It was built on the model of the Grotto of the French Course. It is believed that the sculpture of the Virgin Mary and the spring gushing nearby, like the real Lourdes, have magical powers. Next to the dam is a former water mill (built in 1822). Repair work is currently underway, the community of Kretinga actively discusses and expresses his opinion.
