Room
1
review.
(Only
bad
hotel
review
in
6
months
of
travel...)
Decades
ago
"this
is
what
you
want,
this
is
what
you
get"
was
a
great
line
of
an
annoyingly
great
PIL
song.
Sadly,
I
couldn't
sing
it
here.
We
witnessed
hotelier
magic.
We
booked
and
paid
for
the
room
with
the
balcony,
pictured.
What
we
got
was
the
smaller,
dimmer
room,
with
a
box
instead
of
a
balcony.
How
did
this
happen?
Simple
as
a
stote.
(As
I
know
from
my
former
life
in
hotels)
you
give
the
better
rooms
to
the
longer
stays.
When
you
have
no
rooms
apart
from
the
lousy
one
you
misrepresented
as
of
equal
value,
you
fling
the
last
shorter
stay
"guest"
into
it,
and
hope
he
takes
his
medicine,
like
a
simple
stote.
But,
when
they
are
human
and
complain,
you
(in
good
hotels)
apologise
profusely
and
negotiate
a
make
good.
Most
(unlike
me)
can
be
bought
with
free
breakfast
or
such.
In
this
places
case,
there
was
no
apology,
only
a
mantra
like
repeated
offer
to
find
us
another
hotel.
Of
course
at
this
stage,
another
hotel
would
be
triple
the
price
or
more,
if
available
at
all.
The
hotelier
knows
this,
hence
they're
confident
that
you'll
quietly
slink
away.
Yes,
I
pointed
out
the
list
of
disadvantages
of
this
room.
Summarising
the
replies
was
basically,
yes
we
can
see
you're
not
happy
here,
come
to
the
front
desk
and
we
will
find
you
a
new
hotel.
See
what
they
did
there?
All
of
a
sudden,
their
problem
(giving
me
a
room
far
inferior
to
that
which
I
booked)
became
my
problem.
Magic!
I've
asked
them
to
change
their
website,
to
reflect
the
truth.
When
they
do
ill
amend
this
review.
See
what
they
did
in
their
reply
below?
Same
again...not
about
the
issues/deception...blame
shift
to
the
customer.
Thank
goodness
i
didnt
have
this
culture
in
my
hotels/restaurants...The
rooms
are
quite
ok
otherwise.
I
suspect
our
room
as
booked
would
be
5*
(bigger,
with
said
balcony).
Breakfast
is
good,
but
very
heavy
on
cake
and
bread
and
yoghurt.
If
that's
your
thing,
it
works
well
at
€12.50.
The
team
are
as
friendly
as
a
magician.
Well
they
would
be,
right?
I
haven't
even
started
on
the
weird
Green
Go
booking
website
greenwashing
all
over
this
property.
I've
taken
enough
of
your
time!
