Hidden gem tucked in Publika. Black or white coffee for RM5. Good value for money!

Discovered this place last week, and tried it with my husband. They only serve Black coffee, or White coffee, and cookies. We both ordered white coffee and 1 cookie. Price is only RM5 for a cup. Coffee is not too bitter, not too sweet. And I love it cos I have a tendency to get acidic from drinking coffee but their coffee isn't acidic at all. Cookie was just right for me but too sweet for my husband. Also love the chill vibe and minimalistic interior. Music isn't too loud and aircon temperature is just right. Reminders: 1. Make sure to clear your table, and place your cups and plates in the bus out tray, so you don't look like a noob 😅 2. They only accept cash for payment. 3. And this place isn't ideal for people who plan to work with their laptops since the tables are tiny.

Their coffee is great and super affordable! I have tried their flat white, long black and latte. Each cost RM5 only. They don't sell any food. This cafe does not offer payments via paywave or e-wallet, so you need to have cash ready with you. Their customer service is excellent. The cafe is very clean.

This become my most favorite cafe to chill out. Only offer white or black coffee, I like the idea of the coffee focus concept. Offer 2 different beans to select from. And, they only cost RM5.00 in such a nice and cozy environment, what else can you asked for. Their white is nice , not bitter at all; black is good too with good coffee aroma, a bit of acidity not bitter at all. Value for Money: 5/5

Good, affordable coffee served here. Got a bit of a shock initially when we came in as it’s our first time here whilst visiting KL. Moment we entered, barista was already asking for our orders. Thankfully the good coffee made up for the initial shock.

Pretty good black coffee for five bucks. Love the casual decor and the healthy meals on offer - yet to try more out. Only thing is it's freezing cold in here.

The menu has two items. Black and white. The seating is minimal, maybe to match the music. The entire theme of this roadside coffee stall is low key. Which is why it's so refreshing that their coffee is exceptional. A Singaporean blend the coffee has excellent nutty tones and a natural sweetness that cuts through the bitterness of various international blends. At 5 rm a cup this is an absolute steal and well worth the wait to take this back to the office.

Simple minimalistic cafe with great tasting coffee. As well as their awesome pricing for the quality of the coffee. Self service here where you order (the coffee at an awesome price) at the counter and take your own coffee to any available simple tables. Cozy environment for chilling or quick business meetup discussions. And finally, did I mention the price? The price is awesome for these quality of coffee. Highly highly recommended.

Room 203 recently relocated to an actual outlet opposite from where their old stall used to be and are sharing the space with poke bowl vendor, Fin. The RM5 coffee with the option of either black or white is still as good and uses the same CMCR Blend. They've also started giving glass cups instead of paper cups for their regular customers when ordered to go which is a nice touch for their loyal customers who flock to them come lunch time.

I had the one near KLCC. its one of the best coffees i've had so far in kl. not sure if the price contributed to this

The RM5 coffee is definitely a big plus point. Excellent coffee that’s better than some of the more overpriced cafes in the area. Really quick service too. The cafe looks really cosy, no plug points or WiFi though and the tables are small. Wouldn’t encourage working here but it’s a great spot to chill out for a bit.

Chanced upon this coffee shop in Publika and it turned out to be such a gem. You’re greeted with a nice coffee scent when you enter. Coffee tastes great and RM5 is such a steal. Note that they only take cash for now.

Absolutely love the ambience. Looks like a bar, not a coffeeshop:). The coffee is as good as many reviewers have said. Cheap but wonderful. Ironically the scone was more expensive than the coffee. No wi-fi. Good for a short drop in.

For an unbeatable price per cup, I am obligated to give a 5 star. The milk based coffee are done with latte art, every single one. The empty space in the room makes for a great time to catch-up with friends and minimalistic portraits.

But don't be deceived by the cheap price, good things don't come cheap doesn't exist here. in contrary, Room 203 serves pretty good coffee, the coziness of the cafe and the friendly staffs will make you want to come back again and again. They also serve some sandwiches and salads under the same roof, so you can grab a bite too

Good coffee joint. They recently moved from a small "pondok" to a shop lot with air conditioning and more seating. While retaining their jaw dropping price of RM5 per cup! Cheapest artisan coffee in the whole of KL. They don't provide sugar though so bring your own if you need it (or grab some from Starbucks across the road haha). Honestly, they are not the best baristas in town. Sometimes the acidity in the bean is a bit much for me. But absolutely good quality coffee miles and miles better than that garbage Starbucks across the road.

This place serves really good coffee at a great price. Only downside is that they only accept cash. No e payment in this current era is truly mind boggling.

This spot is simply amazing. Fuss free, professional and coffee with impeccable quality. You can really feel the human with heart element here. You walk in as a customer, and walk out feeling like a friend. It’s a special place for sure! So rare and precious in this day and age.

Superb atmosphere, great coffee and amazing prices. They only serve black or white coffee here; I respect this sort of specialisation (i.e. serve only what you think you can do well). Both are priced at RM5, cash only. Heard from a friend that their beans are from Bean brothers, which is really surprising given the price if that's true. The atmosphere is very quiet and cooling, perfect for relaxing an hour or two. For a location such as Publika, there isn't anything else that remotely compares.

The place is really good if you wanna finish some work and have one of the best coffee worth every penny and even worth more. Staff are insanely polite and professional. Totally recommend the place!

Superb coffee with an affordable price @ RM5, for both black and white. Incredible short waiting time and you get your coffee within a minute after placing your order. The drinking temperature is just nice. Excellent for a quick drop but may not be an ideal place if you want to sit and stay long as there is hardly any proper table.

203 have been doing coffee in Publika since 2014 and have been a beacon of consistency for their ultra affordable, no-nonsense coffees (RM5 ; Black/White). From a small sidewalk stall, they're now in their own shop (Fin) with some other great sellers doing Sandwiches & Poke Bowls.

Room 203 serves excellent coffee from a simple menu of either black or white, at the bargain price of 5RM (£1). I’d recommend it for anyone who loves great coffee...but if you prefer sugary, milky coffees covered in whipped cream from Starbucks then properly give this place a miss ?
