A beautiful monument. Well maintained. Remind us of the exploits of our heroes. The monument was erected in honor of the soldiers of the 316th Infantry Division under the leadership of I.V. Panfilov, who became famous during the defense of Moscow. In November 1941, when German troops came close to Moscow, they met fierce resistance from the Panfilov division. The story has been preserved about the feat of 28 Panfilov Heroes, who managed to destroy 18 enemy tanks during a 4-hour battle. Later, the Main Military Prosecutor's Office of the USSR recognized this as literary fiction - one of the components of military propaganda. However, the huge contribution of the Panfilov division to the victory in the defense of Moscow is not in doubt. In the center of the memorial complex there is a red brick stele, imitating part of the Kremlin wall, with the inscription “Glory to the Panfilov Heroes” and the star of the Hero of the Soviet Union. To the left of it is a sculpture of a Soviet soldier with a machine gun in his hand, to the right is the “Combat Path” stand, which depicts a map of the advance of the Panfilov division in the counter-offensive operation - from Moscow to Tallinn. An artillery gun from the Great Patriotic War is installed in front of the composition.

The monument, in my opinion, is a little strange; it gives the impression of something random and ill-considered. A piece of a Kremlin wall, a huge awkward star of a hero. But, unfortunately, such monuments were installed in different parts of our country during Soviet times. This feeling of randomness arises even more when you pass by a cannon - for some reason it has almost moved onto the roadway. When I walk past on the sidewalk, I always bow my head by inertia so as not to hit my head on the barrel of this gun. But in general, the attitude is: let it be at least like this rather than nothing. And, again, it’s still history.

This is the memory of the Great Patriotic War. Memory of the feat of 28 Panfilov heroes who stood up for the defense of Moscow and did not allow the German invaders to reach our capital.

An interesting place to visit, huge figures in a field, next to a small museum. You can see it for free, the bunker museum is paid, there is parking.

I love this monument. The gun is real, only all the working mechanisms have been welded. The monument itself is very interesting, there are many names of fallen soldiers. There are always flowers. It is from places like these that the patriotism of young children begins. These are the heroes you should tell your children about. Eternal glory and honor to the Panfilov company.

I don’t understand why they are called Panfilov’s people? A monument to a myth, a fairy tale, a journalist’s invention?? Why not just dead heroes?? Real people who fought for their country???

This is a monument to my fellow countrymen from Almaty. I live in this area, and whenever I pass by, I always feel a lump in my throat... I bow to the Great Feat of everyone who went through that HELL, who gave their lives for us living today. Seven of my grandfathers fought in that terrible war, one, a tank driver, the youngest, went missing in the first days of the war near Grodno. Eternal memory and low bow to all who won!
