Tasty food and attentive service. The ox tongue was barbecued on your behalf away from your table as per your request. Good quality of food throughout. Including the compliment side dishes. The noodles and tofu broth was authentic and tasty. This pork free Korean restaurant has been in existence for decades. Run by a Korean husband and wife team. Recommend if you are ever in the area.

The world’s best Korean restaurant that has good taste, great service, and comfortable seats. I have visited Korean restaurants in dozens of countries around the world while working, but I can definitely recommend Gungjeong Korean Restaurant here as the best. Even from the perspective of a cook, it is truly admirable that food can taste more Korean than Korean. Even if you are not Korean, I highly recommend that you stop by and enjoy the best meal when you come to Kuala Lumpur.

Authentic korean food and dining experience. For me, i had the best Naeng Myeon (cold noddle) in KL. Similar to what i had in Seoul. Brings out happy memories. Love the atmosphere. Affordable fine dining experience. You can choose whether you want the meat to be grilled at your table or at their bbq area (as some people do no want their clothes to smell like meat😂). Pajeon seafood is very delicious, not too oily, not too thin, just nice. The grilled meat is goood. I love all the different varieties of banchan(side dishes). I think around 6 types of banchan. Condiment tasted great too. To avoid sleepiness after lunch i ordered coffee iced😂😂. Certainly made me feel fresh after lunch. For drinks they give free flow of cold/warm green tea- need to request

This review came late.. Super late... And my apologies for it.. Visited KUL in November 2022 and was craving for K-food.. Did some research and came upon KungJung Korean so decided to give it a try.. Upon arrival, what amazed me was the authentic look of the restaurant. The view made me forgot for a moment that I was in KUL.. For that brief moment, it was like I had been teleported to Korea.. The restaurant is super spacious and has a welcoming and comfy, relaxing feel to it.. The staffs are friendly too.. Whenever I head to a restaurant, good food is one that matters.. But service standards is critical to me too.. No matter how good the food is, if the service is not there, I would never go again or even recommend it.. But KungJung is different.. The service there is 👍👍👍.. So, we ordered some main dishes like the cold noodles and stew.. We also decided to grill some meat. The food is delicious and appealing to the taste buds. The second the food touches your tongue, it sends a signal straight to your stomach, awakening the senses, making your stomach screams "send me the food. I want to taste it" 😂😂.. It's just so nice and tasty.. When we wanna grill the meat, to our delight, the young lady boss came foreward and helped us with it, and we engaged in small chats during the process.. I shall not spoil the fun and tell too much.. End of the day, heading there and experiencing the whole thing yourself is better and more rewarding than any words given. It will be worth the trip and time. Oh, and I believe they recently renovated within the start of the year.. I miss the food so much up till now.. Looking forward to my next KUL trip, definitely will come by to KungJung Korean Restaurant once again.. Price wise, I can only say it is definitely worth the value, given the service, the quality, the freshness of the ingredients, the presentation of the food, the proportion, etc etc. KungJung Korean is an authentic K-food restaurant, birthed by a Korean lady. So if you want K-food while you are in KUL, do come here for a bite. And the best part, it is halal certified.. So, if you are a Muslim, or travelling with one, set your mind at ease and just eat...

Very delicious halal Korean food, and some say their taste is comparable to food in South Korea. The restaurant is spacious with private rooms for large groups. Friendly staff and fast service, and also very helpful.

All dishes that I ordered were absolutely authentic Korean style and highly recommended. Taste, ambience, and service were perfect. Staff were always ready to help and serve. Every single small dish was also delicious. Here will not disappoint you at all. If you are looking for nice Korean restaurant at city centre, I recommend here

Excellent service, equally great food. For a foodie who likes eating out alone but also cannot eat too much I must say the portion was definitely worth the price since they gave plenty of side dishes to go along with the main dish ordered (although some might disagree and still say its too pricey). Glad I ordered the ribs cos the marinade was rly nice, reminded me alot of Satay 🫣 Seafood pancake oso nice and fluffy, filled with scallions and seafood but just a tad bit oily, still fine tho. All in all, its more of a eating out with friends/family place because of the huge portions and side dishes.

Service is good: attentive to when we need banchan & water refills Environment: they gave us a private room that has a good partition and it gives us privacy for discussion Food: marinated galbi is tasty and full of flavor. Even the banchan which was freshly made was downright good 👍 Price: Slightly above average considering the alternatives Parking: if you were to navigate by Waze(searching for Kung Jung) it will lead you to park at PNB Perdana Hotel. However Kung Jung is actually sitting in PNB Perdana(formerly known as PNB Darby Park) but both buildings are not interconnected even though it looks as though it is....

Amazing authentic Korean BBQ in the heart of KL. If you’re looking for peak Korean bbq standard in KL, KungJung will definitely satisfy your cravings for KBBQ. All of their banchan were hands down the best of its kind. It was like a rollercoaster ride from their kimchi cabbage & radish to their mash potatoes. Their Galbi (beef spare ribs) were tender, juicy and fresh! Try it with their in house made ssamjang sauce and rice, and your tastebud will thank you for that amazing explosion of flavours. Another awesome mention is their Gyeranjjjim (steamed egg) which isn’t in their menu. It was so fluffy and a great appetiser to start off with. However their kimchi jiigae were mediocre as the broth were kind of subpar. Service was especially good with the owner welcoming us and explaining the menu to us. Also ensuring that we’re comfortable when we’re seated. KungJung has definitely earn themselves the old legend of Korean BBQ in KL.

The meats are very soft and tasty while all the banchans are delicious. Superb service by the staff and the restaurant atmosphere is very comfortable. Meats are from halal suppliers but they do not have halal certificate as there are alcohol served in the restaurant. It is advisable for you to make reservations especially on Friday night as the restaurant is full quite fast. Definitely will come back.

Searching for a halal Korean BBQ haven? Look no further than Kung Jung Korean Restaurant! Their barbecue meat is a true delight. From perfectly marinated beef to juicy chicken, the flavors are outstanding. The restaurant's commitment to halal options is commendable, making it a fantastic choice for Muslim diners. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!

The food itself is nice although it's at the pricey side. When you visit it, you'd experience an authentic Korean dining here. You'd be serve with at least 5 side dishes on top of what you have ordered. There is also a "secret menu" which is the Korean steamegg that is not available in the physical menu itself. But you can order it from the waiter. The price during my visit is around RM 230+ for 3 person. Would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant!

Great flavors and perfectly fluffy, crispy and savoury seafood pancake. Never a fan of cold noodles until I tried theirs. Flavorful spicy beef stew with the perfect amount of tender beef chunks, egg and veggie. The tteokbokki was tasty with savory sweet sauce. Attentive staff and great service. Price is a little steep but the food, service, ambience and aesthetics makes the experience worthwhile. We ordered 4 dishes, shared among 3 people and the price came up to around RM230.

The food was quite good. Fast service and friendly waiter&waitress. Large area with different table settings. If you prefer more privacy there is few room available. Portion was quite a lot for small eater like me. Will come back to try other menu. Had parked at Menara PNB or was it Darby Park Tower. Not so sure but its just beside the restaurant building. The parking was quite narrow and it is ticket system so prepare your cash. Went up to lobby and go around the hotel to your left. Go up to 3rd floor this is where the restaurant is. Parking rate around rm4/hour.

Very nice, juicy, tasteful meat! Best to eat it right after grilled the meat! Kimchi is very nice, not too sour and not too spicy, just right! Bibimbap here is unlike others, the rice is different and taste very good! Seafood pancake is the last touch and its a must must have! This place is run by a heart warming Korean family for almost 30 years! Its Halal. Can drive UP to level 3 parking and the restaurant is just by the door! Best to call for booking first.

Service was superb. The staff was super nice and helpful. The food was good in terms of taste, presentation and portion. Price wise it is reasonable for an authentic korean meal and the portion is good for sharing especially if you like to try new dishes and share. I enjoyed the grill meat dish - ribs (i only tried the marinated ones) and would come here for the food and service. The japchae and dak gal bi is good here. We also tried the marinated cuttlefish and it was ok. Overall, you should try! 😊

Although the restaurant is in an old building, it’s very cozy and elegant at the same time with great soothing background music. The moment you walk in the restaurant you’ll feel a very different vibe, The service is impeccable, food is very authentic and delicious too!

Loving this place quite a bit for several reasons: Good and fresh food, serenity, very professional service, quick, attentive and comfortable. Although it is a bbq place, but the smog is well contained and does not choke the place. 2nd time visit over a few months, and service and quality is well maintained. Ps: u could opt to grille it in front of you or away.

Best Korean food I’ve ever had in my life! No joke! My third time here. This place never fails me. Better make reservations on weekends Lady boss super friendly. Very prompt service and food was super really good. Nothing was average or below average. Sorry I don’t have too many pictures of the food cuz I was busy eating. Will edit again and add more pictures when I go again.

If you've been to Korea you'll love this place. The best Korean food I've ever taste in KL. All the food is very tasty and feels like being in Korea. All staff are very friendly. Price is reasonable. Loveeee the ambience 😍 I will definitely come again ❤️

Exceptional food and dining experience at the place. Very good first impression of the food and taste beyond expectation. We're not ording much but the food for 3 pax and very much satisfied with the portion. By the way, the server will cook it for you (medium well / well done) and sit back enjoy the show. The view from our seating is not much but it compliment from the food itself, we are understanbly will concerntrate on food and not care much of surrounding. Yes it is pricey, but is it worth it? For me its a 50 / 50 chances because nowaday there are many bbq korean restaurant. Not to say its not the best but definitely in my top ten list. By the way, this is my personal opinion and preference based on what i eat and feel at the time. Eventhough, what i review is nor reflex the true extend of the food and business at that time since i just order some type of food only in that particular time.

Brought my parents here for the first time since they love to eat beef. Their service was tiptop and they also assist on recommending the menu since it was our first time. Ordered so kal bi (marinated spare ribs) and chu mul luck (charboiled marinated beef sirloin) and pah jeon. It is better to make reservation first before coming. Will definitely come here again!

By far, the best Korean barbecue & dishes in town. Their signature barbecue marinated beef, seafood pancake, grill scallop, bibim naeng myeon, bibimbap & all of the banchan were amazing. We did not even manage to take all photos because we were too busy enjoying the good food, company & ambience. Attentive and excellent service from the team too. Definitely coming back for more good time here.

My favourite Korean restaurant in KL. Foods are 10/10. Few of my fav are pajeon and cold noodle! The staff are friendly and helpful. However, you do need to call for reservation first and walk in is not recommended as the restaurant is always fully booked.

  • 4/5 Allen T. 10 months ago on Google
Located at the PNB commercial center second floor, this Korean is definitely upscale, unlike ordinary upstairs korean BBQ joint judging from the deco, entrance, furnitures, the staff and environment. Be sure to make reservations ahead as even weekdays can be full house too. Certainly, it's beef and seafood is really fresh, flavourful and tastes extraordinary. Korean lady seems like a supervisor is attentive, going around assuring customer satisfaction. Restaurant window is overlooking troika and junction, some tables can get KLCC view.

Soo good! Ordered the kalbi, wagyu and the ox tongue! Definitely can taste good meat and good marbling on the wagyu. Perfertly cooked. First time had the pollock soup. Was really impressed! And the kimchi was good! Especially the radish! Thank you for giving me extra radish for my take away today!! Definitely coming here again!!

Great food and great service even from the point of reserving a table at the restaurant. The food was simply amazing! I would highly recommend it. The meat comes from a halal supplier however they do not have a halal certificate as the serve alcohol .

Tasty food with attentive service. Excellent quality of food throughout including the compliment side dishes. This “quiet” Korean restaurant has been in existence for decades with really authentic taste & feel. Highly recommend if you are ever in the area.

The staff are all very attentive, one staff will be assigned to help customer to grill to their liking. Very hygienic too, they change the grill plate whenever it’s needed (diff type of marinated sauce). We also noticed the grilled plate they clean it very thoroughly. The beef is very good. The Pah Jeon is probably the best u can find in entire Malaysia. The naeng myeon is surprisingly very good, the lady boss said they do it themselves fresh. Highly recommended for this Korean BBQ.

Amazing and friendly service. Foods don't disappoint, and served with genuine smiles. Have been there a couple of times, and it is one of the best halal Korean restaurants. Must try their spicy octopus, spicy cold noodles, any of the jiggaes (kimchi soup) and of course the meat. It's juicy and tender. The owner gave a lot of complimentary main dishes. A worthy place to eat.
