This is a MUST visit temple whenever I visit Ayutthaya. What I can says is... WOW!!!

This is a big temple and very popular. It is especially popular on lottery days. In the main pagoda the remains of the previous Abbott, which have mama fied are in a glass coffin.

Its an enormous temple complex dedicated to a famous monk. The remains of this monk are preserved within the large chedi. It is also a very commercial temple with donation points throughout the complex. ATM’s are strategically placed in case you need more funds to donate.

A must visit to this temple. The whole temple is to tribute a monk who passed on. No ticket needed. Head towards the pond where there are 2 long dragons. The number of chicken figures are numerous. Got a lot of food stalls nearby too if you are hungry. There is free parking if you drive.

The "Wat" temple was beautiful, and inside the temple you can buy lots of amulets. Price for each amulet 150 baht to 350 baht. There was plenty of parking space and no charge to park. Not expensive. However, if you are arriving from Bangkok, the road to the temple is under construction as of October 26th 2022.

I am told this is one of the most visited temples in Thailand now due to the highly revered monk who died there some years ago and whose remains are on view inside

A most respected Wat in Thailand revered by all. Large complex extremely popular with Thais. Very well laid out, historical story of the monk who lies in state. Wonderful place to feel Buddhism at its best. Well worth the trip.

Beautiful temple. So peaceful inside. A bit hard to find the parking on weekends.
