The audience corresponds to the theme of the club, they feel good and comfortable among their own people. It has its own chess atmosphere. Pleasant twilight, the tables are illuminated from above, there are two projectors - cinema classics are broadcast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Three types of beer. The only wheat one resembles a cheaper swill, size 0.33 for the price of a pint in other places. The menu is hipster. There's really nothing to eat. On the plus side there is chess. The situation is normal. It is better to play in Moscow in the FIDE federation. More emotions like from a tournament. Calling this a bar would be a stretch. Newfangled hipster burp.

Lovely cost place

We visited the establishment at lunchtime. We took a business lunch. It's good that the portions are small - you won't eat much. And there will be no significant damage to the body, it will just be moderately bad. Cooking like this requires effort. Just "Checkmate". Everything is tasteless, the udon is actually broken spaghetti, swimming in a greasy sauce, the salad with overcooked chicken is already drowned in mayonnaise, the soup is water, the only plus is the chess on the table and lemonade in a whiskey glass with ice. There are no complaints about the service. The price is average for the city.

Staff is perfect

A great place if you want to play chess in a pleasant company. As for the cuisine and bar, the choice is not too rich (especially in terms of beer), but for me it’s more of a chess club. Here, however, not everything is smooth either. At one time in the tournament, out of the announced 7 rounds, there could have been 6, or even 5, but now, it seems, this problem has been solved. At one point they increased the price for participation, supposedly due to the FSR being shortchanged, but in fact the tournaments are not being shortchanged (only the first few tournaments in February were shortchanged). I also know that many people don’t like the fact that two tournaments are now taking place on the same day. Despite the above, I haven’t found any suitable alternatives, so we can only hope for improvements.

I reserved a sofa in a non-smoking room. When I arrive, the sofas are occupied. They took me to the smoking room and offered green tea as compensation🤦

The establishment is located in the very center of Moscow, in a picturesque location on Kudrinskaya Square. It is enough to stand with your back to the zoo and go around the Stalinist high-rise building on the left. The manager, named Hakim, is a very hospitable owner of his establishment - everything was at the highest level, from meeting guests to payments and seeing off. Bartenders Maxim and Alexey listened carefully to our wishes for cocktails, and we are picky people in this matter. The cuisine also left a pleasant impression - the udon with shrimp was very filling and tasty. This portion was worth the money. We liked it so much that we decided to purchase a natural soy candle with vanilla and bourbon, which has taken its rightful place in our home collection. Thanks to the entire Chess Club Moscow team and each of the employees individually for an atmospheric evening filled with comfort and magic!
