My husband and I just had a private Tastes of Krakow tour with Mateusz. What an enjoyable evening! Not only did we visit unexpected hidden gems, but we tasted many of the wonderful specialties which comprise Polish cuisine. Mateusz shared stories about the history, culture, and wonderful Polish people. This was a memorable evening! Thank you, Mateusz for bringing us closer to Krakow. We highly recommend this tour and, especially, this guide.

Mateusz was our absolutely phenomenal guide on the Krakow Urban Tours Nowa Huta tour. I have visited Krakow seven times, and because of Mateusz’s expertise, passion, and talent, this unequivocally is the best tour I have taken on all of my visits. Mateusz held us spellbound as he described the myths and history of this fascinating part of Krakow, constructed by the Soviets after WWII as a “utopian city” 6 miles from old town in order to support the huge steel factory and its 40,000 workers plus their families. With Mateusz leading the way, we learned that Nowa Huta reveals the entire scope of the history of the Cold War behind the Iron Curtain. Our tour was supposed to last four hours, but because of all our questions and discussions, we kept Mateusz for almost five. Few Americans visit this weird, wonderful part of Krakow and they are missing a fabulous part of its history.

We greatly enjoyed our tour of Krakow with Mateusz. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Poland, and he showed us multiple sites and told many stories which we would not have seen or heard had we not taken this personal guided tour. We would very highly recommend Mateusz and would love to tour with him again in the future. We would give more than 5 stars!

We had a fabulous 4 hour walking tour with Mateusz in Krakow this week. It felt more like you were having a conversation with an old friend. He was full of information and great stories. I will be recommending Mateusz to all my friends who are visiting Krakow in the near future. Make sure he takes you to his favorite cafe in the jewish quarter for a pastry and cappucino. Best guide ever! Had a wonderful food tour with “Matt”. Had wonderful food and heard great stories about the places we were at and Polish food, culture, and history. Matt does a number of different kinds of tours. Highly recommend.

Mateusz is not only an incredible tour guide, he is one of the most interesting, charismatic, and open-minded people I have ever met. Throughout the week I spent with him, his positive energy, clear passion for Poland, and vast knowledge made my trip so much more enjoyable. He was always present in conversations and welcomed every question, even hard ones. Mateusz is the perfect example of someone that clearly loves what they do.

An outstanding guide in every respect-- knowledgeable, attentive to his guests, a playful sense of humor. He includes sites that are not necessarily at the top of every list on "things to do in Krakow", but that add to a visitor's appreciation of the city and its history. Trust your stay in Krakow to Mateusz!

Mateusz is one of those special people who shares both his knowledge of his subject and his sense of humor and personality, making the experience memorable in every way. He is knowledgable, comprehensive and above all, thoughtful in his ability to present Krakow to the visitor. If you are lucky enough to have Mateusz as your guide, you will never forget the experience and it will be well worth it.

Mateusz was a terrific guide to our group of about 20. He is deeply knowledgeable, and very adept at imparting information in an interesting and accessible way. We were also impressed that he was willing to answer any and all of our questions, no matter whether the subject was historical or contemporary. He provides an excellent introduction to Krakow and Poland more generally. I highly recommend him. Finally I would note that he coordinated extremely well with the organizers of our trip, presenting a unified team.

Mateusz guided our group round the city of Krakow during a work trip. He was a brilliant guide - personable, interesting and genuinely passionate about providing a fun experience for us. He took us to the best spots and was very flexible to our time needs as we had a reservation booked later in the evening. Would recommend!

3 of us did an evening food and drink tour of Krakow with Mateusz in late Jan 2023. Mateusz was friendly, knowledgeable and very happy to answer all our questions (mostly about 20th century Poland). He gave us some great recommendations for museums to visit and restaurants to go to during our stay. Highly recommended for food tours and more as he is a qualified and certified guide.

Matuesz is a very fun and knowledgeable tour guide. He knows details about EVERYTHING!!! During our tour of Krakow he kept us interested the whole time. We went to cool locations that the typical person would not even know existed, like hidden vents underneath the city, and at the end we went to a brewery where he gave is OWN brewery tour. Highly recommend Matuesz if you are looking to tour Krakow.

Mateusz was an exceptional guide. He brought Krakow to life through lessons in history and interesting stories. He brought us to the highlights of the city as well as places only the locals go. I would highly recommend hiring him for a guide if you want to gain an insight into Krakow that you wouldn’t get on your own. He arrived early to our hotel and walked us all the way to the train station. Truly an exceptional experience!

Mateusz organized our group of 14 people so that everywhere we went, things ran smoothly for us. For example, at restaurants, food was ready and met our dietary restrictions. He gave us great information about the sites we visited and was universally appreciated by all of the travelers in our group. His kindness, patience, and attention to detail were top-notch!

A highlight of our week in Krakow. Highly recommend Mateusz's remarkable tour of Nowa Huta. It's the best way to learn the history, culture and stories of this fascinating place. Mateusz is funny and fascinating. He explained all the ways that communism and post-1989 politics have shaped generations. Plus, it's a beautiful city to explore.
