Used to be my favorite dim sum place. Revisiting this place after two years of MCO. Food quality & presentation I find has slacked a bit. The roast pork used to be good but today, I find it rather average coz the meat is cold, tough and doesn’t have the melt in the mouth taste. The char siew bao was good but look at the presentation! They no longer care how the dim sum are presented as if selling by the road side. Overall place is still ok, furnitures remained same, good social distancing between tables, service still prompt. Otherwise would have been a 5-star rating !

Always my reliable go to Chinese place be it for Chinese high end, casual, hk style hotpot or dimsum. Atmosphere is good and also a great place to host dinners.

A good dim sum dining experience in Bangsar Shopping Centre. Overall, the dim sum was tasty and the service staff are all very experienced, attentive and friendly. We ordered yee sang with jellyfish and it was refreshingly good. The captain followed tradition and announced auspicious wishes and blessings for the coming new year with the addition of each ingredient. The restaurant was busy even during lunchtime on a working day but there is sufficient distance between tables so that you don’t feel cramped. If you like rice congee, try theirs, it had such a great smooth consistency. Their fried radish cake was filled with chunks of savoury Chinese sausage instead of just rice flour and it was pan fried to perfection with just the right amount of char on its surface. And you won’t go wrong with their siu mai, xiao long bao and other assorted dumplings. Their cheong fun (rice sheet roll) looked thick though but the kid at our table loved it so much.

Came by for dinner a couple times already - we're always served by Annie Chew who is very pleasurable and attentive. Last night in particular, there was a wedding dinner going on in the inner half and the outer half seemed to be severely understaffed. Annie came by to help. I grew quite impatient throughout dinner, had to take my own plates to change etc because there just weren't enough hands to serve the tables outside, even though there weren't many tables to begin with. Anyway, food was good as usual. My favourites are the ribs, the fish, the glutinous rice and the mango dessert.

Shortlisted this reataurant with fond memories of my wedding dinner held 10 yrs ago, with great Ala Carte meals and dimsum. However, yesterday's reunion dinner sets for 2 tables, 698 and 498, was a let down, way below what I can rate. Especially this 'Japanese Ayu fish. It was decorated with the poor fish being poked through the satay stick on the pineapple base, when I saw it for the first time, I was horrified ; as if this dish is served like joss stick for prayers! I was expecting a large fish in platter. Captain mentioned that they have done this for many years and there are no complaints from the customer? Seriously? Then I tried the fish, and it was a let down, poked my mouth, have to be careful not to get injured with it, insides are soft, not crispy. I could get these in the morning market, a bunch of it, like mini ikan kembung or sorts like that. Other dishes were not very memorable too, talking about the cheaper set meal having sharksfin and grouper fish when the more expensive set doesn't even have it. On the contrary, the 498 set is the more delicious one! Service was poor, dishes were not promptly changed unless asked, teapot missing when being refilled, dessert came 30 mins after we chased the person in charge for couple of times! Not sure what has happened, but for sure not returning again to this place again, unless I have run out of options to dine in. Utterly disappointed for the much anticipated reunion dinner for three families.

Grand Imperial restaurant needs no introduction as it has already established in Klang Valley for very long time. One of the popular group of restaurants together with Oriental Group, I would go to dine once in a while. A lot of my friends told me that the restaurant in Bangsar Shopping Center (BSC) is the best among the rests. If you know the chef's or captains personally, sometimes they can create off-menu items specially for you. Otherwise just select from the thick menu book. ◾Pan fried iberico pork chop - purposely select this piece of meat to pair with my red wine which worked wonders. The meat had nicely charred edge while retaining its moist and tenderness. ◾roasted chicken - old school style with keropok on the side for the kids. Crispy skin and juicy meat were what I was looking for and they nailed it. ◾braised beancurd with black fungus & mushrooms - the young ones actually commented that the gravy was delicious when mixed with white rice. ◾Fried rice with egg & prawns had enough wok hei and essential flavour to keep me stealing spoon after spoon of it. ◾Desserts for those who have sweet tooth and they loved it! Despite being packed, the captain tried his best to serve us with a smile.

One of our go to Chinese restaurant for excellent banquet food. Chef Chew comes out with creative dishes that is unique and different yet tasty. Today's roasted goosecwas perfectly roasted and the goose sauce with orange peel taste wad just right not too sweet. Very good banquet style cantonese cuisine. The special London duck and roast port, siew yoke is almost a must each time here, plus the longevity noodles for birthday celebration. Latest dishes, Alaskan king crab in 2 versions, steam and in baked pepper

Come to this place once in a blue moon. The service has never improve since donkey years ago. These people still never learn the lesson even after the pandemic struggles. Behave like everyone owes them a living. The foreigners workers are better than the locals. I always observes that they are more friendly to those that looks more like rich man or tai tai. Doggy eyes. But they forget we pay the same price like everyone do. We come to eat their food not come to show how rich we are like many like to do. So, we couldn’t behave like a rich customer to enjoy the friendlier treatment. Other than have to put up with those attitudes, the food here is still good like before.

Very very good service with good food. The starter was awesome. I loved their 玉寶蟹黃羹. Birthday noodles and roasted baby duck were awesome too. Fish was not good though. The source of the fish can be improved. Abalone was a bit smelly too. However in overall, our family likes this place.

We were very fortunate to be invited to join our newphew and his family to this luxurious and exquisite Chinese restaurant for a most pleasurable and top quality steamboat dinner experience we ever had so far. The venue has a contemporary decor of an Oriental upscale restaurant look and feel at it's best. Our ordered steamboat feast were skillful and meticulous presented. We self- cooked and savoured a variety of fresh meat, seafoods and veggies with several choices of yummy dipping sauces and really had a wonderful time.

Terrible restaurant. Absolutely horrible. Service is no better than a kopitiam. Staff is rude. Made a booking for 12.30pm but when we arrived (on time) we were told that even if we made a booking we needed to line up BEHIND people who did not make a booking. We waited for more than 1 HOUR for a table to be available. What does a booking even mean then? Food is so average that it was not even worth the wait. Also no form of social distancing in the waiting area outside the restaurant. Authorities should be notified of this.

Was invited to a close family friend's very special occasion and was able to try their banquet menu. In summary, the food and staff were great. The banquet menu married traditional Chinese dishes with some Western-inspired techniques and ingredients. There was also so much food, we were all stuffed by the end of it but couldn't stop eating. All dishes were good but what definitely stood out was their Hokkien mee with abalone, which had plenty of wok hei and pork fat bits, and their pork ribs which almost had a Mediterranean-tandoori taste to it and was really good. Desserts were also very good. Overall the group had a great time in one of their special rooms in the back. Would highly recommend if you're booking for a special event and want Chinese cuisine. However, please note that it's expensive!

One of the best Chinese restaurant for dimsum in the mornings around the Bangsar area. Located on the upper floor of the old wing of Bangsar Shopping center, this restaurant is clean, well decorated and very efficient in its service. Food quality is good and serving time is satisfactory. Tends to be a bit over crowded especially during weekends and public holidays qbd reservations are highly recommended. For all this, be prepared to pay a bit higher for your food as its price is ranked among the highest for dimsum around Kuala Lumpur. Recommended if you are looking for some fine dimsum.

Small selection of dimsum, maybe because of the new year but got some old standards and was quite satisfied. The soup dumplings I have had better, should skip. If u like chicken feet, definitely get it, it's a large portion and well seasoned. The fun rolls came drenched in some weak sauce so it was not as enjoyable. The soy pudding was decent, tasted fresh and had a pleasing mouth feel

20231230 - One of our regular spot for dimsum brunch They were great, not imposing time limit on table seating on this busy New Year Eve weekend .. unlike many other places Supervisor CM Lee was a gem, looking after us really well and making sure our guest, Mitchell from NYC who was allergic to crustaceans, did not inadvertently consume any of the dimsum which might have some of this ingredients

Was here with my family to celebrate my baby's full moon. Food quality was alright and maintained at an expected standard from this group of restaurant but it was the service here that was exceptional and made a difference. We were being attended by one Mr Lee CM. Attentive, efficient and friendly service from him. Checked on us frequently to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Was patient with us and our newborn, he was even kind enough to offer us dessert on the house. With his presence and service together with his team of waiters, this branch will be my to go place if i ever stop at Bangsar.

I am writing this as my gratitude towards this awesome restaurant’s crews, from the front receptionist to the kitchen team. Last 23/5/23, we celebrated our wedding here with 200 guests. The food has got a very good feedback from the guests. I personally wish to thank Mr. VINCENT who is the wedding dinner person in charge for his great coordination and help since way before the wedding. Without his presence and support, the dinner would not be as smooth. I recommend this restaurant if you too are looking for a cozy wedding venue for 15-30 tables.

Came here for dinner. One of their signature dish, the iberico spare ribs is nice. Meaty and not fatty at all. However this year, the spices used is a bit too strong, almost make me think I am having lamb instead of pork

The dim sum is delicious and served fast. Button mushrooms with truffle were a pleasant surprise. However, the place was very understaffed on a busy Sunday. Someone placed dessert on the side table & no one brought it over to us. They also seemed new & not helpful. The room was stuffy as the air-con didn’t seem to be working. Prefer to sit in the main banquet hall in future.

Ambience: grand and huge space to accommodate different events Service: came twice, first time was great due to the fast service and the second time had some trouble serving ( understaffed) due to a wedding that was going on. Food: great portion and would recommend order a la carte as it is cheaper and get what everyone want to eat.

I either gave good reviews or don’t review at, but I have to say the Peking duck we ordered was a disaster. The guy who carve the duck was so inexperienced that made me lost appetite. The promotional soup was not even boiled long enough and the radish is still hard. Don’t go there on Father’s or Mother’s days. Casual dining might be OK. Way understaffed.

I was very hangry before reaching Grand Imperial so I just ordered a stack of food and started shovelling it it. This vinger pork was so tasty mixed with a rice porridge and the chicken wings were so good that I had to order a second plate to take a picture of them. The staff needed a few reminders to bring out the food though and they were a little hard to get hold of sometimes.

Today I had a lunch party... to be exact, dim sum lunch. There's quite a variety of dim sum on the menu but nothing spectacular. Actually I prefer eating dim sum at a normal dim sum shop would be so much nicer. However, it may be the ambience and service that gives this restaurant the plus points. I can't say much about the other general dishes yet but I must say the noodles fried rice was good. Prices... I must say... quite pricey... not really value for money...

Good food and great storytelling! We ordered the pineapple spare ribs and were really impressed by the portion. The bill came and we saw our server Ms Bobo upgraded us to the Iberico spare ribs at RM400. Her reasons: 1) We ordered it from the menu (it wasn't in the menu) 2) We specifically wanted Iberico (sorry la, my friends and I damn Cina la we can't even pronounce "Iberico") 2) We come so often she thought she would surprise us with something new (we had never been there before) So if you like waiting 30 minutes between dishes, and being gaslighted by servers AND letting them bait and switch your meal, definitely a must try!

This restaurant is part of Grand Imperial chain. It is located within a shopping mall. The standard of food served in this branch is good. Their steamboat is good. London duck is also popular. Service is good and fast. Cleanliness is good. Prices are reasonable. There is a huge carpark within the shopping mall. May have difficulty finding a parking lot during peak hours. Handicapped patrons can patronize this restaurant easily.
