It was decent... Nothing crazy like I was expecting. The waiting times are a bit long. They allow you to take photos but without flash. And overall was a good experience

Love this modern building. It’s next to the element hotel. Upon entrance, the lift is on your left (it’s a bit hidden) but just turn left and you’ll find it! Enjoy both level 3 and 4 and take some cute pictures with your date.

Entry is free and the gallery is very accessible as it's only a few mins walk from Ampang Park LRT station. Really enjoyed the latest exhibit at the main gallery. The staff there are pretty strict about visitors not touching any of the artwork, which is good. They'll come up to you so fast and tell you off there and then. There was another exhibit at another level which I didn't get to finish as I only went during my long Friday lunch break. Will definitely revisit to finish viewing that interesting 555 exhibit.

The most important point of this gallery is that admission is completely free, but the downside is that parking is on the expensive side (RM5 per hour) 📝 Almost once a month or every quarter, there will be a new theme in this gallery. Therefore, I would suggest you all check out their website or Instagram before visiting here, or else you might waste your time all the way here as the gallary will permanently close. Please visit the gift shop, which is opposite the Illham Gallary. Thgiftf shop selling a lot of unique local artist gifts and there is a small class too (support local artist) ⭐ Located very near to LRT Ampang Park and MRT Persiaran KLCC which is just 5 minutes walk from the stations 👍🏽

Nice gallery on the 5th floor of IIham Tower. The gallery is not big and they hold different exhibitions all year round. The gallery is well maintained and after you visit the gallery,if you would like to get some souvenirs, there is a gift shop on another side. Location : Just 5 mins walk from Ampang Park station. Entrance fee: Free

We, the Malaysians, demand a good contemporary art culture. We are so so behind as compared to neighboring Singapore or even Indonesia. Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, and China had reached the international standard. We need to educate and expose the young generation about why Art is so important in human existence, not just Art as a good blue chip investment but to display in your living spaces or inspire oneself. Yes, we do have National Art Museum but that hideous location is just not accessible in terms of getting there. The art scene in Malaysia was minuscule like a fly flew by and misses. Even our yearly Art expo isn't to a level that tourist needs to flock over to witness or buy. Malaysian artists are creative and need proper exposure to go mainstream for an international collector. Ilham Gallery is one of the legit art galleries, the top in Malaysia in terms of location, architecture surroundings, space, and of course yearly exhibition plus recently the frequent art bazaar event "Atas but not Atas" (Lots of people). (Really love the title because of the duo meaning as it is expensive but not upstairs but located ground floor and has reasonable local art craft) And the December exhibition 2022 exposes some sexual elements which usually this kind of topic will completely ban in an Islamic country. Not Ilham Gallery. Art is life, part of human existence, journey, and experiences. There is a gift shop on the gallery floor. Get yourself some art culture. Kelana Jaya LRT line and stop at station Ampang Park and walk to Gallery around 10 minutes reach. Parking is a little tricky around that area. I'm not sure what the best place to park your car.

Located at L5 of Ilham Tower, the gallery is quite compact showcasing artworks by artists mostly from the ASEAN region. According to one of the crews, a particular theme for the exhibition roughly lasts for around 6 months before changing to a different theme. During my visit, the primary theme was surrealism which happen until May 2023. The arts that were on display were pretty cool. Some are surprisingly dark and quite gory for casual visitors as it can includes disturbing imagery. There is a curated collection that is so explicit (containing nudity) which is separated in a dedicated closed space with even stricter discretion like no photography and minimum age of 18. Quite a mini culture shock for me personally 😅 but undoubtedly an experience that will leave me with a lasting impression. • Various forms of art on display (paintings, sketches, photographs, objects and videos) • Free entrance. The crews in charge are quite helpful and one of them is good at explaining to me about the exhibition briefly • The Ilham Tower is a gorgeous structure by itself. Designed by the famed Fosters + Partners architecture firm, the tower measuring at 274 meters has distinctive slanted steel design • Located very near to LRT Ampang Park underground metro station (less than 5 min walk) • There is a gift shop which is located at the opposite wing of gallery tower selling various merchandises

Don't think twice about coming here, truly a pleasure to appreciate the various works of different styles by the artists! Definitely coming back, I could spend hours here. You can take some nice photos here too. The gift shop is also another place to visit, lots of handcrafted items, postcards, stickers, mugs made by local artists. (Support your local artists!) Loved it!

Entrance is free Art exhibition at Ilham Gallery. Please note that the main gallery is closed, will reopen on 18 July 2023. Only a small exhibition Lift The Tikar until 16 July 2023 and Gift Shop gallery is open currently. I enjoy sitting down on the tikar watching the video of Tikar Reben and Pangkis dance performance on the screen. Will come again to visit the main gallery!

Ilham always high quality curated exhibition and artist talk or book launch. It's a very significant landmark in contemporary art scenes in Malaysia. Make sure you visit the souvenir shop too for local designer's works and publication.

I'm not artistic person, but it is a nice place to chill out and can try to understand the drawings from the arts perspective. It also has a gift shop that has various authentic souvenirs for you to buy. Sometimes, it will hold some art exhibition and events there.

went there before lunch time and no queue at all. only few people inside. it's quite quiet inside. not so big but they managed to make it looks big. i went there during kok yuew puah exhibition and it was amazing. it's free at that time to come in. i parked at the linc and walked to ilham building. not hard to find. they have souvenir shop that sells a lot of local made things. worth to go and explore there as well

Near LRT Ampang Park, the gallery located at the 5th floor where you can find the gift shop at the opposite direction. Since the art show is a curated series, personally for me this time it's a decent collection. Like most galleries, you can photograph the art piece without flash. So are interactive so you can touch but most of the arts are forbidden to be touched.

I dunno who is the architect and designer and deserves a kick between the legs for the design and the narrow corridors. But smack in the center of the city. The Ilham Gift shop is a different story. All things are ridiculously priced and not worth it. There is a booth in the shop where kids or adults can make their own post cards with wishes, not a great activity as it is with ink stamps, but a nice pass time for my kids.

Ilham galllery - my go to KL spot for a bit of culture. Showcasing local artists, this time is Kok Yew Puah. Great stuff - great colours. Thanks Ilham gallery! I really do wish there were more public spaces like this to visit in KL.

Free! Just gotta pay for parking. I believe they have rotating exhibits? When I went for it was focused on the history of photography, specifically asian / Malaysian photographers and their subjects over time. From the older photos looks like they featured different stuff before. My favorite part was actually the gift shop, which sells a bunch of cute or funny items - souvenirs, trinkets, and whatnot.

There are few rules need to be followed as soon you enter the gallery. No food, no drinks, do not touch the art, mask on all the time, no flash. I am no one to judge the art but i love all the art there, good job to all the artist 👍🏻👍🏻

Chill and relax art gallery. No entrance fees are required. Amazed to see different forms of art that were on display inside. The very first section (5th floor) was of paintings where there were paintings by different painters. One of the painting that inspire from "Batik + Trees" is definitely surprised me with the quality art. The 3rd floor is themed "Enqirue de Malacca" describing the history of Melaka. You'll get to see different traditional tools, historical memorial quotes from different great person. Just that this floor is extremely small to walk. Overall satisfy~ Hope that Malaysia can have more of this art exhibition that suitable for amateur public to walk around.

Ilham graciously received our school with a group tour. The guide was informative and answered all our questions, from about what it takes to run an art gallery, to how many changes in a year, to challenges of getting the pieces, insurance, mission and objectives and other hard questions. I'm very impressed to the video show this time, and was pleasantly surprised with the goodies from the Gift Shop. We will come again!

I thought the exhibition will be bigger but it's alright. Could see a sort of different medium of artwork which is what that interest me. There was quite a line during the weekend, not sure about weekdays. It was a 30mins wait time but since it was free of charge we didn't mind the wait. The gift shop had lots of cute stuff, do check that out if u like journaling and stuff like that.

Ilham Gallery Art is subjective, you may like it or you don’t. 8/10 experience for me. I sure hope you enjoy the time at ilham gallery, they have free entrances, surrounding the area has very beautiful outdoor building aesthetics A great place a for a date if you both enjoy art. Just a great place to hang around sharing ideas and discussing about art pieces and how you think about them. Absolutely had a ton of fun during my visit Parking: You can park at the basement on the same building. Yours truly, ig @choubyeats

We came here on a Saturday afternoon with a group of four people to see the art gallery. Unfortunately, the main gallery was closed due to maintenance and there was only free access to the third floor exhibition, which is not more than two rooms. We were done in less than 10 minutes. We may come again on another day to see the main gallery, but today we were a bit unlucky.

Be careful! The gallery is very lovely but whilst in the driveway of the building my backpack was snatched by a person on a motorbike. The security was kind after, but obviously not helpful to prevent the robbery. Besides that we thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits. The works are very well curated and represented a diverse array of artists from SEA.

Pretty neat space. Small but well managed. Also, free of admission! When I was there, the venue also hosted a theme 'We could have been young', displaying some series photographs that I found very intriguing. There was also a talk with the photographers, which I think pretty interesting. Some decent space to sit on the 3rd floor, also check out decent cafe and souvenirs shop on the upper floor. Staff are also friendly, including the security guards. Well done Ilham.

Imagine walking into an oasis of art which some would like to call deviant such as those made by Pangrop Sulap and by famous Malaysian and South East Asian artists with a small gift shop and coffee shop after walking among the tall buildings always dwarfed by the Petronas Twin Towers. That is Ilham Gallery which leaned itself to the Element Hotel by Westin. Hidden and is a place with many forums every Saturday. An oasis and a perfect art gallery for Malaysians and all.
