My taste my opinion. Me I try once is enough, abit pricey for me, maybe I'm poor 😭😭 First time eating. Order chicken breast + BBQ pork add 1 small rice @ rm 27. Chicken breast potion is big compare to others. BBQ pork potion also bigger then others. Taste was chicken breast + BBQ pork 🤣🤣 but the BBQ pork is juicy compare to others. For me who ever not try before just come once. Never try never know. Better go 2 person if you want to take away, parking there is very hard see your luck.

My personal take for this place is just above average, and the food doesn’t wow me at all. We order one chicken drumstick, a piece of char siew, a pieces of roasted pork and 2 drinks. Total bill is about RM82 These are the other reasons why I don’t like: 1) for white chicken, you cannot order parts, and minimally must order half chicken. You can order parts for roasted chicken 2) to find a parking lot is challenging Good things for the place is that it provides wash basin, and tissue papers.

Queue is always long (at least 30min starting from the 2nd neighbor door) for a minor increment in quality in roast pork belly because there are good quality roast pork belly in KL. But can't deny the quality has been consistent over the years. So it's all up to your queue appetite.

First arrived my impression is very crowded. See a long queue so my bf go to queue. The overall queue need about 15-20 mins to done your order and pay. Took the number to place on your table. Another 30 mins for waiting for the food to be served. The roasted pork really melt in the mouth. This one no doubt it’s good. But other than that, their complimentary product not as good as this. And importantly overpriced. Although roasted pork is good but they can only do one time business. Coz the price is not sustainable to keep customer patron for the same shop. I guess it’s good for tourist to try nice pork then. This kind of drink need rm6 quite insane overpriced. Same goes to Chinese tea need rm1.80. Feel like Im breathing at the shop also expensive.

Non-halal. Recommended the roasted pork belly. it’s juicy meat and crispy skin with 5spices aroma. The lime plum juice is nice, but full of seeds. Lol. When you want to order, go directly to the lady in front of the shop and pay. You will get the bill and wait the waiter to serve at desk or take away.

One of the best roasted pork in KL, old school taste, crispy, the fat part is perfectly melt to the mouth. But recently visit I found that the quality drop a bit, even still Dato’ is the one solely in charge. Need to spare more time to here, as nearby development make it very complicated route to reach, and need more time to find parking, and spare 15-30min to Q and wait. Overall still the best choice for roasted pork.

Parking is a major issue. The place only starts serving at 12pm. If you arrive at 12pm, it’s already packed, and you won’t get a seat, so arriving early is advisable. The roast pork is just as you’d imagine: The texture of the roasted pork with its golden brown, crispy skin on top. Beneath this lies a thin layer of fat, followed by succulent lean meat. Below that, a thicker layer of fat and more lean meat create a layered effect, all moist and tender, showcasing the impeccable roast, and also the most expensive I have tasted, at RM160 per kg. The barbecue pork and roast chicken are about average. Alongside these, a serving of rice acted as the perfect canvas and adds to the culinary experience. I came specifically for the roast pork, making the visit well worth it.

If you’re up for roasted pork, this may be for you. Love the generous cuts with right amount of fats and crispy skin. Char Siew was average, but fine for those who preferred it more lean. Roasted chicken was a little on the dry side but chilli was good. Expect a queue, but it does move rather quickly.

Long queue at 12noon on a Sunday. Pay before eat. Waiting time ard 20min after order. Roast pork is 3 layer meat, taste is bland, skin is not crispy, meat texture is ok. Chilli is no taste. Oil rice is a bit dry. Char siew is normal, not over sweet. Chicken is just nice. Overall standard is just normal, can get in any where, not worth the queue and long distance travel. Workers attitude are good, can clean the tables well and drinks come fast. Environment is hot in the afternoon.

My wife decided to have a food trip to this place as she knew I live for roast pork. I would say the roast pork is to die for. Crispy crackling skin and tender meat with good portion of fats and lean. Price wise a bit expensive as each of our portion of BBQ pork + Roast Pork and Roast Pork + roast chicken cost RM37 each with a total bill of Rm74 for 2 takeaway packs. Yea we decided to eat in the car instead as the place was just too full. A try once to experience kinda place for me.

The restaurant is supposed to only open at 12pm but actually many have arrived there prior to 12pm to reserve a seat. We arrived at 11.15am and we were already 10th in the queue. We were only served with food at 1 p.m. Quite honestly, my emotions went from excitement to impatience for such ridiculous long waiting hours. The char siew was great. The white chicken was good. But the food overall was only mediocre to good. The waiting time was not worth at all. Do take note you are supposed to place your order and pay right away at the counter. They wouldn't fake your order at your seats, except for the soup, drinks and add-on chicken rice. Parking nearby the restaurant is not easy as well. It was to me, the first and the last visit. I hope the restaurant owner would think of how to resolve such incredible long waiting time.

2nd time visiting. Business hours are from 12noon to 3pm. Queue starts forming around 1130am for ordering and payment and then you can go find a seat. They start serving the orders rather promptly at 12 noon. This place is famous for their really very yummy crispy roast pork (1 michelin star for that). They also have char siew, roast/deep fried chicken, white steamed/poached chicken and sayur assam soup. This time round, I just ordered the famous roast pork (2servings, price is based on per serving) rice and the sayur assam (actually its just really sour salted vegetable soup, meant to ease the greasiness of the roast pork) and sour plum drink. As always, the roast pork is really good with crispy skin but tender meat/fats beneath. Very pricey. Overall, it is not cheap to dine here eg a table for 6 ordering 1/2 roast chicken, 1/2 steamed chicken, 2 serving char siew, 2 serving roast pork would have to pay about RM550! It seems that because of the pricing, patrons these days are mostly tourists (fewer locals). I heard some tourists from Indonesia trying to order 3kg of the roast pork for takeaway! If you are nearby, at least try it once!

The best siu yuk in KL, perfectly tender and with the right ratio of meat and fat. Chicken's good too. Arrive early and get your order in before they start serving at 12 pm (recently changed from 12.30 pm, not sure if that's permanent)

Visited Wong Mei Kee from a local friend's recommendation and weren't disappointed. Food was good and shop was relatively clean compared to some other roadside restaurants we have visited in KL. Despite the price being on a higher end and the portion was quite small (for roasted pork), we still enjoyed our meal overall. Ordered half a poached chicken, 1 portion of roasted chicken and 2 portion of roasted pork. The portion for chicken was reasonable, but roasted pork was slightly small compared to the price. Roasted pork was crispy, and fatty if you are fan of fat meat. Not much queue and served quite fast, visited around 3pm. (Photo of the roast pork is for 1 portion, we added another portion after)

It is the best roast pork in Malaysia, still the same taste from 20 years ago. The skin is the best part. The skin is crunchy and not hard, and the skin is attack well with the meat. The bottom part of the meat is cut off, that part usually is dry, tough and full with spices

They trim the lean meat off before roasting & further trim off the brown underside lean meat again after roasting, resulting in the final piece of pure white & fatty roast pork; with so much work & wastage, you expect to pay a premium. The roast pork is melt in the mouth type with crispy skin. But I find it lack of normal roast pork's savoury & seasoning flavour, only some sweetness of the sauce they put on the meat. Good for people who like fatty pork. I am not sure if this is the best roast pork in KL as claimed by some customers, but it sure is the most expensive.

Got here around 12:30 PM, there is a line of people waiting for orders, got double mix #D1 and a drink for cost around $ RM 44. You have to looking for table yourself with # provide for you after the orders, waiters will look for #and bring food to your table. Food : very good. Price : high compared to other local area. Service: less than ok. Will eat here again. Note: the restaurant is on Michelin guild.

The ever famous roast pork served after 12:30. Yes, worth the visit and wait. Their fame on roast pork wasn't it all. Their chicken rice, it is their chicken rice! Taste real good. You can eat it's rice with chilli alone. One of the best chicken rice in town.

Ordered the roast pork, char siew and roast chicken. All was slightly above average but it is quite pricey for the quality. Do not think i will purposely go back for the food. Service was bad especially that it was only after we finished eating, the drinks came out, and it was only after we kept asking for it repeatedly.

I know that many people consider Wong Mei Kee‘s prices to be on the high side, but it is indeed one of the top three most delicious crispy roast pork I have ever had in my life. It was a life-changing experience. Before dining here, I had no idea that crispy roast pork could be both crispy and melted in your mouth at the same time. It was definitely worth every penny for me. I will definitely visit again.

Siew yoke (roast pork belly) is exceptional although it is pricey. Roast chicken and char siew are decent, but there are objectively better ones to be had elsewhere. The initial skepticism for the food stems from the disconnect between the glowing reviews and what we experienced whilst making our way there. The coffeeshop is situated in a seemingly run-down part of town, the name doesn't sound special (and a bit girly), the crazy long queues during meal times, the old musty coffeeshop, and the non-smiling uncle wielding a fierce-looking cleaver. And then we took our first bite. And then another. And then we turned around to look at the uncle, we saw Andy Lau behind the counter, expertly chopping up the next batch of siew yoke. The more we ate, the more handsome the uncle became. Such is the magic of the siew yoke. This being my third time here in 2 years, I can confirm that the quality of food and the skill of the uncle is consistent. The skin is crisp, light, and flavouful. The balance between the fat and meat is remarkable, without one overpowering the other. The meat itself carries a tiny whiff of the porky smell which enhances the flavour rather than cause nausea to those who are more sensitive to the smell. This siew yoke is really deserving of the glowing reviews and official accolades (we happened to be there when Michelin presented him with the 2024 award - first time I've seen uncle Andy Lau pose for a picutre and smile). There are a few blogs written about Wong Mei Kee that talks about the preparation, the "procession", as well as his philanthropy. Couple more tips for first-timers: Try to reach by around 11.15am. The ladies will usually start taking orders from 11.30am, and there will already be a number of people/groups. The queue clears fairly quickly, but be prepared to wait 30-40min before the food arrives. The stand-out is the siew yoke, but the chicken and char siew aren't bad either. The salted vegetable soup is prepared by a relative of the uncle - can try one time.

Always packed with customers. When I came, my first impression was this place was crowded. Only open for 3 hours, from 12.00 pm - 15.00. People start to queue at 11.30 pm. The roasted pork belly is totally crispy and melted in your mouth. The charsiu is delicious, and mouthwatering. The white chicken is just ok. A bit overpriced. Difficult to find a parking space.

One if the best roast pork I have had. Good ratio of fats and skin which melts in the mouth! Serve good roast chicken and char siew too! Slightly more expensive than the usual but definitely worth it! Come early or the meat may get sold out quickly

Whilst they open at 12noon, it is highly recommended that you arrive by 11am to pre-order. I called prior (1030am) to order but still received my food only after 130pm. Roast pork, which was the highlight is flavorful but slightly too fatty for my liking, while the Roast Chicken was a tad too tough and required much chewing. Food is on the pricey end.

A favorite with both locals and foreign tourist (including me) they open in the afternoon at about noon and many people have queued for a spot. Roast pork and char Siew are both best seller here. They have good and fragrant chicken rice too.

Wong Mei Kee is famed for its roast pork, which is still the greatest! Although it is somewhat pricy, it is well worth the money. The is incredibly tender and juicy, and the crispy skin is out of this world . We couldn't stop ourselves from devouring half a kilogramme of roast pork in just 15 minutes. That says a lot about how delicious it is! However, I must mention that the roast chicken didn't quite live up to the same level of excellence. It was decent, with a good portion size for one person. The sour mustard green was enjoyable. When was the last time you visited Wong Mei Kee? I highly recommend paying them a visit again soon! What we had : Crispy roast pork Rm80 Roast chicken - 1px  Rm8 Chicken rice - Rm5 Spicy sour mustard green - small Rm12 Herbal tea - Rm7 Total: Rm118/2px

I arrived there before opening time, around 11:30, and they started to give the queue tag around 11:40. (There’re quite people coming before to reserved the tables) The owner started the first order a lil bit before noon. The number on the tag is for serving, i have to stand in the queue myself to order food. (So you have to notice yourself when to order) I ordered triple mix served with a dish of rice, it’s quite too much for only a person. You can ordered one triple mix and add more rice. The crispy pork is soooo perfect. The roasted chicken it’s quite dried for breast part, so i prefer to have wings part. For red pork, i think it’s quite sweet for me. For drinks i order plum lemon juice. It’s good.

we came here for a 2nd lunch, after hering rave reviews of the place. Conclusion, come early, prepare to wait for a table and aso your meat. And YES, the roast pork, Siew Yok is really superb, comparable to that of some top chinese eateries. Downside is the queue, the wait, and of course the price. Its much higher than that of the typical roast pork in Malaysia..

Best pork belly n roasted chicken ever. Worth the wait. Look at the transparent belly fats that melts in your mouth. If you are not too health conscious, just a bit of fat and rice makes a yummilicious combi. The porkie skin is suprr crispy and crackling.. pefect with the melt in your mouth fat.. Price wise is quite pricy. But quality is superb. Highly recommend. There are long wait line here and service is slow due to the great many people waiting. But the food doesnt disappoint.

The crispy roasted pork is a must try food here, the texture of meat they choose is just nice, not too fat, not too lean, important the crunchy feel on the skin. For char siew, is rather common, not till a 'wow' level for me. The rice is really below par, even outside the common chicken rice shop is more fascinating. The sour spicy soup is quite flavourful, a good appetizer. Portion is good meanwhile the price is steep too, for those who afford it may give it a try. Total price for one person 2-mixed 双拼, RM 37 Liang teh, RM3.50 Small Sour spicy Soup RM 12.

Ordered half of a kg of roasted pork belly and roasted chicken. Roasted pork 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The ratio of fat and meat is just nice cause they are using 5 layers of pork belly. Must order 🤤 Roasted chicken 🌟🌟🌟 I find the chicken rice and its chicken taste bland. The roasted pork finish fast so best to reach there before 12pm to avoid disappointment. The price is also above average, it cost at least RM20-25 pp if you order for sharing.

Came here because many claims say it's one of the best in KL so came around afternoon and mostly the food are sold out. The food is quite pricey but portion is quite big. Chicken breast rice with roasted pork costs RM$27 for each portion. Their service is quite slow maybe because they have many orders. The roasted pork is crispy and nice. The uncle cut the roasted pork like restaurant standard. The chicken is a bit dry and hard.

  • 4/5 Lionel toh Boon K. 5 months ago on Google
I guess dine in the food would be much better but is very good indeed even those picky-eaters would agree their roast pork is awesome mainly because the parts they use were premium and they way they roast were crispy on the skin and they really balance out by not over salting-in-the-recipe they used. Kudos. Well deserved recommendation

The best roast pork in malaysia. It melts in mouth for sure. The wait is very long at any given time. It is just so frustrating if nothing left to order when you get a place to sit. The chicken is also good btw

The place only start serving after 12pm. So before 12pm the que already so long and place are full. I came 10minutes before 12. But only get my food served after an hour. Time is money. Food also not cheap. The chicken rice, dry. Not to my liking. Roasted chicken, i had better. Siew yuk was good but doesnt worth the 1 hour wait, the price and the environment itself. My first time here. The que, its because of the service slow. Just my 2cent opinion.

Great place to go if you wanted a taste of local cuisine. Roasted chicken and roasted pork were amazing, best I have had in a while. MUST order when you're here. Unfortunately the char siew and the rice were not fragant and crispy enough. If the has done it better, solid 5 all around.

Came on a weekday for lunch around noon and surprisingly there was ample seating space as I was able to come before the lunch crowd. The lady boss recommended their hainan chicken and it was deliciously supple. The roast chicken was liked by the kids but as usual, the star of the meal was the roast pork “siu yoke”. The parents loved its crunchiness and the accompanying sour vege soup was well balanced without being too sourish, very hearty meal indeed.

The best roasted pork (siew yuk) in Kuala Lumpur with well maintained quality 👌 😋 try to be there early if you want seated well under the hot 🌞 else suggest you to be there around 1:30pm where the crowd is gone, but subjected to the roasted pork is still available. Some said it's a must EAT roasted pork in your lifetime 🤣

This place has really good roast pork and char siew. The roast pork especially is great. Crunchy yet soft because of the light sauce that's accompanying it. It's a great experience. Price wise however it is a bit on the surprising side. My char siew, roast pork, rice and cold barley for one person amounted up to 43Rm for a single portion. A bit on the pricer side. Overall still great, apart from value

  • 5/5 H K. 9 months ago on Google
great roast belly. v acceptable chicken. char siew can skip unless u like the mostly fatty version. go 1130am to q so hopefully u r the first seating. otherwise be ready to wait 40min - 1hr. If visiting Datos also have to q n wait, so do u. No preferential treatment. the staff are vvvv efficient to get u seated n serve u asap. I think most of the people in comments are cursing out of jealousy. There's nothing to hate about this place. It is our 3rd time here - only cuz we bringing a new friend along. Yes - this is not a place I will come again unless I have to bring someone who has never tried b4. too stressful and experience for 2nd time. But exciting if it's a first.

I went there about 30 minutes ago. That small amount of pork plus rice plus coke cost me 37 ringgit. Or 7.77 dollars at today’s exchange rate. Dollar is expensive these days. Compared to other foods available, I find it very expensive. Less than 30 ringgits could buy hearty meals here. There was nothing special about the pork. SERIOUSLY NOTHING! My mother can cook better pork. And at least I don’t leave the table hungry like this. I went there using google map with high hopes, but it was destroyed. I am here in Malaysia to see what it is like, and if this place is good for retirement. Well, I will never visit Malaysia again. These people are not very nice. They will screw you up little by little whenever you have chance. I received so many sarcastic smirks from these people. Bye Malaysia. You won’t get a dime from me in the future. Oh, I visited Penang 10 years ago, and I was pickpocketed twice. What a disappointment.

the last experience 17/12/2023 (Sunday) was bad. The roasting skill still good skin still crispy but dont have the melt in the mouth feeling anymore. The pork and rice are undercooked as well. There is still blood on the pork taste very weird compare to my previous experiences. Real bad experience unlike before was my favourite.
