almost felt like an hotel. The staff always had time and was very quick to respond when pressing the help button. You could feel that they all enjoy working there and they would cheer us on when we were making steps towards recovery. Dr. Harper spoke english very well and made sure to regularly check how we were doing and to chat with us, she was an incredible presence and made sure everyone felt comfortable! On the evening of my repatriation I received a bag with medication, instructions and full documentation of my stay. Once I returned to germany and got a full checkup they complimented the surgery and scars as they were very well done! One thing to be aware of: They could not get a hold of my insurance right away and asked me to make an advance payment so that they could plan my surgery. Once my insurance got in touch I received the refund quite quickly. Conclusion: 10/10 would stay here again (But hopefully not). Big thanks to the staff!!

We landed in Trang Wattanapat Hospital with 4 year sick kid. From transport to hospital from Koh Lanta to coming back to our hotel - everything was organized perfectly. We had very comfortable room and could spend 24h per day with our son, we had everything what we needed, even our laundry done. It really helped us not to be so nervous about our kid. Hospital is well equipped and clean. Insurance coordinator from hospital was in steady contact with our insurance company and it all went smooth without any payments on our side. I guess hospital may be expensive as some comments wrote - but if so - I know what I was paying for and I am happy we always get good insurance when traveling abroad.
