An
authentic
top
rated
(in
KL)
Penang-style
Nasi
Kandar
(NK)
restaurant
at
a
very
convenient
location
near
Pertama
Complex.
According
to
Nasi
Kandar
Hunters
Facebook
group,
this
restaurant
is
at
par
with
Penang
NK
standard,
in
the
same
top
league
as
Saddam,
Kudu,
Yaseem
and
Ibramsha
(all
in
KL).
For
this
trip,
I
selected:
1.
Nasi
kandar.
Tasty
steamed
rice.
The
kuah
campur
has
good
taste
but
a
bit
on
the
spicy
side
and
tends
to
be
drier.
So
be
sure
to
ask
for
extra
kuah
if
you
want
it
banjir.
2.
Ayam
goreng
(fried
chicken).
So
delicious
and
the
portion
size
is
quite
gracious
in
terms
of
the
chicken
meat.
3.
Bawal
fish
head
curry
with
kacang
bendi.
Very
tasty
and
tender.
4.
Iced
tea.
The
kaw
drinks
are
pretty
good.
It
cost
me
a
total
of
RM23.30.
The
price
is
slightly
on
the
lower
side
compared
to
other
top
rated
NK
restaurants
in
KL
for
the
same
selection.
To
avoid
a
long
queue
and
ensure
you
have
a
table
to
dine,
suggest
you
come
earlier
before
12.00
pm.
In
general,
the
staff
are
friendly
and
helpful
particularly
the
joki,
who
do
the
barristar
mixing
the
kuah
job.
The
ambience
is
a
typical
mamak
restaurant
but
clean
and
organized.
If
you
come
by
driving
a
car,
there
is
an
open
car
parking
nearby
at
RM
5
per
hour.
Alternatively,
you
can
come
by
LRT.
The
nearest
LRT
station
is
Dang
Wangi.
From
the
station
you
have
to
walk
for
about
five
minutes
to
reach
this
restaurant.
The
seats
at
the
restaurant
are
limited
as
lots
of
customers
prefer
to
dine
in,
enjoying
the
food
while
it
is
still
warm.
They
also
provided
masakan
panas
such
as
maggi
goreng,
mee
goreng
mamak
(with
potatoes
and
cucur)
and
murtabak.
For
breakfast,
it
serves
nasi
lemak,
fried
rice,
bihun
goreng,
roti
canai
and
roti
bakar
with
eggs.
For
future
visits,
i
would
like
to
try
the
gaging
hitam,
kubis
goreng,
ayam
kicap
and
sotong
goreng.
