We were 14pax in a group to celebrate a baby birthday, but the table arrangement was terrible. Long table & basically squeezing everyone together. Where’s the SOP? the distance between the tables r so close leaving a small lane just enough for 1 person to walk through & it’s very inconvenient as u need to walk around getting your food & be seated again. U literally will bang your neighbour when both standup to go out. The food is rather disappointing too. Sashimi were cut & served like some cheap leftover in the corner, and the oyster is so ‘skinny’. All the shell seafood r tasteless. U can’t say its not fresh, because it taste like it’s been cook & put back to the ice. Food presentation is overall like ‘ Canteen food’ . Why is a famous 5 star hotel buffet presentation be like this? Totally not worth for RM230+/ pax. Desserts r old style, nothing fancy about it. What surprise me was, There’s no coffee bar. We can only order hot coffee/tea/ plain water for such pricey buffet. I ordered a coffee, and the waitress didn't ask if i want milk / sugar & made me a coffee with milk. Okey…and she also ask me why didn’t I finish my dessert & coffee as i left half of them on the plate. She murmur herself that it’s abit of wasting. I directly tell her that the food r very disappointing & i couldn’t finish them. But it’s quite shocking to get a question from a staff like that. Overall experience, very messy & not suitable to go with kids, food not impressive, service was bad, will not go again.

Service staffs is very good and attentive. The food is good and clean. Everyone have to wear plastic gloves while taking food in buffet. Reasonable price specially for a buffet and a lot of fresh seafoods to choose from❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ plus the desserts is good. Right size of slice cakes and brownies like canapés. We enjoy it so much and plan to do dinner next time😊😊😊

Lemon Garden buffet lunch or dinner does not need any introduction. My family and I are big fans of the buffet. The Fri, Sat and Sunday buffet dinners offers premium seafood spread. Consistent with the premium tag, pricing is higher as well. If I were to compare the lunch and dinner spread, I would think the only difference be the lobsters and crabs. Didn't see the rest to be any different. My latest visit was on a Friday night. Surprisingly, the crowd is no longer what it use to be. One will likely be able to get seats even on walkin basis vs pre-Covid days when it is filled to be brim. Is this buffet worthy of RM258 nett per person? Did not felt so in my recent visit. As mentioned, did not feel the additional offers in spread to be worthy of the additional moo. Had the lobsters which were a far cry from my earlier visits. The meat some how was tasteless and there was quite a bit of water inside the lobsters. Suspect these have been frozen for quite some time. The crayfish (my favourite) quality has also deteriorated in freshness as compared to before. Only the prawns, oysters and scallops cam be commended. Hence, my deduction that the higher price charged is not worth it. The rest of the spread was the same as what one gets during lunch. The sirloin cuts were pretty bad for a 5-star hotel standard. Meat was hard and dry given that it is sliced and layed out on a heated serving tray for duration of the buffet. I took 2 pieces which were largely made up of tendons - something which is not quite acceptable for a 5-star hotel standard. Desserts however was very good. They were serving durian desserts and had a satisfying indulgence of the king of fruits. Cakes were good and the ice cream provided a good closure to the food binge episode. The chocolate fountain is no longer available likely a result of Covid. Something which is missed by my family and I. The restaurant manager should think of alternatives in bringing back this offering given the popularity. As always, the service crew was top notched. Service remained attentive with plates cleared promptly. The waiters and waitresses were polite and very accomodating.

Impressed by the wide variety of cuisine. Of course the most popular section is the seafood bar. Enjoy sashimi and various seafood. Personally love the steamed prawns with soy sauce and wasabi. So fresh. Plenty of desserts. Kids would love the ice-cream bar and chocolate fountain. Place is cramp as tables are arranged close together. Other than that we had a wonderful time at the buffet.

Oh yumsss! Love their food here. I guess they toned down the menu a bit but it’s still worth it if you’re a big eater. Crowd during weekdays are not as before. Newnorm SOP: using gloves provided when you’re in the buffet area. Not much to complain. Lots of food you can try covering Chinese, Malay, Indian, Italian and even Japanese. International plus seafood!

The legendary place of hotel buffet in KL, variety is good, but taste average, none of the dishes hit… even to their desserts… There were 6? Birthday customers, Every Now and then birthday song sung by the crew. Unlimited lobsters is cold serving seafood, and the size… also the taste… The crew were attentive at first… but then upon closing no one clearing the tables… rushing back home? Crowded, and tight seating… too tight

The go to place for intl buffet, whether you’re a desert or savory food kind of person this place has it. Came during cny period and I enjoyed the yee sang station that replaced the salad counter, the double boiled soups that they change flavor from time to time; I had the chicken winter melon soup and black bean soup, didn’t see any abalone but there’s some fish maw in the broccoli dish, pastry counter there’s some nice fried ningao, lotus paste filled pastry, cookies and plenty of cakes and chocolates. Nangka baked cheesecake is interesting and I also love their tong sui. There’s hardly an opportunity not to be full dining here. Service was excellent, from the front counter to the staff clearing the plates and ice cream counter, everyone gave service with a smile and was upbeat and enthusiastic. Love the energy ❤️

New Normal, as per standard SOP guidelines please reserve early as the capacity for lunch or dinner buffet are limited due to social distance. Very friendly staff that accommodates everyone in the restaurants. Managers were there to ensure physical social distancing are known. Food quality was good. Love the chinese soups. Keep it up the good work Lemon Garden. More to come!

After social distancing due to covid, the dinner time buffet wasn't overly crowded and dining was very enjoyable overall. Also I think this as one of the best seafood hotel buffet happening in KL. Specially for those who are buffet lovers like me, gonna enjoy a lot. There are fresh seafood like oysters, salmon, tuna, butter fishes, octopus etc and western dish like typical carbs loaded pasta and pizza as well as beef loin steak, roasted veggies. Basically typical Indian, Chinese, Japanese dishes are spread. The variation isn't that great or splurge as a top notch. Some downside is that Indian dishes are left with mostly greasy oil bath of gravey only, just bits of boney meats. Mutton curry was ok, but too oily and gristle meats left over from lunch buffet? Also they don't have any tandoori chicken or mutton or fish with fresh naan bread that is unexpectedly surprising. Only biryani rice and white rice are on display. Amongst European items, there aren't any kind of cheese spreads, neither of any kind of tapas things, such as artichokes or olives, figs, anchovies, asparagus etc I think the veggies and most cook meat are somewhat the restaurant can get easily sourced where else affordablly. So as a buffet goer, in order to make yet high buffet price worthy, try to enjoy the fresh seafood as much as you can!

Here's the thing about buffets: you walk in feeling like a hero, and you walk out feeling like life just gave you a beating. After your fourth plate (or dessert), you're probably loathing yourself. If you don't reach this point, you need to question yourself - why am I eating a buffet? I came here with my colleagues during Ramadan, and even though it was super busy, it never felt overwhelming. There are tons of choices here which will suit all tastes, from Asian, local, Western, Chinese, seafood, whatever floats your boat. Every section delivers for me, minus the seafood section which I found a bit tasteless. Don't skip the outside area with its own surprises. I would spend the whole evening here, and I'll probably walk out 5kgs heavier.

Good selection and variety of food on lobster night. Very fresh seafood choice like oyster, sashimi, crab, prawns and steam garoupa fish. Nice n hot double boiled soup. Worth the price. Will recommend. Feel safe to dine in as they practice strict SOP.

Their salmon sashimi has bone in it. their tuna sashimi texture, even sushi tei has better quality. their tandoori chicken so dry I almost choke myself. their pasta soooo watery and bland even with the sauce. their only edible food is briyani RICE ONLY with the fish curry. the beef rendang overcooked I chew and chew and chewed is it my teeth problem I wonder? the steamboat ingredients so average I don't want to mention. the oyster is so far the worst oyster I had, NIPAH EQ had way fresher and larger ones. the dessert only 2 out of so all has my liking, chocolate and almond one, others are either too dry or too sweet or mehh. the most disappointing is the choux, its a disgrace to the patisserie. shaved iced and fruit chocolate fondue imma speechless. my only advice, eat at your own risk. k bye.

While it offers great lotsa choices, from Chinese to Japanese to Italian cuisine, some food are just so so like the dim sum I tried out that day, it's a bummer. Check out their seafood section you will love them. Ice cream service however is a little bit slow unfortunately they should have done it by self service rather than by a less friendly guy.

This buffet restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and pleasant ambiance, making it a nice place to dine. However, the limited food selection may disappoint those seeking variety. While the dinner experience is so-so, the inviting atmosphere adds some charm to the overall dining experience.

A well decorated place. Soothing ambient. A little cramp up arrangement once there is an adjacent sitting would block up the path. Great varieties of food choice. Sadly i no longer touch on seafood. The oysters n prawn looks fresh. Seeing my wife peel the prawns enjoying the meal. Was lucky to be early n able to snap photo before event personnel starts their meal.

Great place for a lunch buffet. The price is very reasonable and worth it. Make sure not to eat a lot before you go! Try to get as much crab and oysters as you can😀 also try the beef tenderloin 😀

Was too engrossed eating. Still.as buffet in town. Fresh Oysters, seafood, lobsters were great. Brother ate 2 dozen oysters. Meats were good. Nieces enjoyed the indian food, pastas and pizzas. I loved the hummus and pita bread. The double boiled soup was great. Deserts were delicious. Only sadly cheese and breads not such a wide variety like in the good old days of the economic boom. Family favourite.

Roasted oysters and fresh prawns are better than others. Herbal chicken soup is my favourite. Roasted lamb is just a bit raw to me but juicy. I still prefer to eat well cooked lamb

Went for the premium seafood buffet on Friday. The spread was good but not great for its price. You have unlimited lobster (and no worries, it is always refilled), though the lobster is on the smaller side. I have never been blown away by lobster at buffets as the cold serving has never tasted amazing to me - it was ok, and so was the crab - good size and texture, but nothing special. In fact, the best tasting cold seafood was indeed the cold prawn which was firm and sweet. You also have the typical sushi and sashimi including salmon, tuna and squid. No tempura though. The Chinese section was also good but not spectacular. They have relatively premium based chinese dishes, however the duck and chicken was not that juicy, but acceptable, and you have other options like steamed fish, herb chicken feet soup and dim sum and pau (lotus and red been) that you can never go wrong with. The western side, carvery was berf striploin which was perfectly medium rare, but could be great if it was a bit warmer. The other carvery was salmon wellington, which the soft crust and chicken layer tasted very nice, but the salmon itself tasted good but mushy. Also had chicken, lamb dish, potato mash and others. The italian section had minute made fresh pasta (didnt try it), various thin slice pizza (seafood, papperoni, and vegetarion) which were nice, various baked bread and olives, and a rather small selection of cheese platter (like 4 types). They also had local and indian selection which includes briyani, tandoori, naan, satay and other local dish, as well as salad and cold cuts selections which all i skipped as had to save room for the 2 extra large rounds of the seafood! Desert selection included cakes, pavlova, tarts and local desserts, and they all tasted quite good, especially the various durian deserts (cake and tart), but nothing really spectacular. Ice cream selection was four usual flavours and not of any particular highend brand (ie not hagen daz etc). Overall, I would rank the buffet at LeMeridien and Jogoya definitely higher as they have better selection of food. LeMeridien has tempura and teppanyaki as well as a larger selection of desserts and the dishes overall taste slighty better than Lemon Garden. Jogoya is a seafood and Japanese style food paradise and have larger dessert selection and premium ice cream, though it lacks other food variety specifically on western front. The clear advantage for Lemon Garden are the unlimited lobster and premium selection of chinese dishes, though they all tasted just ok - this is my 3rd visit in 2 years 🤣. All service staff were very pleasant, and they clear the table and refilled water quite promptly. For its price of RM258 (vs LeMeridien RM208 and Jogoya RM188), it is less worth it without discount and as noted i would rate it last among the three, though its definitely better than most other KL buffet ive been to, but it is also one of the most expensive. Without discount, I would overall rate it a 3 star, but using Maybank Premier card, u get 50% off for 2 pax, basically buy one free one, hence the four star rating.

Came here for a meal with friends and was surprised to know that it was fully booked! Luckily, we reserved seats ahead of time. The ambience was really nice. Big, clean and spacious. Service -wise, the staff were attentive and friendly too. Table was cleared automatically as soon as we were done. I was very impressed with the selection and quality of the food as well. Every dish was amazing and tasted fresh and delicious! I liked how there was always something new to get every round and didn't feel repetitive. Do note that they have a few types of soup available throughout the buffet, so be sure to get the one you like when you see it, otherwise the menu might change later on. Would definitely come back again and I highly recommend this place!

Lunch buffet is quite full but not congested. Ambiance is good and seats are comfortable. Service is good and staff are attentive. A great variety of food choice and most of them are good taste. Sashimi counter oyster is fresh, but crab is not so fresh. Chinese counter tiger prawn is nice, double boiled chicken soup is delicious too, fried wanton is not so good. Indian counter chicken satay is nice, beef satay is a bit hard, curry mutton also a bit dry. Western counter beef tenderloin is medium well done just right for me. Italian counter pizza is thin and small slice, but is good taste. I like the hot larva cake and sweet corn ice cream at dessert counter. Ambank card buy one free one at RM198 nett.

The food was superb especially their big oyster. Its was fresh and yummy with a slice of lemon and soak with abit tabasco sauce. Not to forget their choice for ice cream & ABC desert It's a very comfy, clean and bright with natural light. The staff also very friendly and guide us on how to eat fresh big oyster. Due to we all have to live with covid and omicron, v have to follow a tight SOP where v have to wear facemask all the time as possible when v r not eating or a must to wear facemask when v walk away from our table for more food. The dedicated staff would fill in our plate instead v get it ourself previously. Will make a return for more 😍

Was here for my family reunion dinner. Made booking in advance and they offered me 25% discount for max 10 diners. Luckily it was just 9 of us. Appreciate the service team for following the requests we want (round table, near window). It was very crowded and the food is getting refilled in time, kind of understandable. Variety is not as much as Jogoya but I like the way they are changing food from time to time so that we get to taste different food. However, good food like abalone and lobster are refilled and once it finished, it means it really finished. Overall the experience is good and will recommend to other people.

A very nice restaurant, Lemon Garden in Shangri-la Hotel Kuala Lumpur. A comfortable environment with good cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff and of course delicious foods from Malaysia local cuisine Chinese Malay and Indian styles, to western cuisine and also many types of delicious desserts. Reasonable price for buffet. With indoor carparks available and can make reservations online for lunch and dinner.

Food was good, atmosphere was great. Some of the oysters weren't cleaned properly, they were not shucked. Sashimi is decent and quite fresh, prawns were FRESH. They are famous for their soups, quite a decent dessert section as well. The cheese was underwhelming and a bit sad.

Occasion: Christmas Buffet Party Number of Guests: 20 pax The venue was beautifully decorated with a relaxing ambiance. However, the tables were arranged so closely that it became a bit challenging to move around comfortably. The place was bustling with the festive spirit of Christmas, resulting in a lively and crowded atmosphere. The celebratory vibe led to a high noise level, forcing us to raise our voices to communicate. The variety of foods, especially the cold seafood selections, was delightful and impeccably fresh! They made sure each section was well-stocked, ensuring a continuous flow of dishes without keeping us waiting. On a note of concern, I couldn't help but feel for the hardworking staff. The chefs were busily handling long queues, particularly at the salad bar, soup section, ice cream bar, and cold seafood area. Short-staffed waiters and waitresses were hustling to clear dirty plates and fulfill customer requests as best as they could. Despite the challenges faced by the staff, I was thoroughly satisfied with the freshness of the food. I genuinely hope they can maintain this quality in the long run. I look forward to returning for their seafood offerings.

A definite must for people who are seafood lovers! They have a lot of sea based food that is fresh and does not have that ‘fishy’ taste. If you are not into seafood, fret not as they also have a LOT of food choices to choose from ranging from western foods, Italian, Malay, oriental and even Japanese food.

Nice place to taste variety of foods. The place is crowded with so many people which make the dining experience happening. Easy acces within tables make the traffic inside the restaurant run smoothly. They even provide you sanitizing wipes which is very needed by everyone not only to get rid of the food smell from your hand but to keep you clean too especially during pandemic.

We went to their seafood buffet and it was incredible. They had a wide variety of choices from Asian food to international cuisine. There seafood is what I look for - oysters, crabs, lobsters, prawns, crayfish. Other than the lobsters, which were not fresh, the rest were tasty. I made a couple of servings of it just for this reason. As for desserts, they had an amazing selection, including durian cake that I thoroughly enjoyed. It is definitely worth the price and highly recommended!

Dinner buffet not worth it. Better spend on ala carte restaurant ya. I’d say the dish quality would worth around the range of RM30-50 meal? If you insist on going, then at least get yourself a table at the lobby/lounge area instead of the canteen like restaurant area.

Visited their dinner buffet on a weekday, it was nearly full house. So better make reservation before you come. There were a variety of Western, Italian, Indian, Japanese, Chinese cuisine and salad bar. They served alot of seafood including oysters, scallops, crabs, lobsters, prawns and sashimi. It's fresh but taste abit bland. The Chinese fried prawns and herbal soup were delicious. There were different choices of cakes including durian and mango cakes, but they won't provide any refill for the same flavour if the cake has finished. There was a chocolate fountain for marshmallow and fruits as well. Selection for beverages were limited. Overall it's a good experience dining in Lemon Garden.

Environment was kinda cramped but it's okay. The food needs improvement for such a prestigious 5 star hotel. We went at 12pm on the Saturday. The oysters didn't look too fresh for the 1st few batch, they were debris in on the oysters as well. Pan seared salmon was overcooked. Roast duck was okay but needed a dipping sauce. Dessert section was really small & quite a let down compared to other 5 star hotels in KL. What I like about the buffet is the double boiled soup, kerabu mango. Overall kinda underwhelming buffet spread not worth a second visit.

Quality has dropped abit. When we arrived, the person at the front wasn’t there and was tending to other customers with his back facing the entrance. So he definitely wouldn’t know if anyone was waiting there. Happened to other customers too while we were eating. Certain food were cold, fried rice dried up abit like it’s been left there awhile. Understandable since there weren’t too many people to have a faster turnaround. But maybe can maybe think of a better way of preserving the freshness of certain foods. Overall was still okay, but since it’s pricier now, i would say it isn’t worth the buck anymore. My favourites were the salad bars, western and double boiled soups from the chinese section.

First time back after 20+ years. Tables are now placed very close to each other, so we opted for another table. Alas, not a wise decision cos we were near a very big and noisy birthday group. Not what you'd expect in a 5 star hotel coffee house. Food wise, I personally didn't think it was worth RM198 per pax. There were Penang hawker food, Indian, Chinese, western and Japanese. And desserts, all not that many choices either. Used to love the buffet here, but after this experience, that's no longer.

It's famous for its seafood. There are different sections of food starting with dessert, drinks, bread & cheese, pizza & pasta, the salads section, the western sections, there's seafood, indian, japanese and chinese cuisine (dimsum, noodles and soups). To be honest, there isn't much choice after you've been there for more than two times, the food was okay, the atmosphere is great. There's a lot of variety to choose from since it's a buffet. People who like to try different stuff would love the place. It always packed and needs booking in advance. I personally pretty like the indian cuisines, the salmon is not bad, the chinese soups is always my first take. I had my first try of oysters over there, and it's pretty decent. It always put a smile on my fave whenever I went to the dessert section because there is a lot to choose from. Dessert lover would be delighted to be there. There are drinks like juice or either coffee to choose from. Been there for three or four times, always sat at the lounge and finally last time we get a table for it, much easier to have a meal than sitting on couches. Good for family gatherings like gathering for important festivals and enjoy the food. Might try the noodles next time as realizing I never tried it before, so does the cheese section.

Came for weekdays dinner with a friend. Missed the entrance, so I parked next door. So no info on parking rate at shangri-la. Otherwise many selections of seafood, fresh/steamed/smoked. Most are fresh, but some not so fresh. I love the seafood lasagna, unfortunately they didn't top up once it's finished but change to another dish. My friend love their briyani with fried prawns. Too many dessert with durian theme on that day. The dishes not so sweet, fits my taste. The buffet includes many types of drinks, include fresh juices and coffee machine. Prayer room quite comfortable at B2 floor. Will repeat again for their premium seafood buffet in weekends.
