Our company held a function at this hotel on last weekend. Everything was exceptional except the attitude of the service manager at our reception. When I made a request to get the crew to send some refreshment to the VIP table, he challenged back didn't your peer just took the cookies to the VIP table? I was quite pissed with his attitude and the way he responded. In contrast, Jhiro from Serena Brasserie is more approachable and friendly with good attitude.

Visited for the first time to attend a business seminar. Very beautiful and attractive interior. Good service. Easy entry and exit. However, the parking is expensive. We didn't get any discount as participants of an event. Perhaps the hotel management should look into this. Thank you.

The service provided is truly 5 stars, the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The room is huge and clean, the beds are comfy, and there is a bath tub! The aesthetic of the room is so great that it would give you a comfortable night sleep. There is even a coffee machine in the room! Great selection of tea and bathroom amenities. The hotel breakfast has so much selection from Asian to Western, felt so full and satisfied. It's like a feast. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a staycation. Tried the high tea set as well, it was just okay though, and there is one tart having a very strong cheese smell and I couldn't even eat it.

I'm sure there are people who are better qualified to comment on this than me but, in my humble opinion, this hotel has the best daal I've ever tasted. You need to try it if you have breakfast here! I am also reliably informed that the hash browns were splendid. Overall, we had a lovely Christmas break. The location is great, check in was fast and we even got a room upgrade which was nice. The room was great and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Two small recommendations for improvement: - More tea bags! There weren't many in the room and at breakfast the tea was weak because there was only one teabag in a big pot. - Ditch the plastic water bottles. Use refillable bottles instead - they're much nicer and better for the environment.

The service was efficient and friendly at all levels - reception, housekeeping, breakfast, concierge ( i was addressed by name - wow! ) even the bell boy met in the life and the ushers and waiters for my conference H2Asia. The gym is spacious and well planned - not too cluttered and just great for a quick fuss free workout. I loved my short stay- 5β˜† Sandra 28 - 30 Aug 2023

Great location , Courteous great and friendly staff , spacious , clean and beautiful rooms. highly recommended . but definitely will not come again, mediocre service for club room facility , they dont allowed children during evening cocktail which is absurd. limited choice of food . you should learn from Grand H*%*t KL on how to run club lounge. Upgrade the club service and you will be at great overall .

The hotel is a little run down but their service is still top notch. The room view is blocked by other buildings but the room is spacious & cozy. Breakfast buffet is good, could be better. There is varieties, but some lack in taste. Lunch & dinner buffet is only on the weekends. A little bit disappointed there is no buffet dinner during our stay, but I guess it's for the safety of the guests. Overall was a good stay. Will definitely come back especially if the price is slightly lower.

I had such a wonderful experience here that I almost wanted to extend my stay. Their staffs are all very friendly and served the guests with smiles. Breakfast choices are limited but there are varieties. Saw that they have an award for cleanliness and it sure didn't disappoint! The room, was the best part of all. It's so comfortable that I didn't want to leave. Though there are some parts in the room that needs to be fixed, maybe because it's quite old. Overall I am one happy and satisfied customer! Definitely will be coming back here again!

Had a wonderful stay with my fiancΓ©e yesterday and can't wait to drop a good review while memory is fresh. The whole experience from seamless check-in, high-tea, the comfortable stay, buffet breakfast until check-out was awesome. Special thanks to Harry, the receptionist who was attentive to our special birthday & anniversary arrangement. Birthday bouquet was delivered well over tea time, delicious birthday cake upon check-in, and extended late check-out until 2pm as a wrap to the stay. Highlights on the details: love-shaped towels on the bed, clean and comfortable bed and shower, good soap and shampoos in the washroom, delicious breakfast buffet, complimentary parking

InterContinental Kuala Lumpur is a great hotel with a very huge and comfortable room. There's a huge bathtub, TV and great working table and couch. It's very clean. The gym is very huge. The swimming pool is slightly smaller. There's 2 spas. The breakfast is very good with a wide variety. Staff replenished the food and cleared the unwanted plates very efficiently. Room service is very efficient and done while I went to breakfast. It's also done multiple times within the day and ensures supplies are being replenished and cleanliness is being kept. The grand ballroom is comfortable and not too cold. The toilet at level 2 has a very fragrant scent. One thing is, I get awake up by the rain at night due to the raindrops.

Staff are really friendly, they greet and ask about our day or about any dissatisfaction on our room, service is really good, i got nothing to be picky on. Breakfast/afternoon tea/evening cocktail are all located at G floor Serena Brasserie due to the pandemic. The room itself is great and spacious, very comfortable to be in. KLOOK mentioned @Complimentary in-room mini-bar (Non-alcohol only) I'm not sure about that, i am suspicious about it since i saw a price menu when i open the mini bar....so i din't touch anything inside. 15mins before checkout, one of the staff came to check the mini bar, so i assume it's not free.

I really enjoy my stay here. All the front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful. Especially shout out to Miss Baharom Lily the front desk manager who personally meet with me and swift action to resolve my issue on accessing the club lounges. The club lounge is very comfortableluxury and serve delicious afternoon tea and cocktails. I highly recommend to book their club access room to enjoy it.

Had a night stay over with family. System is down however as I have booked earlier and paid so everything went smoothly. Staffs are great, friendly. Overall I am happy with the services. Got a wine and chocolate too in the room. Room is decorated well with the swan. Wasn’t expecting anything.

The rooms are spacious and clean. My room has two items missing when I checked in and I only discovered it later when I visited my friends' rooms. The kettle wasn't there and also the Amazon Echo unit wasn't there too. I informed the housekeeping n reception upon the discovery. Apart from this , service is very good at reception and also from waiters at Breakfast. Variety of food at Breakfast was also good with some small improvements required , which I have filled out on the feedback form given to us at the breakfast table . Overall it was a good short stay and will definitely be back .

had a comfortable stay at the hotel, both the room & bathroom is very spacious and clean. booked a classic king super room and the bed can easily fit three adults with plenty of space in between. you can barely feel the edge of where both beds meet which makes it comfortable for the person in the middle. plenty of food choices for breakfast & dinner buffet and everything is delicious. you will be spoilt for choices here. didn't use any of the amenities as it was a short stay but it was a pleasant experience.

Stayed here in 2017 but forgot to add notes to my five star review. The room was amazing. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was outstanding with a large jet tub. There was a large desk to work from. The location was great as we were able to walk from here to different destinations including the Petronas towers. The staff was all amazing. The Executive lounge was great. This was the last hotel in our tour of southeast Asia and even though we only stayed one night, it was worth the extra travel from Thailand to Malaysia. I will stay again when/if I am in the area.

Five stars all the way! Booked for my brother's wedding night. The staff decorated the bed and left a delicious chocolate cake with "congratulations" written on the cake. The room was spectacular with a huge bed, big bathtub and beautiful city view. The full carpeted surau/musalah on one of the amenity floors was impressive. The gym had every piece of equipment you can think of. Highly recommended for a special night.

Love their room, super big and comfortable. The bathroom is big and provided everything I need and they prepared extra. Although it took 'quite' a while for the check in process, but the front office staffs are friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is excellent. The service staffs are attentive and friendly. And specially thanks to the egg counter chef, the scramble egg is perfect. It was such a long Q but they still served the guests patiently and wonderfully. Great job πŸ‘

Mixed feelings on this place. Starting with the positives, most staff members were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast buffet was excellent in quality. Negatives were that the room was looking very tired and in need of a full refresh (two power outlets didn’t work, mold in the bathroom, dull carpet). We also filled the bath with water for our son but discovered that the water color was brownish. Staff communication skills were poor as we had multiple instances where they couldn’t understand our requests. It also felt a little bit unusual to have been constantly asked about providing reviews for the hotel - it’s not something you’d expect from what is supposed to be a five star hotel and reminded me of what door to door salesmen are like. We were also not informed about the renovation work going on in the pool area. Furthermore, we were misquoted the price for an airport transfer (told RM165 but was RM215). Location was 50/50. You’re close to downtown and public transport but there are numerous (but harmless) homeless folk hanging out in the street in front. Saw a fair amount of trash on the sidewalk.

Intercontinental Hotel Kuala Lumpur is an absolute five-star gem! From the moment I stepped in, the experience was top-notch. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like royalty, always with a warm smile and ready to assist. They also upgraded me to a Club Member and gave me free access to its amenities. The location is prime, making it convenient to explore the city. Whether it's shopping or cultural sites, everything is within reach. The facilities, including the pool and fitness center, are top-notch.

Not sure how I rate this hotel. Staying here at the moment and this is my last night. Overall stay is ok except a few things that I notice. Service can be a hit and miss. Housekeeping come to your room at different weird hours. The lobby staff are friendly though. But tonight I notice the air vent just above the front door is very dirty and the filter looks like it has not changed in months or longer. I personally feel this is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. Vent filters in my own home get changed every 2-3 months and it does not even get this dirty. I reported this issue to the front desk. A lady at the front desk wants to send someone up to my room but I refuse due to how late it is and it's my bedtime. I will check out tomorrow anyway, so I'm not gonna deal with this tonight. I include two pics of the filter and dirt around the vent area.

Staff and service at this hotel have been excellent. A slight confusion with the funds I left on the room account and still being asked to pay for things, but this got resolved quickly. Rooms are a good size and very functional and the beds are nice and big. Everything is very clean and the housekeeping are on point.

One of the older properties of the city, it is still an excellent choice as their service is impeccable. A special commendation goes out to Syahrul of Serena Brasserie ~ his β€œGood morning” greetings and his genuine bright smile are a sure fire way to start your day off on a positive note! Will definitely stay again!

Celebrated a friend's bridal shower at Intercontinental Hotel One Six Five Lounge in KL. The high tea set was a delightβ€”creative presentation in drawer-like containers, comfortable ambiance, perfect for small groups. A tasteful experience with good company.

Had a 5-day business event here and was quite OK with the big ballroom and function rooms, but the rooms is just OK I guess. The building is relatively old and you can tell it by the looks of the elevator interiors and the utility room doors and walls. But the hotel lobby looks amazing and the restaurant is excellent. Great location! Just next to LRT Ampang Park and near KLCC.

Loved this place! Very good location, the lobby is so beautiful (there’s a fish pond and a waterfall), the staff is very friendly and helped us get settled even when we arrived earlier than check-in time. The room view was great, bed was huge and the room itself was spacious. We asked reception for a hdmi cable but they said it was being used by another customer, but that’s the only negative point I can think of - even though it’s not that big a deal so I’m still giving the hotel 5 stars. Breakfast buffet was nice, lots of traditional food, pastries, a salad bar and omelette station. Would love to come back here soon!

It was a wonderful experience staying here. I loved the room, especially the working desk and the toiletries that were provided. It felt very easy to not have to bring much of anything to the hotel. The only star I would knock off would be due to the enormous crowd at breakfast and I think how stressed out the staff seems to be. Though not really the fault of the staff, I think they need more manpower for the breakfast crowd. Having to queue to go in for breakfast was a first for me at a hotel

A city hotel that you need to come and check it yourself. Overall room was good. Restaurant food was great. There is also a bar located inside the hotel. If you think you wanna enjoy more to Kuala Lumpur 's bars/ night life, just get out from the hotel, take few minutes walk to some local bars or get a taxi bout 10 minutes to other bars. Overall, good experience in this hotel

  • 2/5 J C. 3 months ago on Google New
Short version: This is a not-inexpensive hotel at a pretty good location. Objectively, we had a very middling experience - but going by the prices they quote, it was an underwhelming stay and I wouldn't recommend this property at all. Outside of the Intercontinental's dining areas, there were exactly two staff members who were polite and courteous - the gentleman who first checked us in (manually, because their systems were down), and the elderly luggage handling gent at the door. The rest were distracted, slow and more involved in personal conversations than being attentive to customers. Rooms are large and spacious, but with bare walls and old carpeting (a shame how evident the age and staining is). The washrooms weren't cleaned properly when we arrived and the TVs are old models (no smart functions, they just get local/cable stations). Dining is a mixed experience - some of the food is exquisite, but the rest is little better than street fare. If you happen to catch one of the nicer members of staff (some were downright rude), they will take care of you and customise orders (vegetarian food from back home, etc) - you'll generally have a good experience. Non veg food is plentiful and generally well cooked, but nothing on the buffet offerings was particularly exotic or couldn't be found at a food cart in a little park some distance away. Their a la carte (at least at the lobby level, for some reason their club floor at 26 was almost never accessible) offerings were sparse and their staff made us wait fifteen minutes at a table and then asked us to move to another section before we could even discuss the menu. When we finally got to see it (advertised as multi-cuisine, food from x,y,z countries online), the menu would've barely made the cut for a local cafe. Oh well. Their gym is reasonably well appointed. One can even bench if one so pleases, though with limited options to scale. That said, they don't staff the gym with anyone - let alone a trainer - and other patrons (are allowed to?) bring very young kids along - not particularly safe or quiet. In summary, I'd say your money and time are better spent at a different property. We are definitely not staying here again.

The staff go above and beyond to help in any way they can. The buffet breakfast every morning was to die for, they have every taste bud covered and Mr Annur (the manager and his staff are so professional and beautiful. The bar staff are super friendly especially the young man from Afghanistan (sorry I can't remember his name). John the concierge is a beautiful person who will help however he can and genuinely wants too. We totally recommend this hotel to everyone.

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The staff is friendly. There is ample supply of bottled water. As for the breakfast buffet I was less enthusiastic. Maybe due to staff shortage there is a (sometime quite long) queue to go in. Although the food choice is good and tasty, I was not impressed by the taste of their coffee and I would expect a hotel of this standard to provide better bread/buns/rolls products.

The hotel is spectacular! I had my wedding over here and I must say I am impressed with the hospitality and the service this hotel has provided. Really good Chinese food for hotel standards. Nothing beats the quality of this hotel, truly 5 star hotel and to have your big day or any other memorable celebration here even magical!! Would recommend people to come here. Rooms are new and amazing!! Amazing lounge to dine in for food and drinks.

Pleasant surprise of 2 night stay in InterContinental. We were upgraded to the executive floor and the bed was huge and comfy. They provided us a nice welcome dessert as well! Coffee machine in the room is good and capsules are complimentary. We were allowed to park in front of the lobby as there was not many cars too. We are staying for one night, there's some misunderstanding upon check in.. We got our room exchanged for somebody else. But the management n staff are great and can settled the problem right away. My husband actually made some reservation on the birthday deco and I love it. Stayed here for our anniversary, spacious room with bath tub. Got bell boy to assist our luggage to the room. Hotel prepared a complimentary cake, so delicious. Good breakfast buffet. Hotel is 5 minute walk to Mosque for Jumaat prayer, 2 min walk to Ampang Park station. Available parking RM5 per stay. Finding myself a hotel to relax and have a good rest, everything go smoothly until me and my girlfriend was waken-up by a fire alarm at 6am. Patiently waited for few minutes, the alarm still rang. No choices, we change our cloths and walk out to corridor. Most people were came out from thier room, some1 said the lift is lock, we need to use staircase. Then in this moment, the alarm stopped. Some1 said its a miscall on fire alarm. I went back to my room and called front desk. Yes it is a miscall, they said I can continue my rest. But I just can't fall back to sleep. My headache like my head is cracked and this is my worst hotel's stay experience ever.

Checked in process is very smooth and quick. Room is spacious and clean. Location is near Ampang Park Station - can just walk there from hotel. Also can walk around to Linc and Intermark Mall via the linked bridge. Bathroom is clean and with bathtub - would suggest to give another set of toiletries since the number of guest per room is normally 2 adults. Breakfast was alright. Lobby looks grand. Reliable Shuttle Service to KLCC & Pavilion. Thank you.

Had my stay under their One-night-too-short package, which is a good deal for 3D2N stay ❀ From checking-in to checking-out, everything was smooth and easy. I had my fair share staying around the area and I must say β€” Intercontinental had the top three comfiest comforter and pillows πŸ‘ I stayed there for leisure (and lazy chilling weekends) and it was worth it (had a good night sleep!). Breakfast was okay, so-so spread but the services + attentiveness of the waiters/restaurant crew makes me feel welcomed. All in all, gonna come here again soon πŸ˜‰

Initial plan was to spend several days in KL as our transit point. No thanks to flight mishaps our planned stay got shorten. We arrived 11am and was fortunate enough to have a room ready. The bellman was polite and helpful and the reception checked us in smoothly. The doorman was helpful and gave us clear directions to the places we wanted to visit. Housekeepers were helpful even with late night requests. The room though is quite dated but we had a good night sleep. The tub was quite a let down as the water was murky. The location is ideal. Will definitely be back.

Can't stop me to give full 5 stars on this hotel. Their hospitality and service are superb. We had 1 night stay over here and they upgraded to club room which the bed is super king size, which can fit in 2+2 pax. It's very comfortable. The Ramadan buffet and breakfast buffet food quality are good. Staffs are super good. Definitely much better than others 5 stars hotels in KL. Will come again next time!!

Staff very nice and attentive. Had a good staycation in this hotel and enjoy the great afternoon tea. The room is great and spacious with city view. The room has a bathtub too, able to relax after week long hectic jobs. Swimming pool is open, kid can enjoy playing at the kid pool. Morning breakfast has variety of choices from local, Chinese, western and etc. Quite crowded on Sunday morning.

Gorgeous hotel. Extremely spacious rooms but room cleaners need to shape up a bit. We had a constantly leaking water tap for 2 days but after several complaints they changed our room with an upgrade. Noly at reception was outstanding and really knows her business. Food is excellent although a bit pricey.

A trip in a long while due to MCO. Hotel still somewhat devoid of people. Room was clean and cosy. The welcome cake was a nice touch as was the coffee machine in room. Restaurant and breakfast was a bit out of sorts but it was still MCO, I'm sure they'll bounce back once the clientele returns.

Went twice for buffet here. First time came for Thursday grill dinner buffet for friend's birthday. Spread is so-so, not meeting our expectations. Second time came for breakfast buffet for Mom's birthday on a weekend. Went early at 8 am as was told unable to reserve seats for breakfast buffet. So tried our luck and we're lucky 😁. We're happy with the breakfast buffet. Quite a variety for breakfast. Attentive staffs. Quite a spread of American breakfast, Malaysian breakfast, also got my favourite miso soup. Compare to other breakfast buffet, here got many juices, and made-on-order hot and cold beverages. I will repeat for breakfast buffet and maybe try weekend dinner buffet. 8
