Lovely place with a nice ambience. Love the interior! Went there for a breakfast, and it was tasty! Lunch hour will get crowded, do come early. Parking is not easy at all, so do find out where you can park before coming. I did park near Reggae rooftop but do prepare to pay quite an amount of parking fee. I don't quite remember how much but for a day still less that RM80.

Went here for the first time and I think i love it already. The cafe was not crowded despite being at the heart of KL and we went on Saturday morning. We parked just in front of the cafe. I loved the big breakfast I ordered, very big portion. The coconut pancake was not to my liking. Would come again, because I think its calm and suitable for lone diner also.

Went to lokl 6 times already and they never disappoint me. Great services from the staffs, top notch foods and perfect ambience (less crowded compare to other cafes). For the price, a bit pricy but seriously its really worth the price. Will surely come again! Our favorites are their Southern Fried Chicken, Summer Pasta and Smoked Brisket Hash. Just now went to celebrate my partner's birthday and ordered the Salted Caramel crepe cake. It was really good and they even make some deco on the plate!! Thanks lokl! Cant wait to come again <3

Visited on Saturday for a brunch. There is a que even thought I am alone. Staff are welcoming, attentive, kind. Bring me a bottle of water after seated. I was arranging seated on the high chair area. Few hot for this section during the sun shine in. Food = Flavors combined. Chicken Waffle = taste good & match well with the fried chicken (the fried chicken was juicy) Nice ambience. Looking for a parking lot are always difficult for this area. Overall, enjoy the food and had a pleasant experience.

Food. Food is tasty and the coffee was good. We had the croque madame, and chicken and waffles. Chicken was crispy and went well decently with the honey, if you like that sort of thing. The croque madam also had decent truffle taste and a decent amount of cheese. Cappuccino was also good. Service. Service was excellent and the staff were friendly. We were seated and given menus quickly upon entering the cafe. Ambience. Ambience was very nice. There is also an open air seating area at the back but no one really sits there as its quite hot and humid in Malaysia. Parking. Parking can be an issue here. You'll need to park at one of the public parking areas nearby. Price. Prices were reasonable but I don't think I'll come here again as the food was nothing spectacular/unique, although they were quite tasty.

Absolutely love this restaurant! I ordered their Thai omelette rice which only costs RM20 and it is incredibly delicious & big portion too. Staffs are very friendly. Don’t have to queue even on a Saturday lunch time as inside is pretty spacious. And they don’t charge any service or tax! Would definitely come again to try other dishes!😬

It’s been awhile since I last tried a new place. I loved the pancake here, fluffy and just nice and the big breakfast is different as they serve chicken patty instead of sausages. I liked the plating the most as they used epic-old plates and the atmosphere is just so nice, extra nice because it was drizzling when I was here. Song choice was also soothing which I think set the mood to everything being nice 😅. Parking is a bit of a tiff though, we found parking around the block at a min RM13/ 2-hrs. The cappuccino was actually nice, you know you have cappuccino and then you have CAPPUCCINO - this is CAPPUCCINO for me. Most of the folks in this place while I was here I see are westerners and probably tourist so you know it hits the spot. I’d recommend this place for breakfast at a quiet place.

Tried the 2-course set meal which was mediocre at best and overpriced. Clam chowder soup had lots of veg which I liked, but sadly of subpar quality. Tasted like instant soup. Mushroom broccoli pasta was disappointing, not much flavour nor excitement to the dish. Just edible to fill my tummy. Lovely atmosphere, but LOKL can definitely do better with their lunch offerings This set costs RM35+ but I would not pay over RM25 for what it’s worth

LOKL is simply my favorite brunch spot in KL. Glad to know they extended the space to accommodate more customers. Top notch sourdough. The chicken waffle is nice too: fluffy waffle yet crunchy outside, a perfect union with the tangy apple sauce. The buttermilk fried chicken is fried to perfection, but the buttermilk taste is a little faint. The Thai omelette is flavorful but a bit on the oily side. As always, got a mocha to go. Rich taste with full bitter note.

The food is "good portion" and nice presentation. Portion slightly smaller compared with other. The ambience is superb for those whom prefer quiet places for chit chat

Very nice place for breakfast. They have a few breakfast option hot or cold. The food is very tasty, served on nice plate with all fancy decor. Coffee? Sound great! You can found here oat milk as well! Coffee taest very good. Smooth and creamy. Staff here was very nice and helpful. They help with choose option and was always around when we have a questions. Why 4*? Because in my opinion the food is slightly overpriced for that small portion. As much scramblegg was nice and big that my granola bowl was very small. Maybe one spoon of yogurt inside. We also ordered toast with batter and jam- two pieces of bread and less then tea spoon of jam for both. Somebody next to us order breakfast burger. Is just a bun with something inside and no side. No sauce, no veg for it, nothing. For 26 RM is to much.

chicken and waffles for breakfast? yeah, why not? it’s rare to see the chicken and waffles served as a breakfast item here is MALAYSIA & I found this local cafe in the heart of Kuala Lumpur which serves that & immediately I’m hooked on it. everything on the plate is perfect, from the simple presentation, the portions to the flavors of the dish. the waffles are crispy & so does the chicken, crispy & crunchy on the outside & moist on the inside. it’s boneless too so you can basically finish it without much hassle. the maple syrup really complements the whole dish, not too sweet & the fried egg cooked really nice. I wish I had a runny egg yolk but overall, just one word: awesome & will drop by again. the ambience is also nice & service staff & crew were friendly too.

The service i got was kinda fast but not as friendly/good as many reviewed. My friend got his pasta and almost finished it before I got my toast. Taste wise no sensation. I got the truffle toast. No truffle taste at all, just a cheese toast with balsamic vinegar. My friends pesto pasta had a very light taste to it, not bad but nothing special. The coconut coffee tasted like watered out coffee, almost no taste whatsoever. Considering the high price I would definitely not recommend this place.

A place good for those who want peace of mind or just to stay alone. A queit place with simple modern design. I'm not ordering any drink hence no comment about drink but the foods are normal. For me, the foods doesn't deserved the price and having limited variety in menu

I have heard many pleasant reviews about this place and finally had the opportunity to check them out recently. The place is huge, much bigger than one would have thought just by looking at the entrance from the street outside. The team was very obliging to my picture taking requests (bless them!). The ambience is cozy and exudes friendliness. The service is quick and efficient and food is good and my coffee bon bon certainly picked me up right after. I see the place is a one of the favourite haunts for brunch for hungry cyclists after their morning workout.

So on the weekends they have an all day brunch! It is really good, they don't have a too big of a menu, but it's a good selection. I really enjoyed the chicken breast with waffles and egg! Immensely strange combination, but you'll be surprised! They also have done nice lemonades, but the nation thing is really coffee. They buy their beans locally, hence the name, and it is really good and refreshing. During the week breakfast end at 11.30am, so keep that in mind. After 12 it gets really difficult to get s seat, because it's lunch time and workers from close by offices start coming for their lunch breaks. They usually come in bigger groups ss far as I could see. But definitely worth a visit if you are staying in this neighborhood !

A café with a pleasant atmosphere and very competent staff. Everyone was friendly and we didn't wait too long to be seated. We went at 1pm and it was quieter. The apple crumble was good but a little salty in my opinion, which was unsettling at first, but overall it was a surprising discovery. And the caramel latte was delicious, the only regret being that there wasn't enough ☕️

Visited without reservation on a Sunday. Staff immediately offered a table and took the order. It can be difficult to find parking. Nice ambience, indoor and outdoor seating available, restrooms were clean too. Coffee was good. Croissant was flaky, jam tasted average. I thought that there’s going to be a lot of dishes in the menu but not so much actually. A lot of breakfast menus instead of pasta and rice dishes. For me, the menu is quite limited compared to some cafes that I have tried. 😅 The ambiance is good overall though. It brings a cosy vibe. The staff are friendly too.

Excellent food and coffee. I had oat milk latte and beef pulled burger. Service was extremely quick (less than 15 minutes for both my coffee and burger). The coffee was strong and delightful. The burger was really delicious. It comes with fries but I did not enjoy it as much as the main event. Water is provided for every table. The restroom is communal, it's located outside the cafe. Not exactly clean. It will be uncomfortable because there's stalls for men and women in the same area.

Great place for a fantastic breakfast. Or just for a really good coffee. We came back for the delicious granola bowl with a hot latte. And for the relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff. LOKL should definitely be on your culinary bucket list when you visit KL.

It's interesting how "consistent" customer service can be at a place you frequent ever so often. Today, my partner and I was subjected to a subtle "preferential treatment based on the colour of your skin " by the waitstaff. We were ushered to a not-so-favourable table when the table we wanted to be seated at was vacant, and we were subjected to a long waiting time for our orders to be taken and that was when the same staff was patiently taking orders and answering questions by a couple of his race, whom he allowed to be seated at the place we had our eye on. Thanks LOKL. Never knew I would experience this first hand.

This place is extraordinary. Unique with its own style and perfect for an instagram moment. I was there with some friends without prior reservation and they said that it may delay the service. However, they didn’t disappoint us and the food arrived faster than expectation. Although the place is quite full at that time but they were extremely efficient. The staffs were friendly, very friendly. I guess, they were well trained. The food, superb. Unique taste and well presented.

LOKL Coffee was my first time to give a shot, the food was spectacularly delicious especially the English breakfast and the Oatmeal Waffles. Both were cooked and prepared to perfection. However, I do recommend LOKL Coffee to spend some money on serving plates to compliment the food. The overall experience was 10/10. The staff served us very politely and friendly. Definitely recommended, you won’t regret.

Came here every morning during my 3 night stay in KL. The coffee was flawless, the food had lots of variety and was very tasty. And the service was very attentive and friendly! Came with high expectations. Sadly brunch is served only on weekends. Had their spicy salmon and beef bowls, the former is tastier. We also had the Colombian eggs with a salmon top up and truffle croque. The eggs are definitely the best among all four meals. The drinks are typical of a cafe offering. Had a single shot latte which personally is strong enough. Ended off with creme brûlée which is acceptable with a heavy custard taste.

Rm 12 for a tiny but very good flat white. Shop is renovated beautifully and is very comfortable. A real respite from the heat and traffic outside. Prices are quite high but they do deliver a very professional service. Only reason 4 stars instead of 5 are my typical complaints for high end Malaysian coffee shops, really hard seats so not so comfortable if you wish to hang out and high prices. But this place does deliver an excellent coffee, they know their stuff.

The food is not too bad. Price is higher than usual but the ingredient quality is definitely a question at hand. The Lamb brisket is more like lamb pieces. There just less than 10 small cube size pieces of lamb in it and they substitute the meat with some chicken sausage. It taste good but it's definitely not a brisket. More like mince lamb. Chicken waffle - waffle is hard like cookies. Chicken was soggy with oil. The maple syrup was combined with marmalade and apple cider, voila, a pungent bomb that kills the fish.

The food is great. I like their food portion and the freshness of food ingredients and the food is delicious. Would definitely go again.

Read a lot of good reviews about this place so I have decided to check it out myself (alone) since I have been hunting for good coffee place. Firstly I was welcomed by a young waiter at the front door with a warm smile. I wish they could have more seating so that I could enjoy my cuppa while reading a book. Anyway I LOVE the design of this place, very cosy indeed. This place is suitable for solo diner or even family/friends/colleagues. I am on diet (no carbs for me) so I have ordered Iced Americano and their burger. I ask the young waitress if she could prepare the burger without the bun and replace the fries with salad. At first the young waitress rejected my request and replied me :"Sorry we cannot prepare the burger without the bun, it has to come with the bun. Also, without the bun, its gonna be same price, we cannot reduce the price. " I guess she thought I would expect a discount on the burger without the bun and I understand that she was just doing her job by following company SOP. Good employee but somehow she could tweak her approach to ease the tension of the conversation/her face expression. I was starving and neither want to waste the bun nor walk out from this cosy place, I did not give up but tried to communicate with her and explain to her that she can charge me the full burger price + I am willing to pay the additional cost incur for replacing with salad, I do not expect a discount on the burger. Then she understood my request and was kind to prepare the necessary. The Beef Burger patty is juicy+delicious, and the garden salad is fresh too. Oh yea..GOOD coffee! For coffee lover, you can buy coffee bean here. I would definitely come back here again. Especially on my cheat day so that I could eat more. 🙂

Cappuccino ordered, 5 star. Kopi susu ice, 1 star. Staff attitude, 1 star. Overall, poor staff attitude and service. Staffs never keep track of which customer comes first and served other customers first, despite us calling and putting up our hands so many times to call them to place order. Staff was also seen eating and chatting at back of the counter. So, when the staff finally arrives, we told that we called so many times, but nobody came to attend us and staff just kept quiet and ignorant. Not even a single apology. Poor attitude and service. Will reconsider to ever come again.

Had the Thai Breakfast Omelette (RM18). It tasted very authentic and portion was fairly large, very filling. Iced americano (RM9) was mediocre, the aroma of the espresso can be stronger, felt like it was too diluted on my first sip. The ambience is rather quiet despite most tables are occupied. The customers are behaving very well. No taxes included in the final bills. Kudos to the staff who asked for my feedback/comment after my meal. Good job and keep it up!

I've had a waffle and egg florentine, the waitress told me that the waffle is out of bananas, but I don't mind and ask for it without bananas. They replaced the bananas to strawberries ,very considerate 😊 But the latte is quite small cup, i think the price is a bit high... Overall I would rate 8/10 , two points kept in such a small cup of latte 😅

I used to adore LOKL Coffee. Had a memorable scene with my cycle buddies back in 2015. Fast forward 5 years later I came back to LOKL with my Australian bf wanting to impress him with the interior & coffee. It remained its cool estetique and the coffee was good. But I left with a bitter scene when I encountered with a very rude cashier that day. I stood in front of her for 5 mins, yet she saw me waiting and left me hanging while she finishes her WhatsApp chat on her phone. Said to her twice, "I'm ready to pay". She just looked up and continued playing with her phone. Her facial expression was so flat and carried an annoyed face to me. I can't help to wonder, why would she act that way when she's working in one of the coolest cafe in KL. Girl needs to learn customer service. Sorry, you just lost a potential loyal customer. Never coming back here.

Fast, professional and friendly floor crew. Nice ambience despite the hectic traffic outside. The menu becomes compact compared to their early years. U gonna get your meals within 10-15minutes even it is peak hours, however, it is barely warm. Yes, not hot! Somehow I rather taste freshly cooked meals on my plate, not a fast to get but a barely warm meal.

Just want to join the cafe hopping trend in KL. This cafe is located along Jln Tun HS Lee, that brings back good old memories for me as I studied in Convent Bkt Nanas nearby this area. I am so happy to see the new vibes created here with such charming cafe as LOKL. The q was not so long. I queed for about 10 min before getting a table. The staffs were very nice, helpful and friendly. Inside of the cafe is simple but pretty and ver cozy. Very comfortable for a nice breakfast. I ordered brisket beef and gula melaka pancake. Sorry i cant remember the full name. The brisket beef is sweet and sour but not my kinda breakfast. I love the pancake. It has coconutty and gula melaka flavor and very yummy. My husband ordered egg with salmon and he's happy. Overall i love the cafe, the location and the effort of transforming the old building into a beautiful cafe. For parking, there's a parking lot nearby, then you just need to walk litle bit.

Very good and fast service. Comfortable sitting and nice decoration. It’s full on a Friday late lunch time.

Fried Chicken is pretty good rm28 and ice coffee latte rm10.

I love their breakfast menu and coffee! Everyone treats you warmly. But then again I'm not someone who needs extensive menu, just a good one. So this place may not be your cup of tea, check out their menu online first before going. But all in all everything in their menu are executed well which made me happy everytime I visited. Thank you LOKL.

Cons: Latte is okay, not too special. Brioche uses beef bacon, it’s very dry & dull, chewy instead of crispy. Mostly will not repeat visit. Pros: Brioche toasted pretty well, environment is instagramable! Price considered on lower side compared nearby kl cafes.

Long black is medium roast and fruity. Not my favourite. The balinese chicken bowl has a refreshing flavour and worth a try. Fried chicken is crispy, comes with salad and mashed potato but the portion is not filling.

Very friendly staffs, awesome food and ambience. The poached egg here and the bread are just so top quality. Very nice Christmas decors as well! Koo

No parking around here, have to park my car at paid parking two blocks away, unless you are bold enough to park illegally. Big breakfast is so so only, the sourdough is not crunchy enough for me, and the egg actually is ok but too much sauce and not so match with sambal (?). Latte with oat milk is nice, the coffee is strong. Walnut brownie is not warm, and just some part of it is soft and the rest is quite solid, I think the waiter took it out from oven very fast. The surrounding is nice to hangout and relax during weekend.

Great place for breakfast. Good coffee. Nice and friendly staff. Ordered the big breakfast and had the chicken 🐔 version since we don't eat beef or pork. Waiters were nice and service was fast. The atmosphere felt a touch modern and at the time there were no tables available inside apart from ours, but it was still quiet and enjoyable. Breakfast was quite filling but I'll definitely try to save space for dessert next time. The hashbrowns were really good and everything seemed fresh, especially the cherry tomatoes. Coffee tasted fresh and not too bitter.

I like the ambience here. Very cozy and peaceful. A good place to chill with friends and family. Also it's a good place for those who want to do some office work. The staffs are very friendly and welcome you with greetings and smiles. Their services were quite fast and efficient. The price is quite reasonable I would say.

Lovely atmosphere, good service and nice dessert. Had crème brûlée and beverage and both were good. I will come back to try more of their items. For now it’s a 3 star experience.

We had a caramel latte, green tea and apple crumble. Dessert and drinks were good, but nothing more. The staff are very welcoming. It's a beautiful place that attracts a lot of people at lunchtime. Prices are higher than elsewhere. 16rm for the Latte for example.

We loved this café. The food is really tasty, friendly staff and great service! The granola bowl was exceptional, so nutty, fresh and crunchy. Definitely recommend this place!

The weekly special wasn’t good wouldn’t recommend it. But the rice my friend ordered was pretty decent. Nice environment pretty interior design. Although they don’t have their own parking but the public parking (min RM15) is just walking distance from the cafe.

Love the interior of the place. Ordered drinks since their kitchen last order when we arrived. Cappuccino art was good. Good crema and also the signature cappuccino dome. Espresso tonic was a good respite from the humidity.

Came here with the intention to try their big breakfast only to be told that they had stopped serving it at 11.30am. (We just walked in at 11.40). The time written on the menu is so tiny and barely noticeable. The food and drinks we had were a major disappointment. RM12 latte: Very tiny as if it is a piccolo. Taste burnt and the temperature was not right. RM32 pulled beef burger: Nothing special with the bun and fries, the pulled beef amounted to only a tablespoon. Also the beef tasted like leftover from a beef stew. RM 35 for weekly special set: PRAWN salad burger where the prawn is almost nonexistent (add up only 1 piece). The rest are cheap cucumber and abit of celery. Again, tasteless bun and fries. Dessert churros with ORANGE ZEST: Churros seems to have been fried twice or more, tasteless and heavily coated with sugar. And the orange zest? nonexistent. We asked the waiter about the orange zest, whether they had forgotten about it and he insisted that they already sprinkle the orange zest on top of the churros. Zoom and look at the photos for yourselves. Not recommended at all. Not coming back.

GREAT cafe in KL! Food was great, went here like 5 times during my trip to KL - really liked the cafe. Great staff, great atmosphere, decent value for money. Would definitely return again!
