Made a mistake of booking this hotel, loud bikes and generator sound at night, couldn’t sleep properly. Had to pay 75 ringgit per night for a single room. Made a bad decision to stay here and ruin my trip to kuala lampur. Never make the same mistake which I made.

The location is excellent, and the installations are very good, as well as clean are the rooms. But the staff is a real disaster: they weren't able to help us at all with indications about visiting the city. They weren't very polite either, didn't even answered the good morning we told them every time we left the hostel. Also, they totally messed our reservation, changed the dates and we're still discussing with bookings because they decided to cancel our stay and charge us a second time the room we already paid there. But our main problem with the hostel isn't only the staff, but the bar they have in the roof. You can expect a flow of people shouting in the corridors going to the bar until they close at 1AM. And then, the drunk people who come from the roof just go to chill and continue talking and shouting in the sofas that are just in front of the rooms... The staff, surprisingly, didn't give any solution to the drunk people making noise until 3AM every single night during our stay there. Maybe we weren't lucky with our room, since some of them aren't in the way to the rooftop. But in our case it was a horrible stay. If I took this into account, I wouldn't give this hostel a single star; the rating I'm giving is just taking into account the facilities, staff and location.

This place I used to call home .. when ever I come KL I will be staying there ..even when COVID-19 lockdown I stayed there but now that place have become racist spot.. New manager it seems from Pakistan 1)he has chase most Malaysian who use to rent for months ..they are those who works in KL from far State.. 2) when I was at the counter to register I meet group of African was leaving as I was there 1month ago meet them and when I ask them are they leaving to Thier county they said they were ask to leave as they have no rights to check in for more then a week but there are customers who are from western, Europe, and from china ( white skin ppl) are allowed to stay as long as they want. When I ask the old staff why they are treating like this based on pls skin colors and Malaysian badl. they said they just following the managers instructions. Did the owners forget when COVID-19 without the local majority renting there made them to survive the business when most low cost hotel were closing.. what if the next lock down happen will he say no to locals. If you still have the same manager on my next visit I will report to ministry of tourism and also to the immigration department for employing foreign workers without permit under the company. When the moment he come to Malaysia and bringing the fanatic racist culture from Pakistan to break the harmony of Malaysia multi culture.. previously and current workers didn't had this kind of issue they were humble and friendly... Hope the management and the owner take serious action Thank you and I would like to feel home again. Regards Your loyal and regular visitor

15/09/2022 - If you only want cheap and great location, this is it. Not the cleanest and really basic with NO free breakfast as advertised. That's cool if you're not expecting it but as it says online everywhere the great part of this place is the service, location and free breakfast that's what we were expecting. The service was very stand-offish and rooms aren't very clean with peeling walls and dirty toilets. Awesome location but that's really it. Nice bar on the rooftop but owned and operated by a different place so not part of the hostel, it's not really as advertised. Think there's lots of fake reviews of the place...

-Lockers - just without any locks, you can't leave anything of value in there. -Mold on the ceiling. -The air conditioner was freezing me all night - I asked the receptionist to raise the temperature a little - it turned out the remote was broken. -The blanket is a very thin plaid. I asked for two and it was still cold. -There are no curtains on the second floor, you're in full view of everyone. Also the beds are not against the wall and there is a huge hole between you and the wall. -10 people in one room, it's rough. Someone's farting or snoring. And I'm not exaggerating. -Shower is fine, even has shower gel, but they don't give you a towel. -I ended up sleeping for 4 hours, couldn't get any more because of the cold and noise.

Affordable place. Great and helpful staff. Small rooms and a bit noisy because of a construction site just outside. The self serving breakfast between 08:00-11:00 contains bread, jam, butter, oats for oatmeal, coffee and tea. It's tasty. No private shower or bathroom, as it said on the Agoda booking. Still it works fine. The towels (10RM deposit) are ragged, old and stained. They should switch to new ones. You buy water, toothpaste, noodles and lots of stuff in the reception. They have a roof top bar. They also have a book exchange shelf if you want to switch your old one for a "new". Nice place, will book here again in the future.

Travel Hub Kuala Lumpur is undoubtedly a gem in the heart of the city. With its prime location, accessing major attractions is a breeze, making it perfect for travelers who prioritize convenience. Not only is the establishment safe and secure, but it's the incredible staff that truly sets this place apart. Every interaction feels warm, making you feel right at home. Wifi is fast as well. A special shoutout to Malik - his unmatched knowledge of local food spots added an unexpected gastronomic adventure to our trip. It's not an exaggeration to say that this is the best place I've ever stayed, and I eagerly anticipate my return. Highly recommended!

Place is not bad. Good to crash for a night. Walking distance to the subway. You can go to Chinatown to get some breakfast before starting the day. Bed is hard and firm and clean white sheet. If you are lucky you get the bunk below with a curtain and some privacy. Wifi is ok too shower has warm water. I had a good sleep here for the price paid.

It's a horrible place. Dirty dark room without window. Dirty toilet and shower outside the room. They even don't have a soup, so if you want to go to the toilet, you should take your own soup and go to another part of the hotel. Noizy place.

whole property reeks of cigarette smoke and unventilated moisture, long term stayers make the place look like a slum private room but shared bathroom made absolutely no sense to me, I checked out within 2 hours of checking in and went to another place but the guy at the reception was very nice and friendly, good for him. location is good too as it's very near Chinatown and next to a MRT station

Very noisy during sleeping time. The guesthouse didnt set any rules after 11 pm should be silent. Cannot sleep the whole night, as i am very sensitive to sounds. They are chating.. chating.. chating.. until 3,4,5 am. End up i cannot get my beauty sleep. 😾😡😠😡😠 This is the worst experience. I have experienced any other guest house at chinatown also. But not noisy like this.. Already late night cannot lowered the sound during chatting and disturbing other gueat also. Such DISREECPECTFUL !!!

Had my issue with Booking.com, but Mr Concierge kindly help me provide an upgraded room with lower rate as stated in my booking. Bring along your personal basic toiletries, as they are not provided. Towel is provided, with deposit of rm10. Curfew by 12.30am-6am Great experience, the location is very strategic. Short walking distance to MRT Pasar Seni, other nearby tourist attractions. (& local attractions too)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a cool ac that kept me refreshed in the hot weather. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, with hot water and toiletries. The owner was very kind and helpful, always ready to assist me with anything I needed. He also gave me some tips on where to go and what to see in the area. The hotel is located in a convenient spot, close to many attractions and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

This is a perfect hostel for a few days in Malaysia, not fancy simple and basic but with a perfect location in Kulua Lumpur, few minutes away from public transportation that is very efficient. Also a lot of restaurants and bars around super convenient. The hostal offers a food tour that is a plus , this was the best part of my stay.

Great hostel, incredible staff are very friendly and helpful which giving tips for the area. Went on a street food tour with Malik and was the highlight of my stay. Tried out authentic Malaysian food and got to know the area better

It was OK, room smelt a bit musty. Quite outdated hostel but it was pretty cheap. Not much of a social area to hang out in and there wasn't really any vibe when I stayed.

The nicest place, and it's dirt cheap! We stayed in an AC room on the 3rd floor. The hostels around offer a bed in a dorm for the same amount of money! But here you get a room, a breakfast and staff ready to help any moment. There are Chinese and Indian restaurants nearby, a free purple bus going to the most popular tourist attractions, and the metro station is two minutes walking distance.

Stayed in a private double bed. Rooms are really small, shared bathrooms not really great and do the job. The guy who checked us wasn't too friendly, but rest of the staff is nice. Location is very good, walking distance pretty much anywhere. Please note that you will be paying 10MYR for tourist tax and 20MYR for a key deposit. Breakfast is basic, toast and jam and tea or coffee. But you can take as much as you want and it's located on the nice rooftop bar. Overall, not awesome, but OK budget accommodation with central location.

I stayed here for 2 nights and my single room infront of the Kafe Dian. Although the room is small but don't worry one person can fit and that is enough! Since it is shared bathroom, please all guests take care of the bathroom. Your cleanliness reflects on you. Keep it tidy. Anyway the are quite good as you guys can have a breakfast at Kafe Dian or the kopitiam downstairs or for dinner - Ann

This is a simple backpacker hostel. Wifi works in the communal area. There is a rooftop bar that closes 2 am. If you want to relax and sleep, you won't do it before 2 am. Bathrooms are shared. My room didn't have windows, but people (both the guests and the staff) are very friendly and helpful. If you are on a low budget trip, this place is for you, but if you are into wellness and all inclusive services, you better search for another place. Anyway, I liked that place. :)

The hostel is very accessible, very easy to get to from the airport, close to China Town, they also offer a free tour of authentic Malaysian food, it is super fun and you actually try very delicious and local things 🙂

rooms are clean but can be loud. the price is very high just because of the location and lack of other options. but you can meet some interesting people. there is a shared kitchennet and dining space.

Great hostel and great breakfast place. The room is quite clean and we get breakfast for free. The bedroom is good and the receptionist is very kind. Don't forget to bring a book to be exchanged in bookshelves because it has exchange book section beside dining room.

Very good hostel. Free tea and toast but pay for for eggs or more substantial breakfast. Which is a good option to have. It's very clean, ample showers and toilets. Good air con in the rooms etc. Good location in the middle of Chinatown.

This is a nice small guest house in Chinatown area, 24 hours reception, price is cheap and facilities are basic, Malik at the reception is amazing, he's knows almost everything about Kuala Lumpur and he recommended us best places to eat around and also guided us how to get around on public transport. All in all we enjoyed our stay at this place!

The best hostel to stay in Kuala Lumpur and meet amazing people. The location is perfect to go everywhere and they have a great bar with wonderful vibe in the rooftop!

I had a great stay. The female dorm was great, bed is super comfy, wifi is always fast and reliable, there's a kitchen and even an amazing bar upstairs. Location is fabulous, too, super close to a major transportation hub (Pasar Seni), a 7-Eleven Café and some of the best restaurants in town. Will definitely stay again when I'm back in KL.

Nice place for the most part. Good price. Terrible bathrooms. No toilet paper. Seems to be a place for locals to live cheap. Not much chance of meeting other travelers as it's occupied by local residents. Definitely better places to stay in Kuala Lumpur.

I'm very disappoint with this property. I was staying here for two days. And i foud It so cheap nearby China Town market area. This is nearby pasar seni metro station & 250 meters walking distance with KL sentral railway station. I booked a dormitory bed for two days but thae dormitory hall with 12 beds had only single air conditioner and it had dark here so I was afraid from insects and i was very disappoint with bathroom & toilets because only two toilets among three hall. So such a bad experience. But it is cheap so everyone can stay here if they have not a hygiene issue.

It’s nice. Great location for China town and really good food. It’s very cheap accommodation with friendly staff and a rooftop bar. Only downside is it’s very dirty and not very hygienic. Noisy aircon but I’m glad it had it. I’d recommend for a short stay but very large rooms mean lots of interrupted sleep from people entering and turning lights on all through the night.

  • 3/5 James 1 year ago on Google
A decent place if you’re just looking for a place to crash. Good: -Air conditioning -wifi -kitchen area Bad: -can get loud at night -not very clean Overall, okay to stay for 1-2 days, anymore than that and I think you might want to find somewhere else.

Great location, right next to the train station so can get access around the city. Air-con was really good and a cool bar upstairs.

Worst stay experience ever in domitory. Cheap for very poor stay. Ok. 18 bed in one room. Ppl smoke on stair case that smell comes into a room. They talk over night, so loud and no regulations. I am not sure it's freedome or poor management.

  • 5/5 Masnita Abdul M. 1 year ago on Google
Affordable price but the highlight is the location. Central of Chinatown and walkable to the city. 2 mins walk from the train station. A lot of speakeasy bars around! There’s some long term stays but they’re super friendly and get to meet some backpackers too. Basically you get what you pay and they have all the basic needs for a short stay.

So it is actually a guesthouse but with a rooftop bar, kinda hidden I guess and the door can only be opened from the inside. The stairs up to the bar is spiral and small, be sure to be sober when you make your way down! View is nice from the top too - can see Merdeka 118 tower.

The dormitory room was always dark and no head lamp . Working on laptop is very difficult. Hostel has a small common room and drinking water facility . Cleanliness is not very good. Location is excellent, just 1 minutes walk from pasar seni metro station.

  • 4/5 Valentin S. 1 year ago on Google
The hostel is nice. But it could definitely be a bit cleaner. The toilets are also not really in the best shape

  • 3/5 Live L. 1 year ago on Google
The location is very good as it is about 50m from Pasar Seni MRT station. It is also located very near to Petaling Street, Chinatown. All the toilets and bathroom are shared in this hotel but they are clean. The toilet also has toilet paper provided. There were two toilets on each level. On my level where I stayed, one of the toilet is quite small. The hostel looks a bit old but it is considerably clean and it also has an elevator. The towels are quite thin and some of them are too small. The staff speak good English. The front gate closes at 2am. So you can return quite late.

I really enjoyed my time in the Travel Hub Guesthouse. It's location is right in the middle of Chinatown with lots of good food right around the corner! Furthermore the train station is only 2 minutes away from the hostel by walking and is the perfect connection point to all the best places of Kuala Lumpur. From the first moment on I felt welcome here, because the staff is so nice & friendly and help me with every question I have. I can really like my roommates and enjoy spending time in my room, but also in the common area. They painted the wall with beautiful paintings that make you feel at home. Malik, the manager of the hostel once took us to a food tour in a local place with the best food I had so far! Without a guide like him I would have never found this place. I think a lot of people miss out on this. I think the food tour takes place every week and gets my total recommendation.

I had a great time at the travel hub. There are very nice and social people here and the staff is very friendly too. The hostel is clean and my room always had a good temprature because of the AC. Would go there again!
