Friday buffet was so so, nothing to shout about. It is cheaper than jagoya but unfortunately the quality and taste of the food as well as variety are not on the same par. The salmon sashimi and flower crab are pretty tasteless. Unfortunately the standard is not the same anymore compared to the last visit two years ago.

Well, I may have higher expectations on food at Mosaic KL, Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The seafood was superb, tasty and sweet despite flower crab was look so thin which I give up to take it but the choice of food selection was so so. Hopefully have more unique selection soon in future from you.

Honestly worst buffet with Rm199 per pax and they serve food like raw pasta, seriously cold, soggy and tasteless seafood and meat ever . Website picture dose not match with what I have expected . With this price I can get way better buffet anytime with more choice of food and really nice fresh food . We will never come back to this as is the worst experience ever .

Had been dining here for company events over the past decades. Foods and service still good. I recalled a servant would remind us "beware of steps" as we approached near the steps. (safety reminder) This fine time I was thrilled trying the dessert corner. Found the mango pate was flavorful with sourish. Strawberry marshmallow attracted me too. Keep up the great service and food in par always.

Service was fantastic. The appetisers & Indian sections were superb as usual. Had a few nice desserts, some too sweet to our taste. They didn’t serve oysters the day we went. Sad because we wanted to go for the fresh oysters :(

Used to be one of my favorite buffet lunch. But it’s not worth to come anymore as they have reduced lots of dessert. And no more lobster for Sunday buffet. They served you tau fu today. 😠

Nice environment and very good service, staff have good attitude and very attentive. The food options seems to be a lot but the type of food selection available can be improved. Seafood selection can be improve, some aren’t fresh enough. There are sand like particles in the oyster.

My review is accurate as in 20221224. (I mean thing change as time go by) So far the best buffet I ever eat and I eaten quite a lot 5star hotel thanks to company dinner. Well probably cos I go early and manage to grab premium lobster with egg. My tips, go early and enter the moment it open at 6pm. That whole lobster with egg have limited number per days.

Came here for Christmas Eve buffet dinner, and we were not disappointed. The oysters and lobsters were so fresh as were the prawns. The sashimi was fresh and the Indian counter was on fire. All the dishes were superlatively great and the ghulab jamun was the best I have ever tasted. The roast counter was great too especially the Beef Wellington and roast lamb. The cheese variety was adequate and of high quality with apricots, crackers walnuts and cranberries to go with the cheeses. 😋 The capuccino was a great round off with creme brulee and various cookies, macaroons and marshmallows. 👍

1 stars ⭐️ only for their Ramadhan buffet. Firstly it is very expensive for rm238 per pax. I was told it will be rm188 on May. Anyway I was having the rm238. And I ordered for 50 pax over the 3 weeks. Secondly food served doesn’t taste right like how they did last time. I had buffet here before but definitely not the same. The curry lasts a is awful 😣. The prawns 🦐 they serve are rotten!!! So disappointed 😢 Thirdly the Buffet spread is so minimal comparing to those days. I am not sure it is due to Ramadhan or COVID. They used to serve multiple cuisine in the spread but now I would say this is another disappointment. Fourthly, they never refill all the spread after 1 round. Even for the fruits. Very disappointed .... If it is due to COVID and they have to limit the spread then why would they charge higher price? I hope the management see this and improve.

Been to a few 5 Star Hotel Buffet but not many can beat Mosaic. This one will have a place in my heart. The Spread is not as big as you may find at other hotels out there but the food was thoughtfully made. Service crew was attentive and helpful. I enjoyed everything! It's worth every penny

Came here for a staycation during Ramadan, in the middle of the Covid pandemic. The buffet price was eye watering, but the spread... Goodness, what a spread! I have come to the conclusion that while you cannot possibly eat everything that was on offer, you could at least salivate at them. Everything I tried except for the lemang (why have lemang, you ask? I don't know, it was there!) was excellent. It's almost like the chefs sat there and thought, "how do we make the most awesome (mee goreng mamak| gulai kawah| kambing golek| creme brule| etc) in the world and charge the incoming punters an arm and a leg for those dishes?" and then went ahead and chefed them into existence. Bravo, chefs! Bravo! The sugar cane drink wasn't so great, though. Aldo, Milo not so good.

Nice various quality food available and wide range of choices! However, there aren't many seats and you'd have to wait a little especiallu between 8 to 9.30AM. Friendly staffs, super quick in taking away your dishes (not sure if it's because they're told to do so or if it's because they want you to eat fast and leave for the others lol). Overall, it's really nice. I think it was somewhere around RM120-130 per person for a walk-in breakfast which isn't too bad in my opinion!

Overall a buffet is good for larger groups when gathering. However, there's only so much one can eat. The spread is huge and it gets a bit boring getting your own food 😂.

Thank you very much to the Team (front service to kitchen) for the lovely dinner we had with Mosaic, KL. Food are up to expectation, fresh and well prepare. The excellent service exceed our expectation. Especially the 6 stars standard service impressed my lovely family and myself. Extra credit for Mr. Pradeep and Mr. Sipon who gave us a very delightful experience here <3

I came here with my brother for a birthday lunch buffet and it was one of the wisest decisions I've ever made. Upon arrival, I was guided to my table and I'm so happy they placed me at the window cushion seating area. Food spread was great and very presentable. Love all the selections of the food offered. There's Japanese, Malay, Chinese, Indian, Western etc I was told the Creme Brulee dessert here is a must try and fortunately, it was as good as it was rumoured to be ☺️ All of the servers are great in providing the services and I would also love to extend my utmost gratitude to one of the servers named Piyash, for being super attentive with my dining experience without me seeking for additional request such as napkins, and hand wash (for seafood). He also asked if everything is okay and if I would like anything else. As a customer, I feel appreciated and attended to. Thank you so much for the lovely dining experience. I would definitely come again some day to try out the dinner spread instead 😊

Great service and environment. The food tasted delicious too... Everything is very nice except for the texture of the flower crab... Dessert selection is great with many varieties... Complimentary birthday dessert was given with a nice live birthday song by the managers... It will be great if there's lobster or other crab meals...

The staff was really friendly and attentive each and every need. The food was great but most of it is spicy if you don't mind eating spicy than you come here. The typical hotel buffet price is quite worth it. Overall great place for a meal.

Had the lunch buffet here. Food is tasty for a buffet plus it has a decent selection. This is my second time here. Service though has deteriorated. Staff were not attentive and definitely need a refresher course in hospitality and training on their drink offerings.

I’ve ordered Caesar salad, pan seated salmon, and a club sandwich for dinner to share. All dishes were served in a generous portion and tasted within normal expectations of each dish, but at a high price point, I can’t help but wonder what is the speciality of the restaurant. While they claim to be an upscale restaurant, it is not luxurious despite the location, and it’s definitely not creative nor at the very least memorable in my opinion. With the rise of many independent restaurants in town, it’s no longer safe to assume that a diner in an international hotel chain will guarantee high quality, unique dining experiences. This place may not be for me but that’s not to say there is nothing pleasant about my dining experience at Mosaic— The attentive, warm hospitality from the supervisor and the quiet atmosphere were the two things I was grateful for that night. I do recommend this place for a quiet weekday date night to those who prioritise atmosphere over taste.

Service was awesome once we starts stepping into Mosaic. The friendly greetings by all staffs really make our dinner meaningful. Foods selection was great. Satay is superb, sashimi’s fresh, beef wellington yummy and the lists can go on and on. Special thanks to Chef Zuber Affendy and the team. You guys are Rock. Looking forward to return again to Mosaic in October 2023 for our full family dinner once our the young man back from New Zealand.

We had our family lunch here to celebrate my wife's 47th birthday...and as usual, the buffet selection at the Mosaic, Mandarin Oriental never disappoints us. Even though two of us had to carry out our online meetings in between meals, that never stopped us from enjoying the sumptious spread!! Mr Firdaus the Manager was so ever accomodating to arrange for the complimentary birthday cake, along with a birthday shoutout by the staffs, to include a surprise element to the birthday celebration..We also had Eidlan with us, with a thoughtful birthday present for his Pah Mummy...we all had such a blast of a celebration!!!🎂🍰🧁💫🎉🎊🥳🥳🥳

Love the layout of the food counters and the seating arrangement. It is very comfy and private. Good food selection and well prepared. You must decide what you want to have as if you wants to try a bit of everything, it is not really possible without you losing a belt button or two.

One of the best buffet breakfasts I've had so far. Situated just next to KLCC, the view overlooking KLCC park was just amazingggg. Enjoying the peaceful serene park view in the morning is such a bliss. The buffet spread itself is huge with plenty of varieties from Western, Malay, Indian, Chinese to even Japanese and Mediterranean. Everything looks so mouth watering and it is indeed as good as it tastes! I highly recommend to go for the smoked salmon, very fresh and especially enhanced with capers. The yogurt and muesli was also delicious, as are the sausages and cured beef. Eggs station is no stranger to buffets, but the eggs here are legit. Most places probably dilute the egg mixture, but here you can tell those are solid whole eggs used in there. The Malay and Indian selections are decent, though the sambal was too sweet and not spicy enough, lacking the kick for me. The rows of pastries are extremely tempting but my stomach could only handle so much. Service was excellent as well, and I cannot recommend this place more.

Lovely buffet It's really hard to miss this iconic, long standing and popular 5-star hotel in the heart of Kuala Lumpur... right next to KLCC. Mosaic is Mandarin Oriental KL's all-day dining restaurant which serves both local and international cuisines in buffet setting. We were member of the hotel and entitled for a free buffet dinner for two (2) pax at Mosaic plus a bottle of house wine by using our existing vouchers. First thing first - I am not a buffet person in general, as I am not into the idea of paying to eat to your heart's content. And I am one of those who tend to overeat so I will avoid buffet if possible. However I made exception since it was free (I'd paid for it anyway 😂) and the close to 2 hours spent there was very well worth it. The selection was extensive - as a matter of fact I was spoilt with choices. I settled for some fresh sashimi, satay, lamb rack, roast leg of lamb, baked oysters and some seafoods. The Lindeman's Premier Selection Chardonnay proved itself by pairing well with our food. It is truly MO's standard to upheld the quality of their food as well as the service in line with their reputation. And yes, I probably stuffed myself too much in the end.

The food tastes good except the freshness of seafood needs improvement. If the restaurant can serve more variety of seafood it will be better. The restaurant will provide new dishes when the food is finished. The staff was very nice with the good atmosphere. Definitely will come again.

Had dinner buffet on Tuesday with friends. Service from Mehdi was impeccable at the table. The Chinese young lady at front desk introduced me different food station when we first entered. Izrinda also provided nice service at the end. Service at Mosaic exceeded expectations but the food spread and quality was another story. Disappointed with the seafood section especially: the crab legs were hollow. However the desserts were the highlight of the buffet dinner.

This is my first time, courtesy of my friend. Actually our first time. I had much expectations from the Hainanese chicken rice but it was quite underwhelming, but that is to my fault because I thought my friends are recommending it for the taste. The plating is quite inconvenient for the chicken rice, especially coming from such price point. The lady hostess at the front is friendly but the food served are quite late (especially the condiments) for the price we’re paying, we probably expected more subtlety in services. All in all, I won’t recommend if you care for your money. There are definitely cheaper and better options out there in Kuala Lumpur but as an adult afflicted with FOMO I probably should’ve proposed somewhere else for my farewell lunch. But if you have the money, nothing is stopping you then. UPDATE: we just double checked, it is Grand Hyatt’s chicken rice. We’re terribly mistaken and 200++ short now 😭😭😭

Foods are above averagely good. But satay doesn't taste good. Too dried for me. The grill station is best. Served me well cooked steaks and lamb chops.😋😋😋🤩😍 Indian crusine station is good. Very tasty curry paste and nasi briyani.😋😋😋😋 I am not a fan of cold seafood. So skipped.😉😉 Desserts is best. Huge variety and most importantly hand-made ice-creams. 🍦🍧🍨❤️❤️ Paid Rm245nett per pax for dinner buffet. Had our company event there.

Dinner options were quite limited. Liked the prawns, salmon, stew beef and dessert. The rest were okay. --------------------------------------- There was quite wide spread of selection for breakfast, not too many but pretty high quality. The pastry/western food selection breads, croissant, yogurt, English breakfast and taste was the best among all. Asian food is relatively less, u can find nasi lemak, some Indian cuisine here. The Chinese dim sum and pau was the worst as they taste like frozen food, hopefully the the restaurant could improve on this. Service was superb, waitress was friendly and helpful, overall great experience.

A nice buffe with a bit of quality issues here and there. With that I mean that the Indian courses are outclassing the others! But there is so many things to test so you will surely be very happy regardless. Great selection of dishes. Went during puasa month. Food is average. They have free flow of seafood like crab, oyster and prawn as well as coconut. The coconut doesn't seem that fresh. Great service. Not much of a view but could see part of the KLCC fountain if stand outside. Great ambience. The food caters towards the month's season and festival.

MUCH OF THE FOOD TASTED OLD, UNAUTHENTIC OR JUST NOT THAT GOOD! As the place didn't seem to be busy the food probably was not rotated and replenished and as such tasted old. The Chicken dishes were tough as we're some of the fish ones. The Indian food was of very poor quality and was very bland for Indian food with the exception of the fish curry. The naan bread was hard even though it at least was made fresh. The chicken shawarma had chicken wrapped in a hardened bread? Never heard of such? Salad was good though as we're the fruits. Can't comment on the seafood as I don't like cold seafood so didn't eat it. The service was very good but food of this quality is unacceptable from such an iconic hotel brand with great resources. I would never go there again. They need to find a way of shifting and then replenishing old food even if it's offering guests a free meal! Even the Tom Yum soup was nowhere near as good as anywhere else I've had it! One or two desserts were good the rest that I tried either didn't taste good or tasted a little stale. The coffee at the end of the meal was good so at least I left with that.

The basics are all there including the soups and salads and the sushi and sashimis. There's a Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western section. There's a small mezze selection along with cheeses with crackers with the works. Dessert selection is limited but some of the desserts are top notch. The setting and ambience is cozy and comfy tho. Date of visit: September, 2019. Our time of visit: International dinner buffet for two with my wife. Pros: 1. Very good selection of food available from western food to Chinese, Indian, Oriental and local food as well as sweets and condiments. 2. Noodle station is a good and the staff was awesome! 3. Lots of tables available, you won't worry about the restaurant of getting full. 4. The staffs serve us at lightning speed, and also very friendly. 5. Food taste overall 9 out of 10! 6. Very elegant atmosphere and great ambience. Not so many diners around so we had our dinner comfortably and in a romantic mood. Cons: None. Summary: Will be coming back again for more!

After 2 years of being couped up, buffet is like heaven. Dessert is err icing on the cake. Pun intended.

Limited choice. Food quality control. Satay is juicy. Not worth the value as limited choices

Buffet with a good variety. Best items are fresh shrimps. Rest of the food so so. Good variety of desserts though.

Dinner buffet on 6/1/2022. Spread of food was little. No value for money for expensive price. The best food was oysters and the bun with butter spread. The taste was 3/5 which is ok.
