The breakfasts buffets here were just your normal hotel buffet. The room service meals were a bit overpriced and not that great, especially the satay - don't order this IMO! You'll pay 52MYR (approx.) for 6 satay and it arrives cold and not that tasty. The big buffet they do for dinner also isn't worth the money. They hype it up with all the seafood, however the seafood doesn't taste fresh and in some cases was pretty tasteless, especially the scallops. It is also a mad rush with everyone crowding in to try and get the best bits and they run out of things. Some of the other dishes made up for it all (roast beef, baked stingray, sashimi). IMO its worth the trip to a market or another close by restaurant to get a better quality meal for a cheaper price. The buffet cost 149MYR per person.

All days dining venue located at 5th floor of Traders Hotel KLCC. Nice ambience but foods selections quite limited and ways overpriced.

❌Does not match 😢. Beautiful hotel rooms, nice facilities, nice wine beer buffet for clubhouse guest but the breakfast is so average. Not much varieties and it is really so so. The design seems old fashion. Dark interior. Very simple breakfast buffet. I prefer to walk across to KLCC to get my breakfast for a cheaper more variety breakfast. Traders hotel MUST improve in providing nicer and more variety of food to guest. I’m quite disappointed.

Bucked Out Seafood Market buffet dinner at Gobo Chit-Chat Traders Hotel KL on every Fri & Sat is really worth the money. Only RM149 per person, you can eat plenty type of seafood ... fresh and some are still alive.

7 Feb - Price per pax is RM188nett (I only found out after dining that the usual price is RM168nett). The price hike is due to CNY which will last till 16 Feb 2020. This taught me a lesson to enquire about pricing discrepancies during festive season as the receptionist will not be so kind to tell you WE DO HAVE DIFFERENT PRICING ON XX date onward. The ambience was fine but the AC was bad. The restaurant only have 3-4 tables occupied (approximately 20 pax) and I can't feel the AC. I did not highlight much as the main focus should be on the food. Overall the seafood is fresh and we think the crab is best cooked with steam method as the salted egg needed more improvement. The chilly crab gravy nothing too fancy and the fried mantau only given extra when request (i,e, 2 crabs only comes with 2 mini mantau) . There is also yee sang corner for patrons to create their own. The crackers were running out fast. There is also sashimi (salmon, tuna, ) and sushi - nothing too fancy. The general buffet dishes are mostly salty/heavier taste buds. The dessert on that night was pear dessert (too sugary taste) and the bubur cha cha was so bad (too thick). Durian crepe is good. Fried nian gao was average. There's ice cream too but nothing too fancy. The lamb was so average for the price of the buffet per head. Iced/warm water is FOC and located at the far end corner. And when we request to have small jug/urn for iced water, the staffs mentioned we don't supply. Suggestion:- Perhaps the staff who's cleaning the plates/cutlery can hold a jug and refill water for guests? I bet is not too much to ask for. Billing - I am using voucher and my spouse will be paying per head price. When I present my Golden Circle membership for 20% off, cashier told me that can only accumulate points since one of us is using voucher. I stared at her and then request to separate the bill. Overall experience could be improved from the beginning if guest is informed on the pricing discrepancies and when it comes to billing part if there's option to separate the bill should have just done it automatically WITHOUT guest asking for it. I bet if I am not firm I would not able to enjoy the 20% off.

Came here for a team dinner since we've always been to Lemon Garden and thought we'd give Traders a try. We split the team into two and had two dinners here on separate dates. The first time was a disaster and a bad impression I feel will stick for a long time to come. When we arrived all food items were properly displayed but as more diners arrived, it was clear that they were severely lacking of manpower. I felt a bit bad seeing how hard the kitchen staff were working and everyone seemed to be doing their best while keeping a smile, with one exception - the slightly chubby guy at the sashimi counter. Nik, i believe was the name on his uniform, was throwing a tantrum. As I went back for more sashimi, all plates were empty. It was obvious that he was struggling as he alone had to fill up all the sushi and sashimi. I didn't make any complains but instead just stood there patiently waiting for it to be refilled, only to be told rather rudely to go somewhere else and come back again. I wasn't actually in the mood for any other items but I did move to the oyster section and watched the othe (friendly) guy shuck oysters while waiting so as not to give him too much pressure. 2 minutes later when the sashimi was sliced, the sashimi guy literally CHUCKED the plate on the ice right in front of me and rolled his eyes. He then returned to his chopping board and threw something else around making very loud banging noises and making it clear to anyone and everyone in his vicinity that he was extremely unhappy. It is quite offensive given we have tried to be as understanding as we could and did not blame him for not being able to cope and fill up dishes. I even gave him a smile and told him not to worry when I had to wait for the sashimi but in return, got treated as if our presence was an absolute inconvenience and as if we were beggars waiting to be fed. I actually lost my appetite after this incident. I was tempted to cancel our second team's dinner and change it to another venue but to make it fair for the team we decided to proceed our second dinner at gobo chit-chat all the same. It was much better the second time round as there were less diners on that day. The dessert station and floor staff were super friendly, polite and prompt with service. The same guy was manning the sashimi counter. His mood appeared to have improved from the week before but I was cautious still. No doubt there is a decent variety of seafood offered on their weekend buffet, and the price makes it good value for money especially for golden circle members but the service of one staff was bad enough to deter me from returning again. I wouldn't subject myself to the potential of being at the receiving end of such rude service again. If it weren't for the extremely friendly and helpful staff at the dessert station and the waitstaff clearigng dishes on the floor, I would have probably given this a one star.

Seafood buffet at RM138, the selection is limited. Oyster is the best of all! Service is excellent! Need renovation / upgrading to compete with the rest 5* hotels.

With this kind of price i can consider this one of the worst buffet i ever had for Ramadan special, super low choices of foods. Seadfood are not fresh. And the most ridiculous things you charge children half of adult price but you have zero kind of basic kid foods like fries, nuggets, spaghetti etc

We came here for their seafood buffet. Seafood fresh. But crab was cooked in Malay chili style. We were hoping for butter crab, salted egg crab or bake or steam crab

The worst hotel in KL. The F&B team NEVER EVER replied to my reservation request on WA, email and fb and ruined my festive season's plan. I once gave up and then later all the way walked in to inquire the time availability and on how to make a reservation. On the way back to KLCC station, a buggy driver refused to give me a ride even nobody wanted to use it since I didn't dine despite I kindly explained him how the F&B team treated me badly. They don't know about the hospitality at all! So cold attitude!!
