Went on a weekend, super early around 10am! Not many people around and there’s no queue at all. We just bought the ticket and entered straight away, no fuss. Recommended to come early morning if you plan to visit on a weekend as after that it gets full and the queue can be a bit long. Staffs were okay and helpful during the ticketing process so it was smooth. The last time I went was when I was in school so it’s been years 😂 I remembered that there was a ride in a tunnel(?) last time but sadly they don’t have it now. Quite a few rides/exhibits were closed due the pandemic. It was a bit disappointing but I still enjoyed the other exhibits.

An excellent place that melds hands-on interactive exhibits/activities with comprehensive science/physics explanations. The entry fee is extremely reasonable for the size of the center, and staff are easily accessible in all areas. The exhibits and sets are also maintained well and are quite immersive (Dino area and Oil rig). There are also a few awesome experiences that visitors can try out (such as the Human Gyro and the virtual flying experience). Whether you are an adult or a student, this is a great place to spend 3+ hours at.

really love this place since i was a kid around 9 years old. this place actually inspired myself to become a geo-scientist (i currently am!) filled with science experience and explorations. but the gondola wasn’t working due to sops? maybe. to add the food is very affordable. cheap and delicious unlike certain attraction area, the food here is remarkably cheaper. also love the dinasour land love love. but i did remember before this this place used to have a place to smell the cretaceous air. i can still remember the smell. really recommends this 👍

We thought this would be an interesting museum for adults, but really, it is just for kids. I may recommend it for under 14yos. Many things out of order and some entertaining things take too I ongoing to wait for even though we were very much off-peak time. Even the ice cream stands at the halfway mark had closed 90 minutes before the museum closed. The 3D movie we missed as that runs only a few times a day. We did the little capsule ride at the beginning, and that was a promising start, although nowhere near as interesting as we had hoped. The dinosaur park at the end was very nice. Overall, it's a bit of a disappointment.

What a great place for kids. I think kids above 3 years old would better appreciate it. Lots of fun and interactive exhibits. The place was clean and well maintained. Interesting capsule ride that can fit your whole family. Recommend to come by to pass your time with kids and learn science while in the city.

I went on Wednesday evening, and it is even full off people! I recommend you to buy your ticket online, but make sure you chose the correct date. There are adult game stations, but you might want to come early, the game stations will be closed at 4.30pm.. When we went here we choose the 2.30pm session, trust me it is not enough, plus with the crowd.. You will take longer time in one station.. I recommend to take the morning sessions..

Had a great time here but quite a few exhibits which is for visitors to try out is not working, which is very disappointing. Ticket price is cheaper if you’re a Malaysian. The queue for tickets is not too long but there’s quite a queue for the portal ride into Petrosains. We spent about 2 hours here and since it’s the weekend, it’s quite packed with school trips but the crowd gets lesser in the evening. Definitely a fun place for both kids and adults.

It has so many more rooms than you ever expect. All very interactive and engaging. It is a great attraction, and a Londoner from the UK I have to say it does stand up to museums abroad in terms of how fun the whole experience was. It is well worth a visit if you are in KL or passing through.

Petrosains is a fun place for science and dinosaur lovers. There are so many hands-on activities that even though I prodded my little one to move on to other exhibits, the entire duration spent at Petrosains was 3 hours long! Toilets are also very clean and well maintained! Location of this place is highly accessible. Eateries are also easily available and there are many other eateries, both halal and non-halal ones, on the same level. In Petrosains itself, there is a small cafe but can be quite packed, especially on weekends and during school holidays. There is also a gift shop at the exit but personally, the products sold there are too expensive. Will bring my little one there again next time I am at KL!

This place is great for those family with young children age between 5-11. It’s quite a big place with lots of interesting science related stations for the kids to try out. It worth the ticket price and can easily spend 3hours.

I recently visited Petrosains Kuala Lumpur and had a fantastic experience exploring the wonders of science and technology. The exhibits were not only educational but also engaging for visitors of all ages. The variety of interactive displays and hands-on activities made the visit enjoyable and informative. It was refreshing to see how well-maintained and organized the entire museum was. One highlight was the Oil Platform exhibit, which offered a unique insight into Malaysia's petroleum industry. The multimedia presentations were both captivating and enlightening, providing a well-rounded understanding of the nation's technological advancements. While the admission fee may seem a bit steep, the overall experience justifies the cost. I highly recommend Petrosains Kuala Lumpur to anyone seeking a blend of entertainment and education. It's a perfect destination for families, students, and anyone with a curious mind. I'll definitely be back to explore more and learn even more about the fascinating world of science!

My 3 year old daughter had a blast! We went on a Sunday morning at about 9:45am, shortly after they opened for the day, and there were no lines. Tickets are purchased at the self-serve kiosks, and prices differ for Malaysians and foreigners. There are so many interactive exhibits for kids of all ages, and I had fun on the F1 racing simulator as well! We spent about 2 hours in there, but I'm sure that older kids can easily spend more time exploring all of the cool exhibits. My daughter had so much fun that she did not want to leave. We literally had to drag her out of there. I look forward to bringing my daughter back when she's older. Overall, it's a great place to spend some time over the weekend with the family.

Well, I was just spell bound by the overall experience and aura of Petronas Twin Towers. You may enter this place either from Suriya KLCC or from Dewan Philharmonica or 'Filharmonica' side. As you arrive you , your tickets would be checked and you would be given a sticker ( that you must wear throughout your stay at the towers). Subsequently, you would be directed to Lifts that would take you to the Skybridge on 41st floor connecting the two towers. You would have 10 -15 minutes to explore and click pictures. Once done, you would be taken to 86th floor for the top floor view with access to telescopes ...offering 360 view of Kuala Lumpur, you would also be given yet another opportunity on 83rd floor to observe and buy souvenir. All in all, administration has done a good job to manage the attraction and make it easy for visitors. Be assured you would come across some breathtaking views of the city. A piece of advice - Twin Towers could be in high demand and may be sold out for days or weeks altogether and hence it is advisable to book well in advance as the number of tickets are very limited. Also, arrive 15 minutes in advance.

There is so much thing that u can play in the discovery centre. Suitable for kids and adult. Can explain a lot of science theory to your kids with life example. However the capsule ride is not much fun’s, nothing special.

Best place to bring your kids to learn and play for life. Sadly no Gondolas are not working anymore due to pandemic but its ok the main event still there to learn. Below are my overview: Area : 5/5 Spacious and clean. Well upkeep and sanitize rapidly Event : 5/5 Well manage by the facilitator on each pit stop. A lot of science stuff and puzzles shared. Stall : 5/5 $$/$$$$$, good to have R&R pit stop to refresh. Science prop : 4/5 Some are not working properly. SOP : 4/5 Reminder by the management and well followed by the visitors.

Bummed out a few sections were closed but none the less, rm18 (malaysian) was worth it. Also wish the dinosaur place had more info about dinosaurs. Place is very big so make sure u have the luxury of time when visiting.

Buying tickets in advanced is recommended. This place is especially for the 'researchers, observers, explorers' souls. For how long you should be there? I suggest you to allocate a whole day or half day for the least to be there. Because I only spent 3-4 hours in there but couldn't explore many things. For weekend, must expected to have a people crowded..

We been to a few Science centres and this place is one of the best. We loved it. Spend almost 6 hours inside soaking all it has to offer. Our kids didn't want to leave this place. There is also something for the adults as well like f1 , flight and helicopter simulator,.. Equally fun for the whole family. My personal favourite was the floating astronaut .. Adults rm25 Children under 12 rm12

Vast, educational space with lots of interactive exhibits. Restrooms and Cafe Mesra located inside. Definitely value for money as we paid RM25/adult and RM12/child (MyKad) on a school holiday. FOC for OKU card holder. We spent almost 4 hours here. Be prepared to queue to experience certain exhibits. It's also advisable to purchase tickets online as crowd control is implemented based on time slots.

Petrosains is a Malaysian science and technology museum located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur within Suria KLCC, Petronas Twin Towers . Its my second time there.. its was so fun and I always excited to go there, various types of ages can go there especially kids and explore more new things there that can gain our knowledge. Its was so amazing place and its was good place. The price ticket is very reasonable price. I go there with my friend and we spend our quality time together and a lot of great experience!!!

4th floor of Suria KLCC. It was so good. I spent time for 2hrs and feel it’s not enough. Suitable for everyone such as family with kids also teenagers and adults. For students will get discount by showing student card. And Student visa will get as same price as Malaysia Citizens as rm18. For foreigner around rm28 (I think it still worth for this price) make sure you have free time more that 2 hrs because time flies so fast when you enjoy it !!!

This is a great place for kids or big groups to hang out in. The ticket price is reasonable and affordable. It has so many exhibitions and it takes almost 6-7 hours to complete all of them, it is extremely hands-on and interactive! The restrooms and food are decent and clean, there is a cafe inside the centre so you don’t have to worry about feeling hungry. You get to dress up as construction workers and take pictures with your friends too! There’s also a lot of mini shows and experiments, so if you have extra time you can stop by at the booths. There is also a 3D cinema for customers to sit down and relax. Most of the attractions/ exhibitions are free but there is at least 2-3 that you have to pay (only around RM1-2). Although around two or three rides were height -restricted which is quite disappointing for “short” people. “fun” rides were height-restricted to 140CM. The staff is friendly, polite and strict. Even if you were 1CM shorter, they wouldn’t allow you to sit on the rides. Some interesting technology stuff was the robot server who can serve you ice cream! It costs RM8 and it is currently under maintenance right now.

It's a great place to spend a day or at least half a day, for family with kids. The place is full of fun, many things to explore. Ticket price is reasonable for Malaysians, hope it can be maintained. Its located on the top floor of Suria KLCC. It can be very crowded. Advance ticket purchase is definitely recommended, to minimise potential queue time. It's not perfectly maintained but it's considered good, with the hope the maintenance can be further improved. Its basically 2 levels, with some staircases to climb. Along the way, there are seats for kids and elderly to rest. There is a restroom at the entrance, another one midway thru the journey. Its all about Petroleum and it's science, this earth, the source, then drilling platforms, even F1 Formula driving where Petronas used to sponsor. They are also flight and race car simulators.

Nice place for kids to visit. Service - Mobile ticketimg station with assistance available. Electronic payment makes it faster to clear ticketing. Entry - Was pretty smooth. Some verified the ticket manually and in we go. Attraction - Multiple zones of entertainment for the kids ranging from 3-15 years old. It can be pretty cold in there, please do grab a jacket. Dates to avoid - Being the last week before Malaysia school holidays starts, there were a lot of school excursions thus good to avoid thete dates to avoid crowd. F&B - Some light refreshments available inside. No bag check made, so able to bring in some home made snacks. Please dispose responsibly upon consumption. Rest room and water refill points are easy available, so hydrate the kids well!

A must visit if you are traveling with kids or you are visiting alone. Its a journey of science in our daily lives, how Malaysia takes its natural resources very seriously and everything is portrayed in an amazingly beautiful manner which makes learning science so interesting. Visit wit your kids with 16.5RM per child while adults will be around 28RM. Make sure you keep at least 2 hours with you as its so interesting that time really flies fast when you are viewing things inside.

I had a go in the slide and it was great fun. I missed the 3D theatre because it was already closed. But I will surely visit again to experience it. The volunteers were very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. The whole place was teeming with science facts that is both fun and educational.

This place is fun to explore from 4 years old onwards. Many activities and games can be done together. Great for family bonding as well. Do not go in October and November as there will be so many school trips. I went with my daughter's school trip in Novemver and the queue was super duper long. We also have to rush and could not take a lot of pictures, skipped 80% of the activities due to the long queue. We were suggested to go in June or December as usually there won't be big school groups. Entrance fee is very affordable. You might not want to bring big bags as it is not allowed to bring in. They do provide lockers with minimal charges.

Petrosains is not like what it used to be. It no longer feels magical (or sciency in this case). No more helicopter simulation which I think is very sad!!! Some of the attractions are boring. They replaced a lot of the mechanical attractions with videos and touch screens. Last time I went to the dinosaur section, there wasn't a bridge yet. Kudos for building the bridge. But seriously, everything looks dusty. The volcano no longer erupts. Even the gondola ride felt empty? Less specimens and experiments on real Petronas things; more toys like building blocks and coloring for kids to play with. I am not sure whether or not I outgrew petrosains due to my age, but I do feel that it's not like it used to be.

A revamped science centre with the nation's oil wealth with no social purpose but pandering to only families who can afford the high ticket prices during a recession. Be prepared to spend RM50 when you visit with a kid. There are no more learning classes but exhibits of past misadventures with drones and 3D printers - a child can learn more from Youtube than on this visit. A new section boasting of space age seating and several robots seem to show the current manager's preoccupation with spending lots of money on large toys, with little learning impact. The older exhibits (many broken) seem to teach more physics to kids by simple experiments, while the new gaming machines of racing cars or rotating capsules pander to brainless teens no different from an amusement arcade. Helpful staff but clueless with little scientific knowledge to impart to young and eager visitors still curious about science, hence another national shame slowly unravelling. Now, with the dismantled rainforest tunnel, one can enter and exit quickly this space skipping the propaganda of its greenwashing credentials or nation building fake grandiose history. The short train ride in the dark will always be missed by kids, however.

First of all, if tickets are sold out on Klook, you can buy them on the official website, or at the entrance if you come around 9:00 am. You can purchase a ticket to Energy Capsule at the entrance (it is not available online) - I recommend this exhibition 👍 Also, take warm clothes as in some areas (especially in the 3D theatre) it’s crazy cold. There are a couple of food counters and free drinking water sinks near bathrooms. Place is durable for wheelchairs and strollers. Kids loved all activities and want to visit again as soon as possible 😊

Went there on 1st May (Labour's Day). Hence, it was quite crowded, but it didn't affect the great experience I had in exploring this place. The ticket buying process was fast with the use of automated kiosk system and assistance given by the friendly staff over there. It took about one hour plus to finish the whole tour (depending on your own pace). It is definitely a good place for parents to spend time with your children here.

Finally made it to Petrosains. In general suitable for all ages, and definitely to spark interest in sciences, or even dinosaurs. The online ticketing made it easier for me to plan. Suggest to book 2-3 weeks earlier to get the slot that you want, or weekdays/other than weekends/public holiday if possible to avoid the crowd. Definitely value for money with the various exhibits including interactive ones, some games for both kids and adults. There is a cafe inside to fill those hungry tummy, beverages and snacks. It took us about 3 hours to really experience the place. So give yourself enough time for a true experience at Petrosains!

Our second visit to Petrosains ( we came here 7 years ago). The kids (7,10) throughly enjoyed themselves with the interactive displays whilst learning a thing or two. The youngest loved the energy capsule ride ( separate ticket). The separate makers session was good value too. We were the only ones there and had a great hands-on experience trying to build a circuit with Lego- like blocks and via a computer game. Go early and avoid the weekends as we’ve been told it can get busy and could be a wait to try out the different displays. Don’t miss the science talk near the end ( 2.30 pm) Crystal was great, talking about the properties of water.

For the price of the ticket, it is worth it. I went on a Monday morning and it is still packed with families, though the wait is not long. It took me 3 hours from the entry to the end, but if I tried all exhibitions, I’m sure it would have taken a longer time. The ticket includes VR car race and other really fun activities. Staffs are friendly and helpful, especially the ones at the puzzle section.

Came here with the kids. Easy parking near Isetan. Then, head straight to level 4. There are various types of exhibitions here. An interesting experience to take the kids to explore the world of science, space, technology, and so on. However, most platforms still use outdated operating systems. Freezes occasionally. Hope there's improvement from Petrosains.

Our family had an amazing time at Petrosains KLCC. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially during the easy auto ticket purchase at the entrance. The ticket prices are reasonable, with weekdays being more budget-friendly—Adults RM20, Kids RM10. On weekends, school holidays, and public holidays, prices are slightly higher at Adults RM25, Kids RM12. Remember to bring your MyKad and MyKid for verification. I highly recommend visiting on weekdays as it's less crowded, allowing you to fully enjoy the multitude of interesting activities. From fascinating exhibits to interactive displays, Petrosains KLCC offers a diverse range of engaging experiences. It's a must-visit for both adults and kids alike

A great place to bring your kids. It's an exhibition type of attraction about the making of petroleum which involved huge dinosaurs and technology stuffs. It was really fun but kinda dark so you might have to be careful while bringing your children. It's not really a fun place for adults unless youre interested about it. Wheelchair accessible attraction.

The centre is amazing. A lot of education entertainments for kids and adults. I felt I could spend more time in there if it wasn't for the cold inside - the AC was too strong in same places!! That should be revised

Wow! Truly enjoyed the experience visiting Petrosains with the children in KL. Lots of interesting discoveries to see from the get go! The intro and farewell rides were an added bonus. Value for money and can easily spend 3-4 hours going through Petrosains. Shopping and Science experience in the same building is a win win for a family trip 😁

When you go to KLCC, you can't miss it. The place is so big and spacious. I had so much fun during my time there. The price per entry is quite cheap so thank god for that. When you wanted to rest, just visit the Molecule Cafe. The place is clean and very tidy. The staffs there also nice and welcoming. I had so much fun here learning and enjoying lots of things.

My last visit before this was 15 years back then, i see many expansions as the place was bigger now. However, many facilities/machines are old and uninteresting. Some places were fun but thats only when we reached the end of the section, many places are still lackluster. Much potential to be explored. One thing to point out was the staff/guides there are all very friendly and helpful, thumps up on that.

  • 3/5 Amelia H. 3 years ago on Google
I loved this place so much that I have visited many times since it's opening back in 1999..there was so much exciting things available in their early days right from the Time Travel ride, Arif device, the helicopter ride to the Petronas oil rig platform..the platform is so detailed back in the old days, with stair to bunkers, life boats etc..but now, I would say..nothing much left..went there with the kids and husband who was there for the first time..there are a lot of new additional rides but many was closed due to CMCO..kids and husband was not very much impressed.. 😅 owh well, I'm still proud of it..and will definitely visit again when the kids are older..Science show is still amazing! Keep it up Petrosains!

Attractive place to go with your kids. The tickets quite cheap.we went there during the school holiday so we had to go and que at 9am. We can book a slot starting at 930am, 1000am and so on. No advance purchase for next day for walk in but can purchase on other platform like klook. Fun slide, race car all closed during covid. But still so many activities can be done. Overall will repeat next time.

Most of the attractions and games are closed, some are not working. Pretty disappointed. Only the dinosaur section entertained me. Tickets are selling fast over the counter. Need to wait for next hour slots to buy the ticket. Overall, ok. Many families bring their kids here 👍🏻

  • 3/5 Lee J. 2 years ago on Google
ticket pricing is reasonable, quite a number of sections/games are closed when i was visiting, not sure if it is because i visit on a weekday. i enjoyed the petroleum section, i truly appreciate that there's a few introductory machine which provides extra information of how the petroleum is being processed and the training that the workers underwent. However, i cant get to hear the sound coming from the video, can only try to understand it through the words.

It's a place where every kids learned, skills, handy crafts, motor skills, psychology, basics physics, chemicals, astronomical, oil and gas technology, the origin of oil from the dinosaurs fossil, the new psyfi Robothespian character and many more. It's also suitable places for adults parents to discover the kids interest and would be able to learn and enjoy the great time of bonding together with their beloved one especially kids to frame the sweet memorable moments together.

Great museum with multiple stage which is explaining about Malaysia History, start from dino age to high technology of Malaysia until space and astronaut. Besides, you can try time travel to learn about time changed with capsule. It was amazing!

Worth your money. Very affordable. Some station even adult can try and enjoy it. Surau bersih and besar. Toiler bersih. Baby and stroller friendly too. For adult, definitely need to try: - formula 1 go kart simulator - human gyro - some thermal gas ride - VR simulator Got cafe in side for quick grab food. Time spent: 2.5 hours 👍🏻

We bought family membership tickets online. Rm140 unlimited entry per year for five persons and it is no need to wait for the time slot to enter for family membership tickets. Capsules ride and maker studio is nice also. There is drone computer driving in maker studio. My kids enjoy it. Robot and digger driving is nice. We watched turtle 3D movie also. We had our tea break inside petrosain cafeteria. We entered 2pm and finished 630pm.

The science museum is fantastic. You can totally spend a whole day there and it's totally worth it. It kinda took me back to the good ol' days of being a kid.

  • 5/5 Ivan K. 8 months ago on Google
I thought initially it was going to be a small science hands on thing where kids will be entertained. We pre-booked tickets through our hotel tour booking desk and was offered to pay extra when we arrived to do a power show. Well worth spending the MYR5 to watch the transition from discovery of fire to green and carbon neutral energy. The “keep the kids entertained” ended up keeping us all entertained and we ended up spending 3 hours there. There are racing car simulators, science of airflow, design etc. A section was dedicated to the dinosaurs and the historical progression of the species. The 3D mini-movie is worth checking out if you have really young kids. The place has activities for all ages! There are about 11 different themes and sections which again will take a good amount of time to explore everything.
