Restaurant Chinese noodle restaurant

🫤 Price is steep for a bowl of pork noodles - RM12 for small, RM15 for big. Portion does not justify the price tag. Taste is alright but I'm sure there are other pork ball noodles with similar quality in taste with more affordable price tag. People often mention pork, noodles, bowl, taste, small, price, stall, noodle,

Perpetual Q for table in this coffee shop. Most popular is this pork noodles. I find the taste good but not amazing. Should try once if you never ate before and understand the popularity of this stall.

A little over rated, despite having a long history. Taste wise, the soup is nice but the noodles and pork rather standard. Rather pricy (RM12 for a small bowl) portion are really small. Parking in this area is another challenge as well.

Best porkball noodles (San Kan Chong) hands down in KL. Don't come for the service or environment. Come for the food. Definitely pricier than others but you get what you pay for. Would recommend to go for their dry version with thin flat rice noodles (hor fun). Wish they would properly setup a queue system though instead of just expecting customers to be recognised by having their chopsticks and fermented green chilli dish on the table. Would advise to constantly check with their waitstaff on your orders to avoid your turn to be hijacked. Best to be seated near the stall.

To be honest, I was there after some recent mixed reviews about this once famous pork ball noodles. As usual, the hype is still there therefore explains the long q during peak morning breakfast time. But, the noodle is kinda expensive, which is RM15 per bowl. It’s not that we can’t afford that much, but the taste doesn’t quite justify the value. Kinda disappointed.

I’ve frequented this pork noodle joint for more than 15 years. Back then in 2008 it’s RM7 per bowl, already considered high in price. Today 2023 it’s RM15 per normal bowl. Inflation really bites. From Sam Kah Chan (combi of 3 pork such as the pork ball, “sausage” and the mince meat) now it has added fried small intestine for the price. Back then the prior original uncle owner, the noodles are well blanched and placed in an uniform way. Now that they have changed ownership, noodles consistency change every time I frequent there. I’m still there for the nostalgia feeling but I’m compelled to review today with a 2 star to reflect the changes and reminiscences the past that was better. You are better off trying the nasi lemak joint outside the shop with a friendly Malay couple owner. I kid you not it’s one of the better Nasi Lemak in town and only open in the morning. And it’s also the 2nd longest existing stall in this shop to my recollection.

2018- The best porkball noodles i had in kl. Love the dry one with minced pork. Soup has chinese sausage in it. If you go for large you get 2pieces. 2023 - I don’t think there is original owner/couple as in 2018. Not the same taste. (Minus one star). Rm15 for small size. That’s a 50% price increase in 5 years. (Minus one star). Will not return. Disappointed as this was my favorite.

Was here on a sat morning to try this noodles. The wait was about 15min. The 2 bowl dry and soup costs $30 so it's quite expensive. The portion is decent. The fish cake is ok with little fish taste. The soup has tons of msg. Overall taste is so-so. Can drop by when you stay nearby the hotel or around the area. Remarks: Saw a big mickey mouse on the wire 🤣🤣 while waiting for the food.

It is a breakfast place for local and of course tourist. Been eating some of the time since 2019, this legendary pork noodle come with 2 type, dry or soup. Both type is always on par, within acceptable range, some of the time, it can really go above par. Depends on your luck. You can hardly found quite the same quality and that shop has open for years. But this stall, Yes, at least 5 years and still sustained after Covid. On today, Nov 2023, I ordered a dry pork noodle, and IT HAS NOW COST RM15 for small size. As usual when you ask the Chinese Boss, blah blah blah, inflation or what. Do take note that this stall(stall inside a local kopitiam), all run by foreigner, ever since I first found this noodle. I bet uncle feel that tourist business is how he can now become Boss and chill chill relax. 😎

Taste fine, portion is ok. but for a bowl of Porkball noodles, even it is in the middle of KL City Center, it is not worth the eye-dropping pricetag of RM15.... Used to come here occasionally for the good taste, but too bad this price tag suggest me to find other alternatives at other locations. Not coming back again.
