I stayed 5 nights. From 1-6 October. Professional staff was always helpful and willing to talk and make you feel at home. Showers and toilets were always clean and working well at all times. They have 4 good shower rooms. Kitchen is spacious and all times clean. A day before I leave they received brand new mattress and new beds. I had a chance to sleep my last night in the new mattress. Amazing good. Really confortable. Honestly the best hostel in Kraków for the budget price. If a complaint is a must, I would say bigger lockers would be a plus.

I was more than happy to stay here during my travel. Clean, modern-disigned hostel in the city center makes it very accessible to reach anything quickly. The place has a great atmosphere: lovely staff, chilling room(free Netflix included), lots of people from different counties! Reception is open 24/7, shops are near, parking slots around the corner. Thank you, hope to come back next time!

Extremely rude receptionist screamed at me for no reason and asked me to leave. There’s no signs at the door as “no visitors allowed”. Instead the lady decided to scream at me “YOU DON’T STAY HERE, LEAVE NOW!”. Terrible hostel.

Definitely the best hostel in Krakow by an absolute long shot. The guy who owns it is so sound, you can tell he has stayed in many hostels because it’s like he’s taken all the good things from different hostels and brought them here. Super clean - even a dishwasher for all those lazy lazy travellers who like to leave their dishes in the sink. Check out time 11.30am! Like hello, this man has taken pity on all us hungover travellers who do not like to be chucked out on the street at 9am in the morning. Amazing common area with a salt lamp in it. Sick sick decor loads of cool art and paintings, got quite a lovely chill vibe. And finally, their is a little hostel doggo who likes to visit sometimes. A DOGGO!!! If you are coming to Krakow you must stay here

Great hostel but problematic long stay guests. Liked · Overall, the hostel is very good. The beds are comfortable. The staff is very nice. They have plenty of facilities and there are even things for snack and drink to buy if you get cravings at night. Disliked · The internet doesn't work well. The real reason for such a low score and why I would not recommend it: There is one very important criteria that I search on hostels recently - if they have long stay guests. Among references of Das Hostel I did not find complaint about them so it was the reason why I choose it. Unfortunately in my room there were at least 2 permanents. One of them was very arrogant. Those people often feel that since they "live" in the hostel they have more rights as this is THEIR home. The man insisted on keeping the door of the room opened because of fresh air. Then he would leave the room in the middle of the night still leaving the door opened. There were people talking in the reception and my bed was just next to the door so I could not sleep properly and in the end I closed the door again. The guy came back late night and made a lot of noise and then guess what... he went to sleep without shower... so yeah... he is also part of the issue with the need of fresh air. I know that hostel is not responsible for what kind of people their guest are but there are so many solution to this problem: 1. Require guest not to use shoes in the room - leave the shoes outside 2. Put permanent residents in on room, where they can have their own jungs laws. 3. Explain to permanents that it is NOT their home, and they should be as respectful as they require others to be. 4. Allow only short term stays. And many others. I have had so many problems with permanent residents this year that I have decided that regardless of how good hostel was if they spoiled my experience, I will leave negative reference for the hostel because there are actually things that can be done to improve the experience of traveler.

Decent hostel, the atmosphere could be a bit better but, overall, it had good location, price and common spaces. It was fairly clean and quite during my stay.

I had stayed at this hostel for 3 nights. The price is adequate for what you get and the location is the best thing about this place as you can get to the very center of the city after about 10 minutes walk. The biggest problem that I had during my stay were definitely the beds. Needless to say that I was sleeping on the upper bed of the bunk bed. First of all these bunk beds were really unstable so whenever the person under me moved even a little bit it felt like I was on a ship. Not even mentioning that when you're climbing onto these beds it feels like you will fall over and there's nothing to hold onto because the "fence" guiding you so that you won't fall during the night is all shaky. Another thing that I had problem with was the lack of sockets. Especially when you sleep up on the bunk bed you have nowhere to charge you're phone. Someone could argue that you could leave your phone charging during the night but when you need to set an alarm for the morning then you cannot leave your phone half a kilometre away from you. The third and last problem were the showers where there was no place where you could put your clothes while washing and so even in the morning when you want to change your clothes and underwear it's really difficult to do so without throwing your clothes on the floor. And I had similar problem in the room where the only place where you can put your things are the tiny lockers. These are the things that concerned me the most. I could also mention that one of my "roommates" was snoring heavily and he was screaming while sleeping, but that's just how it is with hostels (you cannot choose your roommates) and it isn't a problem of the hostel. Overall the place was fairly clean and the staff spoke good English.

Decent hostel experience with close location to the Old Town. Beds are comfy, showers are hot, and there is a communal kitchen. Not much space for storing luggage and not a whole lot of social atmosphere. Good stay though!

nice building, good kitchen, small common room, rooms were alright though it was difficult to charge your things from the top bunk. Bathrooms and showers were clean, and staff was friendly. Beds were also quite squeaky, and shaky, but nothing uncommon in a hostel.

Beautiful hostel with cute interior and professional, kind receptionist. There is a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom that will match your basic needs. It is very near to the city center. The dislike is for the damaged bedsheets, extra charge for towels, and poor air conditioning in the room for 4 people.

Book 2 beds in a dorm room 2 months ahead of time and we got contacted by the owner 3 days before we arrived saying somehow the system had overbooked and they would sort alternative accommodation. We had no idea what that meant so on arrival we were surprised that we weren’t actually staying at das hostel on the first night and we’re actually staying at another hostel 5 minutes away. We were not happy with this and wanted a refund for that night which the owner would not provide. He made it sound like he did us a favour by not cancelling our booking and booking us a much worse hostel (recent reviews of that hostel all mentioned cleanliness was an issue which we found to be a issue as well). Very poor communication and customer service from staff and owner. As for the hostel itself. Very small common area with minimal plugs and the dorm room itself had only 2 plugs for 10 people. Im sure you can find something better for the price.

Stayed on the first floor in a 6-bed dorm. To begin with, the mattress sheet was really difficult to be put on the mattress for someone who was sleeping on the upper bunk bed. The room was too small for any space to put on mattress sheets and I had to take the whole mattress away from the bed, and downstairs to be able to put on the mattress sheets. Beds were really uncomfortable. The mattresses were too soft and the bed frame was really noisy and shaky. Even just moving a little bit sidewards while sleeping would vibrate the whole bunk bed and make squeaking noises. And because the mattresses were so soft, it was hard to even move around on the bed, or even sit on it, especially for an upper bunk bed user. I was lucky that the person below me was someone I accompanied with, but if the person below me was a stranger I would feel even more uncomfortable. Moreover, there were barely any railings on the side of the upper bunk beds; I am not afraid of heights, but even I got a bit anxious when I got up on my bed the first time (combined with the mattress that felt like you were sinking, it was not a good experience). Also my room was facing the road, so there were tram noises (I was fine with it, but some of my roommates complained about it). Showers were terrible. There were 4 stalls on our floor which I find too little considering there are at least 40 people on the floor if fully occupied (and it was for me). Out of 4 showers, 3 had their own problems. The first one (nearest to reception) was constantly clogged with hair and the temperatures fluctuate from hot and cold often. The second one (next to the toilet) had absolutely boiling water that no one would be able to stand. The third one inside the toilet makes a super loud noise once you use it that you can hear even inside the dorm room (which I stayed in) on the opposite side of the toilet. I didn't use the last shower because I didn't know it existed until the last day, which was in the kitchen apparently; yet there were no signs pointing towards it so barely anyone knows. That shower was the best one out of all 4 from what I heard. Wifi was alright but there was one night that it did not work at all. (I stayed for 3 nights) Giving it two stars because there are two positives: 1) staff is very friendly and kind, and 2) location is really good, very close to the city centre. But even with the positives, I wouldn't recommend this hostel, especially if you are staying overnight for more than a day.

Old and too soft beds. The shower is a bit crooked but all in all good! As a German I came because of „das“ - it’s enough reason for us

Impossible to get hold of if you need to reschedule your room stay. They purposely do not reply to you, so that you are charged full price if unable to stay or need to change dates.

I booked for a room. The day after I become positive in covid and I wrote them to cancell the book in the first 24h since the payment. Their answer was "We do not provide the cashback in case of any situation". This is how the treat people in this situation. Uncomprensible.

Fantastic rooms for a hostel. They have a large kitchen and quiet 'chill' room for guests to relax. The bunkbeds are good sizes and the staff are always happy to help. Also good spoken English and signs.

Fantastic little Hostel. In close walking distance to the old town and many other places. Good to reach from the train station by bus. Feels like a regular flat, very clean and friendly and helpful staff. All that for a very affordable price. Highly recommended.

Decent relation price-product. The rooms are small and with 3 bunk beds you run out of space quick. Staff is amazing, all friendly. The location is pretty convenient, close to the city center, 20’min walk to the castle.

All the sheets are stained, the beds are uncomfortable, the room arrangements are bad and messy and everything is just unsanitary and dirty. The only good thing is the location.
