It is a small cosy place with 4 rooms with a nice view small dinning area and a pool overlooking a lake. Great spot to have a day outing or party till dawn if you book rooms. They provide a very friendlier service and only giving 4 stars as the room wasn't that much cleanly and it was lack of basic amenities such as bottle of water, sufficient towels, soap and there wasn't even a bed cover or duvet to cover your self. Found plenty of ants in the minibar fridge 😂

Route to hotel is very difficult to go by Car. Specially low ground Clarence cars ( Prius, Aqua). Uneven road with stones and mud. Some distance with cement road. Location was good and owner was friendly. But not as expected

Location was great. Swimming pool is located overlooking lake. Food is very average and tasteless. The washrooms and balconies require good cleaning.

Kakulanda estate is prefect getaway to tranquil your body and soul from bustling town, less than 2 hours drive from Colombo. Well design 04 rooms with all amenities, great view of lake and mountain. Healthily and organic food which serve in traditional way. Highly Recommend for people who searching for clam and quite life.

Location and freedom given by the hotel is awesome 👌. They don't let anyone inside if you book entire location with a group around 10. We went there for a family gathering in the evening so they served us the dinner, but unfortunately that wasn't good, not even acceptable.

We absolutely loved it here! The resort is a beautiful hidden gem surrounded by green jungle and by a lake. The room had a beautiful view, was nice and clean and had a working AC. The most exceptional thing about Kakulanda was the host: very attentive, very nice and cooked as both a nice dinner as well as a huge breakfast. We can definitely recommend!

Absolutely comfortable for a get together. We all 18 people stayed in 5 rooms comfortably one night. Owner and specially the caretaker is very helpful and on call every time. Hazard free environment and enjoyable. Calm and quite environment. All natural.

Nice little secluded resort, very peaceful and quiet in the middle of a rubber plantation. The food was great, and the showers have hot water! Highly recommended.

This was our first stop during our visit to Sri Lanka and we could not have picked a better place! The owners were so welcoming, the food was excellent and the falicities were great. We would definitely recommend staying at least two nights here after arriving to Sri Lanka for a nice relaxing start to the trip! There are also a few nice hiking trips nearby! :)

Beautiful Place.

We had a beautiful family gathering weekend here ( about 40 people). Clean, well built rooms with glass walls over looking the beautiful mountains, lake and a Rubber Estate. The owner and the staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. The delicious food and great service would make us go back there again next year!

This small resort was an absolute treasure that we luckily found. It is in the middle of a jungle next to a lake and has its own pool. The room are nice and have a stunning view over the jungle and lake. The host was very welcoming and the food was delicious. Breakfast was amazing as well and plenty! Would really recommend stopping by when you go from Colombo to Sigirya.
