Nice place to go despite being very crowded due to holiday. I think it's good for kids to learn, have fun and enjoy aquatic life. You can buy a ticket easily purchased online or offline. The most amazing thing is walking under the tunnel where you spot sting ray, sea turtle, shark, grouper, and diver cleaning the water. Overall, again, it was a nice experience to revisit these aquatic friends.

You can Explore and take fun pictures with a variety of other aquatic exhibits. It’s a very good attraction place while in Kuala Lumpur, perfect for families.

Nice aquarium museum in Kuala Lumpur city. Very well maintained aquarium. Nice place to bring our kids, they will like it. We can find many different varieties of fish species here. Aquariums are not that big compared to the ones in Japan and Dubai. We can also take photos from here. There is an area for shopping at the end of the museum. Items are not so costly. I bought a few gift items from here for my nephew's from here at a decent price.

Really cool underwater world! They have a very long tunnel, where you just walk underneath the fish! The feeding show is really impressive and fun to watch. There are so many fish, it's captivating. Total walk with stopping to read, take pictures and enjoy the shows takes about 90 minutes max. Perfect stop for a rainy day! Just remember that it closes at 7pm and last entry is st 6pm

Best to visit over the weekday evenings. Everything is so mesmerizing And try to enjoy each segment patiently. It takes less than a hour if you rush but 2 hours if you spend more time gazing around. The pictures taken in the aquariums photo booth is very expensive, so get your own DSLR or camera with better night mode features.

Recommended for kids to learn and have fun! I suggest to go on weekdays. I went to Aquaria on Monday to avoid crowds, yet there are still numbers of people lined up, but not too crowded and I didn't have to wait much. Cute fishes, but I think quiet small? I expected more sections and more species honestly. But they do have one big tank and one walkaway with fishes swimming above your head. But yeah, not much. However I do enjoy my time there. Recommended for those who wanted to bring their kids here.

If you're a nature (sea) lover, you will sure want to visit this attraction in the heart of KL, you can spend simply 2 to 3 hours here learning many facts about the ocean. It's a good activity to do with your family. Bonus - if you're a burger lover, you must try the FUEL SHACK located just at the eateries outside Aquaria's exit. Ask the staff if you cannot find the restaurant. And there are some downsides, 1. Many exhibits seems forced and cramped into a place. 2. They have a few different themed zones but very limited space. 3. More like a quick tour than take time to immerse and amaze yourself into wonders of oceans. For a better viewing experience, 1. Camera are allowed but flash are not. 2. You are not allowed to tap on the glass. 3. It's best to keep quiet during the visit, the fish don't talk to human. And for the ROI, still worth it.

A MUST VISIT PLACE AT KL! Due to COVID-19, More precaution measure taken. My suggestion before you go there, BOOKING ONLINE... You got RM10 cheaper compare to Onsite cost u RM49 for Adult, RM39 for children. For Front liner, bring your badges... U got discount RM10. Also to those who got MYDIN CARD... you can enjoy 10% discount for 3person.

Ticket can be easily purchased online. Although still need to queue to redeem the ticket, everything was fast. Nothing has changed much from our last visit around 5 years ago. Nevertheless, it was still a good experience for our little princess as she's getting bigger & can understand+enjoy more from the visit. After covid, we can't touch the animals anymore. It's understandable. The visit took us slightly above 1-hour. It's not possible to experience all special shows/activities. So, just walk thru be grateful with whatever you had / will have. We purchase a fridge magnet photo at the 1st photo booth counter for memento. The price is very cheap, if paid in US dollar or UK pound. For others, go cry at the corner with the fish. There a 2nd photo booth, specifically for the 3D animals interaction. Overall, again, it was a nice experience to revisit these aquatic friends. Hope the Management is kind enough to provide someone (or pre-recorded speaker) to tell us some interesting facts along the visit, or anything interactive for the kids, without additional charges.

Went on weekday during school holiday at around 2.30 pm, it was quite crowded but the crowd move quickly so we got a chance to take photos at each exhibit. Bought ticket online (Klook) and hence the waiting time to go in is cut short. It was warm and humid inside and it would be a better experience if the place is cooler. Overall a decent experience, worth visiting once for the kids.

Too crowded weekend. Beautiful fishes Well maintained. Good to bring your family together but not really recommended at this time. There is no SOP inside. Kids running around. People don't care to social distancing. Need extra careful if you bring old folks with you. They are too risky. Weekend price RM45 adult. Weekdays RM39. Children under 3 age, free. There is family package.

Very good place and interesting place for the kids as well for the adults. Very relaxing environment as u can release your tense by looking at the sea creatures swimming around. Need to book in advance and follow the instructions which is need to book the timing slot online as well. However the price for Photo which taken from the staff itself its quite pricey (rm80/perpicture with holder/book). Overall, the experience was great and fantastic.

Had an amazing experience visiting this aquarium. It’s located inside KLCC. It is recommended to book the tickets in advance. Mobile tickets should suffice here. You will be greeted with a photoshoot and then you can spend time seeing variety of fishes. The tunnel experience is something noteworthy which has a moving walkway providing you the best views. Kids will enjoy this a lot

We visited this place on the fourth day our visit to Malaysia and it was really great experience. I have never been to such a place and it looked very interesting to me. For the first time in my life, I saw so many Manta Rays and lot more oceanic creatures from so near distance. Loved it.

A great place to go with family to see the aquatic life. Bought tickets online to avoid congestion during the weekend which is useful as we went on payday. Overall, the visit is pleasant and we enjoyed the place.

    1. Ticket price The ticket price of RM 52/pax may be a bit steep for some visitors, but it is comparable to other major attractions in Kuala Lumpur. Additionally, the cost may be justified by the quality of the exhibits and experiences offered at the aquarium. 2. Worth going especially those with kids The aquarium is a great destination for families, especially those with kids. The exhibits are interactive and engaging, and there are plenty of opportunities for learning about marine life and conservation. 3. Feeding sessions are available The feeding sessions, including the piranha feeding, can be a highlight for visitors. It offers a unique opportunity to see the animals in action and learn more about their behavior. 4. Underwater tunnel The underwater tunnel is a must-see attraction at the aquarium. The close proximity to the underwater creatures, including sharks, can be thrilling for visitors of all ages. In addition to the sharks and piranhas, visitors can also see other big creatures like stingrays and sea turtles. These animals are fascinating to observe and can provide a deeper understanding of the marine ecosystem. 5. Suggestion for management to monitor closely for visitors It's important for the aquarium management to ensure that all visitors are following proper etiquette and not disturbing the marine life. This includes monitoring visitors who may be touching the pond water or splashing it on others. A gentle reminder or more obvious signage could be helpful in this regard. Overall, the Aquarium KLCC is a great destination for families and marine life enthusiasts alike. The quality of the exhibits and experiences offered make it a worthwhile visit.

Really enjoyed this facility. Found it with some difficulty because you have to go into the convention centre. The lift between the floors of the Aquarium was out of action on the day I went, so mobility access would be a problem for wheelchair bound customers. I had help to get down the stairs, after initially telling me I couldn’t have access. For someone who couldn’t negotiate the stairs, a simple solution would be giving them access via the gift shop from the outside elevator.

  • 3/5 Mary-Ann Y. 2 years ago on Google
Didn't think it would be as crowded as it was today. A little disappointed with how ticketing was handled. SOP was set to only be allowed in for selected times by pre- booking to allow limited visitors, but no enforcement was carried out. Was way overcrowded and no social distancing whatsoever. Displays and exhibits are good. A good place to go with the family, especially with kids to enjoy a day out and watch underwater creatures right in the city. Ticket prices are a little high, I feel.

The animals are unique to see. The main tunnel is very beautiful, and there are a lot of habitats you can see. However, the Aquaria is quite small. For me, it was enough 1 hour to see all the aquarium. Maybe if you have children and you also visit the store, then the visit can take up to 2 hrs. I have read in the internet, that there are also feeding shows available, but I haven’t seen any (but it is not because of the aquarium, it was me, who came to visit in the last couple working hours). However, if you want to see the shows, I advice to find out the times in advance

Very nice aquarium inside of the Convention Centre. Wasn’t too crowded when I went (11am weekday) although there was a primary school trip so loads of highly excitable children loving the fish.. was a surprise to see also meerkats and some other non aquatic animals.. Takes about an hour to walk around and see everything.

Aquaria KLCC offers a fascinating aquatic experience, although it leans towards the pricey side for foreigners. The variety of exhibits provides a plethora of captivating sights, with particular highlights being the impressive shark displays and the intriguing presence of Piranhas. Each section is enriched with extensive information about sea creatures, making it an educational journey. Be prepared for a fair amount of walking, but the diverse range of sea life, including fish, lobsters, sea snakes, sea horses, and even preserved animals, makes it a worthwhile adventure for marine enthusiasts.

It’s open again 👍😁 Aquaria KLCC is great place to bring your kids to experience and get to know the animals underwater. Price may seem a bit high but its worth it. There are lots of fish in this aquarium. I recommend to buy your entry tickets online to avoid long queue. Located in center of KL City, accessible also from Suria KLCC. Staffs were helpful and really followed the SOP. Picture print is a bit overpriced. Must see attraction place.

Crowded and not much of attraction. It took me only half an hour to finish the tour inside, not worth it. I don't even see piranhas. But most fishes are familiar with guests, they even swim close for photos.

Awesome experience.. saw the fish feeding.. the fish splash so much the water actually showers on you.. they do tell you to step back but I didn't mind! There's a tunnel through a tank in which you can see turtles, sharks, stingrays and other sea creatures swimming above and around you. It's awesome.

This place is quite similar to Jakarta Aquarium in Indonesia, except it’s smaller. It was our plan B, so I’m not sure if there were any shows there. Glad it wasn’t too crowded when we visited. Staff was very welcoming and the signs were all clear, you wouldn’t get lost.

Went to the aquaria during hari raya, the queue was super long. I bought tickets online, but still have to queue. Recommended to book time slot online, so that you don't have to queue. I like the big tank with the gigantic fish and catfish, and the tunnel especially when the stingrays and sharks swim above the tunnel. It reminds me of animal crossing new horizon museum.

Thought it was a really nice place to visit for a few hours while visiting KL! We bought our tickets from a third party website called Pelago which offered a slightly cheaper rate (RM42 for Malaysian citizens) compared to Aquaria itself. We spent about 3 hours reading on the marine life, looking at the different species in different types of water as well as attending some of their feeding shows! The tunnel was the highlight for me as a lot of marine life swam past the tunnel. We could even spot all 3 of the tiger sharks and all 2 of the sea turtles while going through the tunnel! I do agree though with other reviews that say the tanks are overcrowded. But I’m not sure how I can recommend it to be better besides installing another tunnel? One thing I didn’t really like was how crowded and hot the place was. It says there’s a limit to how many people can enter at once but it still was overcrowded and really hot. I can’t imagine what it must be like on weekends. I would definitely recommend coming here to visit by yourself, with your family or friends! But do try your best to come on a normal weekday because the crowds can be overwhelming sometimes. Enjoy! :)

These aquaria had variety of aquatic animals and plant species. The area is large with a considerable number of endangered animal species that one might never be able to find in outside water habitats. It’s a great place for children to have fun seeing fishes, amphibians, mammals, and reptiles. Families can also take good and memorable pictures with the numerous picturesque views. Going there on a weekday gives a hassle-free experience, it’s is not crowded, there’s no waiting time, and you might not need to reserve a ticket in advance. Moreover, there’s not heat in the tunnel because it’s not entirely jam packed.

I came with 3 children all under 5 years old with a stroller and the staff were nothing short of amazing. Helpful with offering me directions or answering my questions with utmost of friendliness and always a smile. One staff even recognized us the second time we visited! The staff who ran the activities were engaging with my kids which I appreciated. Wonderful layout over many levels. The underwater tunnel is a thrill for all to experience. The first time we flew through the exhibits but at the end we were able to return to the beginning and go through again without exiting. There is no cafeteria inside or food/drinks allowed however just outside the entrance is a large cafeteria with plenty seating. I made sure to feed my hungry kids before and after our visit which made for an enjoyable day for everyone. Came back for our second visit and brought friends!

This is the best Aquarium I have ever seen in my life so far. It is well organized and maintained. It houses a wide variety of species which is not limited to water living species but include jungle living ones. I enjoy every part of this aquarium and the most outstanding one was the tunnel which has an excellent presentation covering all angles. It is kids friendly as well.

Great display of aquatic animals. My daughter was particularly excited to see the sharks and turtles! The aquatic tunnel personally was the best exhibit. No toilets inside. So better be prepared before you go in. It is a one way in, cannot return back after taking the escalator, so better spend your time before taking the escalator.

Well organised not to busy on a weekday . Ideal location as next door the big shopping centre. Can buy tickets online or on the day . Able to get around with wheelchair or pushchair. Cheaper for local residents as it should be . Plenty of car parking around . Seen lots of various oven life . Like the idea of educating people about the environment , pollution and eco systems. Yes would go again .

Overall we had a fun time. Just people will crowd around the tanks. Adults also don't give way to children to have a look. Best to just wait and have a turn but as you know how impatient kids are. The environment is clean. Tanks are clean. I hope the sea animals are well taken care of. I bought my tickets from Travelog, Lazada. Immediately got my tickets, booked my slot at the Aquaria website and when we were there we just scan and walk in. Tickets are slightly cheaper from Lazada versus buying from the ticket counter. We went at 3.30pm. Not so crowded.

Our visit was great because we bought advanced tickets on klook. Ticket redemption process was very smooth and the exhibits and show from the staffs are very information. Enclosure and tanks are all very well maintained and we managed to even see the divers clean the tanks in the tunnel. However if you come with a stroller, it’s quite a hassle as the walking space is quite small if there is a big crowd. It also spans between two floors so you will be escorted to the lift to bring you stroller down or up the exhibit.

The Aquaria KLCC is an oceanarium located beneath Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre within Kuala Lumpur City Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. History Construction for Aquaria KLCC started in 2003. It was officially opened in August 2005. Features Featuring 60,000 square feet (5,600 m2) in two levels with a 90-metre (300 ft) underwater tunnel, Aquaria KLCC houses over 250 different species and over 5,000 land and aquatic animals from Malaysia and around the world. Interactive information kiosks on fish and turtle conservation. It includes a themed retail area of about 5,000 square feet (460 m2). Aquaria KLCC is based on the journey of water from the land to the sea. The journey starts in the misty highlands, down through rivers, through the rainforest and mangroves to the coral reefs into the deep blue sea. There is a large food-court just outside the aquarium with many choices of food. Excerpt from Wikipedia

Ahh a nostalgic place to visit when i was a kid. This place is a must to visit in Kuala Lumpur. A good place for both children and adult to visit. The only place that we can learn about the marine life . This place not only has fishes but there are other animals like insects and salamander you can see. A moving walkway in the tunnel where you can see all the fishes is a majestic scenery. Photos can be taken here. Take as much as you can because the scenery is spectacular. There are souvenier store you can buy for memories of this place. Staffs are good and maintain the place very well. Very satisfying visiting here!

Great place to bring the kids to experience and get to know the animals underwater. However, the queue before the entry is too long, though most of visitors have bought tickets online. It was hot, couldn't feel the air conditioning and become more suffocating because of face mask. Staffs were helpful and really followed the SOP. Great team! ❤️ Picture print price ranging from RM60 for small magnet, there's keychain, paper weight frame, album too, and up to RM150 for all. Affordable but quite a sum to spend for souvenirs 😅

Beautiful aquaria. After twin tower in Kuala Lumpur, I think aquaria is the best place to visit. We paid 64 ringgit for each person as a entry fees and it was a worthful decision. We enjoyed a lot here. Aquaria KLCC, located on the concourse level of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. its star attractions include scary tiger sharks, lethal sea snakes, blue rays, bright coral fish, seahorses and more.

Features Edit Featuring 60,000 square feet (5,600 m2) in two levels with a 90-metre (300 ft) underwater tunnel, Aquaria KLCC houses over 250 different species and over 5,000 land and aquatic animals from Malaysia and around the world. The Aquaria is located in the lower levels of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Visited Aquaria in 2018 Mesmerising and amazing place to visit in KLCC. Clean, tidy and well-maintained. Vibrant and vast variety of marine life and I liked the underwater tunnel. Not as big as other aquariums found in other counties like the Dubai Mall Aquarium but it’s still a great place to visit and one of my favourite locations in KL.

A good place to learn and educate ourselves on underwater and marine life. We came on a weekday, so not it's not crowded. The PA announcer kept reminding the visitors to be vigilant and maintain Covid19 SOP

Its a nice experience especially when bringing your child for an educational visit. The staff are very good at handling the crowd and visitor's concerns & questions. The minus are: 1) weekends are too crowded, 2) the air-conditioning system are bad, 3) the staff are not good in ensuring COVID19 SOP being practice here.

Frequent rain showers disrupting your plans for outdoor activities? No worries. Convert that miss into a hit for the day by visiting an interesting and wonderful indoor activity at Suria KLCC Aquatic Center, where you could get close to the wonderful and interesting aquatic life. Meet a wide variety of aquatic life and engross yourselves in this fantastic experience while you move on an escalator through the 90 m crystal clear glass tunnel designed to give you the closest view into this colorful and fascinating aquatic world. Anything related to nature or preservation of nature I have five stars for it. Visit these places and show your love and support for nature and its preservation in what ever way it is.

It was small, I finished walking it in 1 hour. It was crowded too, and it was hard to find places to take pictures without other people in sight. If you are looking a place to spend your day in, I'm not sure this is the place, but if you really love aquatic animals or are on a date, then this is quite a nice place.

Bought tickets online and booked the time slot, but during entry, the crews did not check on time slot. The highlight is the under water tunnel, where visitors will stop and take photos of the fishes. The place is clean and well maintained. But, no interactive activites with animals.

Nice place to go despite being very crowded due to holiday. Perhaps they should do crowd control so visitors get a more in depth experience of all sea creatures. The place is quite small to be honest. If it wasn't for the "forced" photography and slow tunnel journey, it would have been a better visit. The issue with force photography is they get everyone to take photo whether you want it or not. Then they charge exorbitant amount for the photos...that are practically just fake background. Not worth the money. If there is a administrator from Aquaria reading this, here is my suggestions to improve. 1. Control your visitors. Limit no more than say...200 people at one time. Instead of cramping everyone in during peak hour. 2. Don't force visitors to take photos unless they request for it. 3. Review your pricing of photos. Have 3 tier pricing. Starting with basic where one could get just one photo and simple cardboard frame at low price....say RM38. Then mid tier with an album with all shots about RM90. Final is the premium tier where they get all photos in a nice album and frame including the glass ball photo for about RM180. Just be honest and publish the price up front instead of expecting everyone to come asking. 4. Introduce a guided tour at allocated time. This will really help educate visitors especially young kids going on school trip. I'm sure you have someone from your staff experience and knowledgeable enough to do this. Try giving this free to try out. Then consider charging when demand is good. Anyways, all the best. I hope Aquaria can continue to expand in future.

Too crowded. 1000 over peoples. The longest queue in my year 2022 took few hours before can enter the Aquarium. Even if you purchased the ticket online, still need to go by this long queue. Ticketing and entrance need some improvement. The Aquarium was superb. Clean and clear. Sharks everywhere. Worth for a visit. My kids enjoyed.

Still well maintained after so many years in operation. Informative and have a wide variety of sea creatures in the aquarium. Do try to visit during the feeding hours to see more of the fishes gather up. They also have a variety of reptiles such as frogs and snakes on display.

An amazing showcase of 5,000 land bound and aquatic creature exhibits spread over a sprawling 60,000 sq feet, featuring sharks, sea turtles, sea snakes, flying rays, coral fish, seahorses and many more! Make sure take a walk through Malaysia’s first underground aquarium exhibit, a 90-metre transparent tunnel that allows visitors full view of wildlife in their element. Just avoid to go on weekends or public holidays because so many people and it’s getting hot when there is not enough ventilation. Ticket price for adult also not so much expensive can affordable.

Aquaria is a great place for kids to learn and have fun! If you're looking to avoid the crowds, I recommend visiting on a weekday. Although there were still some people lined up when I visited on a Monday, it wasn't overly crowded and I didn't have to wait long. While the fish are cute, they're relatively small, and I was hoping to see more species and sections. However, they do have one impressive tank and a walkway where you can observe fish swimming above your head. Even though there may not be as much as you'd expect, I still enjoyed my time there, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to bring their kids for a fun and educational experience.

Super hot and humid, like a sauna steam room, do not go during public holiday or weekend, super crowded, I can't breath, wanna faint already especially when queueing into the tube tunnel, I can't stay any longer, just want to leave the place as soon as possible. The fishes and overall presentation are good, is just too crowded, feels like no air circulation.

A small aquarium with spacious rooms to see under the water world. many kinds of fish but not that much and knowledge for helping this planet earth to protect the climate and pollution. Good leisure activity in free time. It is good for kids and adults who are still young at heart. P.S. the tunnel was very crowded, too many people to get in side.

Loved the aquarium, was such a nice spot to visit. I came on Tuesday morning, 10.15, so it was still very quiet, and I was able to enjoy my time as there were only a few people with me. Definitely recommend going there early on weekdays! What I didn't like was, that there was few people taking pictures with flashlights on there phones, and they weren't worned properly to stop, they should be warned once, and once they do it again, they should be removed from aquarium straight away. In the end, I was the one arguing with two ignorant women's to stop using flashlights and to think about fishes and not about IG photos!

The tickets for foreign nationals were RM 79, it was small, crowded (that maybe because I visited on weekend). The place is nice, one time visit but not so much to explore, there is one small ride of underground experience, apart from that there are normal aquarium with different species of marine life. I think children will enjoy more.

We bought the ticket online so no waiting at the entrance. Went during school holiday. Quiet pack and a little warm in the Aquaria. We spent 50mins in the aquaria. We saw sharks, stingray and many other different type of sea creatures. It worth the visit especially for the first timer but we don’t think we will revisit the place.

KLCC Aquaria delivers an enchanting underwater adventure, albeit with a relatively higher cost for international visitors. Its diverse exhibits offer a wealth of mesmerizing sights, notably the striking shark showcases and the intriguing presence of Piranhas. Each area is brimming with comprehensive insights into marine life, ensuring an enriching educational experience. Expect some walking, but the extensive array of sea creatures, from fish to lobsters, sea snakes, and preserved specimens, guarantees a rewarding journey for marine aficionados. Despite occasional crowding, it's a delight for kids and adults alike.

During this pkpp covid-19, aquaria KLCC is allowed to operate according to their normal operating hours. Fyi, the ticket price for adult rm49. Before entering to purchase a ticket, you are required to scanned the bar code on Selangkah apps or you can fill in manually then check your temperature first. You must wear a mouth mask at all times except when taking pictures. The hand sanitizers have been provided by Aquaria KLCC at all times so that you are always clean from germs. Have a nice day there?

i short walk from our hotel and the Petronas twin towers, you find this amazing aquarium. Even better than the London Aquarium. The first few exhibits were not awe inspiring, but then it just took off. As you passed through the tunnels underneath the main tank, using a moving walkway that you can get off to the side of. There were turtles, tiger sharks and others, rays and many many types of fish all living together. Then a few divers entered the tank to feed the turtles and to clean the tank

Huge arcade, but not the biggest in KL, All top brands represented as are the prices! Go here for Gucci, but fashion is the last thing you'll be interested in. There are also 5 exhibition halls a short walk away through the underground passage, go check out whats on, or check online, can't remember the link, but it'll be under KLCCxxxxxxx something! Have fun

Tickets can be bought online on the official website of Aquaria KLCC. It's 71 MYR each for adults. The online slot booking is nonsense because they don't use it to prioritize you in the line. We visited on a Saturday and it's crowded. There's no long wait though. It's just a bit of a challenge to take pictures especially in the underwater tunnel. It's good for a one time experience to educate oneself about aquatic creatures but I found the aquarium small for them to move around. I was torn whether I should feel better that the public is educated through this aquarium (or sad) at the cost of the aquatic creatures being unhappy.

If you want to go there buy your ticket through Klook, much way cheaper and save your times. Just need to line up to take your temperature, then you may cut the lines from the ticket counter to scan you QR ticket and enjoy your trips. How to go Aquaria: 1• You can parking your car at Suria KLCC and find the KLCC Park, walk throughout the KLCC Park to the Convention Centre Hall. If you see the flagpoles infront of the Convention Centre Hall, you can go downstairs and you already reach your destinations. OR; 2• Same goes to people who parking at KLCC Park, you walk beside the Exxon Mobil building and Trader Hotel. Walk straight until you see flagpoles infront of the Convention Centre Hall, you can go downstairs and you already reach your destinations. OR; 3• Use Grab to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre/Aquaria KLCC. Enjoy your trips ?

Have visited Aquaria multiple times ever since I was young. The changes that took place were for the better, and I am happy to see the inclusion of eco-sustainability in the marine environment during my recent visit. Even with the SOP in place, the premise was overcrowded for my liking - there was a significant lack of enforcement on social distancing. Also, would have appreciated a private tour/inclusion of experienced personnel at different sections of the premise to better explain certain displays/answer any question.

Top tourist attraction that most of us pass by everyday whenever we’re walking over to Pavilion from KLCC or vice versa. But many of us have yet to witness the magical underwater kingdom ourselves. Boasting over 5,000 freshwater and marine creatures, it’s a blue oceanic wonderland worth shedding a couple hours to explore. You never know, you might even see a couple friendly faces here from your favourite Disney movie.

  • 4/5 Ge L. 3 years ago on Google
Staffs are really friendly and helpful when go into the aquarium. The cafe also very nice and affordable to eat.

  • 3/5 S K. 4 years ago on Google
A slightly underwhelming experience at the Aquaria KLCC. Booked it through an online operator so got a good deal on the tickets. It's a great place for kids to go as they'd get mesmerized by the underwater scenes and the variety of flora and fauna. However, if it's just adults, you can easily give this place a miss if you've visited an aquarium park before. You can walk around the place for 1-2 hours, depending on how much of the scientific info you'd like to take in. The highlight of the entire tour is this underwater tunnel where you stand on a conveyor belt and are taken around to witness the sea life from under.

A great place to see underwater creatures. The best feature is probably the moving conveyor belt where you feel like walking underwater and the animals are swimming around. Great for kids and adults too. Price could be a little high for some, but promo coupons are available online.

  • 5/5 Ahmed E. 3 years ago on Google
Excellent place for admiring aquatic life within the city, service and treatment was top notch, and we even had a guide who walked us through every single enclosure and display whilst patiently addressing all our queries. A bit unfortunate that we could not touch the fishes due to covid, but they really went the extra mile trying to make this an enjoyable experience all things considered. Great place to go dating and spending some time together!

  • 4/5 bryan c. 3 years ago on Google
Good place for the kids. Teaches them alot and let's them experience first hand the underwater world. When we went, there were very few people but the air conditioning was not functioning well. Quite hot especially the shark tunnel. Some exhibits were also not open, I'm assuming due to covid SOPs. Overall I would say worth it if the price was abit lower.

  • 4/5 Vince 3 years ago on Google
Not a big aquarium compared to other world class aquarium. The tour can be completed under 2-3 hours. Some notable creatures include smaller sized sharks, sea turtle, sea eels, schooling fish, piranha, stingray, jelly fish. Limited number of species.

  • 4/5 Melanie T. 3 years ago on Google
We took our 3 teenagers who love anything with animals. We've been to aquariums all over. This one was smaller than I'd expected. I thought KL and Malaysia would have a more amazing aquarium. But it was a really nice one and totally worth it. We had a really good time. Watching the otter feeding was a highlight. Try to get that in at 11:30 or 4:30. I recommend visiting.

But this time when i went on 4th January 2021 with my cousins, there weren't much fun activities. Perhaps due to covid 19. Hope to see more fun activities there in the near future.

Today, being a Sunday, this place was packed. Luckily I purchased all our tickets online. So that helps us overtake the long queue at the ticket counter. Well done!

  • 1/5 Sarah T. 3 years ago on Google
The tickets are WAY overpriced for the size of the aquarium. Its very small and dark and not advisable to visit during this time where Covid numbers are still high. There are other attractions which are open air such as the bird park which is less crowded and priced more reasonably. Would not advise for young kids at this time to take such a risk.

Aquaria klcc is one of the good place to bring kids for visiting. They showcase of thousand of Aquatic creatures here. Compare to many years ago, the aquarium still maintain the same. You still can see many big shark, sting Ray and turtle here. It is advise to book the slot of visiting as they have visitor control each day. You can get cheaper price ticket at klook or shopee. There are parking at both klcc and convention centres. If you are parking at klcc shopping mall, you need to made some walk at the tunnel to reach aquaria.

Don't go on weekends. Too pack. Buy ticket online. Line up. An staff say if buy online ticket no need to line up just wait for SMS then only can go in. Wait near by entrance for almost 30min. And I saw ppl line up the line and why they give number to the other staff. Walk to her and she say line up to give contact number and wait for SMS. Reline up again and wasted 30 min wait for nth. And I saw some go other place to wait for the SMS after hearing they say buy ticket online no need to line up.

Y'all have to queue the line first, then scan QR code with the staff and you guys will get the notification in whatsapp for the time you can go inside. It has SO MANY people. I suggest you guys have to queue the line early.

Good to have more interesting activity here rather than just looking around for sharks swimming up your head. Maybe an interactive thingy or computer to listen as there are kids who doesn't know how to read. It might be helpful and interesting. Just my 2cents. And the staff there is not so friendly. Sory, maybe just in my case.

  • 5/5 Mohamad Safwan A. 2 years ago on Google
Cool to see various kind of sea creature from around the world. Bringing kids here very good for their exposure to this beatiful creature

  • 3/5 Eva W. 2 years ago on Google
I am giving 3 stars because I think there are still room for improvements in this establishment. Crowd management can be improved a lot still (many were not seen following the SOP- especially in the tunnel area). Improvements needed on the education aspect of attractions like this- on sharks and turtle conservation. I believe a lot more efforts can be put in to making this experience much better for adults and kids. Having said that, it was a pleasant trip for my friend and I. We had a lot of fun and were incredibly amazed by the stingrays and sharks!

  • 5/5 Nyx C. 2 years ago on Google
The queuing was fast and easy. The place wasn't that cold and the creatures were all in a nice and clean environment. It wasn't very crowded as they tried to control the number of people going in. Would come again.

  • 4/5 Muhammad Fikri Bin I. 2 years ago on Google
Good place to bring family. This attraction has extended their area a bit since it opened. Price is quite expensive on the weekend and also crowded ,so if you can, try to come on weekdays for cheaper and more relaxed experience

  • 5/5 Nur A. 2 years ago on Google
Very crowded place even during weekdays. Can u imagine this place can fit up till 400 people. Bcoz of covid pandemic i was quite worried but to come again would be impossible as i live in penang. I already bought ticket online so need to use it i dont want to waste it so yeah just join the crowd and pray hard. Anyway i bought it from klook website cheaper rm10.

Aquaria KLCC offers a direct observation of sea life such as sharks, stingray and many others. It takes about 1-1.5 hours to finish the course, depends on how long you going to watch them. Before you walked out, you will go through their souvenir shop and you can buy different types of souvenirs there. There are keychains, fridge magnets, glass balls and etc. They are quite pricey but it worth the memories. ♥️

  • 1/5 Shanjay M. 2 years ago on Google
Really disappointed. Not worthy for your time. I spend 2 hours just to buy the tickets. No proper management for walk in customers. Priority given to online purchase and bookings. So crowded and COVID-19 SOP's are not followed at all. Out of 5 ticket counter only 1 counter opened. I cant spend time to enjoy the fishes and take pictures. People will always annoy you by asking you to move forward. Think twice before planning to visit this place.

Aquaria KLCC is an Oceanarium with 250 species and a space of 60,000 sq ft in 2 levels. It was opened in 2005. It was designed as a journey for the visitors, which starts from the Highlands and goes through the rivers by reaching the rainforest and ends by arriving in the ocean through a 300 feet transparent tunnel where one can see shark and other creatures roaming around from a very close proximity. It's located below the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and its also connected to the Suria KLCC through a passageway.

A really nice spot to learn and understand about sea creatures, fishes and animals. A very beautiful spot for family and kids. I suggest they upgrade the facility every once a while if got funds and display different variety of fishes

  • 5/5 Diana U. 2 years ago on Google
Weekend adult MyKad RM45. Weekdays RM39. Well maintained. Beautiful fish and tanks. Very crowded. Very difficult to maintain distancing from each other. Especially those who brings children they are running around and doesn't care about other people. It is better to visit weekdays to avoid many people.

  • 5/5 Diana L. 2 years ago on Google
Good for bring your children. Maybe much better buying online ticket so you don't need waste of time in a queue. Ticket price for adult less than RM50. You can check online. Full on weekend.

  • 5/5 Arcie H. 2 years ago on Google
Hello, a 17 yo kid who got bored on weekend came here today, which is me, went here and the ticket was RM 49, I'm sure it is worth the price, personally my favourite part is the jellyfish area, they looks so pretty and satisfying, it was crowded since today is weekend, sop rules were not really followed. Place was fun, had to line in a long queue but no complaint since I didn't buy an online ticket ^^

  • 5/5 Merry Natal M. 2 years ago on Google
Discover the fascinating nature of ocean life, and immerse in an exciting aquatic experience. Aquaria KLCC offers an extraordinary adventure where you can explore marine life by strolling through the 90-meter aquarium tunnel with hundreds of fishes surrounding you – stingrays, sharks, and other creatures will swim right over your head!.. This is definitely the place to be to reveal ocean life without getting wet😂..

  • 5/5 Ziyin H. 2 years ago on Google
First time visit, having much fun there. I purchased ticket online, so I can skip the queue and just scan my phone for entry. Had a nice experience at there.

  • 4/5 NURSYAHIRAH S. 2 years ago on Google
Nice experience and great place to bring kids and family to enjoy sealife. Long queue, too crowded, and of course SOP not followed. Please be careful, wear mask properly especially kids. My suggestion is better to buy and book your session online

  • 1/5 Vincent C. 2 years ago on Google
Super hot and stuffy. Over crowded with zero SOP in place. Crowd control is non existence. You will be forced to join super long and packed queue to take unnecessary photo booth. Management should wake up - you don’t create unnecessary crowd during times like this. If you have staff available to do photo booth shoot you should have better resources to do crowd control. Unnecessary!

  • 5/5 Usha Devi S. 2 years ago on Google
Went there for a sudden visit which my hubby planned. Was crowded actually even they mentioned only 400 people per session. Been there few times already wonderful place to entertain all. The 3D studio was nice and entertaining but little bit pricey ( and can’t use own phone to capture anything). 5 minutes for RM30 for a whole family and RM60 for the soft copy which I think more to non Malaysian visitor’s price. But overall was a nice and entertaining.

For those love the aquatic life, this is the best spot in town. Kids also feel enjoyable and exciting visiting aquaria. Covid19 safety measure practices such as completed vaccination doses and social distancing.

  • 4/5 Sahiß V. 2 years ago on Google
A great experience with aquatic life. Mammoth sharks, turtle, fishes floating over head was a experience of a lifetime. If only they would recede picture prices taken during arrival & 3D Demo, the Aquaria KLCC will be right up there. Bring along your kids for a memorable ride.

  • 5/5 Zainab K. 1 year ago on Google
I and my parents enjoyed the aquaria. Would recommend this place with kid as well. The most amazing is walking under the tunnel where you spot sting ray, sea turtle, shark, grouper, and diver cleaning the water 😃

  • 5/5 Pritesh S. 1 year ago on Google
Very well maintained Aquarium although I found it to be a bit smaller than my expectation for the ticket price. Beautiful species at display. The best part was the tunnel with wonderful view of the sharks, sting rays, tortoises and beautiful fishes. A very enjoyable place for the kids. Better to go for online tickets for discounts. Different ticket prices for Malaysians and Non Malaysians.

  • 5/5 Clara P. 1 year ago on Google
I was having a great time in Aquaria and there's probably hundreds of aquatic species that I've never seen in my entire life! The staffs were very friendly and easygoing; Suria Mall is just few metres away and I got to see the Twin Towers too! Overall, the experience were remarkable!

  • 5/5 Nichandro K. 1 year ago on Google
An enjoyable outing and a place for both kids and adults to learn about the ocean. Could get a little warm in there in certain sections. Management should look into regulating the air flow better. Tunnel section was fun, but crowd management can be better.

  • 5/5 Behroz K. 1 year ago on Google
One of the best places to visit with kids. Definately worth spending. Very well preserved and clean aquarium. With a nice around the place tour. Kids love it and so do we.

  • 4/5 Craig R. 9 months ago on Google
Really enjoyed the numerous species of fish at the aquarium. The tunnel to closely see the sharks and rays was very personal. However, I was surprised to see a petting area for visitors to touch the marine life.

  • 3/5 Adeline Y. 1 year ago on Google
Interesting place to bring your kids. The underwater aquarium was just a short tunnel and it's quite stuffy when it's crowded. MyKad owners are entitled to discount and need to only pay for RM50++ per person.

  • 5/5 Danah P. 9 months ago on Google
This place is amazing.. everything thing in it is great .. and ticket price is worth it. You can see many all types of sea species and coral reefs. What I liked mostly is the tunnel part .. what a beautiful place to visit!

  • 4/5 Jason C. 8 months ago on Google
It's not a bad way to spend some time while waiting to do something else. The displays are far fewer than most aquariums, though there are enough interesting exhibits to keep your attention. The tunnel is a must-do if you're here. In terms of buying tickets, third-party sites are surprisingly cheaper, especially with weekday rates.

  • 5/5 Mei Jyn Y. 8 months ago on Google
We had a fun time visiting on a weekday evening, entered at 330pm and took 2 hours browsing. We watched the piranha feeding at 4pm and otter feeding at 430pm. Low crowd and we could move around easily. We loved the bioluminescent exhibit too, it was so amazing. Would advise visitors to buy tickets online for example via Klook to enjoy a discount, and you don't have to wait to enter. You can buy it there and then, with instant confirmation so you don't have to buy it in advance.

  • 4/5 Harish S. 7 months ago on Google
We visited the Aquaria on Sunday but was not much crowded. Hardly 10 minutes waiting time in the queue. We really had a great time (around 1.5 hrs) exploring different species of the fish. The best part was the water tunnel walk where the fishes were freely swimming above the head with some awesome jawdropping moments. Worth a visit in Kuala Lampur, better to buy online tickets to enjoy the discounts and avoid the queue at the counter.

  • 4/5 Afiqah S. 10 months ago on Google
We bought our tickets from Klook to avoid queuing and made our way without hassle. This is out first time here and we had a great time, but it’s just that it’s not our lucky day. We brought stroller because we’re with a baby and on that day the lift is under repair and the staffs said we need to fold our stroller and take the stairs and escalator. Some room for improvement is if the staffs can manage it better, perhaps to help carry the stroller together with parents downstairs because we are struggling to fold our stroller and carry it with a baby. Other than that we had an amazing time with our baby.

I absolutely love aquariums. This one wasn't the largest, but the underwater tunnel was pretty neat. Glad we stopped by. Even took home a few souvenirs.

  • 5/5 Christine C. 7 months ago on Google
Lots of underwater species which can be found in Malaysia sea territory are exhibited here. We enjoyed the tunnel experience where you can see different sea creatures swimming above your head. Was also able to watch how jelly fishes are fed. There were lots of students on tour when we visited the place so its a bit crowded.

  • 3/5 Adib M. 7 months ago on Google
I went to this place on the 30th Aug 2023 in the morning. It was pretty crowded and the space in between was not that big. The aquria experience was so so due to the huge crowds and groups entering at the same place. I hope the management limit the visitors at specific times so everyone can enjoy and feels the nature peacefully.

  • 4/5 Fei C. 7 months ago on Google
a good place to kill your time with family n friends. the tunnel aquarium was a great experience to watch sea creatures swimming above our heads. Can learn about many interesting information regarding the creatures. Children will love this place.

We give this place 5 stars. An absolute winner for my 4 year old daughter. Thousands of fish species. It was truly an educational tour for all ages. Sharks, manta rays, eels, turtles, jellyfish and more. It's a well- maintained amusement park and even provides feeding session shows for people to participate. Amazing aquarium. We loved the walk in conveyor belt aquarium the most!

  • 5/5 Sham 6 months ago on Google
Cool place to visit during your time at KLCC. Lot of sharks, got piranha live feeding session. The one of best round glass aquarium. Variety of fresh water and sea water fish. The ticket was quite expensive but worth it.

  • 4/5 DAVID S. 7 months ago on Google
Beautiful aquarium located in Kuala Lumpur. There is a conveyor belt to get to the tunnel level where you can have fish passing over your heads. There are many species of fish, turtles and sharks. The visit can easily be done in one hour but it’s a real pleasure to share this moment with family. It’s possible to see the fish feeding. There is a large souvenir shop. The Aquaria is well organized, clean like the others aquariums in Asia like the one in Bangkok.

  • 3/5 Shirish S. 7 months ago on Google
This would be interesting to kids or if you never have seen huge aquariums with underwater glass tunnel. Definitely not the biggest, but is well maintained. Do not go here on weekends and on public holidays, very crowded! You may feel claustrophobic. Besides the aquarium they also have many other small animals, insects and birds. Quite impressive collection and very clean. Also you can buy souvenirs and there is a food court right outside. Instagrammable place.

It's a great place to see and learn about the ocean. It's like being under water without getting wet. Would like to go again but with less crowd(maybe on weekdays). It was hectic when I went there which makes it hard to have a good time without bumping into random people.

  • 4/5 Samia Rashna A. 5 months ago on Google
The ticket price for foreigners is 79 RM. Which seemed a bit pricy for the experience to be honest. I loved the shark tunnel though. I think that was the best part. But overall the visit can be very educational if you’re interested to know about sea life.

  • 5/5 Mindemeanor 5 months ago on Google
We had fun. Tickets purchased through Agoda. We spent about an hour there. The highlight was definitely the tunnel aquarium where we could see huge stingrays and sharks swimming by.

  • 5/5 Einnor Assiren B. 5 months ago on Google
There’s so much to see and I think the place is quite well-maintained. It’s a nice quick stop to visit in KL. Some people tend to underestimate the experience but you have to see the aquaria for yourself to be moved by the marine life living there in the middle of the busy city. Was just a bit disappointed that there weren’t actual penguins. . .

  • 5/5 Alanna 4 months ago on Google
A great choice if you're looking for an aquarium attraction. Wide variety of exhibits with scheduled feeding sessions. Only gripe is the huge crowd on a school holiday, thus it was slightly hot. The tunnel walkalator was also under maintenance when we visited. Best to book tickets online in advance.

  • 5/5 Nazrul I. 4 months ago on Google
Have a great experience with the animals. Labelling and information on each display is good and useful. I just hope they reduce the price of the picture taken at the entrance. Not many people are willing to pay 150++ for pictures. Entry tickets are acceptable compared to what they offer to visitors.

  • 5/5 Kexin 3 months ago on Google New
We went on 29 Dec, so it was quite crowded even at 10am. Despite that, the queue moved pretty fast and we were able to enjoy the aquarium! Many exhibits, although it would be great if there are more info about certain species (e.g. upside down jellyfish)! Overall, had a blast with friends :)

  • 5/5 Lee Boon K. 4 months ago on Google
Aquaria KLCC offers a great experience for the RM50 entry fee for Malaysians. While it may not be the best aquarium out there, it boasts a variety of oceanic life that makes it worth a visit. It's an ideal place to bring kids for study trips, as it provides an educational and fascinating glimpse into the underwater world. The staff is friendly, the exhibits are well-maintained, and the overall experience is enjoyable. I recommend visiting, especially if you are a Malaysian. Let's start supporting local tourism!

  • 5/5 Amni R. 4 months ago on Google
I bought ticket on advance no waiting time. However, I went on weekends on Christmas Eve, reach around 11.30am and it is quite packed already. If you have time on weekdays and not PH better visit during that time. It is kinda hot when there’s too many people and can’t enjoy telling kids or let kids see for too long to satisfy their curiosity due to a long queue inside. Overall it is nice, and can improve to put kore species there :))
