Eslite's first store in Southeast Asia have just opened! Enjoy Eslite's full spectrum (literally) of retail concepts across an entire floor of Starhill Gallery! This outlet is enormous, and is so many different things in one. Many buzzwords in their marketing but basically there are 3 main areas - 1st there's the fashion/accessories/deco retail area with a number of upmarket artisan brands that are less known. Feels like Design Orchard. 2nd there's the bookstore area, taking up almost half the entire space. Lastly there's the exhibition and exquisite retail space with enclosed stores located at the back. It currently has a jewelry store from Taiwan and two small art exhibitions. A few small cafes dot around the space too! Now onto the bookstore - brightly-lit, wide selections, and user friendly. It has a few subzones, namely the Forum that hosts talks and workshops, the Children's section, the Stationeries section, and a main zone. Book selections are pretty good, many more recent ones than Tsutaya but I feel the star of the show is the amount of newer Mandarin books they have there, really amazing to me. Stationeries available are just decent though, kinda comparable to Tsutaya, same with the children's section. Forum is pretty new to me and I like it, but they need to continue with many more events for years to come. I also like that there are many seating areas for book lovers as well. At last, the membership system. I would say it is pretty underwhelming, unsustainable and expensive to maintain once all the grand opening goodies are gone. A spending of rm800 annually is needed to maintain a gold card membership that doesn't really offer much benefits except accumulating points faster. The black card membership that requires rm6000 annually is worse, with zero real benefits compared to gold. There are no special discounts offered to the different tiers and u can only redeem discount vouchers that use too many points for a small amount. Pretty disappointing I would say. Overall, good experience but second thoughts on buying anything here unless really needed and unavailable anywhere else due to the high prices and sad membership system.

Great concept but too many lifestyle stores make it looks abit cheapskate. I thought it should have more creative branding selling inside but so dissapointed. Book area is smaller than other places and it makes u feel like this is not a bookstore at all.

As bookstores are concerned, I think Eslite Spectrum is the market leader. An excellent selection of titles, stationary, in one section, another with clothing, beauty, skincare, cafe's, cakes, and yet another offering artwork, event stage and more. I really like the layout of the store, the spaciousness and quiet nooks to hideaway to browse through without getting in the way of shoppers. The interior decor is current and is a fresh approach to the ones KL has been exposed to. I think they have done an excellent job with the decor. There are a couple of nice cafes that offers a panoramic view of the Pavilion shopping main entrance and fountain and is perfect for people watching while enjoying a meal or brew so you could literally spend an entire day here.

Top of the line offerings and comfortable setting for an elegant shopping experience. There's a bookstore occupying an entire floor but I expected much more variety. Mini stores make it exciting but quality needs to come with it. Love the outlet overlooking Pavilion and the live DJs👍🏼 A pleasant shopping experience 🙂

The long awaited bookstore has finally arrived in Malaysia. This one is located inside Starhill mall, right opposite of Bukit Bintang Pavilion mall. Nice bookstore with a wide selection of books and stationary. Plenty of designer stores around too. It has great selection of English books as well. A few nice cafes you can visit. Personally I prefer this than the Tsutaya bookstore in Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are around the area.

Very sophisticated place. A place to shop for brands like Rolex, Shatzy Chen( luxury neo Chinese fashion house); jewellery at Roberto Coin; Hoops station , a basketball specialty retailer; the Chamber for wines and cigars; Balmain , an elegant Parisian fashion house; MST golf premium for your golf necessities; browsing through books, magazines and stationeries at eslite bookstore. After all the shopping, we went for lunch at SHOOK, at lower ground and had a nice buffet time. There is also a CIMB bank at this place.

Starhill, the literal translation from the Malay Bukit (Hill) Bintang (Star) is truly a gallery of exquisite taste. From dining so hospitality to shopping. It just tantalises all your senses and keeps you invigorated and yearns to experience more. It also motivates you to do better so that you can experience luxuries, the world could offer. From the Marriott to Starhill dining, to the designer boutiques to a bookshop even, you are thrilled to ever experience Starhill. A must experience location in KL for the discerning few.

After a long week of streeful endeavours in the office it's time to let loose, I meant completely forget about the office and the unfinished tasks. Well what more can I say when it's a Friday evening after work, happy hours of course and why should I returned home in a jiffy after what I have earned the whole week of madness. I hop into a pub in Starhill called Sentidos with a few of my buddies for a couple of drinks. The place was quiet and there was hardly any crowd, that's not important we like the quiescent, noiseless and peaceful atmosphere to go with our beers. Oh, I forgot to mention that the beer was one to one for RM30 bucks until closing. The place was not bad and I noticed not many were smoking though its not a no smoking joint, the staff was pretty friendly and helpful always reminding us that we still have a couple of beers waiting. There was no music and the music and songs were from the nexus next door. Nothing fancy just let loose to enjoy our beers, peanuts were given free though. Since we haven't had dinner yet, we decided to have dinner else where and finished up our beers. It was not a very eventful night but we achieved our objective of meeting up, we of cause have no intentions of singing the night away or have a flamboyant rendervous evening plan. We needed some space to relax and released our stressful souls have a few laughs and tell some dirty jokes and we found the right place for the excuse. Cheers and adious.

I paid a visit here because I had heard that it had been revamped. As much as I love Shook (the restaurant) and the decor, I was disappointed to see that many of the other restaurants have gone and Shook has now expanded. I preferred the old version that had a bigger choice of restaurants.

Located in the recently-renovated Starhill Mall opposite Pavilion, I'd say Eslite Spectrum is the main attraction of this mall. It's more than just a bookstore from Taiwan: it is more of a lifestyle hub. It spans across multiple storeys. There's a nice art gallery, clothing store, cafe, stationery section etc. You'd have to check it out yourself to truly enjoy this place. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Luxury shopping centre that offering a comfortable place and a lot luxury brand choices. It is in the heart of city, very easy to reach with public transport. In big holiday, the traffic is very crowded.

  • 4/5 Simon Y. 1 year ago on Google
This is not just Eslite Bookstore but Eslite Spectrum, essentially a lifestyle departmental featuring mostly Taiwan brands of all things that relates to lifestyle which needless to say, includes a book store, and a rather impressive one. Bookstore may not be as big as Kinokuniya KLCC, but big enough with good bilingual selections to entice one to spend a good afternoon on, especially with ample seating area(including a in-store cafe), nice deco and warm lighting, they continued to make going to a Bookstore fashionable.

Very unique bookstore from Taiwan by bringing in a whole new different bookstore vibes and culture to Malaysia. There’s a few kiosk selling brand from Taiwan itself before entering the bookstore, and there’s cafe in it. Very chill and enjoyable for a relax day out at the bookstore and just window book shopping. The books design and quality is everything.

A bookstore with a good atmosphere from Taiwan 🇹🇼, there are also some branded products to shop. It's just that the price is not very affordable, which may disappoint book lovers a bit.

This shopping complex, along with Lot 10 next door, were the most high end shopping complexes in the 90's Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur. I should know, as I just happened to be working within these areas back then, and I was among their most frequent visitors..Nowdays, we only came here as The Starhill is directly connected to the Ritz Carlton Hotel where we stayed at, and we just passed by on the way to the Pavillion...🤭

Mix of home deco, aromatherapy (essential oil, diffuser, skincare), jewelleries, clothes, books, magazines n stationeries. Beautiful place but very limited books n magazines (Kinokuniya, MPH n Popular bookstores have better selection n range). Cafe price $$$. Hv some areas to read. Enter from ground floor turn right or multiple entries from 1st floor. Good service from info counter staffs. Couldn't find the books that I wanted 😓

Nothing much here nowadays. Currently undergoing some massive renovation. So it's noisy and not exactly a comfy place to walk around. Parking is surprisingly doesn't cost you an arm and a leg during weekdays. Right across the road is Pavilion. So you can park here and walk over to Pavilion to enjoy your free AC and windows shopping. Used to be the most atas place in town. Now it's a bit outdated and it's definitely showing its age. That's probably the reason for the massive reno. The infamous and not so amazing now, Jogoya Japanese restaurant is located within.

5 stars for the space and interior design. 誠品書局很用心 逛了感動滿滿 #❤️ It’s not only a book store, can consider it as a mini retail store as inside sell clothes, perfume, food, drinks, books, tablewear items and etc. Very nice interior design after refurbished (a round of applause to StarHill ID), together with Eslite bookstore design, literaly every corner is instagrammable. For those that easily lost control on seeing cute stuffs, please prep more money when you enter the store. Haha. There are at least 3 cafes in Eslite, and one more hidden cafe right beside the main entrance. Best to come here by train, lesser hustle to find carpark. Another reason for me to go bukit bintang area again. 謝謝誠品

Starhill Mall is situated right across from The Pavilion, and any branded shop that is not present in The Pavilion can be found across the street in Starhill Mall. This includes high-end brands like Louis Vuitton, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Phillipe, as well as other luxury brands that I'm not familiar with 😅 It's worth noting that JW Marriott is integrated with the mall, which is quite impressive since one can stroll from the hotel lobby directly into Louis Vuitton. All things considered, Starhill Mall is yet another fantastic shopping destination in Kuala Lumpur, which boasts many such malls.

  • 5/5 Melvin I. 5 years ago on Google
Very elegant and luxurious mall. Fancy looking restaurants and shops are in here. Shops are for the rich people only, just kidding. It's kinda like coming here gives you a feel of being in different country which literally out of Asian architecture.

This high-end downtown mall offers a luxurious shopping experience with top-notch stores and a great atmosphere. It's perfect for indulging in some retail therapy and finding high-quality items. However, it could improve by adding more family-friendly cafes to make it a complete destination for all ages.

While this mall is pretty old, it has been updated to match the shops inside. All high end names are in here, with a dozen watch shops. Unless you are wealthy and looking to buy some bags, watches, there is no need to come here. On the plus side, because so little people visit, it’s spacious, clean and has full aircon.
