This is a shopping center for a low to middle level. Its place is not too good and and not too clean. It is like Pasar Tanah Abang (Tanah Abang Market) in Indonesia. Their products from Tanah Abang Market Indonesia. It is near a bus station.

The place within the city center, just one step away from bus station. We can buy many things here with low price, especially chocolate. However, the surrounding is crowded is it looks not too clean nor neat. The building also looks old. Basement parking available for RM2.5 for the first one hour. Yet, seems need to modernized.

One of the better branches of my-din, in terms of variety of products. Offers the typical range of health and beauty products common to my din.

I have not been to Mydin for years. Used to buy my hair and household products from here. Very convenient for working people at surrounding offices. The building is huge with escalators at the center. Found food sundries on the top floor. Love the small prepacked spices. Reasonable pricing. Bought a 5kg rice too and I parked like a mile away!

If you want to stroll around pasar seni, petaling street and more, you can park your car at mydin basement, it very cheap (rm4/entry) compared to other places nearby who charged u based on hour. They closed at 10pm.

Everything you need for your home can be found here. This location does not have an elevator and the basket trolleys can only be used in the ground floor. If shopping at levels above, you have the carry the baskets up and down the escalators. A bit of an inconvenience if you are shopping with little ones and you need them in the stroller, or the elderly who have difficult using the escalator

Mydin is one of the places in Kuala Lumpur where most of Bengali people get together. My friend Mr Ashikur was recommended to visit over there. Most of the food is a good price and affordable cost.

According to Google, it stated closed at 8pm but they stopped people at 7.30pm. In fact, security guard (foreigners) very rude and no manners.

This is a very expensive place where you can buy cheap things. It is a place where everyone should go and buy. There is discipline here, it is located in a central part of Malaysia. To prevent Covid-19, this is a place where you can only enter after two injections.

WORST MYDIN EVER.... Earlier this afternoon i went to mydin after purchasing a phone cover and casing from outside , the guard infront informed me that bags arent allowed in (annoyed at first) but i agreed to pay the 2rm for a locker without arguing and so did a indian lady and a foreigner, now due to some strange reason touch and go and debit cards didnt work on the lockers payment system , when asked the guard checked and the system seemed to have broken down... So without being able to put mine or the other peoples bags in a locker the common sense thing to do would be to let US willing to pay customers walk in ... but the outcome was not that ... the guard kept saying no bags allowed you have to use the locker (systems down we cant whats the solution) merely wanting to go in and look for a certain thing wasnt possible and being treated like we're going to steal something ... i know mydin is a cheap knock off of tesco or the poor mans shopping center but seriously its not like none of us had money so we will take our biz elsewhere ... i dont recommend ever coming to this place let them go bankrupt for the lack of intellect in handling their biz ... i dont expect much but i expect common sense ... truly disappointed in the standard of this place..

MyDin is more than just a hypermarket; it's a reflection of Malaysia's vibrant culture and diverse culinary traditions. From bustling aisles brimming with local delicacies to friendly vendors eager to share their recommendations, MyDin is a sensory journey. The scent of aromatic spices, the colorful array of fresh produce, and the lively atmosphere all come together to create an authentic Malaysian experience. MyDin is a treasure trove where you can shop for local products, sample traditional dishes, and engage with the warm-hearted people of Malaysia. It's a must-visit destination for travelers seeking to connect with the essence of the country

Travelling from UK. Store was fine but extremely aggressive security guard outside the exit door. Intimidating, unnecessarily yelling and extremely rude when we simply asked if we could go out another exit. Would certainly not visit again and would warn others of this horrid man. Unfortunately didn’t get his name otherwise I would make a formal complaint against the business.

Backpakers should go here. I and my friends were suggested to buy chocolates, local daily needs here. And guess what..they are all so affordable with good conditions. The building has 4 floors on it with different sections. But you have to explore entire stalls to find what U want. They just put things randomly. Suggestion: kindly re-arrange your store..if it's food..let it there dried foods, drinks, etc. And so do for clothes, stationeries, etc

Good price and affordable cost. Parking might be a problem for those physically challenged or handicap person. No handicap accessible walkway or lifts provided. All goods need to be carried by hand using an escalator only. Trolley provided but useless if you need to push it all the way from the ground floor to the top floor. As the merchandise is on a different floor!!! Not recommended for handicap or old folks to shops here. The Mydin management should address this issue urgently!!!!

Closed at 730 (online says 8pm) the security guard said. Need to correct online, they turned away 50 people in 5 minutes I stood there doing this post. By the way as I walked away security guard left other people (females)in at 745pm, shame on him.

It's crazily overcrowded, cramped & the building is old, vertically tall but very confined. They don't have lifts, so you gotta carry trolleys full of stuffs through escalators, i found it's dangerous. Maybe Mydin can consider to move to a new building that can provide a better, more comfortable & safe customers experience.

  • 3/5 SamArt 2 months ago on Google • 41 reviews New
Well stocked, but groceries outlet on 3rd floor, very inconvenient for elderly. Using only escalator (not walkalator) to bring trolley down to cashier. Got to know the 'art' of pulling the trolley backward. Only sometimes a staff helped to 'pull' it down. Cashier long Q. Have to carry the load down the stairs to basement parking. 😓

Haven’t been to Mydin in a long time and did not regret visiting the place recently. Prices are very competitive. If you’re cost conscious but also want to shop in a nice store, this should definitely be on your list.

Great place to shop for groceries and your daily needs. Price a bit cheaper due to they are offering knockdown items instead of branded premium items. I went to this mall on 27 Nov around noon time thinking of looking for a hairclip and black long pants. I went to the clothes dept and there was a staff (I think foreigner). He keep telling me this is lady. Initially I do not understand what he was telling me but he gave me the creeps. He keep following me around and keep saying this is lady. When I came to my senses well, 'I know I look ugly' and he is implying I should not shop for clothes in this department. So well fine, I walked down to look for hair clip, thank god I can't find the hair clip I want. So I walked out. I know I don't look lady like, and especially in collar Tshirt, and I look ugly but that staff shouldn't show this kind of manner to the customer right. Sorry lah, I am not walking into this mall anymore. Sorry I am ugly, let me remain anonymous

Mydin Kotaraya, Kuala Lumpur. 4 storey, each floor approx. 4000sqm. As a tourist... WOW prices are comparably cheaper here by 20 to 30% than anywhere else, especially branded chocolate, coffee powder and many items.

The supermarket's layout was organized, and the fresh produce at affordable prices made grocery shopping easy. It offers trendy clothing, footwear, and gadgets, catering to diverse needs. Before I went here I read the review. So I decided to not bring any bag. Just small waist bag to put my wallet and phone. They have many chocolates, the price is quite cheap compare another place. But for some stuffs the price is higher.

First, do not compare Mydin Sinar Kota to modern malls. They are not in the same league This is a heaven for those who likes to find a multitude of items ranging from groceries, electrical, fashionwear to toys with significantly cheaper price under one roof Can be overcrowded at times but yes, bargain places are a real crowd puller definitely One can eventually spend hours here looking for bargain items if there is no fix shopping list in the mind!

Everytime I'm in KL I make it a point to come to this multilevel market. I always buy jasmine fragrance oil from here. Very good quality and excellent prices. I don't see to many tourist shopping here. I have to say they are missing out. And it's really close to Petaling Market. I highly recommend it. Bring your own bag to reduce plastic waste. The nearest stations are Masjid Jamek and Pasar Seni. I am a traveling plant-based chef specializing in food science and flavorology. Check out my other reviews on Google Maps.
