Environment: 2 Food: 2 Coffee: 1 Service: 4 Long story short: Friendly neighbourhood ambience but dusty environment, my sinus straightaway attack me when I sit down and not attacking anymore once I step away from this place. Can't finish the sourdough slices cause they are really killing appetite, no texture, too hard, and too crispy. Can't finish the flat white. The coffee tastes weird. There's no coffee fragrance, and there's plastic taste in the mouth after you swallow it. The attendants are very friendly tho. Not sure why there're so many overly good reviews, but maybe it's just now for me.

Their sourdough bread is really hard to chew, my teeth feels hurts just biting into it. The lemon tart was alright. I was there for early lunch, so the weather is quite humid. It was okay. Update 2nd round: I tried their oven braised chicken sandwich and it was good this time. I order chamomile tea too and my friend ordered smoked salmon sandwich, but she can't finish it. Maybe it wasn't really good.

There to pack for breakfast, there is a huge parking next to the shop (entrance kinda located at the back). Staffs are polite and take time to recommend which one to go for, shop is not that big with limited seats. Very clean, comfortable (even without a/c) and smells good. Had both cream cheese and smoke salmon (two sizes to choose from), highly recommend both, taste awesome but dine-in would be better. Coffee was okay as well, not much surprises. Overall, a nice place to grab freshly made sourdough.

Had my fair share of sourdough around KL and I have to say this has the most authentic taste. I love the roast beef sandwich the most as it brings out each individual flavour. The pate and Camembert sandwich was good too but it was quite basic. Another plus point is that their fillings aren’t overly drenched in sauces which allows us to taste the sourdough at every bite of our sandwich. Personally didn’t quite enjoy the lemon tart as I prefer my lemon desserts with a stronger sour ish taste. Their space is very different from a normal cafe - open air with an airy and cool feeling. The seats are pretty limited but the crowd would usually leave right after their meal. Service was systematic and good too!

Great espresso and also the ice latte. Roast Ribeye Steak Sandwich to die for. Onion soup is also comforting. French salad well balanced. I also take away sourdough bread - irresistible 🤤 Love the environment and the location - hidden gem in the KL city center. Visited on Monday at 2pm and there’s plenty of seats available. Can enjoy the food calmly 😬

Overrated sandwich joint. Minority here but cant understand how so many people claims this is the best sandwich shop in KL. Ordered the salmon sandwich + add on egg (RM16.80). Received an egg sandwich + add on salmon lol. Eggs was so much, lightly seasoned, salmon was just 4 measly pieces and 2 sliced tomatoes. Overall, the it was just meh.. it didnt go together pretty well. 4/10 Partner ordered the steak sandwich (RM16.80), also just bearable. Not much seasoning on the steak and the hard bread made it a little tough to go down. 5/10 Friends ordered kaya toast. Now this is laughable😂 1 bun split in half topped with kaya custard and butter for RM17... wow. Tastewise the gardenia auntie kaya tastes waaay better. This is seriously overcharging for such a small and simple meal😅 2/10 Service was really good tho. Fast, friendly and attentive. 8/10 Mildly disappointed

Situated pretty much in a secluded area, with plenty of interesting murals outside the restaurant. Parking spot is available outside, RM5 per entry. It was pretty packed with customers, with limited seats and only few staff serving the dining area. You will be directed to the table accordingly and given menu, then order at the counter with payment. Be ready for at least 15minutes wait for the food. The environment was nice, giving a very relaxing vibe, equipped with simple dining tables and chairs. Water is provided but requires self-service. The roast beef sandwich was okay, it wasn’t very flavourful nor worth the price. The bread was thin and crunchy, but sadly I’ve had better sourdough bread. The grilled eggplant and hummus was pretty decent. The eggplant was grilled till very soft, pairing with the creaminess of the hummus, it was an enjoyable pairing. The coffee was okay as well, RM 8 for a cup. Overall, I was slightly disappointed, maybe I had a much higher expectations. Would I recommend to my friends? Maybe if we were nearby the area, if not, it is pretty pricey and I feel not really worth the price.

Great place for sourdough and a lazy morning. Tried the oven braised chicken and egg Dijon mustard sourdough sandwiches. Both were really good. The ingredients were flavourful and delicious. Sourdough was crunchy on the edges and soft in the middle. Gets very busy during weekend.

Ambience: located in a hidden building with expensive parking (typical in KL), very tight spaces with quite a number of tables. No roof overhead and can consider cooling during the day Service: a lot staffs for a small shop, but the waiting time is a downside 🥲 had to wait an hour for 3 pax orders But at least the manger of the day was very nice and kind Food: as good as all the reviews said, for those that love pate, please try the chicken liver it’s bomb !!! i also had half size Brie sandwich, it was great!! however their coffee tasted more of capsule than fresh ones or maybe the beans weren’t fresh on the day I visited but kind of ruined my dining experience as I would love a aromatic cup of latte to this brunch.

I would say that, it feels very comfortable. A great place to catch up with friends. We only order drinks and talk for hours. The place wasn’t that crowded, so very suitable for talking or a simple date. Next time, i would definitely try their sourdoughs!

Had some expectations coming in. Bottom line: their sourdough rocks. Counter staff? Super friendly. But the food server? Impatient vibes. Sandwich practically got tossed on our table like food ninja! Iced chocolate? Meh. Mostly tasted like milk 🥲 As for the onion soup, it didn't quite live up to expectations, which caught me off guard! 😭😭😭 Oh, and bonus points: this place is pet-friendly!

Well hidden cafe with good sourdough bread. Had brisket, smoked salmon and cheddar toasted on bread. Taste wise, very nice with strong hint of sourness which very quickly drowned with bites. Filings were excellent. Cheddar toasted was great. However the bread skin is tat hard and not suitable for poor teeth. Probably there's an option for a non toasted variant which I'm not sure. Do not expect great coffee here as it tasted very bitter with no body and taste. But its a very cheap caffeine charging if anyone don't mind the taste. Rather small dine in place. Ok during the morning, unsure in the afternoon as there's no indoor sitting. The sitting area is in between building corridor. Will definitely come again for other types of filings and toasts and possibly non toasted variant. Recommended.

We stumbled across this little bakery by chance. What a wonderful discovery in such an artistic place. We had a latte and a muffin. The muffin was so good! Not too sweet! Thank you to the staff for their warm welcome! There is also for those who wants to play music.

Sourdough / bread lover must visit this place. Located in KL, this cafe serves top quality sourdough sandwiches with varieties of toppings ranging from steak, avocado, salmon, and many more! Tried their roast ribeye sourdough, roast chicken sourdough, smoked salmon sourdough, cheese melt toasties, and one glass of iced americano today. Everything is simply delicious 💯 sandwiches done right. Highly recommended to try.

Overrated and Disappointing. After many years of reading reviews and hearing about this place, I finally got a chance to come today and decided to try the Grilled Eggplant with Garlic, Sundried Tomatoes and Cheese sandwich. I had quite a high expectation of the food of course. Got the sandwich to-go cos the seating area was quite humid as the weather is scorching hot today. As soon as I got into my car, unwrapped it and was welcomed with a fragrant garlicky aroma. One look at the sandwich and my heart sank. For RM17.80, this was a REALLY SAD looking sandwich. The layer of hummus is non existent, the cheese was no better. 2 pieces of sundried tomatoes and 2 1/2 pieces of super thinly sliced Grilled Eggplant. No seasoning. Taste was barely nothing. Bread edges were so hard and chewy for me to bite into - CAUTION for those with braces, don't try using your front teeth. Overall, disappointing for my first visit. Oh and let's not forget the parking fee of RM6 just to buy from here.

It's an open air cafe and it's located inside the heritage building. You can enter from the street level where the graffiti is, or from the cool stationary shop . Depends on where you're seated, you can have a good view of the Merdeka 118. The pain au lait sandwich is delightful because of the soft milk bread. The sourdough is crusty on the edge, and you can buy the loaf and it's charged by grams. Half a loaf (which is quite large) costs about RM20. Definitely worth the visit in person. Now it's near Chinese New year so there's pineapple tarts and other festive biscuits on offer. Will try their muffin and tart during the next visit.

Superb sourdough sandwiches and good coffee. It can be hot and humid inside the cafe, depending what time you are there, especially when it gets crowded. The entrance is really at the back of the Zhongshan building but you can also enter in the front, walk thru a stationery shop.

More than just a bread! Tommy believes bread is life and yes, his breads are creatively crafted as well as uniquely delicious. It is a rare found in KL and not to mention in Malaysia. A hidden treasure within the busy city and the old part of Kuala Lumpur. Definitely a great place to explore not only the creations by Tommy but also the surroundings, and all those old times elements. Oh ya, the flat white is delightfully brewed. Lovely. Highly recommended.

Environment is good not too noisy. Their sourdough toast platter is fresh and nice presentation. Coffee is acceptable but not my favourite. Order and pay first, they will serve food to your table. Do go around 230pm to avoid crowd.

Seriously, why did I find the best European style bakery in KL? Not in Paris? Five stars not enoughhhh Tried eggplant & hummus sandwich, goat cheese quiche and the bottled apple & mango juice. Served just perfectly, straight from the oven. Loved the combination of sourdough and matured cheese with hummus. Quiche pastry was also so savory. Wanted to have it in my mouth forever. I got the smaller size for the sandwich, still ordering two for one person was a little heavy hahah Couldn't settle in one since everything looked so tempting. Seems they offer different menu/availability depending on days. Makes me feel I need to come back for other menus. Service was also professional. This place is run so efficiently, which I loved. Lastly, the price is...not affordable but worth my rm55 la

This is one of the coolest places in KL. It's located in a building full of art and it's not very crowded. The prices are reasonable and it serves mainly western food, especially toast and pastries. We tried the latte and the muffin and they were excellent, not too sweet. I highly recommend it!

we were really hungry, so didn’t manage to take any good photos of our food LOL ordered their half serving oven-braised chicken sandwich (RM13.55) which was toasted to perfection. really liked the ambience as well. the christmas deco definitely added to the vibes 🎄

Love this place, good food, nice sourdough sandwiches, plenty of choices. The team is very friendly. The set up and deco is super cool! Didn't get the meet the bigger than life founder Tommy, but will be back !

definable the sourdough is among the best that you can have. the taste is on point, not too sour which sometime sourdough maker does not pay attention to this, and at the same time preserving the artistry and texture of the bread. sourdough platter that we have showcase their expertise in this area. the ambiance is unique, if not because of the temperature than it could score higher

3 star for the environment. I had better sandwiches out there which taste better and worth more than this. Bought a piece of bread/bun without any filling cost a whopping 8 ringgit. The staff told me if you want sausage and egg to eat with the bun, it'll be 18 ringgit.

It's insta friendly cafe, not an easy place to find as it's hidden and the entrance is from the back alley. The staff is friendly and gave good suggestions, I liked the open sandwich and the highlight is the Kaya Custard bun...it is so yummy. A unique place where you can try their homemade breads and other items

Loved the quiche and the classic sandwiches. Generous fillings for the quiche. Enjoyed the vibe and ambiance at this place, too. Ample paid parking available. It was a cooling day, so it wasn't hot at all. Looking forward to try more Quiche at this place . Service was good too. The moment, we entered , we were greeted by the waiter to a table with a menu.

Didn't have much time to enjoy the food ordered as the server told me that they close at 8pm, not 9pm as stated here. Sourdough is savoury good, but too tough for crunchy. No air-conditioning, also not airy enough. It can be better. The place has great potential.

Parking cost RM5 by the side and road is pretty narrow so be careful. Had the ribeye sandwich and my friend had a chicken baguette. The sandwich was flavorful and awesome. The sourdough taste isn't too overwhelming but strong to pair up with the mustard and pickles in the sandwich. The baguette has a fantastic bite and the cheese with the grilled chicken was delicious. Didn't enjoy the chicken itself as much but its still good

Tasted their Artichoke + tomato pesto sourdough sandwich and was hooked! Introduced to my mum, she's also hooked 🤣 So this has become our favourite Sourdough sandwich place! Coffee is not so consistent in taste and always the ice melted too much before I get to sip, but the kombucha here is delicious. Parking is faily easy but pay RM5 for the parking.

The Kaya (pandan) custard toast was impeccable. The sourdough and its sandwich combo seen on the menu also new and appetizing. Ambiance was good given the transparent rooftop allowed us to watch the magnificent The Merdeka 118 newest global skyscraper icon. The only downside was the cashier attended my wife and I on the Dec 17th @ 5:13pm. As the newcomer and an enthusiast of pastries and sourdough, the cashier was a bit rush and did not answer our polite question well. He's more of punching the order instead of responding our question on the ordered toast. As a result, the kitchen send us wrong order and they had to apologize us as the price punched on the POS terminal double counted the ordered quantity. Luckily we were refunded as a takeaway. Overall good offering and concept and ambiance but the particular cashier could ruin the whole business if persist.

The Atmosphere is nice, feels like you’re in a S’porean cafe. No AC but very airy/windy/cooling which made the experience ok. Coffee is good but I usually prefer 12oz serving ice coffee 😆. Sandwich is alright. I thought I ordered smoked salmon sandwich but got the baked smoke salmon sandwich (my fault too cause I didn’t check my receipt. Not something I would order again. Will try other sandwiches. The choc chip Muffin is really good! Has a very different texture and not too sweet. Overall , a must visit.

One of the cafes/bakeries that I really enjoy with my partner. The atmosphere of this bakery seriously makes me and my partner feel calm when we sit down and have a conversation. Price wise for the bread/dessert and drinks is considered cheap. Their main course is on the higher side (my personal comment, maybe others feel reasonable). But for sure I will come back to this cafe when I wanna have a small talk with my partner. Their sourdough it's nice and everyone visit here should try their sourdough if not. Parking is free Payment either cash or card Seat consider limited Most of the staff very friendly especially those uncle haha 😊😊

Nice environment! I love the coffee with a bit of roasted aftertaste. Sourdough is nice. Ordered the Oven-baked chicken and Egg Mustard sourdough sandwich, personally prefer rye sourdough (take away half loaf). Rye and banana muffin is not too sweet with coconut taste!

This place seems like a joke now. Used to come here, but the quality dropped very low now. Sourdough is wayyy too chewy compared to last time. My chicken baugette was served cold. > They told me it was because I add-on artichoke so it was too thick > I asked them to reheat > They burnt my baguette :) > Kitchen staff decided to side eye me instead of checking on me. “How is it now?” would be nice. Coffee was burnt. And for some reason, the boss keeps “screaming” to their kitchen staff as well about this and that. Wouldn’t come back.
