Ganga Café is an iconic restaurant in Bangsar. I’m sure most of Klang Valley residents have heard of it from someone who loved their food! 🥰 Comfort vegetarian food! 🤩 I won’t even suggest what to order, as everything there is super delicious! Better go hungry and order the whole menu! 😆

By far the best Vegetarian Indian restaurant that we have visited. Food is hot and flavorful. Requested for no onion and garlic and they gladly provided. Definitely a must go-to restaurant!

Tucked in a secluded area in Lorong Kurau, this place is a must-go for vegetarian food lovers. The menu has extensive vegetarian and vegan options. From the time we walked in, the customer service was amazing, although the place was packed. Service was quick and the food was really tasty. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, so plan ahead during busy times.

Eating in Ganga Cafe reminds of the time I had one of my earliest Indian meals in KL, in Chat Masala (still one of my favourite Indian joints). It is a revelation. There is a taste unique in the chaat that I'm not used to, but after a short while really loved - it is such a fun dish to eat. I had one of the best samosas I've had in living memory and an awesome aloo gobi, not overflavoured and cauliflowers that crumble in your mouth. The food also defeated me as I can't finish what I ordered. We took the food home and it tastes just as good the next day. The service was second to none. The waiter gave us a free lentil soup to try, and that too was delicious. Bottom line: I can't wait for my next meal here.

Bustling Indian lunch cafe that's both economical and gastronomical! Pleasant staff serving some real Indian dosh and drinks. Pricing is quite reasonable, with a good thali going for 10-12. That's on par with their fancy fruit drinks! Good vibes with lively, modern decor. Seating space is a little close for comfort, but overall relatively hygienic and mighty tasty.

If you are a vegetarian, you must try out this place! Even if you are not one, try it out too! Serves so many Indian vegetarian option, which means they are all full of flavours. Everything we ordered was so good! Even the fried cauliflower. Highly recommend. However, if you’re not familiar with Indian food, it is very useful to bring along a friend who knows Indian food or ask the staff about what each items on the menu means. The menu design was super crowded with text and images competing with each other, I was super clueless on what to order, but luckily I had a friend who ordered for us instead.

This is our first visit here, tho I’ve heard & read about this place in a couple of occasions.. Drinks came in quite early..masala tea & ginger tea were as expected.. Paani poori is good, as in okay.. added fillings could perhaps make some diff😊 plus a pinch of salt.. Veg platter … lacked garnishing and surprisingly it took quite some time to arrive, yet none of the veg were hot…just spicy…plating can be improved 😉. Overall the place seems to be crowded, attracting all walks of folks.

Ganga has always been one of our favourite places back home. Anytime we crave for Indian food, we just have to walk about 600mts to Lorong Kurau (in Bangsar ofcourse) to find this place that serves humble yet delicious home style North Indian food. And this place is a pure veg restaurant 🌱. (Also our pick when we want to order cus too lazy to cook, but eat “healthy food” 😋). We always order chaat specially the vada pav and channa samosa. The parathas, rotis and Indian curries are to die for. Do try the kulfi as well!

I'd say this again and again: the best Indian vegetarian restaurant in KL! Everything served here is bursting with flavor. Nothing is compromised. Guilt free but equally feels as guilty. Randomly pick anything here, and you'd be blown away. Staff here are super friendly and funny! Great service crew, keep it up.

There's no way to deny the charm of this humble vegetarian restaurant, along with the burst of flavor of the food (at least the one pictured here) but you just got to be patient about it. It is usual to have the food served at different time and I don't quite get the system yet. You may feel upset to see some tables being served ahead of yours, despite you reached earlier than them. When the food is finally on your table and you have the mouthful of the cottage cheese curry and you suddenly reached the peace in your heart and you will have forgiveness. Notes ahead: Do not bring your parents who are going to take their train in the afternoon here for the early lunch.

A variety of Indian vegetarian food options with a touch of local flavours. I like the cafe concept with a home like feel. And the owners are very hospitable. The only thing about this place is limited parking. The housing area is such and you cant blame them for that. Will surely come back for the finger licking panipoori and the vegetarian nasi lemak. I’ve found my new go-to Indian restaurant. Tucked into the row of restaurants on the cozy back street of Lorong Kurau is the delightful vegetarian gem, The Ganga Café. Though this restaurant was a new find for me. But the new attractions on their menu brought new standards, while we were at it. The changes go beyond just additions to the menu. The space itself has been renovated, and the restaurant now has a more contemporary feel to it, with its clean, simple décor. The owners, Meeta and Prabodh, could not have been more welcoming, and it was clear from the moment we sat down to chat how much pride they take in their work and their dedication to providing healthy food that doesn’t skimp on taste. With their garden just behind the restaurant supplying many of the ingredients for their dishes, they are taking ‘local and organic’ to the next level. And the health benefits in their food don’t just come from the freshness of their ingredients (though that is a big part of it). They are also careful to balance the ingredients – not to let any of the fermented dishes ferment for too long, and not to go overboard with any of the spices so that the flavors mix well and complement each other instead of doing battle. As Prabodh puts it, “There is no reason to sacrifice flavor in the process of creating healthy meals.” And I will vouch for the fact that absolutely no flavor was sacrificed in the making of these meals. Every dish was tasty, and the variety was impressive.

An interesting experience. I enjoyed myself tremendously. If many of you are driving, it's best to carpool. Ps - there are more seats inside. Also, some food items are prepared faster than others, once you've come here a few times, you'll know which items are best to be ordered first and which to order later so you'll get all your food at the same time 😁👍 and its always well worth the wait. Preciously authentic food. Delicious.

Came here purely to try the paani poori, ended up enjoying more than that! Both of the paani poori types were so delicious that we finished it within 2 minutes. The other dishes were amazing as well (especially the pumpkin vegetable bowl)! & service was remarkable as we were served by Hardik & other servers too. Definitely coming back as a regular :)

Wow! This may be one of my best service experiences. Waiter talked to us, gave us reasonable recommendations for food and drink, explained the food while we are. Lovely experience. The food is reasonably priced, and you can get away with anywhere between 15-40 per person depending on how you order. But to fully enjoy this place, I suggest you go with around 40/per person. Get at least four to five dishes and indulge. Loved the food!

Vegetarian Indian at its best. Good prices. Good food. Good service. Only problem was that it's quite tight over there. Small-medium sized shop. Also, a little bit warm, as it's an open door type of shop. Will go again.

An amazing experience both times I have been so far. The staff are attentive, friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were suggested some recommendations from the owner and were blown away. I am not vegetarian but absolutely love the authenticity of these dishes, the flavour, the colours, the presentation, and the whole atmosphere in general. And the Pranic juice is highly highly recommended! Will definitely go again!

Tasty, healthy and vegetarian friendly food. Hidden within the residential neighborhood is Ganga Cafe where healthy meets tasty Indian style with cozy outdoor and inside dining experience. Away from the bustling shops and noise, this is the place to have great conversation with tasty food served by friendly and warm waiters. A different dining awaits you. Not for the meat lovers though. I love meats but still find it very enjoyable here.

As a regular I've always appreciated the yummy food from Ganga over the last 5 years. I have to reduce my rating however because since MCO started in Mar 2020 and every other time I've been, the manager was often not wearing a mask and the team didn't enforce people taking food away while waiting outside the restaurant to wear masks as well. Attached a sample pic (faces and number plates have been censored) of a couple today who were taking away food; the woman did not even make a move to wear a mask at all despite being near the entrance and other diners. I highlighted it to the staff who didn't understand or just looked uncomfortable about confronting anyone. It's not personal, but we should all do our part to reduce the cases nationwide. As someone who'd just finished eating at Ganga and needing to walk around maskless visitors on my way out of the cafe, it was very uncomfortable for me and I didn't feel like Ganga's staff was looking out for our health and safety, neither were they taking the necessary steps to safeguard themselves. The manager, while always friendly and decent to me, again did not wear a mask while talking to me <2m away until I pointed it out as I was paying, and later pulled down his mask again. What makes it so difficult to continue keeping our masks on? All it takes is a few seconds for us to contribute to the virus spreading. It wasn't the first time I've highlighted this too. I'm very disappointed as I've been a huge fan of Ganga for many years, but I won't be patronising somewhere I don't feel safe at where our health and safety isn't the priority during these times. I wish the team well and that hopefully you'll enforce the SOPs the government has set in place for your staff and patrons.

Lip smacking vegetarian food. I always buy their pickles and indian chakklees to take home. Got sonpapdi for diwali. Their menu is really delicious. Only thing not good is the Pao Bhajji which tbh sucks across Malaysia. Else all is fresh and yummy.

I had bad experience with this place both the times I tried. First time: I ordered a meal at house, Firstly the curries were all over the place and they were so oily and tasted really bad that I had to throw all of them away and make something else at home again. Second time: To give it another chance I opted for dine in this time and It turned out as bad as the first time. Tea was not hot at all and taste was really bad. samosa chat was filled with curd which was so sour. Chole bature was oily and the chole was given for name sake . The quantity sucked. Again the curd was so sour that i had to leave it untouched. Would not recommend this place for good food and ambience. Such a mood off.

Twice a month, when it's the 1st and 15th day of the lunar calendar, my mom would encourage me to turn vegetarian for a day. When those days fell on weekdays and I was at the office, it can be a challenge to look for vegetarian meals. Fortunately, I work near Bangsar where there are a number of super vegetarian restaurants and this is one of them. My colleagues from India rave about their food many times and I would have to agree. I am hardly an expert when it comes to the menu here but so far, everything I have tried taste amazing. Hopefully, when we can return to work in office, I would get the opportunity to lunch here again.

Northern Indian vegetarian dishes cooked like it's from AMA's kitchen with a variety to choose from. Always flavourful and delights even the fullest pallet. The service here is tip top too which puts alot of eateries to shame. Love how they open up the back to allow wind to flow through creating a natural wind tunnel and saving energy on fan and sir conditioning. Price is worth the eats. Highly recommended!

After reading so much raved reviews about this lil vegetarian place, we finally found a chance to visit. We had quite a lil feast for 2, and it was true to every positive review, the food was just simply FANTASTIC. We shared pani poori, ganga aloo chaat, gobi pakora, rava and masala thosai, as well as mango and avocado lassi. Their dishes were delightful, especially the pani poori - every bite an explosion of flavours and great texture! Masala thosai was v tasty as well, with scrumptious potato filling. I am SUPER excited to go back and try out more deliciousness!

Food is good but it's very expensive. We went for lunch and I feel like it's not worth for money. Funny thing is the lime juice cost RM7.50🙃 here but you will get good quality and quantity as less as RM1.50 in other restaurants and outside. This is just one example. Some of the items prices is okay but most of the item prices is very expensive. They have restructure or revise their menu.

Best Vegetarian restaurant in Bangsar. A must even for non-vegetarian. If you are a vegetarian, then the nasi lemak with mock meat is a must try. The dishes are authentic and tantalising. The food here is amazing. Everything on the menu is worth trying for sure. But for me, my favourite would be Ganga Aloo Chaat. Its like a super flavourful snack dish. The staff are very friendly and welcoming as well. The only down side is that parking can sometimes be hard to find during peak hours, but the food is definitely worth the trouble.

Served by our friendly staff, Rana when we arrived. We ordered a hearty meal that consists of pani puri (one with mint soup and one with yogurt) for starter. Their biryani rice is a must order. It is super fragrant and full of taste. We went for a vegetarian mutton add on as this is their signature in store. Plain palak and butter marsala potato goes super well with the rice. Must order their homemade paneer !!

Ganga is a hidden gem tucked in a small neighbourhood in Bangsar, giving it a mysterious vibe dining there. As first timer, the lady boss, I suppose, warmly taught us the way of eating - advising us to grab a plate and eat everything (what a very concise and precise advice). We then found the food good in quality and perfect in flavour, even for my girlfriend who is more of a carnivore. The only downside is that food wasn't topped up quickly enough so we could only eat the same dish over and over again. Anyway, it's a highly recommended place for authentic Indian cuisines and I'll be back!

I was there just to try their vada pav n pani puri so i can tell much about their main foods. The place is in a housing area. And there are not many parking area in that place.you can either park in front of ppl's house and start a fight, or park faraway and walk a good 5 minutes to the shop. I chose the latter. The shop is small.. and there are few tables inside (8 if i recall correctly). I had to wait at least 15 minutes to get my order (which was ok, since they prepare food on the spot and not prepared earlier like most kitchens). The price was ok. They have service tax though( not sure why i was subjected to one when i was having takeway). Anyway, the panipuri was not as i expected. The sauce's spiciness was on a higher note. It should have an equal amount of sweet, sour and spiciness. And the pani puris filling was just ok. The vada pav was actually nice, especially their chutney. However the patty was too thick and the chutney spread was not enough.. i would suggest a smaller patty which is smothered with thicker chutney.. or at least they should ask customers their prefs before making one.. i saw a lot of good review on their bulletin board (wall area designated for newspaper clippings about ganga) which shows that their food is good. I would have came back again, but because of the scarcity in parking, this will be my last visit there..

The onion naan was tasty; the crispy roti canai needs getting used to; the samosa filling was great. I enjoyed the dhall curry. The honey, ginger, mint drink is a must try. Loved the plants in front of the shop.

A rare vegetarian indian restaurant in KL and i think their food was pretty nice. We tried tosai ragi and tosai masala served with tasty sauce. 🍽 We tried special Chai which was a milk tea smoother than local teh tarik. Feel relaxing ☘ to sit outisde looking at the greenery in the morning hour.

Healthy yet delicious food and good service, and most dishes can be made vegan. I come here regularly, and some of my favorites are the samosas, masala tosai, and sizzling platter. Their healthy juices are incredibly delicious and incorporate a lot of flavor and spice together with fresh vegetables and fruits.

We love the food at Ganga—from the palak paneer, thali to the beetroot thosai, 💯 perfection especially from the Bangsar outlet. (We ordered via Grabfood from the Seapark outlet once and felt the taste wasn’t as great as the Bangsar one). Taste and flavours aside, the 2 stars and why we are sometimes RELUCTANT to takeout or dine-in (when we could), is because the server or manager (the bald one) has always made us ladies felt very uncomfortable. When we dined in at Ganga after yoga class, my lady friends would always comment how his gaze made them feel uncomfortable - and this was on numerous occasions. We actually had a more pleasant dining experience when he wasn’t in. Yesterday, with MCO, we went to self pick-up, my other lady friend (who has never been to Ganga) was in knee length shorts and a sleeveless T-shirt and felt really uncomfortable ordering. She ordered and stood beside at Barat. When I asked why was she standing so far away, she mentioned her feeling of discomfort standing in front of Ganga with him looking at her, and that she felt he had taken out his phone and might have taken her picture. I hope the Management is aware and able to take corrective actions. I’m speaking up now because it has been one too many times for this to be a coincidence with so many ladies feeling this discomfort. And I’m pretty sure we’re not the only ones feeling this intrusion.

Amazing food but unfortunately cannot recommend it during this pandemic. Staff have no respect for customers as they do not bother to wear a mask to keep customers safe. It looked ok when we first entered and within 10 mins the guy making drinks took his off and the cashier as well. Then there were maintenance staff working on the AC right next to customers and they also did not have their masks on. Extremely disappointing. we won't head back anytime soon. P.s. I saw someone else commented about this 2 months ago and looks like still no improvement to staff SOP. Absolutely cannot support a place that doesn't take this seriously. I don't wish to be part of a new cluster.

The vegetarian options they offer here are great. The paneer curry I tried was tasty and good value. The size of the mango lassi was well worth the price, and it wasn't too sweet. I wish all vegetarian food was this good and 'soulful'. The atmosphere is homey, simple. It's nice. I recommend anyone, meat eater or not, to try the food. But I know for sure that I will be back soon to try the rest of the menu.

One of my favourite Indian restaurant in Kuala Lumpur and it's a heaven for vegan & vegetarian people. The food is fresh and tasty, we really love their Tandoori Platter, Sizzler. They have a great range of Indian sweets and snacks as well.

We ordered the veg briyani, the vegetables platter, and the standard thali. The briyani was oily, and the platter was okay. The only thing that was delicious was the thepla bread. The ice cream was good, but the masala tea was not. All other dishes were mediocre.  It was quite disappointing as we have read great reviews about this place, but it didn't really meet our expectations.

The food no doubt is superb! They made the Puri tasted so good, eat with the potato puree is the best👍 the Chana Bhatura was great too! My Fiancée and I particularly loved the Garlic Cheese Naan and the Paneer Tikka Masala. It was another experience of enjoying Indian Food. Just one thing, the food here is crazily overpriced. And it took quite long for our food to arrive (almost 30 mins), and they served other customers who arrived much later than us. Hence we have to confront them only then our food is served.

Wonderful vegetarian restaurant hidden within the neighbourhood area but not unknown of either. Crowded & some were waiting for table during peak hours. Food variety & quality is top notch. We had a few individual dishes & were pleased with it. Although the brewed coffee (bru coffee) was quite milky. They do not have filter coffee - what a shame! Besides, we felt the fruit juicer at the front was very annoying when we are trying to have a conversation - pls see into this & a better way to place the juicer elsewhere to reduce sound. Will come back to this place in future.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ganga Cafe, a fantastic vegetarian restaurant. The overall experience was truly enjoyable. We ordered their renowned Chole Bhature, which was not only delicious but also a great vegetarian option. The flavors were outstanding, although the prices were a bit higher. Nonetheless, Ganga Cafe is a must-visit for vegetarians seeking a delightful culinary experience.

Brought my sisters here to have an early dinner and it was their first time and they were happy and mindblown by the flavors of the food! We had: - pani poori (must have appetizer) - palak paneer (my personal fave) - hyderabad briyani (my other must have mains) - gobi manchourian - mushroom mutton curry - aloo gobi - mee goreng basah (new food i tried today) All are amazing, the food mix was worth it here

We had an amazing lunch at Ganga. The food was spiced really well and everything taste great. It wasn’t too spicy but well seasoned. Our favourites were the palak paneer and pana puri. One of the best vegetarian places we had experienced. Also was served by the friendly staff, Rana!

What a lovely lunch! Loved the Rava dosa and Hyderabad Biryani. Didn’t even have to add on vegetarian meat and yet the biryani with mixed veggies was already packed with so much flavor. Prices are reasonable too. Would come back again to try other delights including crispy samosa but with consideration for limited parking space.

We had an amazing meal at The Ganga Café. The food was delicious, had lots of flavour and wasn’t too spicy! The staff were very friendly and the service was fast. They were also very accommodating for my gluten free and dairy free diet. Gluten free is marked on the menu and they took time to show me what I could have that didn’t contain dairy so I felt confident in what I was eating. Would definitely recommend!
